Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Evals sighed, first off. The stuttering was getting on her nerves. Second was that this could be a whole lot worse on Diana. "I suppose it could be a lot better, but I could make it a lot of suffering if you want." She said and looked over her work at clearing out the the arm. It looked well, but both of her hands were covered in the woman's blood. She stared into the blood and considered the Vampire's options.

Well, she didn't want to be a Human and they liked it the way they were. "You Vampires are like addicts, perfectly content in your curse. Very well, I won't." Evals said and picked up the coin. She would be able to get it back anytime if she wanted. Hunting down a Vampire and a Bandit that sounded this reckless was probably a very simple task. Evals looked at Diana again and put one of her hands near her mouth. Her gauntlet coated in blood.

"Here, stay conscious for me." Evals said as she used her other hand to wedge the coin into the arm, inbetween the bone where there was a gap. Above them, a rain cloud would start to form that will forever rain down on Diana. Casting Greater Dark Regeneration, Evals started to heal the arm to seal the coin inside. It took a little minute, but enough time for Evals to get soaked under the rain cloud. "There, all done with that."

Diana was not in her right mind. Blood loss was taking it's toll, even as the word was being sealed. Unlike last time, this object was not quite as big and bulky, and hurt less inside her. Diana felt somewhat like a bag of flesh, made to carry Emily's stuff. She wondered for a moment what she would look like as a flesh purse. That was silly. She was so silly sometimes. "Emily gives... nicest presents..." she sounded weak, but she wasn't stuttering anymore at least, and that was a good thing.

Diana squirmed in the webbing. She needed to move. She needed to see. She needed to hunt. If she could open her eyes right now, they would be red with hunger and need. "So thirsty, Emily," she said, sounding desperate. "Can I have a drink, please?" While waiting for an answer her mind wandered off in weird places, and she hummed weakly to herself, seemingly incapable of just letting herself rest.

"I made a song for you, Emily," she said when Emily answered her. "I think it's pretty." Yes, she definitely needed blood otherwise the lack of it may have rather permanent effects on her brain, which may have come loser only from the lack of it.

Evals wasn't listening to Diana as she thought about everything that she had on her. What could she do next? What did she have to work with in the rain. Maybe this was enough the way it was, time to let Diana go. One last thing, but maybe let the Vampire feed for a little bit. Evals started to tear away the webbing to release Diana's arms. "Okay, you're going to go and feed on someone then. Just two rules for doing this. You have to ask and they have to say yes." She said and pulled the webbing off of the woman's eyes, rarely as to not rip eyeballs out. Eyelids, those were possibly coming with the webbing. "And a song? How sweet."

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes," said Diana, who's mind seemed to be slipping worse and worse by the second. "I'll find a pretty blood pack, and if it goes 'please, please, drink me!' I'll dig in!" Her eyes were red when they came out again. "Ow! Emily, that hurt," she screamed, but she was lucky enough to only lose a few eye lashes. Those would grow back. "I don't like it when you hurt me. It gets in my head and stays there forever and ever."

Diana's eyes went towards the streets full of people, still running from the fight. Hunger drove her mind away from her pets who still seemed to be going with the running approach to combat, and into who to bite. Did she want a man or a woman? Emily wanted her to play nice, so she would have to go with a girl. Diana could not play nice with any man for long. "My song goes..." she said, and then burst into song.

"I met her as I did any other,
jumping down from a tree.
She looked at my blade,
and her face got full of childish glee.

"Threw me up,
played around.
Spiders came,
from the ground.

"Threw them down,
tried to get away,
but you, dear Emily,
were still ready to play.

"Cut me up,
put it inside,
made me squirm,
made me writhe.

"Told me not
to take it out.
I got out a knife,
dug in with a shout.

"Woke up alone,
but you never really leave.
Took my dreams away,
you evil little thief.

"Emily, oh Emily,
the things you can do to me.
No matter where I run or hide,
I feel your gift inside."

Freaking Vampires... Losing their minds when lack of blood is involved. Then again losing their minds when blood is involved as well. They were a weak minded type, usually being Human didn't help their wills be any stronger than normal either. Evals listened to the song as she watched the fiasco go on on the streets below. The worg was on the run from Johnson and Gul was fighting with the fire elemental in the air, neither really giving much to the other in terms of vice.

"I hope you know that song could scare young children. Could be some proper folklore right there." She said and thought about it, folklore telling kids to not be bandits in case you run into Emily... Evals perched herself on the ledge of the roof and waited for Diana to go about her business. Once she was gone she would call off Gul and Johnson and watch what played out from there.

Diana, as soon as she was free, used her last bit of real energy to blink down to the streets. She ducked into an alleyway and watched, and waited, her predatory eyes unblinking as they waited for someone close enough to snatch. She felt exhausted, and thought she might well need to go after a woman anyway just so she would have the power to hold her still. And it just so happened a woman, pretty, brunette, young, and with only a dagger on her belt.

Diana grabbed the woman and pulled her into the alley. She slammed the girl into the wall, her elbow pinning one arm while her hand was at the woman's mouth, and her other arm pinned her wrist down. Diana smiled and rubbed up against her. "Would you mind being my meal tonight?" she asked. The woman shivered, and tried her hardest to shake her head no. "Why yes, I would love to be meal to such a beautiful and cunning vampire," Diana said, doing her best to make it sound like another voice, though truth be told it was still not a good attempt.

"That's so sweet of you, dear," Diana said, warmly and wasted no time in digging her fangs into that neck and drinking her fill. Sadly, the girl would not have enough blood to stay with Diana any longer and died in her arms, Diana was too hungry to even attempt to keep her alive. The blood flow ended her inability to think properly, but there was a rush of excitement and energy that filled her. As she drink her fill, she looked back up to Emily.

Diana whistled and the worg, hearing that, came running, Fira following close behind. "Ride like the wind, Ash," Diana said as she jumped on and held tight. It would be a rough ride, but the worg went at top speed to get away from this area.

Of course Diana couldn't play by the rules. Evals was done with her, though. Once the Vampire was done with the woman, the zombie turned her head to the blood crazed maniac. Once Diana had looked back, she only saw the small girl standing on the roof for a single moment. If Diana had good eyes, she might be able to tell a smile on the child's face. That same playful smile. The next moment was filled with fire started up and became powerful and fast.

A large tornado of fire formed around Evals and reached into the sky itself. It stayed in the same location and spun with horrible ferocity and velocity. The flaming tornado was a Fire Storm, and after a few moments it would disperse leaving nothing but burnt marks on the roof of the building it was formed on. The child was gone, but if anyone went to check there was no traces of anything being burned within.

No chase was given to the pathetic Vampire.

The rain was beginning to fall as the vampire ran on the back of her worg. She did not stare at Emily enough to see her vanish in a pillar of flame. The elation of the new blood flow did not last too long as the horrors of Emily returned to her head, bringing with it what would surely be more nightmares. Diana only sighed lightly. Now Emily knew where she was, Diana needed to get out of Balefire. She would take some native soil with her and go far, far away from here.

As the worg slowed down, realizing no one was following, she turn her head to see Diana had fallen asleep, shivering. Ash used her teeth to grab Diana by the collar of her shirt and slowly slide her off as they got to the covered wagon. She jumped inside it and pulled Diana onto the small sheets inside that were piled to make a pseudo-bed. She pulled a cover onto the silly furless creature and Fira made to warm and dry the two off.

But there was no real rest for Diana, as in her dreams it rained just as heavily, and the flying head of Emily chased her childish self, proclaiming she would play with her forever. And Diana thought it to be true.
