The Ruins of Taras
One of the largest nations of Imythess, Taras is the kingdom that takes up most of the Western coast of Imythess.

What was once a great city now lays in ruins as a recent attack, made by demons, burned the city down to the ground. What was once home to a Goddess and the biggest arena in Imythess, is now gone. The only building left standing is the Library, which had been saved from the fires of destruction. Most of those who lived fled, either to a Refugee camp placed a little ways from the city, or to other cities where they were wanted.

Those who now occupy the city are thieves and scavengers, looking to pick through debris and bodies to find something of use.

This is no longer Imythess's sparkling capital, no longer a place for those who would seek a name for themselves in the tournaments.

This is the Ruins of Taras.

Istan Desert
On the south side of the Dragonspine mountains is Istan desert. It is a long stretch of land, sand as far as you can see. There are a few oasises in hidden gulleys and a long ribbon of a blue river slides across it lazily.

Cascadia, the Waterfall City
Also known as the Flying City or Waterfall City, Cascadia was created around the lake into which the Vistath waterfall flowed. It is a city of all things cultural; Art, music, craft and anything that inspires is created and/or traded here. Thousands of the best artisans got their start here and everyone who is in the art community has been here at least once. The city once sat on the land like any other city, but recently, because of the demon who had manipulated the king of old, the city was forced to use magic to raise out of the ground and fly up in to the sky where it remains. Because it was pulled out of the ground more waterfalls were exposed, their great flows of water raining down from the city. Cascadia normally is found floating up in the sky with the clouds, above it's former location on the ground.

There are several ways of reaching the city, the most common being the public transportation provided by the city itself, sending griffins, Pegasai and any other winged creatures down to bring people up. Magic transportation is also used, with designated locations on the ground and times when people can be transported up for a small fee. Anyone with a winged mount or is winged can make it to the city with out relying on the public transports.

Includes:
The Monument, The Black River and The Broken Strings.

The City of Lanterns
Balefire, also known as the City of Lanterns, has just appeared once more at the edge of Hauntwood Marshes. It has returned from the Shadow Plane, but brought some of the darkness of the Shadow Plane with them.
Balefire is forever to be veiled in darkness, even on the sunniest of days. It is a black spot on the horizen.
The city is known for it's dark reputation and dark magic. Any dark-loving creature can find a home here, where they can be true to their nature.
It is a large city, almost as large as Taras and almost as prosperous, once trading with the indigenous people of the Shadow Plane and once again renewing their trade with the drow and other Underdark creatures due to the multiple tunnels to the Underdark nearby where the city sits.
Balefire is laid out in a haphazard pattern with flowing cornices, ornate pillars, and monstrous statues depicting indigenous creatures of the Shadow Plane.
To hold the almost suffocating darkness back, lanterns are a common thing to see in Balefire. They range from ornate to simple and are hung above every door and inside every house is at least two lanterns, which gives the city a soft glow.

The Purple Lantern Tavern and Gloomwood

The Dark Lands
Deep underground, lays the Dark Lands. No light shines in down here, no breeze is felt. And the creatures that live within the darkness are dangerous and most of the time evil. The tunnels are twisted from the lava that use to flow down there from the Volcano, Therab, but it no longer erupts, so lava no longer flows, except for the very bottom caverns, where lakes of lava can be found. There are large caverns found throughout the many tunnels, large enough to fit what lives in the darkness. There are cities built by the Dark Elves in the larger caverns, the cities built in to the sides of the rock, with large walls built around them. The Dinosaurs ruled this place long before the elves or dwarves and still live there this day, waiting for some pray to come by.

Includes:

The Tunnels, Menzoberranzan, Lith My'athar, Velamas Lake, Obsidian Caverns and Therabess Lake.

The Ruins of an Ancient City
The ruins loom above you, mysterious and dark. What once lived there, one could only guess. It must have been a great civilization, now overtaken by the earth. The stone is white with age and what was once a great tower at the heart of the city stands, a broken edifice. There are no bones or remains of the previous occupants, all taken by animals or simply disappeared. Some claim the ruins are haunted...

Includes:
Cemetary and Cathedral.

Norwood Forest
Enormous trees loom above you, sunlight filtering in through the green canopy above, casting gold and green shadows.

It is both wild and beautiful. Despite the great beauty though, there are always dangers as anywhere in Imythess. Along with friendly dryads and nymphs there are also hungry wolves and hungrier bandits, though they do not hunt for food, but rich passerby. The druids and rangers are at constant war with the bandits.

Includes:
Norwood Village, Norwood Lake, Bandits Camp, Hauntwood Marsh, and Spiderhaunt Woods.

Advanced Boards:
The Deep Woods, Calmonah Forest.

The Village of Kellen
It is a small town on the borders of Debon Plains. The people are friendly and the inn cheery.
You can come to socialize or find supplies for your next adventure.
From a distance, you can see the many small and simple buildings with smoke rising gracefully from the chimneys. It is an altogether welcoming sight.
The people of Kellen have great respect to the horse, as their main means of transportation and combat. Even though the village is altogether peace loving, they are formidable when mounted on one of their great steeds, said to be descended from the horses that wander the Astendan isles.
Horse motifs are prominent amongst their architecture, celtic style horses often found over peoples doorways and the Great Stables is built with horse shaped support arches, holding up the roof.

Includes:
The Green Gryphon Tavern and Inn, Debon Plains, and the Great Stables

Memphian Falls
Centered by large water fall which pours into Richmon Lake. The water here is crystal clear and the sun always seems to shine causing beautiful rainbows at almost all times of the day. It is a series of many falls which connect and intertwine giving them a tall majestic feel. Behind the falls, many beautiful crystals grow, throwing the light in every which direction. Many caves can also be found behind the falls, it is legend that a great crystal is found laying within, though many come out empty handed.

Includes:
Crystal Caves, Richimion Lake, and Underwater Caverns.

The Mountainous North
The farther north you go, the steeper and more difficult travel is. The first mountain range is known as the Gwilikith Mountains. Beneath the mountains is the Deep Cities, the only known dwarven city in Imythess.
Even farther north is the great Dragonspine. These mountains are almost impossible to get over without magical aid, being nearly vertical cliff faces. These mountains are known for the large amount of dragons and the draconic landmarks such as the draconic graveyard and Dragonmount.

Includes:
Gwilikith Mountains, Therab the Volcano, and the Deep City.

Advanced Areas:
Dragonspine Mountains, Dragonmount, and the Draconic Graveyard.

Frozen North
This northern region of the land had been ice locked for years behind the Dragonspine Mountains. Recently a huge glacier has moved far enough through the mountains to create a pass. With this new trade route open it is now possible to visit this rugged and freezing place where only the strong survive. The winters last for months and months, and summer is not more than an early spring that lasts only a moon before giving way to the cold once again.
Includes: Striberg, Ice Planes, Evergreen Forests.
