Title: A beautiful sight...

Airie - December 8, 2003 04:07 AM (GMT)
Ciara skipped along as she wandered through the Norwood Forest in search a place to rest her head for the night. There was still much daylight but she hoped she would find a place soon as to be prepared for the night. Stopping in midskip, her eyes widened in delight as she came across as beautiful lake surrounded by willows. It was a picture perfect sight, the Forest just kept getting better and better. This couldn't have been the sea that Lyrka had spoken of, it seemed too small. No, this wasn't it at all, so taking a closer look wouldn't be cheating. She giggled as she ran to the Lake, stopping just at the waters edge and looked all around her. The air was fresh smelling, the willows swayed in the wind as the Lake appeared to stand still. The water was was a deep blue, crystal clear, the trees that had died where half in and half out of the water. Deciding to get a better view, Ciara ventured out onto one of the dead trees and too a seat. Dipping her already bare feet into the cool water, she smiled to herself. This is where I will rest. It is secluded enough that I won't have to worry about the bandits or wolves and this place feels somewhat like home. Tipping her head back she looked up into the many willow branches. Giggling again, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the wind and the many sounds that surrounded the Lake.

Tarí walked towards the lake, she saw someone there but wasn't sure if she should approach or not, but she was thirsty and wanted water. She drew her bow and a arrow, then walked over to the lake. "Who are you?" She asked holding her bow and the ready. She was taller then the person that stood sat on a old tree that had falling into the small lake.

Hearing rustling within the forest and thinking it was only the soft breeze that passed by her, Ciara did not move from her place on the tree, nor did she open her eyes. Thinking back to the many days she had spent up on the mountain and how adventurous her journey had already been. She did not notice the horselike being approached the calm lake. Hearing a voice, she opened her eyes in surprise and searched for the face. Seeing a figure at the edge of the lake with a bow aimed and ready she gasp. Oh my, what have I done? I pausing for a moment, seeming paniced and flustered, her words did not seem to want to come outI am Ciara Aoife. I mean you no harm I assure you. Please, if you would put down your bow, I would be happy to tell you anything you would like to know.

Tarí - January 5, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
Tarí watched the woman move, she calmed down now that the woman said she meant no harm. "I will not harm you if you say you don't mean any harm," She said lowering her bow alittle ways. "All I would like to know what you are doing here, I will not harm you," She said walking closer to the person, she still had a arrow in her bow but she didn't think she would need it.

Letting out a sigh of relief she rolled her eyes softly. Not in disrespect but glad to see the creature in front of her not being so defensive with their bow. Well, I mean to do nothing in this beautiful place other than relax my tired body. As I have said, I mean you no harm, so there is nothing to worry about. She smiled wildly hoping this would please her company. She did not need to anger her anymore.

Unless of course this is your home and I have intruded, then I am really sorry. It is just that the trees remind me of my own and they give me strength to finish my travels through Imythess. Making me feel less homesick you could say. All of what she said was true and that was the genuine reason why she was in the forest so often. It did relax her and made her feel more at home, even though no other tree could take the place of her Yew.

She waved for the centaur come over and join her on the old fallen tree in the middle of the lake. Come, please, sit with me if you will and tell me more of this place? It is one of my favorite places that I have seen here and I wish to know all I can. With that, her face brightened, her eyes softly glowed with joy in the shadows of the trees.

Tarí walked over to where Ciara was at, but she couldn't go on the log, she walked into the water, it made her fur soft and cold, it was calming in the water.
"This is not my home, well, I don't know what to call my home, the whole forest is my home, but I do not wish to make people flee because I have a bow, I always just want to know what you were doing here, and you told me, I do not mind for you to stay here, if it reminds you of your home then I do not wish to make you leave in a hurry," She said putting her hands in the water then lifting them up with water in them she put her mouth up to her hands then sipped, she then looked up at the one who sat on a log, "I will be pleased to tell you things of the forest, but I don't know what you want me to talk about, I mean I will like to know what part of the forest you want to know about, there are so many places here that it is hard to talk about without knowning what place to talk about." She said, she walked into the water more, it coverd her whole horse back, she put her hands into the water again but she wasn't going to get a drink.

Ciara smiled wildly, so happy to see that she had calmed this creature down. Well anything really, there is so little I know. She dipped her legs into the waters, pulling up her long dress so that it would not get wet. Tell me about this place? An eyebrow rose curiously to the creature who waded into the waters. She kicked her legs slowly beneath the waters surface creating small whirlpools as her legs drew back to her.

She found this centaur to be quite pleasant. Nothing at all like her first impression of the her, which as an evil being who caused much violence. No, after a moment Ciara saw that there was a great amount of good to her, she only wanted to protect the places she cared about and dwelled, pushing evil out the best she could.

Ciara could not fight back the smile that had so gracefully found its way upon her face, she was quite glad to of been here when she was, for now she would know even more of the most comforting place in all of Imythess.

Tarí - January 6, 2004 05:37 PM (GMT)
Tarí took in some air, she then said, "This place has been here for years, even I do not know how long this place has been here, the things I know is that evil has not been here for a long time, one time demons and chaos once came here, there were no one here to protect this place, not just the lake, but the whole forest, they started to burn the forest, there were elves, but they couldn't stop the burning, no one could, my kind, didn't live here, we lived all over the place, we traveld, but the elves fled and the creatures left the forest, after the forest got burned to the ground the elves and others that cared about the forest planted trees and helped them grow, after the forest started to grow after years the trees were getting bigger, and the ones who lived there swore, they swore that they will not let the forest come to any harm, and this was the place they swore at, if there is any evil here I will do anything to get kill it, no matter how much I suffer I will protect this forest with my life, I will always rotect this forest with my life, and that is what they swore so many years ago, there will always be someone watching the forest. The elves are now what they are today, they didn't care for the forest as much as they care for it now, they will fight for it too, like many others who will use thier lives to keep this place safe," she looked at the woman she was talking to, she seemed to be a pleasent person. "So that is what this place holds, it is holy for those of the forest, I do not mean to make you think you should leave this place, those who don't mean any harm will not get any harm done to them." she water in her hands again then drank it.

Ciara smiled, looking around happily, having a better understanding for the Norwood Forest and the lake she sat in the middle of. It is a wonderful piece of work. I have come here in peace and althought I may not always be around, when I am I will give my aide to protect the forest.

She turned to Tari, beaming at her as she spoke. For if it wasn't for the forest, my kind would be no more and for those of my race, I would do anything. It was true, all the words she spoke, she meant every one. When it came down to it, their home was her home, no matter how far away her might be.

Tarí - January 13, 2004 04:00 PM (GMT)
Tarí tilted her head when the woman had mentiond people, "And what is your people? I would like to know," she was curious what the womans people were. She walked further into the water it got deeper but over her head yet. She looked at Ciara, she was curious of the woman, not just about her people but everything.
She flicked her horse tail that was in the water, she was trying to get on her back but her tail wasn't strong enough agaisnt the water.

"Oh well I am a dryad." Ciara made a dramatic pose up on the log, giggling as she kicked out her legs. "We are the spirits that live within the trees, growing as they grow and protecting them along the way." Ciara beamed a smile to Tari who seemed so curious about her. She liked telling her about herself, it wasn't often that she did. "Our lives are intertwined, the dryad and her tree. And also, there are no men dryads, only women." Ciara let the soft breezes pick up her hair and blow the strands behind her. "What are you again? I don't think I have seen one like you yet here in Imythess." Her head had tilted as Tari's tail seemed to sway back and forth in the water. A horse, but not really a horse, it is fascinating.
