Title: no fair night

Zero - July 8, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
As usual Zero wandered around a dark forest for several hours. He wasnt afraid or anything, he just couldnt help that he was going to be attacked at some point. It wouldnt suprise him if it did happen. Places such as ones he was in werent to kind.
Zero could notice a a building on the horizon. He began to walk towards it as the building got bigger and bigger by every step he took. He made sure that the only thing that he could hear was his footsteps and nothing else behind him. Zero could hear a cold wind blow forth and the leaves on the trees shook violently. The place doesnt look so great, but I do need to rest some place. This place should do just fine.

When Zero reached his destination, he placed a hand on the door knob and paused for a moment. He rolled his eyes up and began to think to himself in the moments of silence. He moved on and opened the door. As he entered he saw a woman working there. The place was real quiet on the other hand. He found himself a seat near the entrance and placed his things on things on the table. He sat there with a firm grip on the hilt of his sword while the other hand was wrapped around its sheath. He couldnt help but think he was going to be attacked this night. He readied himself but then tried to look calm. He was beginning to feel a little paranoid about now.

Aegion - July 9, 2005 06:23 AM (GMT)
Aegion took a sip from the apparently famous Purple Mix, which is a cocktail of fruit juice, non-alchoholic. He did not like to take alchoholic drinks for he had seen the addictive and destructive effects it had on others.

He loved it here, this place was quiet and not very crowded, perfect for thinking and concentrating on something that he was doing. Unlike Taras' Song of Elves Tavern & Inn, the people here do not make alot of noise; the general atmospere is just a quiet, warm low murmur. The darkness here was not of the solemn, dangerous silence of the Cathedral or Graveyard, but of the quiet and warm silence of the visiting a crowded, but quiet library at night, with lanterns hanging throughout. Ah, the cool of the night, but the suppressed excitement of eternal darkness in this city had kept him awake up to now, savouring the sights and the mystery.

Glancing up, he noticed a half-celestial enter the tavern, but he seemed paranoid, afraid that something was going to attack him at any moment. Aegion took another sip from his Purple Mix cup, and continued looking at that person, wanting to make sure that he was alright. He would approach him if the situation gets worse, otherwise he would remain in his seat, sipping and enjoying the mixed taste of fruits.

Zero - July 10, 2005 04:05 PM (GMT)
Zero sat there in the stance he was in but tried to make himself look like he wasnt all paranoid. He noticed one sitting away from where he was. Zero looked over at the man and nodded his head. The man seemed concerned for some reason, as if he wanted to help Zero out in some way. But Zero never trusted any part of Balefire. He remembered the last time he was here. Zero had ran into Rith and his wisp, Terror. They had made an attempt to attack Zero. But that was long ago and Zero had grown strong since then. That time really didnt matter anymore. However Zero was hungry and a little thirsty. Zero had gotten over the feeling and got up and asked the lady that worked there for some warm toast and a glass of orange juice. The lady had told Zero that she'd get it prepared in just a minute. Zero walked back to his table and noticed the man still kept watching him. May I help you? Zero spoke out to the man.

Moments later the maid had came to Zero's table with the order he requested. Thank you ma'am Zero began to eat and take sips from his cup. He kept his sheaths closer to him just in case any thing had happened. Zero wondered what the man wanted and why he paid so much attention to Zero. However, he was welcome to sit with him and have a talk if he wanted.

Aegion - July 11, 2005 12:23 PM (GMT)
Their eyes had met for a fleeting moment before that man sat down for his drink. Feeling quite bored of poring over ancient manuscripts, Aegion folded his manuscripts and put them in the pockets of his cloak, and picked up his mug of Purple Mix.

He walked over to the man's table and sat down courteously. Placing the mug on the table, he studied the man for a while, ignoring the temptation to soulgaze him. After a moment, he said, "Greetings, adventurer. May I ask what brings you to this dark city?"

Zero - July 11, 2005 01:10 PM (GMT)
When the man got up, Zero watched him come all the way to his table while he ate and drank. Zero remained silent for a bit when the man had questioned him but then he replied, Greetings to you to, and it was all traveling that brought me here. Running into this place was an accident! Zero had many of his own reasons for not liking the city of Balefire. It was the fact that it was always dark and the environment there was just cruel. Zero took another drink from his orange juice and had emptied his glass. He set his glass and his plate aside and wrapped his wings around his body to keep him warm. And what about you? Zero spoke, wondering what brought him here as well. He noticed his beverage and looked up at him.

Aegion - July 11, 2005 03:06 PM (GMT)
Aegion noticed that from the man's expression when he spoke about the City of Balefire, it seem obvious that he did not like Balefire. Aegion liked Balefire, yet felt disturbed by it. The calm never ending nights, the soft glow of lanterns and the murmur of beings both alive and dead...

"I'm here because of the inn, probably. You might think that I'm crazy to travel from Taras to here just because of the comforting silence of the Balefire Inn, but that's how I am. I just needed to understand a couple of ancient manuscripts that I had."

He wondered if the man is able to decipher scripts, yet he was not sure if he could share his secret and full purpose of his visit here. Studying these manuscripts was not his only purpose. These manuscripts somehow contained some kind of path to the Earth Relic of Nezh'Arkor, and he did not want any Nezh'Arkor cultists to know about him doing so, or his life would be much, much more difficult.

Zero - July 11, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
Zero listened to what the man had spoken of. He seemed a little strange in several ways but that wasnt really all that disturbing. Zero didnt really want to be at the tavern any longer. It was just annoying, thinking about the environment. He looked out the window and brought his eyes up gazing at the sky and saw the full moon glow down on Balefire and probably along Gloomwood. He wasnt trying to be rude or anything but he had to leave. Zero couldnt stand being at a place like he was in. He got up and strapped his sheaths onto his waist and the other over his shoulder. "Im sorry but must go." And in a hurry he looked outside again from the window behind him and quickly reached in his sack of gold and left a few on the table as a tip for the waitress. And with a blink of an eye he had already been outside.

Zero flew up in the air and stopped. He flapped his wings to keep him up as he tied a knot on the sack of gold onto the strap of his sheath. He looked down and wondered if the man would have tried to follow him. He waited a while to see if he would come out. Either that or the man inside had no idea what had just happened. Zero's destination was now Talas. I would really prefer that he would not follow me, but if he does, well.....I really dont care...

(OOC:If you want to make another 'follow on' topic in Talas thats cool, just PM me about it. If you have you own idea's or whatever then just post back to this thread. :D )
