Title: A Visit of the Lord
Count Flamel - June 25, 2005 05:38 AM (GMT)
Walking most silently through the ruined city, Count Flamel noticed a building that brought happiness into his heart. What he was looking at gave him hope of talking with the Lord. He was looking at a great Cathedral. Even though it appeared to be a ruined building, it was still a cathedral – a great place in the world to worship God and pray. Count Flamel walked towards it. The wind blew against him as he strenuously fought through it towards the Cathedral.
After a great deal of strength, Flamel had made it into the building, and all was calm inside. To most, it would seem that the building was creepy having broken glass, rubble, and spider webs all throughout it, but Flamel thought it a wonderful place of holiness and peace. He walked through the aisles of benches to the stage that stood at the far end of the building. Upon the stage was a stone cross leaning most respectfully straight against the wall. Flamel walked up to it, and kneeled down in silence.
Marikah Rain - June 25, 2005 06:00 AM (GMT)
Kneeling in prayer at one of the ruined pews was a small figure of a girl no more than twenty. As such, the man that had entered hadn't seen her, which was just fine with her. The less people who noticed, the better off she was.
The man seemed so deep in prayer that it appeared easy for Marikah to slip out of the cathedral. As quietly as she could, she got up and tiptoed down the aisle to get out. However, she hadn't counted on stepping on a large piece of glass, making a cracking sound that resonated through the ruined building.
Count Flamel - June 25, 2005 07:17 AM (GMT)
Just as Count Flamel had finished his prayer, he heard the cracking of glass not to far behind him inside the cathedral. His instantly unsheathed his katana and held it in front of his body as he twisted around to see a woman standing there seemingly with a face of failure and also sorrow. Apparently, as she was leaving she had hoped not to disturb Flamel, but it was that she stepped on a piece of glass that quite accidentally disturbed Flamel, as she hoped not to happen. She didn’t seem to be of any harm to the Count, and thus Flamel sheathed his katana back into its rightful place.
And he spoke out the woman: “Why, hello. I hope you weren’t leaving so soon. I do wish to have some company; would you consider staying for a little longer?” Count Flamel had walked to one of the front benches and sat down looking at the woman most respectfully; although, she would not know how he looked, for it was impossible to see Flamel’s face.

Marikah squeaked in fear as the man turned and unsheathed a katana. He stood for a moment or two, as if studying her--she couldn't tell for sure, because his face was covered--before resheathing the katana. She sighed in relief as she thought, I'm not going to die today.
“Why, hello. I hope you weren’t leaving so soon. I do wish to have some company; would you consider staying for a little longer?”
She weighed his words; she hadn't intended on leaving so soon, but she also hadn't expected anyone to battle through the raging winds outside to pray. It sounded as if the storm had gotten worse outside; her only safe option was to stay until it blew over.
"Of course I will, good sir," she replied as she turned and headed towards him, avoiding the glass as much as possible. She sat down next to him, not too close, and was unsure of what to say.
Jet Enduro - June 25, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
Jet had been searching for the Golden Cross. He had been searching through all nooks and cranies. He was in the upper levels. When he spotted it and the two people. Jet had a choice to make. One he could take the cross and run. Second. He decided to take the cross and run. He had a horse hidden outside so he was good. Jet got up on the banister. He jumped grabbing onto the chandilier. Swinging he leped to the top of the statue. Jet kept his balence and grabbed the cross. He tucked it into his belt and lept off. When he hit the ground he rolled. Getting up he took off at a run. The two people got up, one of them had a katana out. Jet didn't pay attention. He used his sholder to slam the door open. He ran to the bushes, and hoped onto his horse. Kicking it's ribs he galloped away. Down the road he smiled.
"Finnaly I got it. I've been in that cathedral for two days. And it was in the most obvious place.
Jet galloped down the road with a priceless treasure in his belt.
Drogan - June 25, 2005 06:08 PM (GMT)
Suddenly seeing a man jumping all over the place within a Cathedral made Count Flamel wonder in surprise. As the man was galloping away in the distance on his horse, Flamel heard his saying, “Finally I got it. I've been in that cathedral for two days. And it was in the most obvious place.” Flamel had no time to react to this most surprising event, and let him go in curiosity and wonder.
He looked over his shoulder towards the woman and asked her: “Well, that was rather surprising; don’t you think?”
OOC: Opps, wrong character. Just think that this is Flamel. Sorry.
Marikah Rain - June 26, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
Marikah was surprised into silence as the strange man grabbed the cross, stuffed it into his belt and left, without acknowledging either her or the Count.
"That was rather random," Marikah agreed, wondering what would possess someone to go into a place of worship to steal something. Probably a treasure seeker, she thought. Realizing she had been silent for a moment or two--even though it was in her nature--Marikah searched for something to say, and came up with nothing.
Count Flamel - June 26, 2005 06:58 AM (GMT)
After a few moments of silence between the two, Count Flamel decided to end it by speaking: “I am sorry, but I don’t believe I know your name… Pardon me, I shall introduce myself first. That would be rude to ask you so demanding like I did, and now I say: My name is Count Flamel. You may think me to be an angel or demon, but that is mistaken, for I am mortal; I am of the human race, but I am different from almost all other human, do you agree? I have wings as most humans do not. I have been resurrected from the grave by the Lord himself as most humans have not… Please Miss, do I frighten you?” Almost always, Count Flamel asks everyone he meets this question, for most people are frightened by him, or at least they feel somewhat uncomfortable with him around. Prejudice is a powerful tool, and it is also a deadly and, at times, a very sinister one. So many races have been persecuted because of prejudice. So many people have died because of prejudice. Count Flamel thought it to be evil, for it was that he had felt such persecutions in his life times.
Marikah Rain - June 26, 2005 05:13 PM (GMT)
"My name is Marikah," Marikah replied. "And no, you do not frighten me. Fools fear what they do not understand. I have been the subject of fear and hatred in my own village because of what I am. I too, am different from most humans but not in the way you are."
She didn't like talking about her strangeness; remembering her childhood wasn't one of her favorite things to do.
Count Flamel - June 26, 2005 07:25 PM (GMT)
“Marikah?” He pondered the name to see if he had heard it before, but all failed, for he had not. “It is a pleasure to meet you.” If Count Flamel had no needed to hide his face from the world, he would have just kissed Marikah’s hand in politeness, but it was that he hid his face, and thus could not kiss her hand. Instead, Flamel bowed to her in greetings.
And then Flamel spoke again: “I am glad to find other people have the faith as I do. I am glad to see you her of most of all.” He paused for a moment and continued: “Pardon me, but may I ask what your religion may be? But before you may answer, I shall tell you mine. I have a faith of Christianity, for it was that the Lord himself grabbed me from Hell and brought me back to the world so I may have a second chance in redeeming myself. I do not wish to see that hellish place again; rather, I wish to see the holy land of Heaven.” Count Flamel stopped. He had nothing else to say at the moment, and simply let Marikah to answer his question.
