It had been a long journey but finally he had made it to the coast. Daelen had set off from Balefire almost a week ago, flying during the night time and walking under the cover of his cloak during the day. Fortunately the sun had slid toward the horizon, slowly immersing the world into the darkness of night. Already a few stars were breaking through the black sky to shine a little light toward the countless souls laying their heads to rest. But the pitch-black demon came to live in the darkness, this was his turf, though for one with a keen eye it was apparent that it was only his outward expression that seemed to shake off the past days of travel. The closer he came to the coast, the more he had been absorbed in thought. The more a silent anger had began to crawl up his spine and started playing a mindgame with him. His goal was his own crypt where he had spend almost twentyfive hundred years in some kind of hybernating state. The same crypt a group of humans had broken open to rip open his old demonic body and extract his heart. And now, after breaking the seal they had placed around his heart and having crafted his human host body into a perfect example of darkness it was time to return. Maybe there was still something present in his temporary coffin that could be usefull, perhaps some of the ancient books and writings were preserved and could give him a clue to extract his demonic powers from their cage. Slowly he walked to the cliff, not so much because he was afraid to return, but more reluctant to descend the cliff toward the entrance. A few loose pebbles fell a good three hundred meters down when his foot touched them lightly. His clawed toes slightly clamped to the edge while he tried to find the right spot. It was not hard to find, for the people who could reasonably see in the dark that is. A hewn tunnel could be spotted if one were truly looking for it. This was the place, but for now it was time to start a fire and eat. If there was something he had learned over the years it had been that repleneshing strength after a long travel was a neccesity. Even more so when entering a potentially dangerous crypt. Though it was highly unlikely there was someone who still remained in the crypt after all those years, it could be possible the paladins who had broken the stone doors leading to the main crypt hall had layed a spell or still frequently visited this place. Because of its dark nature it was sure to attract evil and good alike, with one party intent to kill and the other finding refuge. Either way, the descend would have to wait untill he had rested up a little. Even more so because of the presence that had been following him, although subtle, he had noticed and he was not about to give away his own crypt to just anyone. He took a step back and turned around to sit down and eat, only to be startled by the presence that had been following him. Being so focussed on searching for the crypt while maintaining his balance on the cliff had made him ease up on his attention to other important things. Edited by Bael, Wed Sep 1, 2010 7:00 pm.

Niki had been watching the shore for some time now. She had no idea what the heck that she was looking, or expecting, but something was there, and it was time to move. As she looked, Niki saw that there was a fire. Who the hell...??? thought Niki. She didn't know why someone would be up there, let alone why they would have a fire going. Niki had made camp here a few days ago, hoping to find something to do with herself. Though she had recently had the best time of her life, she still had no clue what to do with herself. Today, she had on her favorite outfit, and didn't plan on changing it any time soon. When she saw the fire, Niki thought that it was some random person, drunk off his/her butt, no knowing what they where doing. But, as she watched the figure, she noticed that it went to the edge, and looked down, as if it where getting ready to jump off or something. Niki decided to just pretend that it wasn't there for the moment, and just go about her way. Time to leave thought Niki. Her eyes where starting to go more and more orange. She had no clue how long she would be, till the hunger that had taken, both her and Chaos by surprised, would bring this time. Each time that it happened, a different emotion would play with Niki. She had little to no control over herself after the hunger took her. She didn't have much to go on with the last time, and hoped that nothing like that would happen to her again! She had no where to go, but Niki was sure that she could find some where to stay for the night, well day. She traveled only at night, knowing that it would better for her if she did. Very few things would find it odd that she was feasting during the night, as they would during the day... At least in her mind. After Niki got all her things together, she decided that she might go up and see what was going on. She had cloak and axe on, which meant that she would kill anyone or anything if she had to. Once she got on to something, it was very hard to change her mind. As she got closer, she saw that the figure was all black. Niki was very quite as she came, and didn't close enough to hurt, but close enough so that a conversation could be had, in hopes to show that she wouldn't hurt anything unless she had to. |

It took him a few seconds, just standing there and taking in the situation. The muscles in his body went rigid, not visible but just enough to move with speed if necessary. A fleeting movement with his eyes over his visitor's body and the distance between them showed him that there was no real threat. Atleast, not for now. Observing her more he noticed she was quite attractive, wearing clothing that fit her body perfectly, almost like the clothing wore her instead of her wearing the clothing. Although not his type, she had something that took his interest, something that told him to lay low for now. And next to the looks, she had the skills to sneak up on him, that was one thing was certain. The Gods of the underworld had found him worthy enough to live this night because any attacker that had a killing intent would have done so without him even seeing it coming. "I sure hope you don't have any bad intentions, cause i am not in the mood today" he grunted, his eyes glowing a soft orange, flaring up when he said he wasn't in the mood to fight tonight. He had a long journey behind him, a wild night ahead of him, memories of his past seemed to haunt him even more when being so close to his tomb and then there was this woman on top, another event which he had not anticipated. "Sit" he gave a quick nod to the fire while he walked passed her to sit down there on his own. Why had he even made the fire, he did not need it to eat or to see, maybe a slight influence of the human body that he possessed. Whatever the reason was, it had drawn attention toward him and it was his fault no matter how he flipped the coin. Even more he was surprised the woman wasn't scared by his appearance, even if he did look different than most demons, he was still a demon. Not a soul on earth would have the nerve to deny that, let alone take the chance with him being something else. But this woman, this woman hadn't even flinched when he turned around, though it would have to wait, the reason why she was here was more important at the moment. "Why did you sneak up on me like that, you have a death wish?" The question came out allot harsher and rawer then he intended, or maybe he did intent it like that. She had been lucky his mind was busy with other stuff than killing and hanging out the steriotype demon, guess the gods of the underworld had blessed them both this night. She didn't kill him and he didn't kill her, for now, that was enough for him to sit down and ask some questions. Next to the fire layed a bag filled with flesh, ripped off a deer right before he had entered the coastal region. He was not fond of the meat, atleast without a live human it'dd had to do for him, but with that, he had nothing to offer the woman, she wouln't possible eat raw flesh that still soaked in warm blood. Atleast that was what his logic told him, his heart told him the exact opposite, telling him to watch her every move untill she showed her true being. |

When the figure turned around, Niki was taken slightly off, but didn't show it. Knowing that it was better not show your true nature when approached, or approaching! Though she had her own reasons for being in this area, she wanted to know his. But before she could ask, he had said that he wasn't in the mood for a fight. She, on the other, would have liked something to do with herself. Maybe, this being can give me something to do... Seeing as I have had nothing to do many a-day! thought Niki... As for the answer to this being's question, she didn't know. It was in her nature to try and be that way, she guessed. Niki know little about being stealthy, but wouldn't tell that to anyone but the one that she knows best. She tried her best, but she thought that the effort was wasted... What really took her off, was his offer for her to sit. She didn't normally sit in such a place as this with someone to whom she had just met. So, she decided to decline his offer, for now. If time did take over, she would sit and chat with this being, but for now, she kept her distances. Who know what her emotions would do to her tonight! It was then that she thought her nose was playing tricks on her. For she smelled meat, and it was close. Niki took a glance around the little camp site then, when she was sure that the maker wasn't looking. She saw a bag, laying on the ground, as though it was been thrown to the side not long after he had gotten here. Niki sniffed at the air again, and it was then that she realized that the smell was coming from in the general area of the bag. It then that Niki noticed that the being had asked if she wished for a death sentence. "I promise, for now, that my intentions are pure curiosity." Niki said in response to his first statement. "Thank you, but I think that I well stand, for now. I haven't been on my feet for a while, and would like to get some use of them while the night is young!" as she said this, Niki looked up at the sky. During their little conversation, if that is what you would call it, the sky had be come black. Though there where some stars, most of the sky was a deep, endless black. The more you looked, the more you saw that you aren't the biggest thing here, and there may be more to this life then anyone could know of! Niki had not thought about his last question long, when she had made her mind to make a quick and, she hoped, an unnoticed subject change. "My death sentence was made up for me years ago... I wish not make another, no. Is that meat that I smell?" It could have been done better, yes, but she was low on ideas right about now. What with just waking and all that! She acted as though she couldn't smell it well, though she could smell quit well, with a fire between her and it! Had the man not been there, she would have dived for a while ago. She needed to eat. Something other then the little fish that she had left from the day before. And she know it! She didn't know much about meat, but as far as she could tell, it smelled like the meat of a deer. And she wanted some! She made her move casual, but moved just that much closer towards the meat. She had no means to take without an offer, yes, but she would try anyway that she could get some! The only thing that she had really eaten for days was fish and the rare berry! To eat something else would clear her mind of all hungers. Even the one that made it to hard to not want the meat! Niki took another step to the meat, and asked at the same time, as if to make it look like she hadn't really moved much, though one might be able to tell where she where going, if they where paying close enough attention to it. "Might I ask what your name is... and why you are here?" Though she didn't have much to go with, she would take whatever chance she could to get anything from anyone! She had been alone, and, though she had been alone for months, maybe years, she had never felt more alone then after she saw the sky around this area... |

"Good, I was hoping you'dd say that" His pupils never lost track of the womans movements, from the corner of his eye they followed her every step. Sure, she had replied with the words he wanted to hear though true intentions could always be hidden. From the tone of his voice he heared her thoughts on his offer to sit, it was obvious she was hesitant to sit for some unknown reason. It didn't matter anyway, it wasn't his problem if she stood all night, she'dd get tired of standing and sit down eventually when the muscles in her leg started to wear out. Sitting there in the darkness made him wander off into thought again.. making sure he kept the woman in his line of sight so she wouldn't have a chance to sneak up on him again, although he did not have the idea she would try again. The first line of thoughts were did not have a real use, just making up a mental map of the crypt, traps and possible enemies he could encounter. Things he knew without thought, the layout of his tomb was something he had engraved and he could move on instinct through the hallways even without the map. It was more a way to spent a little time. The second line of thoughts however were more disturbing, he relived through the whole event that took place years ago, from the moment he got woken up by the humans to the point he felt his heart get ripped out. It played its part on the outside, making his face distort from time to time as the memories haunted his mind. And just like that he returned to this world, it all got played in a matter of seconds, almost like a quick bad dream happening while he was awake. His eyes shot back to the place were the woman had stood, noticing she had moved another few paces.. "My death sentence was made up for me years ago... I wish not make another, no. Is that meat that I smell?" he heared her say. "So she discovered the food" It struck him slightly odd, the woman having noticed the meat from the other side of the campfire. Although she had drawn closer to the bag of raw flesh and making it therefore easier to spot, it still somehow seemed a bit out of place. Her movements had been to controlled, but maybe it was just his eyes playing games, he had been a bit distracted during the time she had moved so it could just be she had taken a few steps to keep moving instead of walked toward it on purpose. My name is Daelen and help yourself to some if your hungry" He purposedly talked over her second question, for now he had no intention of telling her of the location at the bottom of the cliff. There were far to valueble things down there for him to spill the location of the crypt and give her the means to enter it. "What is your name and why are you here? |

That took her off a little. Why would he hope for me to say that?! thought Niki. But she pushed the thought out of her head when he said that she could have some of the meat. She was sure that she would eat most, if not all, of the meat at once, so decided to offer some to Daelen before she ate it. "You sure that it is alright for me eat some?!" she asked. You could almost taste the trust in her voice as she asked this question... Almost, but not really. Niki moved a little closer to the meat as she said this, hoping to make it seem as though she hadn't moved much at all... The demon, if you could call him, then made a very odd face. It lasted, only but a moment, but Niki saw it. Though she had been on her own, or maybe that is why, but no matter the reason, Niki had recently been seeing things much clearer then most. She had no clue why, but it was true. She had seen things better then some of the people on her travels. But she had never thought to check with Chaos. Niki had very preoccupied at the time, and had little to think about but things put in front of her to bother thinking about things in the past... Niki brought herself back to the present before to much time had past. But it had been just that to much time to make it look like she was unsure of what to say. So, she made it look as though she had no reason at all and was thinking up one. "Ni..chole. Nichole is the name."It wasn't to often that Niki gave out her real first name. Preferring to have everyone know her as Niki. But, for some reason, she thought that it would be better to give her full name. Niki didn't know why, but she was almost a hundred percent sure that it would be better then giving her "nickname". But then, why was she here?! That was the one thing Niki had yet to figure out. But she didn't have any idea what to say. So, she just made something up! "Traveling... I travel a lot. I haven't seen much of this place, and wanted to get out into the world." That was as close to the truth as anything was. So, he couldn't catch her up on it... Or so she hopped. Niki had to much to think about at that moment to know for sure if she had heard herself right, but she thought that she heard, just littlest bit, but enough for her to notice, a slight rise in her voice on the last part. Just little, and yet, just that enough! Niki decided that, since it didn't look like she was going to get as much use out of this being as she hopped she would have at first, that she would sit, and wait. So, she sat opposite of the demon, closer to the meat, still. "So, did you forget, or did you mean to skip over my second question?" Niki asked casually. She was sure that he meant to, but wanted to check. Better be safe, then be sorry... She thought to herself... |

"Yes, I am sure" he replied, still in wonder why she would be inclined to eat raw bloody meat. And still there was the relentless feeling of something being slightly off in this figure. Still not able to place a finger on it though undeniable present everytime he looked at her. Firmly he took some of the meat from the bag and placed it next to him on a rugged piece of cloth to keep the sand from tainting it, interesting in seeing if she would prepare the meat above the fire or eat it raw. His eyes focused on her face when she clearly hesitated in giving her name. It evoked a certain number of question marks but not big enough for him to pursue the matter with all but his mind. If she stumbled over her name than it would most likely be one of two obvious options, one being it was a false name, though nothing in her voice led him to believe in that awnser. Leaving the other option of her being nervous in giving out her name for some reason, but yet again, not important enough to pursue. "Traveling... I travel a lot. I haven't seen much of this place, and wanted to get out into the world." Again a slight hint of discomfort echoed through her voice, slightly raised at the end of her sentence. This time it was obvious she had spoked a masked form of truth, trying to hide her true goals from him. For now he would leave her be, she would tell him the full truth if she would have need for it. The corners of his lip pulled up faintly at hearing her second question, the grin disappearing just as quickly as it had shown itself. "Yes, I did mean to skip your second question?" A chuckle left his mouth at hearing his own blunt response. And the reason I am here, if you are so interested in my goals, is at the bottom of this cliff" Already more then he had wanted to say, but for some reason he had nothing to fear from sharing some of his personal thoughts. |

Niki thought that she had seen a little bit of a smile on his face, but wasn't sure if she really had. It had come as fast as it had gone. But as he put the meat next her, her scenes kicked in. The idea that she should cook the meat pasted through her head, but only for a second. The hunger-thirst?-was to much now. She took the meat, and bit into it. As she did so, her eyes started to dull to that deep, purple-red that they are supposed to. After a few bits, her eyes where right back to where they are supposed to be. And this made Niki happy. Now, she could control herself better, and have no fear that she might go out of control on this man. As she finished the first part -seeing she had ripped it into two different pieces so that it would be easier to eat- the man spoke of his goals-at the bottom of the cliff? Niki thought that she had miss heard the man, but instead of asking for him to repeat himself, she said "What is it about down there that is so important for you? I have heard stories of men dying as she they tried to get down to there. Though-"-said Niki, as she looked at the demons wings-"-I don't think you'll have any problems with it." Niki got up and got some more meat, she looked at the figure for a moment. Trying to figure out how one could get so dark, without being born that way. But, then again, Niki was only new to this world, and know nothing of it. As Niki thought about what to say, she heard a noise in the night. She got her axe to her lap right away, but also so quite, that if you hadn't been watching her, or if you didn't have good hearing, you wouldn't have heard her get it at all. Her body told her to run, but something inside of her was telling her not to. As the noise came closer, a bunny poked its head out of the bushes. It hopped to the fire, to get warm, Niki thought. She picked up her axe, as carefully as she could. She swung it at the bunnies head, and the next thing you heard was a crunch of bones as the bunnies head went rolling the edge of the cliff. Niki leaped up, to get the head, and said "Would you like the head, or may have it?" If she had been with her family, she wouldn't have offered, but, her mother had taught her to offer a kill to someone, if it interrupted a conversation. Though, she didn't have many manners in eating, she had some in other places. For Niki had made a mess of the dripping blood on her pants. She didn't really care though. She had gotten things on all on her pants so many times, she had learned to live with it. Niki was on the ground, with the head in between her and the Demon, cutting the bunny. So that the bones where out, and so that there was no fat... She then set it aside, and started on the other meat... |

A moment passed before he resumed speaking, thinking about the right words to say and the limit of information he would give about his crypt. Though the sight of the woman biting into the bloody meat made him feel a tad more comfortable, it altleast made it clear she was not one that came from a good allignment, making it that much saver for him to tell about the complex that rested beneath them. "Down there is a crypt, my crypt to be precise. Down there are some valuable things I need to retrieve, my only concern is that the filthy humans and their paladins have taken over in the years I have been absent." He took caution in his words, not talking about the link to his powers and other belongings that resided within the tomb. The value of goods and weaponry that was hidden was enough to live comfortable if it were sold and a attraction to many a graverobber and the dark energies were a needle in the eye of the paladins, making it even more interesting to other parties that wished to take it for their own or destroy it completely. He saw the glance at his wings, the wonder in her eyes and heard the following words. "It's not that hard to get down if you know the way, even without the wings. Though the problem is most lack knowlege in the ancient demonic language and even if one were to pass the first step, once your down, thats where the fun begins." The corner of his lip curled up, just faintly turning his lips into a contempt smile as he thought of the many who died trying to enter. The sudden movement made by Nichole was surprising to say the least, though when he saw the axe and the head wich left a trail of blood as it rolled over the sand he had seen enough to make him ease up again. He had the nack of getting slightly nervous when people drew their weapons around him when he had the intention of just quietly sitting for a moment, it always ended in him spending energie on a fight he had no interest in. Though the fresh food was a welcome idea, a good way to replenish some strength before he'dd head down. "Your kill, your pickings", it came close to one of the philosophies he had picked up over the years, meaning everything you killed would belong to you and was yours to take. |

Though the first thought that Niki thought of was If it is his Crypt, then why is he...??? There was a hint of confusion on her face, but only for one moment. She had plenty practice at faking things. Acting, she had heard someone call it once. I mean, when the only thing that you like to eat is raw meat and have a craving for human flash most times when you want to eat, you have to learn to lie fairly well. But, in her mind, it was just covering something up that don't want someone to know. She only let the silence that followed last only as long as the conversation would have allowed. "If that is your crypt, then how is it that I am talking to you right now?" was all that she was able to think of. She had no clue how things worked here, and still had a lot to learn, though she had learned a lot. "Thank you." said Niki to his answer. She handed him the head after she took care of it. After all, when you have spent years on your own and you have only eaten fresh meat, you should know how to take care of it right. She took the rest of the body, and, though she know that she wouldn't eat the rest of it right now, took care of it, as well. She took a bag that she had only had for a short time, and put it in there. She then looked at Daelen. She had no idea about what to say, so grabbed the rest of her second piece from his bag, and started eating, waiting for him to say something. Niki had never been one for small talk, and hadn't mastered that art from her mother before she left and started to find out about her life that had been hidden from her. But, what she had learned, would only have lasted for a short time. Long before now, she would had lost her nerve and dropped it. She only things that she know where things about how the other person felt, and how their day was and things like that. Niki liked things that went a bit deeper then that. She liked to get to know the one that she was talking to. But, the one question that rested heavily on her mind was "How is this man...??? The wondering could be seen in her eyes, if you know what to look for. She also didn't look him in the eye, so that helped to hide her wanting. If he wanted to talk about it, he would tell her. There is no reason to push something that might make to uncomfortable. Though it might be interesting to see what he did when he was... But, Niki held her tough. She would be able to let it go as soon as she was away from him. But, for now, it would be better to not let it go. Niki had just finished her food, when she relished that she was full. She got up and walked to the edge. She thought that she had heard movement behind her, but she wasn't sure. Her axe was in her hand, as if she going to throw it into the water. She had all of her energy back, and was ready to go out there and explore. But there where things that she had to do first. Most of them involved getting warm, but she had her back to the fire that was here. She didn't want to be in anyone company any more. But, in the middle of a conversation, it is hard to leave without being rude. Niki had no way to get out until he was ready for her to go. There was a lit breeze, and Niki stood a little taller and let her nose breath in the smell of the sea, and of the wind. She loved the wind. It was one of those things that she missed from her home. She wished that she could home and feel the wind on her skin, the way it ripped at her hair, the way she felt like everyone else in the world when came. But, when it left, she knew that she was the same old Nichole Iceblood. Same odd skin color, same tall frame and different eyes. She no wish to think of that, she thought of something different. Niki started to think about the wonders that a-waited Daelen below, in his Crypt. Niki had never been in one, but had no clue on how to in it. Nor, did she think that it would be good to with him right there. As he said, one would need to know another language, which she didn't know. She let that rest, to. She just let her mind wonder, as she stood there, waiting for him to speak... |

Daelen noticed a slight quiver in her voice when she asked him about the fact he sat here so normal when he were supposed to be dead. It was kind of weird if you thought about it, luckily he tried to banish those thoughts and only thanked for the black magic that had made it possible for his heart to survive the bodyswitch. The confirmation that Nichole was a demon was enough for him to tell her about his world. He had not met many people since his return and any new friend with demonic blood was a welcome one. "Yes it is rather strange is it not" a chuckle joined the words as he spoke them, amused by the wonder she had displayed, if only for a quick second. "It was about 1500 years ago when I went to my crypt and went into hybernation. Since the beginning of my time, me and the others used those crypts as homes and a place of refuge. During my slumber a group of humans broke into the crypt, a powerfull sorcerer accompanied by paladins and cut out my heart. It was placed in a wooden box and by magic it was able to survive before it got placed into the body of a young human as an experiment. I have fought the seal for about ten years and broke free a week ago and changed his body to my own. That is about the story in big lines i guess" A mixture of feelings had surfaced during there conversation, joy over his second chance and a deep hate toward the human race, even a bit of disapointment for allowing himself to fall victim to the low humans and their actions. He took a little bite out of the rabbits head, it was the best part of the rabbit so he descided to eat it slowly and enjoy it instead of falling into a eating frenzy. Nichole had stood up and walked to the edge of the cliff, maybe to check if she could spot a glimps of his crypt or just to enjoy the seabreeze. Daelen stood up to join her at the edge, not entirely sure if he would ask her to join him down to the crypt. He would like the company and there were some chambers still filled with gold and jewelry she might like, atleast, he hoped it would still be there. With a few steps he joined her at the edge, standing next to her and just enjoying the breeze and the quiet, awaiting her reaction to his story and desciding he would ask her to acompany him to the crypt when she finished. Niki stood there for a few minutes, waiting for the shock of what had just been told to her to sink in, but it didn't. After a few minutes, she sighed. It was then that Niki noticed that Daelen was standing next to her. He looked like he was thinking about something. Then as she looked at him from the side, so that she was sure he couldn't tell, she saw his eyes change from thinking, to knowing. Niki waited just as long as polite, then said "So, your heart was removed from your body and put into a humans body, and then you took control of the human? Huh, I never thought that something like that could ever happen. So, how old are you?" At the thought of his ago, Niki laughed a little. He must one of the oldest people-demons- that I have ever meet, if the oldest... Niki thought to herself. She moved a little from the edge, as if to run, then jump off it. Then sat down, and moved so that her feet where hanging off the edge, She swung them a little, like a kid playing on the swings in a playground. Her days of fun and playgrounds were over. The days of worry-free play, of fun and joy in life, are gone. And they would never come back. That, she know for sure. She had spent half her life running from her past, acting as if she know what was going on. But, she didn't. And the only one that know that was Chaos. Niki thought about all this, staring out at the water. By this point, it was fully night, and the water wasn't so visible. But Niki thought that she saw the waves. She heard them, in any case. In the distance, Niki thought that she heard the sound of man yelling something, but she was sure that it was in her head, so she ignored it. Niki turned to look up at Daelen. She wanted to say something, but didn't know what. She had odd want to comfort him, to tell him that he would find it, and that everything would be right where it had been. But Niki know that no such promise could be made. She know how man who would do anything for something would act. She had lived with one for a good time. Steal, Lie, "forget"... Anything.... |

"I have been around since darkness gave birth to the demonic race.. And I did not only take control, I changed his human body to resemble my old body, there is not a single trace of human left" His dark hairs were gently moved by a starting seabreeze as he stood, watching over the sea toward the horizon. An almost majestic aura seemed to embrace him, a pride deeper than superficial beliefs or morals, a pride that rooted deeply in the demonic race. Visions and flashes appeared before his eyes, pictures of the first demons and all their victories over the years, the many ages they had ruled over the plains from wich they came and the loses they had endured and friends who had perished at the light of good. "I have an offer to make.." A brief moment of silence interupted him as he seemed to search the words he wanted to speak. "I'dd like you to come with me into the crypt, I can use the company down there. If you find something of value down there you may keep it, my personal items excluded ofcourse." A soft chuckle left his throat after his last words as he realized it would be obvious she wouldn't be able to keep personal items apart from the gold and jewelery he had stored there over the years, there was bound to be some left, that he had no doubts about. "So, what do you say? Care for a little adventure?" He tilted his head to look at her and await her answer, only to find her staring out into the ocean. Clearly she was thinking about his offer and if she would accept it, he understood her hesitation, it wasn't your everyday trip into the woods to gather food, this could get dangerous, though her personal gain would be great if she were to come. And not just her but he felt more at ease with someone to talk to, not that he couldn't fair without but he still had this held back feeling when he thought about entering. The idea had crossed her mind to ask, yes, but Niki didn't really think that he would ask her. It took Niki a bit to find her voice. Of course she wanted to go with him to his Crypt, but she was so shocked the he had asked! Niki looked up at Daelen. You could clearly see the "yes" in her eyes, even in the dark. Nobody could mistake it for anything else. Niki stood up, suddenly having a lot of energy, and said- "When do we go down?" Before his answer, Niki had picked up her-as if to put it back on her back- and pulled out a cloth. Within five minutes, Niki was sitting, cross legged on the ground, whipping the blood from the bunny off. The way she looked at her axe, you would have thought that it was a baby. Which, in Niki's eyes, it was her baby. Nothing meant more to Niki then her axe. After a few minutes of Niki washing her axe, she stood up, walked up next to Daelen, and whispered into his ear-"When do we leave?" in a voice that would have made the toughest man get goose bumps on his arms. Niki stood back. She watched what Daelen would do. He could hurt me if I do the wrong thing! thought Niki. She immediately wished that she hadn't done that. Part of her wanted to go up to him and say that she didn't mean to offend him or anything, but she held her tough. If what she said had pinched a nerve, she didn't want to be to close. So, Niki walked over to where her meant was, gathered it up, and waited to see what he would do. Whether he say that she should, he leave right there and then, he try to kill her-and if he tried to, Niki had her axe ready- or if he just did what he had planed to do. She had no clue, but she left him be. Moving far enough that if he took of, she would be out of the range of his hitting her. She thought that she might be, Niki had no clue... |
