Claws scrabbled on the stone of the cathedral's floor, and a small scaled creature skittered out between the rows of pews, jewel-bright eyes taking in it's surroundings eagerly. It twisted, wings fluttering, as a tall, hooded figure followed it in, one hand holding a lantern high over her head. Violet eyes gleamed under the hood, and the figure's gaze darted around, then the caution that had stretched through the being's body faded away, and it relaxed.
"Well, you told me you wanted to speak, so feel free to do so now." The voice was female, and from the sound of it, the woman was annoyed. "Or is this place too near a crowd for you, too?" The comment was dry, and a faint hiss entered the voice. "This is such a waste of my-"
"Shut up. I can't believe you ignored all of my advice...I keep telling you, you're going to do something stupid! You'll screw up and you'll die, and I'll have to wait to get a chance to come to this world again...do you have any idea how long it takes?!" the woman's voice rose quickly into a half-wail, although her body language stayed relaxed and calm.
"Someone's being selfish..." The figure pulled back her hood, and brushed a lock of gold hair behind one pointed ear, catching the pseudodragon up in one hand. "You actually get another chance, I don't."
The girl stopped speaking, and perched on the edge of a bench, scratching lightly at the dragon's neck. "Thats not my fault, is it? No."
"...So?"
