Ciara had heard a many great things of the Elfsong Tavern and Inn. She had decided that she would get a warm meal for once and perhaps try to stay in one of the rooms if she had enough gold to spare. Still not finding a WorldTree left this poor Dryad unsettled. There was no way for her to return to her Home Tree unless she were to make the long trek back up the mountain. Sighing heavily, she ordered the special and a glass of wine. Taking a seat in a low lit corner she pulled down the hood of her cloak, pulling it off her shoulders, but not removing it completely. Instead, she drapped it into her lap before pulling up on her long leather gloves to assure they were tight. Too many people in Imythess absentmindly touched her hand or arm and she did not want to cause a scene here. No, this is a time for relaxation, I cannot have an accident now. Sitting back, she listened to the bard and watched the people dancing. Cheerily they danced and clapped and twirled around the floor and the onlookers cheered in response. So lively this tavern is, perhaps I should come here more often? It is quite entertaining. Her meal was served to her at her table and she paid with what little gold she had. Sipping on the wine she found it most delicous and the food was not bad either. Ciara was seated to where she could see the entire tavern, which was how she like things. Setting down her dinnerware, she picked up her glass once more and took a long sip, searching through the crowd as if looking for someone in familiar, her eyes glowing a soft violet in the dim lit corner.

Briameth entered the tavern, with a slight diffacullty because she was so tall for the doorway. She looked around and saw the bard and people dancing, drinking and having fun.
She looked for a place to sit and didn't see any really big enough for her. She sighed and sat down near the bar on the floor. The bartender came up to her "Is there something you would like?" He asked. She looked at him "What do you have?" She asked. "What every tavern or inn would carry" he replyed. "Hmmm... I would like a mug of beer" she told him satasfied with her chose. The bartender went off to get her drink.
She looked over at the bard again and started to listen to the music; it was very cheerful and happy. She sighed again, I wish I were a human some times she thought as she watched them all dance and have fun The I could have fun too.
The bartender came with her drink and gave it to her. She grabbed it and looked around the corners. She saw woman there who looked just a intreasted in all the people as she did. She kept watching her hoping to get her attetion so she could talk with some one.

Ciara had begun to wiggle in her seat, the dancers on the floor and the bard on the stage made her want to get up and dance. She crossed her leg, bouncing the one on top, swaying her head to the beat of the bards. Sipping on her wine, she raised her glass to the waitress as to order another, searching in her pack for more gold. She had finished her meal, now relaxing with her wine and watching the crowd. She was hoping that someone would show, though she didn't know who exactly, it was just a connection that she felt that she needed to make. That has happened alot lately, it is quite strange really. Like I am supposed to be here and I am supposed to do all of these things. Snickering as a couple dancing happily passed her table rather quickly she wondered what it would be like to dance. I am sure there is a place I can go or I can get a book from the library her eyes glowed brighter at the thought. The waitress returned with her drink but her eye was caught on the large bird-like being who passed most uncomfortably through the door, sit down on the floor next to the bar and watch the occupants of the tavern. They look so sad she frowned and decided to make small talk with the stranger. Picking up her glass, pulling up her cloak so it covered her shoulders and smiled as she weaved through the dancers. She laughed out loud, panicing, as one of the men grabbed her free hand, twirling her around. Wiggling free, feeling nervous that she might hurt him, she thanked him then made her way to the bar.
Briameth - December 11, 2003 06:22 PM (GMT)
Briameth saw the woman start heading her way. If a bird could smile then that is what she would be doing. She saw a man grabbed the woman and trwilled her then the woman came over.
"Braimeth bowed her head "Hello, thank you for coming over" She said. She guestured to a seat at the bar near her "Please sit down" She said in a kind voice.
(It's short I know but I can't seem to be able to post long today...)

Why thank you. Ciara took a sat on a barstool rocking back a moment then setting her elbows back against the bar so that she would view the room and looked down the the creature next to her. I haven't seen anyone like you before, you wouldn't mind me asking what you are would you? She was embarassed to ask such a strange question, but Ciara was still new to Imythess and had many things to learn. Oh, how rude of me, my name is Ciara Aoife, it is a pleasure to meet you. She smiled warmly at to the one seated on the floor.
Briameth - February 8, 2004 12:31 AM (GMT)
Briameth would have smiled if she had a mouth and not a beak. "I am a Griffin, well I am a different race of Griffin compared to the others that live in the mountains." she told her. "My name is Briameth" she said "And I am honored to meet you Ciara Aoife."
She took a drink from her mug, which was a little diffacult because of her beak but she managed.
"Ummmm... I know this is a weird question but what is it like to dance?" she asked, knowing proboly this human had danced before.
(I can't seem to post long tonight...)

((Please do not fret! I am just glad you are back!))
Her eyes went wide with delight and excitement as Briameth spoke. "A Griffin, really? I have not seen many of those, perhaps I have but only from a distance." She giggled sweetly as her eyes went to the floor. Sighing heavily, she tried to think of a way to put the words. "To dance, how is it to dance?" Her words were a whisper as she repeated the question to herself, not particularly meant to be heard by anyone else. "I have only danced a few times, as I am not comfortable around people yet. I come from the moments, an empty and secluded village where no one went there for years. But to dance, it is magical, as if you are floating around on the floor." Her eyes wandered to the floor and she remember dancing with Kuya, how he had taught her to dance. She missed those times when they would dance together. Since he had left, she didn't really know what to do or if she could dance. It was hard to warm up to others...
Briameth - February 8, 2004 08:12 PM (GMT)
Briameth saw that she looked kind of sad. "Whats wrong? Why do you look so sad?" she asked her. She wasn't sure if she was really sad or just thinking but it didn't hurt to ask.
"I have never really danced, not on foot anyway" she told her, thinking about flying. "I have only flown, and I guess you could call it like dancing with the clouds" she said taking another drink from her mug. She looked over at the people dancing and sighed.
Airie - February 9, 2004 02:21 AM (GMT)
Pushing the thoughts from her mind, she didn't want to worry Briameth. "Nothing to worry about. Nothing at all." She giggled then as she thought of Briameth's description of flying. "Yes, you could say that it is like dancing. Very much so. Even though you have great size, I am sure you could dance a bit. Just have fun with it." She smiled to Briameth, trying her best to talk her into trying to dance.
Briameth - February 9, 2004 05:37 PM (GMT)
Briameth knew she wanted her to try and dance but she wasn't sure about it... "I would take up the whole dance floor if I tried" she told her jokenly. "Sometimes I'm that out going but I'm not sure... I would do it around my own kin but around all these humans, that's something else." she said looking around the tavern.
She had finished her drink and knew some how Ciara was going to get her to dance.
Airie - February 10, 2004 12:32 AM (GMT)
Ciara had laughed with Briameth, she found her sense of humor warming. "Well, if you say so." She said it with a smile, turning away from Briameth to look to the dance floor as she sighed heavily. "But you know, they sure do look like they are having fun out there, I would hate to think that you were missing out on something like that." The smile widened as she tried to persuade Briameth out onto the dance floor.
