Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Boros looked at the desert surroundings, it was natural and beautiful, he had long since stopped caring where he wandered, simply walking and fighting to protect what he considered precious was enough for him now. He heard someone yell at him from in front of him, oh yes, he had been accosted by six thugs wielding scimitars, desert bandits trying to mug him most likely. Boros turned to them, "I am not one for you to attack, I have no money, food, or water, I suggest you leave me be, we gain nothing from fighting." He gave them a bored look, which only seemed to egg them on, they attacked anyway, Boros didn't pay attention to what they had said before, he was to busy looking at the desert, though he was quickly brought back to reality as he back stepped to dodge a scimitar slash, spinning his body, letting him send his own foot into the man's side, Boros smirked, fighting was fun for him, though he didn't like to fight a lot, just whenever he needed to stretch his muscles.

He dodged the next two charging him, speaking all the time, "I am a seer... I have seen your death, now, accept your fate!" The green runes on his irises began to glow, the men quickly stopped the attack, backing off with a look of fear on their faces, one of them urged them forward, saying it was a lie, but to little to late, Boros was among them, sending a powerful uppercut into the chin of one man, knocking him out as he turned, sending a spinning kick into the neck of another man, sending him tumbling through the sands. Boros got into stance, a side stance, he was almost crouching it seemed, his left leg extended forward, his right leg bent as his arms extended, one low with the leg, the other high and angled over his head.

He watched with minor interest as the figure with glowing eyes bashed his way through the bandits, the scene proving to be the perfect amusement for Seti's afternoon jaunt. He was always happy to see other people killing each other, the chances of his survival raising just a wee bit every time another man died. Survival of the fittest was a fun philosophy when you realized the other competitors killed one another readily to keep the ideal alive. However, he found the six of them against a single man distasteful.
Even if that man happened to be handling himself well enough.

The vizier moved over the sands quietly, watching the fight all the while. About twenty paces away he abandoned his jacket, the sound of it hitting the ground louder then he wished it was. The rear guard of the bandits turned to see the man as he drew his beautifully crafted scimitar, Nefer Ibeh. His multicolored eyes glinted with a hint of amusement as he rushed towards the man, using his right hand to pull the sleeve up from his left arm. The first strike would be painful for the man, but the second would be so much worse.
As he neared the man he dived to the right, bringing his blade along the man's free arm and covering his own blade's edge in blood. He kicked through the sand to distance himself and wiped the blood off with his own free hand, wiping it across his left forearm. He hissed the incantation to his spell, evoking the wrath of the demon bound into his flesh to send a surge of pain through the bandit that sent him to his knee. Lifting himself up just in time to dodge a blow from a second bandit, he barred his teeth and hissed once again, "Glitter, my Nefer-Ibeh."
He heard the twisted laughter of one of the many voices in his mind, this one often keeping himself quiet. As he pressed the bloody palm of his right hand into his chest the scimitar in his hand sparked to life, sheathing itself in flames. As it bit into the man's flesh, his blade barely taking the blow, the heat washed over his face and burned at his skin. Before Seti leaped to the side to avoid an attack coming from behind, the man was already choking on the flames and screaming from burn wounds on his hands and face.
Seti found himself laughing, the twisted voice of Ghashurk in his mind mirroring it almost perfectly. He looked towards the man with the green eyes with a mixture of interest and malice in his eyes, his voice gritty and soft like sand, "I hope you don't mind if I assist, I couldn't resist myself much longer. I do hate to see others using my desert so.. disrespectfully."
'And so inefficiently, a single man should have long been buried in the sands.... present company excepted of course.'
Seti chuckled, rushing forward towards the next target. He used his lesser skill with the blade to his advantage, diving out of the way of a blow and getting a cut across his back. He felt the magical ripple across his body as each of the sigils in the area he was cut tried to mend themselves, his skin not being quite so miraculous as the sigils originally intended surfaces usually were. he would just have to fix them later, likely with needle and thread.
He spun as he stood, bringing his flaming blade into a bandit's thigh, the explosive enchantment upon it tearing the wound open and helping his masterfully-crafted weapon to jet itself through the wound. The wound was burned too fast for blood to come from it, but Seti would revel in it regardless.

Boros didn't smile, the man was helping him... for now, he might have to fight him, he did smirk as he easily took on three of them, leaving only the man he kicked in the side for him to fight. He let him charge him, scimitar going for a slash at his neck, he swept a hand straight down into his wrist, breaking his grasp on his weapon, stepping forward as he brought his other fist down onto the top of his head, stunning him. He quickly went through a kata he learned when he was younger, his hands curling tight into fists, rapidly he started to destroy his opponent's body, grabbing the arm and punching the elbow, he heard a sickening crack, letting go he slammed his right elbow into the man's jaw, another loud crack emanating from it. Boros brought a punch down onto into the man's stomach, not once, not twice, but three rapid punches to the stomach, causing the man to vomit into the sand. As he was bent over Boros simply raised his leg up and axe kicked the back of his head, sending him face down into the sand, blood seeping out of the back of his head.

Boros turned to the man, "If you only came here to kill them so you can have all of our stuff, I need to say that I have no money, food, or water, my kind rarely need to eat or sleep, killing me would be absolutely pointless." He did have a few trinkets, but they were junk people threw out, worthless to most, but he liked the baubles and kept them for his own. He did a short bow to the man, "I am Ouroboros, I am a golem and a Seer, what do you call yourself?" He might as well make him a friend, fighting him would just waste time.

Seti kept himself silent until he had finished his grim duty of death. One target was long since gone from the world, or at least was screaming his way out of it, and two more stood in line to die. One of them was still holding the burns that were on his face, but he was getting to his feet. The other was strafing the maddened vizier. He spun his flaming blade, charging for the man with reckless abandon. A counter cut across his cheek and split the tip of his ear as he brought his blade up, the flame among the blade exploding outwards as he stabbed into the man's side. Blood splattered across his face, the sigils upon them glowing softly, almost hungrily.
He turned to the last of the bandits, the yellow glow of his one eye that could see the man almost hungrily goading the vizier forward to cut him apart. He didn't like that the nature of the beasts within him affected his feelings, his mind trying to sort through sanity and the irrational hatred that each and every creature placed into his flesh felt that bled into him. He wished to calm himself but he pressed forward about his grisly work, the injured bandit that attempted to defend himself finding the act much more difficult then he could possibly have guessed.

Strike after strike clanged into the bandit's blade, flame bursting from each hit to match the gleeful cackles that came from the desert-wanderer. It wasn't long before he made his way through the bandit's defense, splitting his arm off at the elbow before stabbing into his chest. Not a single of the moves he made were easy to read, every action he made chaotic and insane in their nature and intention.
He stood over the man, the flame dying on his blade as he sheathed it. He felt some remorse as the malice died down in his yellow eye, sympathy raising in the other. He would need to meditate later, attempt to suppress the emotions that they were able to push in to him. It wouldn't be an easy task, but he would have to were he to keep his sanity and go about his plan. He looked towards the man with green eyes and smiled lightly, pulling the scarf from his head to reveal the sigils upon his face.
"I am sorry about that, i do tend to lose myself. You may call me Seti, and I do not kill to scavange. Though I will say that wandering these deserts without provisions is almost suicidal, and you should try and find somewhere to get some soon... the sun is harsh."
He pointed up at the sweltering ball of flame that sat in the sky, a smile crossing his face as he felt he was being helpful. He liked to think of him as a guide of the wayward, but there were times he knew he was more of a predator then a helpful hand.
He bowed his head lightly, "And it is lovely to meet you, Ouroboros. You can think of me as a wanderer. I walk these deserts in search of things..."
He would keep the real purpose that kept him within these sands to himself. Most people looked down upon ritual sacrifice and meditation and pacts to trade one's soul away to the twisted and selfish beasts of the elemental planes.

Boros nodded, "Boros or Seer is fine, as for food, drink, or anything else... I don't need it often, I'll find an oasis before I need time to rest and relax." He searched some of the clothes of the men he had killed, taking a small bag of money, he opens it up to check it's contents, mostly copper coins, but a few gleams of silver could be seen, it would help him get a room for a night at an inn, which is more then enough for him. He pocketed the money and walked over to Seti, "Do you know where I can find the small oasis town for traders? I need to get there as soon as possible..." He left it at that and looked around, he couldn't see any oasis in sight or anyone really, just mounds of sand and small gusts of wind.

He looked at Seti's skin, looking at the runes inscribed in his skin, "Do you have something locked away inside of you Seti...? I'm only asking because of the runes on my own eyes, inscribed to keep my own power locked away." He felt his power want to awaken... those runes were powerful it made the runes on his eyes glow, if he touched the man, would he see the things he's done? Or perhaps the runes would hold out and stop him from seeing the man's rituals of carving those things into his flesh.

Intuitive, this one. A seer he called himself, too. He would have to be careful. Seti attempted to hide the narrowing of his eyes, he could feel the malice and the rage building within the yellow one. Deep within, Iggnyxius was growing restless. The fire elemental attempted to keep to itself so far as within the vizier's head went, but when it came to the discovery of it's presence it became a bit territorial. Unless Seti wished the person to know, of course. Which didn't happen often. He faked a smile as best he could, raising a hand to wave it in the air, "You are a very intuitive man, Boros. Though the nature of the sigils are very... well.. varied, I guess I should say."
Which was the truth, mostly. The lot of the sigils all served the same purpose, but each group and cluster of them served a different purpose from the rest. Each set held within a creature of different, varying degrees of power and style. Seti found it difficult to live with, but with each he was given something great, and with each he was granted the power that his heritage took away from him. It was something that the Vizier found himself comfortably living with at this point in his life, at least a little bit.
With a smile, he pointed towards the horizon, "There is an outcropping in that direction, a cave that leads down to an underground lake. You could likely use that as a base until you could find your way to a town. I will admit I avoid civilization, so it is difficult for me to find it. "
Another half-truth. He avoided civilization as if it was all afflicted with the plague, but he knew the traveling routes well enough. He had decided that he would measure this man up, and attempt to get a feeling for the type of creature he was. If he was impressed enough, he would assist him, if he wasn't then it was as simple as that.

He wrapped his scarf around his neck and waved for the man to follow, tracing his steps back over the dunes. He had been using the cave as a base of operations for the better part of a week, and anyone with magical sense could feel something dark within. He had used the cave to become closer to his beloved Ghashurk, and the place become somewhat reminiscent of him. He could feel a pulse in the stone as he approached the place, the muscles of his neck tensing as he ran his fingers over the stone.
"The place is a bit tense.. but it should do well if you need shelter from bandits and the like. They tend to avoid places they assume are haunted."
Not to say that it wasn't haunted. Just not the way they would think so.

Boros nodded to him, so the runes were like his own, but slightly different and varied, he could guess that since they weren't the exact same, but had similar markings. He agreed to follow Seti to the cave, he looked at as they entered, it didn't seem like many people come around here, if it really was haunted his Second Sight, might come in handy. He put his hand on the side of the cave, it was magnificent, a natural wonder not dirtied by the hands of most humans or the cursed undead, he ran his hands along the cool stone of the cave as they entered it, it made his runes glow though, something extraordinary must have happened here.

He followed Seti until they reached an area with a small underwater pool, this would be a good place to rest for now. He sat himself down, leaning his back on the wall, "Thank you for your assistance Seti, though I think I'll rest here a day before moving on, my Second Sight is trying to tell me this cave has experienced some very... extraordinary events, I don't know what exactly, just that it makes the runes on my eyes glow, which stop the visions from pouring in." It was probably best to explain his runes and their almost constant glowing, most people took it as a sign of magical prowess when the only magic he dabbled in was divination and still much preferred his natural second sight.

The cultist found a corner of the cave that he had favored in previous visits, laying his back against the wall and pulling the wrap off of his head. Travel over the sands was rather exhausting, and he had to admit sometimes it was a minor irritation. It was a bit confusing as well if one attempted to understand the need for heavy amounts of clothing to keep the heat away. Much of the garb that one wore in the desert would be considered too hot if one left the harsh sea of sand.

Sometimes cultural and environmental differences were just too irritating to try and suss out. The cultist decided to banish it from his mind. He nodded and smiled to the man as he offered thanks. There was a certain degree of uncaring in his mind but he tossed it away, remembering that he did go out and assist the man and in a way was obligated to himself to continue the charade of nice, not insane traveler. The scars that he bore took away from that, but he figured he had sacrificed enough blood today. In theory at any rate.

He smiled, "The desert is dangerous, I figured it best to whittle out some of the dangers and aid a traveler. Though I must be honest that I am rather curious about this second sight."
He ignored Ghashurk as he tossed a rather snarky remark into the back of his mind, the elemental obviously very annoyed at the question. To him the thought of explaining second sight was a bit like explaining table manners. It wasn't exactly brought up every day but it's the sort of thing one assumes is naturally known. Then again, to be fair, Seti knew little of table manners until the elemental actually taught him it.

The corners of his mouth twitched into a smile as he pulled a small hunk of bread from his pocket and began to nibble at it. To be honest he had never thought of anything in this cave that would require second sight to see. He had never truly thought of it. The place certainly let off an aura of disturbing cold, the sort that scares off other scavengers of the wasteland of sand. To be honest it was high on the list of reasons that the cultist peaked his head in now and again. It offered him silence, and a place to relax during his rituals. He ran a hand over his face absently as he thought of the hours he spent in this place and many others like it carving mark after mark in his flesh with glass he made from the sands by his own ingenuity, and maybe some dumb luck.
They were oddly happy memories, regardless of the surges of pain as he thought of those hours carving went through him.

Boros smiled at him, "Second Sight is the active use of magic that allows you to scry, see into the past, see into the future, or 'see' the truth, mostly breaking illusions. As for my own my eyes naturally tap into second sight and constantly use it, until I learn how to control it the runes my father inscribed on my eyes will stop the mass of visions I would see. When I first had the visions I went a little... insane, but as long as these runes are on my eyes I won't have to worry about it." He looked at the walls, trying to discern any characteristics that his second sight might be trying to react to, though he saw nothing except for the pool, he stood and walked over to it, his eyes began to hurt as the runes started to glow and hiss. Boros quickly stepped back, rubbing his eyes.

He looked back to Seti, "What used to be in this cave...? I can feel a very strong... essence, from the pool of water." He didn't have to answer, he looked at the pond, his runes flashing for a moment, failing for only a moment was all his eyes needed to flood his mind with visions. He saw water everywhere, an oasis long ago. He watched as it was ruled by a water elemental and an Istani nobleman. He saw it's downfall in flashes, the water elemental growing angry at the lack of something, it was something he couldn't make out, but it must be the payment he was promised for the water, he saw human mages bind it and bleed away it's power, slowly killing the oasis till it was only a tiny pool of water with the feelings or rage and hatred of being betrayed. The vision stopped as he fell to his hands and knees, breathing heavily to catch his breath. He was sweating even in the cool area, he looked over to Seti, "I don't think we should be here."

Seti raised a brow but looked to the pool and had a feeling that he knew what the man was talking about. He had gotten ill feelings from the pool of water, but it was nothing that he wasn't used to when it came from the forces of nature. Because of much of what he held within his body thanks to rituals and pacts much of nature reacted that way around him. Here, however, seemed to trigger around any mortal. An interesting path to walk down when he had the inclination to do so, at least.

He walked up to the pool and looked into it's waters, inclining his head and growing a grim smile as he considered the implications of what could truly be here. He traced his fingers along the surface of the water and he could feel discomfort from the beast contained within his arm and hand, her presence becoming stronger near the kindred spirit of what was within the waters. Something else that felt the kind of rage that she did.
This was something he could use.

Seti ran his nimble fingers over his chin and began to remember the wounds he had gained earlier. If this was what he thought it was he could use this as an opportunity to mend the marks that were severed within the last few weeks. There had been much action and work to do upon the sands, and little time to mend the resources one lost during that time. To many, it was the resources of food and money needed to pay for sword arms and fill bellies. To him it was simply the reworking of magics that he did beneath the light of the desert moon.

He spoke quietly, "I feel that... I will stay here. If you wish to leave here I can guide you to a trade station nearby that many merchants use to resupply on the road to Istan. But... I believe you have helped me find something I have looked for for some time..."

He hadn't bound a spirit of water to his flesh yet, especially because of Ignyxxius and his fiery temper. The two would not get along and the cultist barely got enough sleep as it is. But, he knew that eventually he would need it to achieve the goals he wished to reach, the power he wished to wield. He ran a hand along his belly and felt the deep scars of the marks he placed there, remembering the days that he laid in pain after he marked them down. They were waiting for something to bind into them and give them power.

Seti Thutmose licked his lips and ran his hand without a beast bound into them along the surface of the water, taking a deep breath and trying to focus on what was within. Something that lived here.. trying to see it's face. He curved his head slightly and he spoke quietly, "That second sight of yours, could you see facts or simply generalities? Could you find a name out for me?"
Fate had a way of playing itself out comfortably well for the cultist, and it had played it's hand once again.

Boros breathed deeply, "It's name... I know it, I can still see some things, a few bits and pieces lingering in my mind... it's name was... is... Salonis, he's very angry... he used to be very powerful. I feel pity for the power elemental, it is a force of nature, being forced to stay in a place where it wasn't meant to be bound. If there is anything I can do to help free him or somehow bind him to something else so he can at least travel, I am willing to help." He stood and walked over to Seti, putting his hand on the surface of the water next to him. He could still feel the rage, he could feel visions coming through his runes, the water elemental had damaged them, they were still whole, but modified slightly, reworked.

He smirked, "I think the elemental can still effect the outside world... I can... semi-control the visions now, they come slowly, allowing me easier control. I can pick out things... hold them in place, but only for a few moments. I can try to see what kind of ritual was used to bind it, try to figure out a way to undo the magics, or perhaps a loop hole in their magical ritual." He focused his mind, he saw the ritual taking place, mystic runes inscribed in the walls and entrace of the cave, many measures being taken to keep it sealed. He saw the runes slowly losing power, slowly fading, only the final defensive measure remained, runes inscribed at the edge of the pool, eroded by by water, but the magic was still there, raw and potent. He blinked a few times, banishing the visions from his sight, "All of the defenses have... disappeared with age, even the runes for the final measure are gone, but the magic is still here, if we could harvest the mana here or maybe disperse it... we could free it and speak to it." He could try casting magic, but he only knew one spell and it was useless here, perhaps Seti knew something to get rid of it.

Seti repeated the name a few times in his mind, cementing it where he could hold onto it. He placed his palm onto the stone under the water's surface. He spoke the name in his head once again, this time with conviction and setting it in stone. He closed his eyes as a chill went down his spine, his entire body shaking as the water elemental appeared in his vision, bringing him to a place where he could look it eye to eye. He stood in the middle of a lake, the creature only a pair of eyes, the rushing water he was in the body for the beast.
Who are you to intrude here?

The voice pervaded his mind, making waves of nausea wash over him with each syllable. He didn't feel repulsed or afraid as he did the first time he went through this, but only exhilaration. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end, a smile crossing his face. He spoke slowly, his lips in the real world moving and speaking just as they were in this elemental-scape, "I am Seti Thutmose, Salonis of the desert waters. I call to you within, and now call you without. I come first offering a pact, and if you are to turn it down I shall call to you without and come to you with demands. What say you?"

The waters in his vision shifted, moving angrily as if the beast was trying to tear at the flesh of the man peering within him. He could feel restraint, the ease of which he could actually do it with how engrossed the fanatic made himself with the vision. He wanted to leave, and he could sense the anchors within Seti that could help him do that.

As the waters died down Seti looked into the spirit's eyes, and he could feel a deadly calm in them, and... was it elation?
The chills got stronger before the dream began to bleed away, and he was launched from the pool of water.

Seti laid on the floor for a moment as the waves of nausea hit him again, keeping him cold and heavy on the floor. For only a moment he wanted to remain on the floor, letting the tingling in his fingers and gut to last forever, until he rotted away and became one with the place. Or, much more likely was taken to his end at the hands of those he bound into himself.
He sat up slowly and looked to his blade and then the pool, drawing the blade from his hip and holding it over the palm of his hand. He had to suppress the rage he could feel from the fire elemental within, it's flames trying to ignite along his blade. It shined orange as if it were about to melt for a moment until the cultist could finally gain complete control.

He ran the blade along his hand slowly, making sure it was deep enough that it wouldn't close until he wrapped it shut. He would need a lot of blood for this. His hand shook under the blade, making it difficult for him to make it clean, or to keep his voice even, "I have a method of simply changing which prison it shall go in. I have no ability to control or manipulate mana, I cannot use magic in a conventional sense. What I can do is make the runes use my blood, which will make me the holder of this prison's key. Blood is the most powerful focus of magic in my culture, and teachings. Using it I can offer Salonis somewhere to rest, and a crusade to stand for."

Seti placed his bloody hand in the pool and the waters began to slowly stain blood, and he could feel a hunger from the pool know. Salonis was hungry with rage, and the blood of humans would be the most delicious thing to him. Seti would use this. He pulled his hand from the pool and began to trace twin runes of those that were on his stomach in the stone around the pool, meticulously ensuring that each one was a perfect twin in size, shape, and even going so far as to dab blood onto each rune as he finished transcribing it.
He didn't turn to speak to Boros, "It would be best if you kept your sight off from here, but this ritual takes a while. If there is anything you think you could do to help it would be welcomed. The last three times I did this I didn't come out on top of it in the best shape."

Boros watched as Seti spoke, he was obviously communing with the elemental, he watched as he talked to him, and finally collapsed onto the ground. He listened closely to Seti's words, runes and blood for a medium of magic, he would simply change the prison, giving the elemental at least the ability to move from this area. He nodded towards him, knowing of only one thing he could do, "I can help out with patching you up once this is done and watching over you as you rest. Though that is all I can do unfortunately. I will start preparing bandages and the like, along with some cloth to rest upon." He went about his work to allow Seti some silence and room to let him work his power.

He looked through the small pack he carried around, taking out a roll of bandages, a cloak he never used, it would be useful for extra bandages or bedding for him. He laid out the bandages and cloak, ready to help out Seti when he was done with the ritual. He did as Seti suggested, he averted his eyes and waited, "I will help you once this is over Seti, I hope it won't take long. Powerful magic or creatures possessing powerful connections with nature... tend to draw unwanted attention." He remained silent afterwards, waiting for him to complete his ritual.

Seti carefully paced about the lake until each symbol on his stomach was repeated thirteen times, one one perfectly replicated and sized as to not disturb the magics in any way. What he was going to do was delicate and dangerous, and if one didn't take proper care it would destroy them. A look of grim determination was set on his face as he began to repeat the symbols onto the walls around them in a straight a line as his fingers could muster. His arm was starting to shake with the amount of blood he was losing, and he knew he would need to take care of the wound soon.

He looked towards the pool and sighed, tossing his scarf aside. He tapped a hand onto his belt and regretted that he was lacking the athame he carved from glass. It would be perfect for this ritual, the only tool he trusted to carve the delicate runes etched into his flesh, a work that he would need to do to ensure that each is perfect and pristine. He would happily admit that that was part of the ritual he actually looked forward to, to cut into the flesh and feel the elemental rush in to fill the wound.
It was a purifying pain.

Seti removed his shoes and stepped into the water, feeling the scars of his feet tingle with the presence of the water elemental. He felt that the being wished to fill in every single rune that was etched into his body, but he couldn't move into them, not without the proper rituals to pave the way. Seti took a deep breath and stepped into the water, letting the water wash over his bare stomach. The blood did not wash from the wounds, instead the blood in the water began to spiral and twist around the cultist. As drops of blood dropped from his hand it began to spiral faster, a smaller whirlpool swirling in the water.

Seti's voice began to change to a monotone, sounding as if three other voices spoke with him. The most audible amongst them was stoic, and sounding as ancient as the stones. The second was a ragged voice, sounding impulsive and full of rage. The third, a woman, sounded serene and yet hiding something beneath the surface of her tones. They all spoke as one, "Upon this soul make a forge with your life's flame. Upon this forge, place the blade of your wrath. Upon your wrath shall I strike the hammer of my resolve. Through my resolve release your burning rage."

They chanted over and over again, Seti slowly dipping himself into the water until he was setting down on the stone, his head barely above the surface. He could feel an invisible force biting and clawing at him beneath the water, the rage and agony of the spirit having lived here trying to find the right emotion to place upon the man that would do the same to him that those who bound him before did, only with another cage.

Seti's voice was his own as he remained calm, setting as solidly as he could as he chanted the name of the Elemental over and over again. Each time he spoke it it had more weight behind it, the water rippling with each iteration of the name. Seti could feel his chest shaking with each reverberation, the water physically pained by the sound of it's spirit's name. The presence from the dream before came to him again, causing him to toss his head back painfully. It's voice came audibly from his mouth.
"You are brash, mortal, and arrogant to your power. Let us see if you are more deserving then those who have barely contained me..."

He bit down hard, barely moving his tongue from the way of the bite. His lip was not so lucky, and blood began to run down his face. Within his head he could feel the many presences within that were not so aggressive twirling and writhing, fighting against the flooding power of the force trying to force itself within.
His thoughts went blank as his head began to pound. For a moment his only wish was it would be over.

Boros waited, listening in on him, he heard him walk, chant, and do what he needed to do. Though when he heard the multiple voices, he knew something wasn't right, he turned his head, looking at what was happening, the visions overwhelmed him, sucking his mind into the psycho-planes. He found himself transparent and floating, he looked down at Seti, he seemed to be made of fire, earth, and darkness along with his mortal form, he must have done this before, but with the elements of fire, earth, and darkness, it was the most interesting thing he'd seen since the research on how he was created. He floated downward, standing on top of the water that covered the place, he had only read research material about psycho-planes from his father's notes, now he could do his own research on the subject.

He walked over to Seti, "Seti... as you can see I... well... I looked, it seems whatever is happening was powerful enough to force me into your psycho-plane through my second sight. My father had a few notes about this, seers with powerful second sight have the power to do this, I'm not that powerful so I need to be invited or pulled in. Which I obviously was, well since I'm here I can help you Seti, only if you allow me to though, I can't do anything in your psycho-plane unless you allow me to." He looked around, seeing the glowing eyes and watery form, the elemental was here... and it seemed like they were going to fight each other. His lack of knowledge of what he could do on the psycho-plane would limit his abilities here, he had no real idea of what he could do, he would have to dabble in it some more, maybe weakened minds... he would have to go to a tavern to test his theory, a few drunks won't mind having their heads messed with.
