| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

He was out of breath, his side hurt and he was beginning to get tired. Chaos was hot and sweaty, out of breath from running and on the edge of pissed off. People could just loved to tick him off, eben when they knew he could set the whole damn town on fire if needed. But this little twerp decided it would be fun to do a little bussiness wiht the big red demon then run off with his money. Earlier that day chaos had come to the docks to meet a small band of pirates, a group called the sea fingers. They were skilled in thievery and mercenary killings. But chaos was here for a little bussniess. A very valuable stone was stolen from him by an unknown person, and chaos had information that led him here to the docks. So since he had prior relations with the sea hands he decided to use them for the job. But wiht many of them getting killed a whoel group of new recurits were hired. Chaos gave the job detail and paid the first half of the payment, but many of the children who had joined recently did not know chaos to well, and thought it a smart idea to pickpocket him in the process. Of course this did not fly with the demon. So here he was, running down the twisting docks in the intense heat. About four or five little runts had taken off down the docks with two bags of gold, a map and a very old compass. He was tired and pissed, the idea of setting blaze to the dock was crossing his mind at the moment. If he found those filthy rats he would chop their fingers off for stealing, then skin them and eat them. They better pray to the gods Chaos was no tlucky today. |

Shalia walked through the docks area. This was all new to her. Sure she had seen docks and boats before..but not on this plain. And the sorts of ships that set sail in the hells were very different. A part of her was thankful she was not that demonic looking, kept the random idiots from chasing her shouting “Demon!” But one did not have to be of demonic blood to be chased around these parts it seemed. Some boys went running by her laughing about the catch they had just made. By the looks of the items they held fast in their hands she figured they had just pickpocketed someone. She shook her head as the boy disappeared down an alley. But the lads were not the only part of this chase it seemed. She heard someone else coming this way, as she looked behind her to see who..or what it was. The red demon almost ran her over. Had it not been for her quickly jumping out the way he likely would have plowed right into her. “Watch where you’re going you big oaf!” she yelled. She placed a hand on her sword and her black hair had changed into color. It was now a scarlet red, a much deeper color than what was natural for a human being. She glared at the man, waiting to see if her turned on her after her insult, or would keep chasing down the brats. |

He was not paying any attention to anyone in his way, no matter how big or small, strong or weak he was just running right through them all. If they dodged then they would survive their first meeting with Chaos, which was rare, but if they stood still a bumpy rough death would soon befall them if they pissed the demon off enough. His feet pounded the wooden planked walk way, his metal boots rattling back and forth. The giant cutter and Shield on his back made his body even heavier, but he was used to the weight. He was like a sharp metal tank running through crowds. As he watched the boys turn a corner a female, smaller than him, dodged out of the way barely missing a painful meet and greet. Chaos paid no mind until the shrill voice echoed in his ears. With a sudden halt chaos stopped and turned around. Sure he wanted his stuff back and was eager to skin the small boys. But no one insulted chaos, never. He turned completely and walked closer to the female, her features now playing in his mind. She had a weapon ready, which meant she had skill in the art of the blade. Btu he was not one to worry or even get afraid. What did you say to me woman!? I could cut your limbs off and leave you to rot in the sun. But then the buzzards would eat you before I got a chance. A evil crackle escaped his foul blood caked mouth as he stepped closer, a hand now placed on his holy dagger. So are you going to get on your knees and beg for forgiveness, or suffer everlasting pain from my holy blade here. As he spoke those words he unsheathed False hope, his dagger filled with holy power. Its cuts would do more damage to those of the evil line, and by the look of her she was no good faring woman. But he was running out of time, the boys could be anywhere by now. But his own flaws and personality was keeping him. He wanted to toy with this woman, have a bit of fun. In fact she was a very attractive woman, but so were most as he ate their hearts and devoured their young. Plus what would Niki think of him if she found out he was messing with other woman. But he wanted to see this woman in action, even if it was the last fight she ever had in her life. |

She looked at the demon man. True he was larger and stronger than she was, but so were most. Sizes and raw strength were not all that was required to win a fight. Speed and wit played a vital factor too. Both of which she had plenty of. It was because of her wisdom in battle was why her master had not made her a mindless slave…and why he had lost his life to her blade. “Are you hard of hearing?” she asked in a mocking voice. “I called you a big oaf. I have met orcs who are more subtle than you.” She let out a mocking laugh when he told her to beg for forgiveness. She had never begged for anything, and she was not about to start now. When she saw the dagger she merely shook her head. A demon…using a holy dagger? Was this guy for real? “One, I never beg for anything,” she said. “I have spent over 300 years in hell…you really think just because you have demonic blood that you scare me? I have killed enemies more powerful than you simply because they underestimate me because I have less power than they. Two, what kind of self-respecting demon uses a holy dagger?” She took a single step back, and dropped into a fighting stance. If this demon had any experience with those from the hells he might recognize the stance as one trained as a doomguard. True she had never been an official doomguard due to her status as a slave…but she still had the fighting skills of one. She was unlike most of her kind, she did not find joy in a battle. She would not run from any fight, but she would not draw her blade just yet. If the demon attacked she would have blade at the ready in an instant and show him exactly why it was foolish to underestimate her. “It is your choice. Continue on chasing those brats…though I suspect by now they have found a nice hiding spot. Attack me and see just what I can do while attracting every guard in the area. Or put your weapon away and we can have a more peaceful outcome,” she said to him. |
