Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The only source of light since the sun had disappeared was from the moon that shined brightly in the night sky. A smart move would have been to make camp for the night during his journey, but he was confident in reaching the Village of Kellen before midnight. His prediction ran true, arriving just past twenty-two hours, two hours before the strike of midnight. The smoke rose from the chimneys of various buildings throughout the village, dissipating into the night air. Clouds began to gather together, a soft breeze beginning to become stronger as the minutes passed. The lights beckoned the young Aasimar forward, taunting him with the idea of warm lodging for the night. Some inhabitants shot suspicious looks, causing the shy male to avoid eye contact with them. Rather, he made eye contact with the dirt flooring beneath him.

Silvius had pondered the idea of staying at the local inn, however he was missing a very valuable aspect: money. He had no funds, not even anything sufficient for a single night's stay. The young thief could attempt to swipe something. A soft, yet frustrated sigh escaped the young mans chapped lips, his tired mind trying to figure out possible ways to get the money he desperately needed. A sly smirk graced across his face, eyes glancing down to the left of his body, revealing his familiar. The fox jumped up, onto the males shoulder and rubbed it's side against his neck, much like a domesticated cat would to the owner it admired.

"Hey there, buddy." He whispered, voice soft with a slight accent. An accent picked up from the inhabitants of Norwood Village, the place he was raised as a young child. In the midst of contemplating his next act, rain started to fall from the clouds hovering above them. Silvius looked around for some kind of refuge, making his way quickly below a roof along a small, cheap kiosk. Just then he heard a loud ruckus coming near a building, a bunch of drunken men hollering at each other. An argument of some sorts, something involving a woman.

Silvius was only acting as an audience member, and the only one in the darkened area of Kellen. He only watched as two men began to push and kick one drunken man to the ground, only to twist their heads the other direction as another villager called out to them. The two offenders began to run, only to be chased down.

Silvius saw this as opportunity. He looked at his familiar, then to the beaten and unconscious man. "Hurry." He whispered, as the young fox ran gracefully to the victim, taking his small bag full of coins between his teeth, after rummaging and searching through his belongings. The small animal then made his way back to Silvius, dropping the bag into his hand. The male smiled, rewarding the young fox with a pet, dirt-ridden hand sliding across it's back.
