| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"I'm sorry to hear about your sister, Lyvian. It is always sad to see one's own family go astray and wind up in conflict with them," said Logan, finishing his second cup before rising. As she told him about the plants she was seeking, Logan motioned for her to follow, but would wait until she'd finished her tea to do so. Once she was on her feet, Logan would lead her upstairs into the large study that encompassed the entire second floor of his home. "Be careful when you enter my study," Logan said as the two of them padded up the stairs, him in his socks and her with her bare feet, "I'm still reorganizing the study after much of it was ruined during my time away. My section on survival and herbology is completely intact, however." As they entered the study, Logan gestured to his large leather resting chair near the fireplace and the footstool sitting next to it. Strewn about the study were large piles of books, on tables and the floor, and numerous empty bookshelves. "Feel free to put your feet up and relax, Lyvian," Logan said, "I'm sure after all that time in those little slippers, your feet will be aching quite well. Start the fireplace, too, before you do so. You'll need some light for reading, after all." The ranger moved to his bookshelves and pulled over his navigating ladder. Climbing to the second tier of his shelves, Logan skimmed through his collection of books before pulling out a small book that detailed numerous herbal remedies that could be made from plants in Norwood Forest. Setting this down on the small table next to his resting chair, Logan turned to Lyvian. "I'll bring up the tea I made earlier once you sit down and put your feet up," he said, before making her an offer, "You're welcome to stay this evening, milady, if you wish. While you're up here reading, I could make us up something to eat. Is there anything, in particular, that you cannot eat or do not like eating?" |
