The grass was a dark green in the empty archery range. The slight breeze gently moved the idle blades of grass back and forth. Eden walked onto the field and smiled. He could now practice as he had not done so in quite a while. He looked around for a practice target and spotted bull's eye rings. They were painted red on piled up hay. Eden set his back pack down and reached for his long bow. The quiver on his back was heavy with arrows he had made on his journies, always building in number for they were never used. The arrows had a wide variety of tips on them, some having stone, copper, or even silver points.
Making sure that his arm bracers were on, he reached behind his head and grabbed an arrow between his index and middle finger. The guiding feather was soft and loose. Eden pulled the arrow out and positioned it on the muscle string of the bow. A strechting sound came with the pull of the bow. Both eyes were open, as Eden believed that would him better aim, and then a snap. The arrow was set free and flying toward the target with great energy. The target burst, hay flying up in the air. It was a near perfect shot. The arrrow hit just a little bit to the left of the center. Eden smiled. He thought he migt have completely lost his touch from not bowing that often.
It had been awhile since she'd been around this place. But restlessness had struck Pheonix once more, and in her aimless wanderings she'd stumbled across the academy of arms once more. The mutt (as she'd dubbed herself), scanned the range with dual toned eyes. Her ears quirked at the sound of an arrow sent flying, and her own natural curiousity was what caused Pheonix to tread on over to the only other person currently here. Pheonix yawned, stretching her hands back behidn her head as she glanced down to her usual companion: a young red-wolf, named Genesis. She wasn't much for long range, so she was somewhat out of place in the archer range. But Pheonix...just being Pheonix, was only looking for something to keep her amused. Nto that it was hard to amuse Pheonix, as she was a rather odd individual (in more ways than one).
Making sure not to startle the other, she stopped a few feet away, and rocked back and forth on her heels. "Niiiiice, shot there." She gave a quick smile, showing off one wolfish fang before disappearing. The wolf alongside her stopped as well, and sat next to her.
