Heavy footfalls carried his heavy frame through the halls of the arena, before emerging into the arena itself. Slowly his gaze slid across the flat terrain besides the circular platform that lay stretched across the middle. Carefully he made his way along the pathway and up the stairs of the platform. Placing both of his feet firmly upon the platform, his arms folded across his chest as his eyes once again wandered the stands and surroundings as if awaiting an opponent to appear, but alas it wasn’t so easy. There weren’t many willing to fight for pleasure, but instead for money; him being one of the few. Mitsuru knew he would find himself waiting and sure enough that’s what he would do.
*Now a Vet in the arena, Kore had stopped caring about the money he made for each win, and started fighting to keep his skills sharp- possibly re-fine them even more. Casually putting on his armor, his light footsteps were dwarfed by the deafening noise of the crowd as he walked into the sand filled arena. After finishing knotting the straps to his armor, he looked up to see his challenger. Due to the glaring sun, he couldn't make out any distinct features, but the fact that being in this arena and not showing an ounce of fear made Kore realize that this might be a good match. In courtesy, he bowed but kept his eyes on his opponent. After that he held his hand up and gave him a thumbs up.* "Whenever you're ready, big guy." *Kore said with anxiety and confidence.*
The crowd seemed to grow irritably louder as soon as his opponent entered the arena. It had seemed his challenger would have the fans on his side, but the true question was would he have the rest of the fight in his favor as well. Crimson hues studied the man before him before drawing themselves up to the fans and then down to the area around them. Mitsuru had spotted a couple carts that had lined the sides of the two opposing gates, but the rest of the area had been entirely empty besides their two vessels, as they had prepared to square off. This fight would not be a test of strength or a test of ignorance, but instead the test of wits and it would also boil down to who wanted it more. It had really made no difference to him whether he would win or lose, he just simply enjoyed the exhilarating feel of the adrenaline as it coursed through the veins of his core being, his very fabric of his existence. However, if he could win then he would give it his all to try and accomplish that feat.
Gracefully his right hand moved up to the wrappings that hid his mouth from view and pulled them down to expose his features fully to his opponent. It hadn’t been often he had shown his true self to others, but he had found it rather difficult to move around in the robes he had adorned. As he proceeded to unfasten the knot in the band about his waist, he slowly removed the robes and tossed them off to the side, exposing his crimson vest and pants. Visible scars ran the length of his arms, chest, and neck, the only things that could tie him to his unforgiving past. Without a second to waste his form rushed forward as he pushed off from his right foot and made his quick ascent towards Kore giving him little time to prepare himself. Upon his approach, his right hand cocked back, drawing each of his digits in towards the palm of his hand and balling them into a tight fist. With one fluid motion, his right arm jerked forward, drawing his fist in towards the jaw line, but at the last second he quickly hooked it in right before Kore’s face and drawing his right knee up instead, to the man’s gut, hoping that his last second change up would catch Kore off guard.
*Standing ready for his opponent, he was slightly surprised at the rushed offensive, but impressed even moreas the feint punch screened the knee that came at him. Swinging his arm in a swatting fashion, Deflecting the knee which spun Kore counter-clockwise and his enemy clockwise. While the two moved from the momentum still, Kore twisted his waist to his left and lifted his left leg to snap his lower portion quicker around. His movement quicker, he raised his right leg up and used it to do a falling roundhouse kick to the person's back.*
OOC: Excuse the shortness, but you know how short and sweet usually works ^_^--
