Welcome back, there has been a LOT of work done and Imythess is again ready for role-playing. Though not entirely finished, she's sea-worthy once again.

In order to faciliate your shopping needs, I've spent a great deal of time creating a table of all the shops and inserted it into each shop forum, including the Sales Counter. It should be complete, so let me know if I've made any typos or if a link doesn't work / goes to the wrong topic. Hopefully this will make things much easier on everyone when it comes to browsing for goodies. ;) Also, many of the links to the shops will give you additional text if you put your mouse over it to let you know what the shop has inside. The most obvious shop names don't usually have extra text.

Next, you will need to check the new Purchases Needing Attention forum for just that... purchases that may need your attention. All purchases that were looked at that need you to reply before they can be completed will be found there. There are also some there that are very large and will require special admin attention, but shouldn't get buried in other orders, so they are there instead. PLEASE CHECK THIS! :D

Additionally, I have fixed the board width to make it normal again. I also cleaned up some stuff in the skin to make everything work better.

On top of that, you'll find new links on the board index at the bottom of every category that links you back to the top of the page. I found that all that scrolling was pretty annoying, so I kindly asked my boyfriend to write up something for me. :D And tada, there it is! Plus, if you check the portal, that tiny link in the top left corner that no one ever looks at but should, I added more links there in the navigation and changed other things.

More cleaning up of the shops has been done, and I have removed the online / offline code that showed in your posts if you were online. This code made it so that no matter what if you looked at the online list it seemed that everyone was viewing the index and nothing else. It was annoying, so it's gone. :D

Since Laura has been on vacation, I went ahead and removed the jobs system as she desired. Again, despite it's popularity, it was too much maintenance for our handful of active admins to handle. If you still have a job listed in your member title, PM me and I will remove it for you.

Great job Lomen. I'm glad you went out of your way to take care of things. I'm sure Laoura will be glad to still you got things up and running as well.

I love what you did with the shops.

When Laoura gets back maybe we can bring back Magister and Weapons masters to add an extra bit of organization to the academies. They wouldn't have to get paid.

About the profile stuff:
There are some files needed for this code that aren't working right now. The person that created the code had the files one their website, but it appears to be down. I don't know if it's for good or temporary, but I'll let everyone know once something is known to me.

About the bulk e-mail to all members:
It doesn't work, d'oh! I'll try and send it again after making a fuss about getting it fixed :D I happen to work for InvisionFree, the company that hosts this board so we get special attention... :D

The shops now have an addition to the system. There is now a legend that shows an "order status" key. From now on filled purchases will be marked as filled in the topic title. Cancelled orders will be marked as such. And orders that need your attention for some reason will be labelled [ATTN] so that you know you need to take a look at them.

To view the legend simply visit the Sales Counter.

Admins: To mark the orders as filled, cancelled, or needing attention, please use the "Multi-Moderation" drop down underneath the normal forum moderation drop-down.

Well, the other members of the staff are really great, I like them a lot. And it's cool getting to see how everything works, getting to look at the future plans and features for the coming upgrade, helping make the big decisions and stuff. But also it is a lot of work, answering support questions and moderating that huge forum, etc. But yeah, I would say I like it a lot. :)

I have re-introduced Istan Desert to the RP forums. It was temporarily retired but has been brought back for your RPing pleasure.

Second, I have changed the Private OOC boards so that they are no longer visible to members. They are now only visible to those who can access them. Not that it makes much difference to those who can't, hehe. :lol:

Three god/desses have been reinstated to their positions as deities: Ranewen as Goddess of Darkness, Oppel as God of Nature, and myself as Goddess of Magic.

There is a new method of chatting that should make talking to your Imythess friends while RPing much easier! At the top of the page on the left side you will see a link next to the portal that says "CBox." Clicking it will open up a tiny new window and inside you will find the chat box! If you have a pop-up blocker it may or may not block the window from opening, but most blockers are easy to disable. If you disable it, only disable it for Imythess. I promise there will never be harmful pop-ups from our board. Also, the CBox is only visible if you are logged in, so no harmful spammers will be able to mess with it. :) There is also a re-direct forum in the Out of Character boards that will take you to it.

Projects n the works: Several new positions to be applied for are under contruction. PrC Training Master positions will be revived soon, and the introduction for 2 new PrCs will hopefully come about soon. But more information on all of this to come out later, as it develops.

Hopefully, and I'm pretty sure she will, she'll think it's better and more manage-able. :) Well, it didn't do anything to harm Imythess and, in fact, made it better, so I'm sure she'll be quite happy. :)

I've been here for over a year now and Imy has had a damn good record of being there, I nearly keeled over when I heard it'd be a month till Imy was back up. This totally screwed up my month man, Imy is my rock, dependable even when I'm not.

Why couldn't the backup Imy have been turned on? I have the link, and I thought that's what it was for, saving us Imy addicts.

(I'm not posting much, but I'm on lurking all the damn time.)

PS: You guys made Ace get off Yahoo for the duration of Imy's downtime. lol. killed my social life this did, poor me lol

Yes, everyone is happy Imythess is back up. Quick question, when will there be applications for the Air Diety?

There are a few open deity positions open, but for a little while still these positions will remain unfilled. We would like to see more activity before we open them. :)

Do we have the members for such a descision?

When is Ace getting crowned Admin? He's got no life and is always on... etc. You've heard this before.

That's part of our concern: we don't want all our active members being gods or the like and then not have normal players.

And admins are chosen as we deem fit.

As long as the whole admin staff doesn't disappear again I'm cool, I guess. I'm kinda disappointed about that whole deal.

I got grounded, so I had no choice. :( But I'm back now! :)

Everyone had reasons, so there's no blame, but it can be avoided in the future. That's what I'm trying to get done here.
