Title: Practicing Necromancy

Lánilmathién - June 21, 2005 08:27 PM (GMT)
Darkness shrouded the womans face in shadow as she walked. The breeze blew over her, and she pulled her cape close to her. She didn't feel right in a magicks academy. It just...well, it just didn't feel right to her because of her past, but she knew that in order to work on her necromancy, she would need to find someone here to help her learn her spells again -because the damn mages erased her magical memory on her way from her kingdom.

Every second or so, she would glance over her shoulder very nervously and then walk faster. She did not enjoy it when she was in places like this school, because she always had to look behind her head and figure out what was happening. She knew that the mages were looking for her, and if one was to find her here, she would be forced to flea Imythess, so she was ever alert and ever watchful.

Icywing, her scimitar, was belted at her waistband, and her cloak blew back exposing it. The large black riding boots she wore covered up to her thigh, and also covered the black pants that fit underneath the riding boots. She wore a black leather camisole that fit her tightly and exposed her heaving breasts sometimes. Her black hair was placed behind the hood of her cloak as she moved, silently, and it would slowly slip strands of black lockes outside of the hood and into her face.

Her boots clicked down the hall as she turned the corner, walking into a classroom. She checked both ways of the hall to make sure no one was watching, or even near, and she closed the door, bolting it after her. She slipped her heavy cloak off of her body and layed it upon a small wooden chair in the corner. And then she got to work. She skimmed through every book she could find, looking for any bit of information about the hidden art of necromancy she could -lets just say she didn't find much.

They had to be keeping the dark and light spells of Necromancy locked up, but how would someone get them in this room? She would need to find it, of course, but how could she? She had no more knowledge of magicks, except for her spell to heal, and she could not use power displacement to pull the books on Necromancy to her...She would need a Magistracy if she wished to learn this power again.

She couldn't well go up to a Magistracy and ask if they had a book on necromancy, 'cause that would be dangerous, so she decided to call them to her. She positioned herself on the floor of the room and she calle dupon her simple spell of healing. SHe brought her scimitar across her arm and formed a small flesh cut. The spell quickly healed it and sent out a signal of magic use in the academy...A magistracy would have to come now.

Master Ace - June 22, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)
Ace sat in an empty classroom staring out into the starlit sky through a window. His birthday was right around the corner. His mother was probably already plotting something special for him. He was curious as to what she would get him, but that's not what his thoughts were lingering upon. His thoughts were instead again pondering divine intervention to undo the curse upon his mother. Of the four dieties only two seemed as if they might be capable of breaking the curse and Sargoth was completely out of the question. This left him of course with the goddess of night. Ace chuckled softly and humorlessly at the irony to himself.

Ace's thought's were dispelled by the echo of footsteps. What was someone doing around here so late a night? Ace got up and moved swiftly to the door hoping to find that it was not merely his imagination.

Ace came into the hallway in time to see a dark figure make it's way into a classroom. Ace quickly made his to the door of the class room and attempted to open it. It was no use, the door was bolted shut. Despite the lack of sense it made, it seemed that a theif was intent upon doing work at the academy. Ace wouldn't have that. Ace quickly cast a spell and unbolted the door. "What is the meaning of this?" Ace demanded angrily as he stormed into the room.

Lánilmathién - June 23, 2005 04:38 AM (GMT)
"Damn. Interuppted by a...Magistracy. Good. My name is Kioku, and I am here because I wish to practice my necromancy in this divine school. I am but a humble woman who has recently traveled to this land because of dangers in my previous one. I was a strong necromancer back then, and I wish to become that strong once again. Please? Please aid me...I am sorry it is so late, but I needed to come at a time when I would not be seen. Daylight doesn't really fix my fancy."

She smiled as she dropped her cloak and her scimitar to the side. She moved her foot outward and let it carefully push the scmiitar and heavy cloak underneath the desk. She walked forwardm pushing desks out of her way as she looked at the man she knew as Ace. She knew as well as anyone did that this was a powerful sage, among many things. This man was the only thing that could help the girl come back with her magicks.

"First, please teach me the basics. Like how magical energy is drawn when your in Imythess, and where the strongest magicks lie here. Anything basic you could find that would be interesting for me to know. I only need to know important things, but I would spend days at a time here. Pleae, help me."

She simply moved forward and began to stare out of a window that had come from now where. It had just...well, been there. Nothing more, and nothing less. It was the place where she could pull through and learn her Necromancy through this place, and through this Half Dragon known as Ace....This is where she could learn...

"Please, Make me your apprentice..."

(I'm getting a headache so I'll go for quality rather than quanity)
Ace was dumbfounded by Kioku's reaction. His fury was quickly replaced by confusion. He almost missed entirely that she had called the school divine, a statement very far from the truth in multiple aspects. Ace took in a deep breath as he brought himself back to his senses. She had disarmed herself so most likely she was just some foolish hopeful student rather than theif.

"I am sure you find the rewards of being a student greater than being my apprentice, especially if you wish to specialize in Necromancy again. I am never one to turn away students. I'm sorry for yelling at you a few moments ago, but you do relize you did seem more like a theif than a potential student, don't you?"

"I have had some...bad experiences with some Mages in my life, and this is why I came in the way I did. I Appologize, I truely do."

As she spoke, her voice echoed through the room. She needed to begin. A book suddenly appeared to her right, something she had not expected in the least bit, and as she read threw the first couple of pages, the spells scribed themselves into her mind. A spell on Healing, stronger than the one she knew now, a spell on Detecting magicks and their forms througout the world, and another spell on Dispelling magicks when they are cast upon you. These would be needed in the future, but the rest seemed to be Cleric magic that had not scribed into her brain. She tossed the book to the side, and in an instant, the book was gone again...Strange.

"So, Can you teach me?"

(Sorry, I didn't just want to have my Magicks appear in her mind, when in the first post it says that I only knew the healing one ^_^)
