Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Chaos watched as the woman calmed down a bit, easy and assuared now that he had placed his weapons back in their holding spot. This showed two things to the demon, both of them pleasing to him. For one she feared him, and honestly believed he could kill her at any moment, and second she was comfortable enough and believed him enough to feel at ease when he put the weapons away. For a few seconds he watched as she regained her composure, he could tell she was still trying to figure out what was going on, or what would happen next. Her name was cleo, a nice name that he had only heard once before. However he would not tell her this for the girl he had met before with the same name was one he had slaughtered and feasted on in a raid. This information would be kept secret, not trying to scare her anymore than she already was. But she was still nervous, this wasobvious and he could tell it almost instantly. Even when she spoke her voice was shaky and cracky, scared that this demon beast would not keep to his word. Her confusion in her question, not sure why he would pick her was also obvious. As he formulated a answer a clever smile spread across his face. Nice to meet you Cleo. I am Chaos. and to why i decided to add you to my team, well you are smaller, limber and much more cuter than me. Im just a massive rough bastared who is ugly as hell. So i could use you as a spy, snake your way into places and peoples lives that i may not be welcome in, then from the shadows i strike.He laughed, amused with his idea. She would be handy in fights and surprise attacks, for she looked much less frightning did he didm and who would not fall for a cute girl like her. This was the tool he needed. |

She was really surprised that he said she was cute at all. She was always led to believe that she was the ugliest thing that roamed the globe. She didn’t want to smile at anything this demon said, but the more she thought about him actually saying she was cute, the more that her smile forced its way across her face. She couldn’t help it if that made her feel better about herself, and basically her whole situation. She wouldn’t dare to show that she agreed with him that he was an ugly demon. If he tried, she was sure he could look... somewhat... better...? She was definitely not sure about what he wanted her for though. She would have to change her attitude completely to be able to do that. It was never in her nature to pretend to be friends with somebody just to trick them. She hated liars, and that was that. However, she knew she would have to go against her morals if she wanted to live. “Oh.” She said, not sure what to say. Her smile faded as soon as he mentioned her being a spy. She was certainly not spy material. It wasn’t like she couldn’t learn though. Either way, it didn’t really tell her much about what would happen right now, or within the next few minutes or hours. She just hoped a good meal was on the list of things to do. “So... what kinds of places do you mean?” she wondered, really not wanting to go anywhere where other wolves were. Those were never good places for her to go. She hoped to avoid those places at all costs from now on unless she actually learned how to defend herself. |

Chaos wasnt really a bad guy, he had feelings and cared about things, just things that others would not agree with, and would often label as evil. But he had promised this woman he would not kill her as long as she joined and obeyed him, so as long as she honored that word he would honor his. Cleo looked a little confused though, like she still did not understand what he wanted and needed her for. you dont have to worry.As long as you dont lie to me, or backstab me, then i will treat you with as much kindness as i can. And as far as what and where you will be going, well in many respectable places i am not welcome, the mere sight of me sends some running and others in a defensive stance to fight. As much as i love to fight i cant get the proper things i need if all im doing is killing. so you will go in a look around, befriend people, mayeb learn things to get closer, so that we can tear them down and make my move much more easier. He knew she did not trust him, and who was to blame her, afterall he did just almost kill her. The big red demon was not first pick on a list of people to trust. But he would try his hardest to show her that she would not regret working for him. As a sign of thanks to her he reached into his bag and pulled out a dried deer leg. Handing the severed limb to her he hoped she would take the food. He would treat her as best as he could. |

Now it made more sense to her. He wanted her to make people trust her so that it’s that much easier to gather information for him so that he can make cleaner attacks. It was definitely not something she thought she’d ever do, but she figured it was better to be protected, alive, and taken care of instead of being beaten up all the time by random wolf packs. She would definitely pay more attention so that she could see how to more effectively protect herself when he wasn’t around. “I understand.” She nodded, still watching him carefully. As soon as she saw the deer leg, she couldn’t help herself. She immediately shapeshifted into her werewolf form, and took the leg from him happily. This would be the first meal she’s had in a while. She didn’t hold back, and put the leg on the ground, tearing at it like an untamed wolf. It was like she totally disregarded the fact that Chaos was standing right there, probably watching her. She probably didn’t look like the type to eat this way, but her human teeth definitely wouldn’t be able to handle the skin and bone, despite how fragile it might already be. She enjoyed it to the fullest, though, taking a few minutes to devour it. Once she was done, all that was left was the bone. Even then, she was lying on her stomach with her front paws holding the bone in place as she chewed through to the marrow. It would seem that she wouldn’t leave the thing alone until it was all in her stomach, including the hard bone. That was how malnourished she was. If he reached down to take the bone from her, she wouldn’t hesitate to growl at him. She had her mind set that she was going to eat every last bit. The flavour of the deer meat was still on it, so she was licking parts of the bone when she wasn’t chewing it. |

She acted just like he knew she would, pounch at the sight of the meat. But he had no idea that she was this hungery, to sit there and munch on the bone even after all of the meat was eaten from it. He could not help but to smile, this was a humerous event to him, even if it wasnt to her. He would dare not try to take the bone from her, now in werewolf from, scareier looking than her human form. But he had another gift for her, if she worked together with him. Well i am headed to norwood, my attention is needed there. And its a real peacefull calm village, so consider this your first test.By now he was fumbling through his bag, looking for the other deer leg. Taking it out he waved the meat around in the air, with out a doubt grabbing the attention of the young werewolf. He would tease her with it, making her now that there was more food if she did what eh asked. This and much more will be yours if you succed at what i ask of you. And with a mighty toss he threw the meat into the air, seeing if she would catch it and devour it. |

When he started talking, she immediately raised her head and looked at him with her ears perked. It was almost as though she had the mind of a puppy right now, devouring the food and then begging for more. Before he even had another deer leg out of his bag, she could smell it. It seemed strange to her that she hadn’t smelled the meat before, as if his bag kept all smells inside of it until those things were taken out. Her eyes didn’t leave the deer leg as she stood up on all fours and switched her glance between the deer leg and her boss, Chaos. “Test?” she growled, licking her lips. “What is it that you ask of me?” she asked, but her mind seemed to be somewhere else as he waved the leg around, her eyes locked on the thing. When he tossed it, she speedily went after it, attempting to catch it in mid air, but ended up missing and it dropped to the ground. Despite her miss and slight miscalculation on her landing, she was really quick to recover and pounce onto the deer leg, making sure nobody and nothing else could take it before she got back to it. She looked around as she settled herself down to munch away again, tearing all the meat clean off of the bone. This time though, she left the bone alone once all the meat was gone. Cleo looked up at Chaos from where she was laying with the bone still between her paws. Now he had her full attention. Every word he said would be acknowledged and understood. |

Chaos had found her weak point, he now knew what was needed to completly grab the attention of his servent, who was know showing signs of loyalty. It was kind of funny to watch, Cleo acting like a small child in front of the deer meat. Like a man broken down by a woman this girl seemed lost to the power of the food, like he could tell her anytthing and for that prize she would do it. He stored this information for later, maybe it would come in handy at a later date. But today he had her where he wanted her. Her little show with the meat, pounching in the air and attacking the leg was funny to the demon. He got a small kick out of watching her, and was pleased to see she was happy and attentaive now. Taking a few steps closer he listened to her raise questions about what this test would be. At first he was eluctant to tell her why they were going to Norwood, and what exactly they were going to do there. But if they were to work to gether he was to be honest to some extent. Well, there are three men i am suppossed to meet in norwood in four days. I am to meet them to discuss plans we have made. But i feel and have gained information that these three men are plotting behind my back, and plan to betray me at this meeting. He smirked again, knowing that if he were to get into a fight he would be the winner without a doubt. But then that would blow his cover and reason for even being there.What i need from you my loyal friend is to get in there and spy, see what these men may be planning and somehow gain information that could save my life. If you succeed you will be greatly rewarded. |

She stood again, and shapeshifted back into her human form as she remembered the one thing about that forest that had kept her away for so long. Norwood was where she grew up. Norwood was where her pack lived. If she got too close to their territory, the whole plan would go to hell. They would attack her, and she would fight back this time, but that would draw unwanted attention from anything nearby, as well, and blow her cover. She was amazed at herself for thinking this way so quickly, but if she wanted to be rewarded, she had to do things the right way. “So how do I find these three men? How would I get information? I’ve never spied before.” She said, telling him she had never spied before in a whispered tone. It wasn’t that she was embarrassed about it, but more so the fact that she didn’t want anybody near here eavesdropping. “Why would they want to betray you anyway? You seem like you could take on a couple people at a time, though.” She said, kind of meaning it as a compliment. He certainly did look strong, but she figured that these men were very strong as well. A part of her was scared [removed]less, wondering what would happen if one of them caught her spying, but she was mainly concentrated on obeying his wishes because that meant she would live that much longer. |
