Title: A Wolf? In a Tavern?
Description: Open ^.^

Nacht - July 27, 2005 09:41 AM (GMT)
Her ears constantly flicking about, Nacht ducked into the shadows of a sterotypically dark, empty alleyway. So many sounds, too many people, Nacht was ...nervous at best. She scratched a hand against the thin sheet of metal, a rare piece of armour she wore across her chest. It was the only reason she was human now, that armour. Nacht was not accustomed to be as such, because she was, well Nacht is a wolf. Violet eyes shifted through the darkness, as her ears detected the sound of seemingly happy people. Her tail swayed from left to right....Nacht still hadn't been able to become fully human. The wolfish ears and tail were evidence of that. She liked the sound of people being happy; it was enough to make her feel like she wanted to join them. Of course, Nacht couldn't do that. She barely had a grasp on the human language, and so she couldn't exactly explain herself should she run into someone.

She raised a hand, letting her fingers trail lightly over the collar around her neck. It was the only link she had to her past, if a wolf could have a link to the past. It also served another purpose, to cover the rope scar around her neck. Even when shifting to this form she still bore the same scar. Nacht sighed softly, still glancing around the streets. Her gaze stopped at a purple-y haze from one larger building. It was where the sound of people came from. Her ears twitched, as someone walked past her. Nacht dropped her hands to her side, and after reflecting on it for a moment, she followed the person. They went inside the tavern, so Nacht did too. Her ears flattened against her head and her tail wrapped around one leg protectivly. The smell of smoke and alcohol and the sheer number of people was almost overbearing for her, as she was not used to such things at all. She aimlessly started walking, glancing curiously about until she accidentaly walked into someone. "S...Sorry." The words were forced, as Nacht barely knew the word she was trying to figure out.

Ariella - July 27, 2005 08:05 PM (GMT)
Ariella had walked into the tavern and had sat down to order a drink. After it had arrived and she had finished it, she got up to leave. She had never taken her cloak off and her katana was hidden skillfully behind it along with her large wings. She was walking to the door when someone called out something and Ariella had turned in curiosity. It was in that moment that someone ran right into her. She was about to yell at the person that had bumped into her, when she noticed the appearance of the one who had done it. The being seemed to be part animal although she could not tell which animal.

The seemingly half-breed apologized. “It’s okay. I’m sure you did not mean to.” She was curious about her so she invited her to join her back at her table. “I am alone here and it would be nice to have some company.” She made sure her wings were safely tucked beneath her large, brown cloak. She didn’t want to frighten the girl away. She walked to her previous table in the back where it was dark and hoped the girl would follow her. She seemed to have an air of shyness about her and Ariella could connect with that. Being a half-breed herself made her vulnerable to denigration. She wondered if this happened to the half-animal too.

Nacht - July 30, 2005 06:21 AM (GMT)
She smiled slightly, as her ears perked up again. Nacht managed to avoid letting her tail move, as it would more than likely cause trouble. Giving a short nod, she immidiately followed after the woman she'd bumped into. "O...k. Comp'ny sounds nis ((nice))." One ear twitched as she walked by stumbling drunks and passing barmaids. Her ears were constantly swiveling about now, as the amount of noise was somewhat frightening, yet attractive in a curious way to the wolf. Before she knew it she was at a table in the darker part of the tavern. Violet eyes shifted through the darkness, and for a second they reflected back what little light there was with a soft sort of spark. Just like a wild animal's would in the darkness. "Name, Nacht." She walked around the table for a second, and glanced to the other woman. "Yours?"

Ariella - July 30, 2005 06:37 PM (GMT)
She was delighted the creature had followed her. She seemed to have some sort of problem talking though. "I am Ariella. It is nice to met you Nacht. That's a very interesting name. I like it. Would you like a drink? It will be on me." She tried not to look at the creatures animal features. She didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. She waved the barmaid over and ordered two red wines. She wasn't sure if Nacht would like it but she thought she'd give it a try. "Why don't you sit down and make yourself comfortable?" Nacht already seemed nervous and Ariella really wished she could make her feel safe. So she decided to take a chance. She threw off her cloak and allowed her white wings to spread to their full length. Then she drew them back and looked to see how the creature would react. She hoped she'd take it as a sign of trust.

Nacht - August 1, 2005 06:42 AM (GMT)
Nacht understood most words, but she had trouble speaking them. She was not used to human words, and her learning how to speak was only progressing slowly. She could be likened to a young child, just learning to speak. It wasn't so easy, being something she was so unaccustomed to, but she tried as best she could. Her tail gently swayed from side to side, as she steadily grew calmer at this woman's voice. There was sometihng different about her, the wolf could sense it. But what, she didn't know. It wasn't until the other removed her cloakc and revealed her wings did Nacht understand how differnt the woman really was. She was unafraid of this so-called oddity, and instead only smiled at the sight. Nacht laughed slightly, still grinning. "Pretty." Motioning to the white wings upon the woman's back.
