| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"One fish, two fish, three fish...uhm...four fish..and then it was five fish." the sound of a voice said from down the shore, Azreal liked to count things and was right now watching some fishes he saw in the water. The little boy was dressed in the normal green outfit his mother got him before, it was working very well with his green hair. He laid down on his stomach at a rock looking down into the water. "five fish, yeah it's five fish down there." But like with everything else the little child quickly lost interest and stood up, he jumped over from rock to rock until he arrived to the shore again. Then he began to walk alone the waterline, staying out from the water....but still trying to be as close as possible without getting wet. "Let's build a castle!" he decided and skipped away to find a nice enough spot in the sand, he began to dig and collect the sand into a large pile. Alice rarely had to care about what her son did, he could take care of himself a little now and then when he was away from the teacher and her. That and he was not even 4 years old yet. |

Damn sand! i hate sand!Yelled chaos as he stopped around the beach. He was in a very bad mood and was showing no signs of getting better anytime soon. The red demon was lost, completly lost with out a clue of where he was. and this was making him even madder. All he knew was that he was somewhere on the shores of the moonsea, but only having been here twice for like five minuets, he wasnt sure at all how to find his way back to the forest. It was a massive ocean on one side, and a massive rock face on the other. about twenty feet of beach from sea to rock was all he had to walk on, and no one in sight. Now he was not one for asking for help, but he was so despreate that right now he was game for all the help he could get. Afterall he would just eat the person after they helped him. After about thirty minuets of walking his temper was getting shorter and shorter, to the point now that he was cursing and yelling at birds who flew over head. He was almost to his breaking point when the rock face just stopped, opening up to a wide beach in front of him. Down the shore off in the distance he could see the docks, and was now aware of where he was. With a big sigh he trodded up the beach, his heavy demon armor rattling the whole time. His massive cutter and reflection buckler was strapped to his back, his helmet located in his back bag. Not many people were on the beach, all seemed away preoccupied with other things, all save a small little boy. He looked no older than five, with no one around to be watching him. with a evil grin he walked up to the small boy. In his sweetest nicest tone he spoke as calmly as he could, although his voice was still deep and filled with death. Hey there little boy. Are you out here alone? Where are your parents, they must be awefully scared not knowing where you are. He bent down on one knee to get closer to the boys face. My name is Zion, i can help you find your mommy if you want.He lied, telling the name of his human host instead of his. Even though this kid was young eh look smarter than he should be. so telling him that his name was chaos may alert him more than a normal name like zion, a human name. |

Azreal did not react until he noticed the shadow of Chaos when he stood just a few feet away from him, he blinked as he slowly looked up at the stranger with curious eyes. He examined him, still holding a chunk of sand in one of his hands. "Hi Zion, my name is Azreal" he said with a happy smile. "Mommy? Well I don't know where she is, I think she was in the town the last time I saw her" he pointed a finger towards the ruins of Taras, the remains of the town was not far from the beach. "I'm building a castle made of sand" he explained and crawled around the pile of sand he had created so far. It looked more like a small mountain of...well sand. He looked at the large demonic male over the pile. "Mama is never worried about me and she knows where I am even if I do not know where she is." he paused and dissappeared behind the pile of sand for a few seconds. From the sound he was digging again. Azreal stood up and walked back out from behind the pile. "Mama is an archmage, she is really powerful." the little half-elf got a thoughtful expression on his face as he examined Chaos. "Your really big mister Zion, I bet your really strong to?" he tilted the head a little to the left as he asked this innocent question. |

Chaos watched intently at this small boy, going about his adventures while also holding a conversation with him. He was a very interesting small child, the smartest of his age Chaos had ever seen. Even though the demon was being nice and sweet eh was still a very ugly and demonic looking man, so it was odd that this kid was not afraid nor did he show any signs of being scared of this beast. He said his name was Azreal, and that his mother was a archmage. A small smirk showed on his face. So this boy was completly out, there was no doubt his mother taught him something to survive with. While the boy continued his sand building routine chaos stood, brushed the sand off his armor and and took a very proud stance. Well actually Azreal, i am strong, very strong indeed. But not like your mother. You see im not a mage in any sense of the word other than the fact i posses small arcane knowledge. In fact i am a warrior, a bladesmen with skill in physical combat. He smiled at the kid and walked over to him. he knelt down a bit more and started to pile some sand up into a hill, trying to create a mimic of what the kid was creating. |

Azreal seemed pleased with the reply Chaos gave to his question, he also nodded a little. "Yeah that was what I thought, you look strong." he commented. "I'm also a little strong I have muscles." he flexed his arm.....well not that impressive, but he seemed kind of cute more then intimidating. But of course Azreal did not seem to care much about that small face about his size or age. He watched as the demon walked over to help him with the sand, he watched curiously and then he smile happily. "Your going to halp me?" he asked, then he nodded. "Yes that will be fun....I'm making home, it's a large dark castle with many demons." he explained, his eyes went from Chaos to the sand and then back to Chaos once more. "But the sand falls apart all the time, I do not know what to do for it to stay and not go away." he pouted a little and gave the pile of sand a small kick. |

Chaos felt odd, like instead of a deep urge to slaughter and eat this child, he wanted to stay and watch, just be here and take in the moment. It was really odd, he was use to fighting and killing, for it always made him happy to bo coated in the blood of others. But for some reason he felt like just staying here with Azreal and building a sand castle. The brutish demon let out a small chuckle as the child flexed his mucles, showing that he to was strong like chaos. He was not afraid of this demon, and to chaos, he saw potential. The small boy started to kick at the sand, apparently upset that he could not build a massive castle fit for a king. Chaos knelt back down, now on both knees, and smiled, placing his hands over the pile of sand. He scooted it up to make a giant wall, then glanced at the boy. Lets see if this will work shall we. Step back a little, dont wanna burn you. Choas spoke, as he allowed a small flame to emit from his palms. Placing them on the sand wall he began to burn it, creating a massive wall of glass. He lowered his face and peered through the glass looking at Azreal. See, now you got a wall of glass, if you want i can help you build a wonderful palace, big enough for you to even live in!Chaos could not control what he was feeling, it was strange but in some odd way he was having fun. He never felt this way any other time other than when he was killing and slaughter mass's. After his time with the child he would need to figure out what the hell was going on with him. |

Azreal tilted his head to the side when Chaos told him to see if this was going to work, he moved backwards a few steps and examined the demon when he was doing his things. The little boy looked at the fire and the weird wall made of glass that the new friend created. Azreal's mouth was slightly open, mostly without him evening noticing it was open at all. Wow that was cool, he did not know you could make glass from sand like that. He looked at his own hand and then to the wall. He looked to Chaos when the man talked again, he blinked a few times and examined the demon with curious eyes. Then he smiled happily. "I like that idea, let's make a small palace. Big enough to use as a secret place." he agreed and skipped from foot to foot in an excited manner. "Like much bigger then me, like this big" he stretched out his hand as far as he could and then he jumped...just to add on how high he wanted it to be. |

Chaos could not help but laugh at this small child, he was so excited over nothing. To chaos a sand castle was nothing, a useless thing lost in childhood memories, but this boy was still able to hold on to such things, being made happy by a single structure of sand. Chaos hoped this boy would hold on to his young innocence as long as he could, for chaos knew what life was like, and how it could change so sudden. Life was to pure at this age, and chaos could not help but feel a little jealous of Azreal. Well you know what, im sure we can work you up a nice little secret palace, but only if you will help of course, im not sure i can do it all by myself. If you could make me a big pile of sand over there. the red demon pointed to a area on the beach, next to the glass wall. He was going to create a extremly large base made out of glass, with a door halls and even a massive window. As he was pileing up more sand, voices in the distant could be heard. for a moment chaos thought they were just normal people, coming to the beach for a visit. But as the sounds came closer, he could pick out many details. For one it was a large crowd, like a group of loud indviduals. another striking detail was that they did not sound like normal men, they were loud roudy and very rude. As chaos turned to see where all the noise was coming from, he saw a massive crowd of bandits, cloth in pirate garb and most of them holding swords and daggers. Chaos instantly stood and placed his hand on the handle of his cutter.azreal, get behind me and behind the sand, you dont wanna play with these guys. He prepared his blade for a intense slaughter. |

Azreal nodded and quickly ran over to start make another pile of sand, he was digging with a strong energy. Yeah the little guy liked doing this, and noted by Chaos he did not seem at all worried about the fact that his new friend was a very large demon. He did not seem to be a demon himself, he did not have any demonic energy around him. Azreal just seemed like any normal kid, well as normal as a half-elf kid could be. He looked up from the sand when Chaos told him to stay behind the sand, why? Azreal looked around and noticed the group with people moving towards them. This did not look fun at all, why did the people have to come and ruin there fun?! The boy did not like that one single bit, not at all. It was mean! |

As Azreal scurried behind the massive mound of sand chaos gripped his unholy cutter and pulled it off his back. The giant blade flew over his head and smashed into the sandy ground by his feet, sending up a cloud of sand into the air. His teeth grit, his muscles tensed and hsi eyes narrowed at the on coming crowd. He was nto one for protecting any one, not to mention a frail small child that he would much rather snack on. But something about this kid attracted chaos, not in a bad evil way, but ina way that made the demon want to protect him, some kind of connection he had never felt before. Was he getting soft? But these thoughts would have to wait, for now he had a mass group of bandits to kill. To him they looked like a random bunch who was out stealing and vandilizing like the was no end. They must have been blind to casue none of them even cared to notice the size and strength of the target they ran at. With a blood thirsty war cry he took off running right at the crowd, his cutter held in both hands at his side. The first row, which was about seven men, slowed down, their faces shwoing fear now. But this did not stop chaos. He kept running and with every inch he grew closer the front way slowed down. Until... Slam! metal hit flesh as the massive blade went right through the first row, cutting all seven men prefectly in half. But as the blade swung chaos did not stop the movement. He however kept it going, useing the momentum of the swing to implae and cut through the second row of men. Blood and guts were flying everywhere, coating the demons armor in the red stain. |

A normal boy would have been very scared in a situation like this, even more when blood came into the picture. But Azreal did not react like a normal kid, he watched from behind the pile of sand as the large demon was killing the bandits. Even when a small splash of blood hit his clothes he did not react more then that he looked down on it, now his clothes was ruined...mama was not going to like that at all. She did not like when he got blood on his new clothes! "Bad...people, really bad to ruin my game and clothes. It makes me...." he paused to think of the word, he was not sure what to say. "angry, really angry!" |

Chaos was actually have fun, he enjoyed this sport almost more than anything else ever. To see the scared and shocked expressions on the faces of all those men right before they were hacked and chopped up the death, it brough great joy to him. His massive cutter was having a good ole time to, swinging around in the air, spilling blood and taking lives, it was its soul reason for being created. A sick smile was spread of the face of the demon as he continued his assualt, making sure he stayed between Azreal and the bandits. By now the largest part of the group and turned and fled, leaving a few dumb ones left to feel the finale strike of his bloody sword. with a accomplished pride chaos finished off the last kneeling man and turned back to look for Azreal. Fortunatly he had stayed where he was told and was not hurt, however a few sign sof the battle were left on his person. He cleaned off hsi blade and sheated it on his back, then moved to the small child. Im sorry you had to see that. I just could not allow them to hurt you. He wiped alot of the blood off his face, trying to not be so scarey. If you want we can finish the castle? |

Chaos found Azreal to be where he had been told to stay, the boy looked up at the demon when he came back and from the look on his face he was not afraid, nor was he more upset then that he seemed a little angry. "I got red stuff on my clothes, mama is not going to like it" he pointed out and showed the blood stains on his outfit, then he sighed and left the subject without more words. He began to dig again, almost as if nothing had happened at all. Azreal paused when Chaos made the comment about finish the castle, he nodded. "Yeah, let's keep building." he agreed. "I just hope those people will stay away, they can stay over there in the sand and make there own castle." he gestured with his hand towards the dead bodies, almost as if he did not know they where dead...or he did not care or he just...well hard to say for sure what he was thinking. |

Chaos could not get over the fact that this little boy, who had just witnessed him slaughter an entire group of men, and was even splashed with parts of the battle, showed no fear at all. He had seen a display of chaos could do, with hsi mighty weapon and killer intent, but yet the boy still wanted to stay and build a sand castle. This little child, who was no older than ten, was braver than most grown warriors chaos faced in life. He had to applaude this boy on his strong soul and will. A small chuckle escaped hsi mouth as the boy pointed to the dead bandits and told them to stay over there and make their own castle. He was going to correct Azreal and tell them that they were dead, but decided agaisnt it and let the boy alone. He knelt down and started to pile sand back up again, now with blood coating his face and armor, he looked almost disgusting to say the least. It was an odd sight from anyone watching afar. A demon dressed in blood and a small boy building a sand castle together. |

The event with the bandits had passed and Azreal did not mention anything about it at all, the little kid just continued to build a pile of sand in order to make the other walls of the glass castle. From time to time he glanced at Chaos, just to make sure that he was doing right or not. "Your all red, I think your mama will be mad to" he commented after a few minutes of silence. |
