Title: Party!

Zorgn - June 2, 2005 09:48 PM (GMT)
And they think I'm evil...

Zorgn laughed quietly to himself as he saw a short little man pour poison into a large tub of punch. Why he did it, Zorgn would probably never know, for there were more important things on his mind than a little poison. The party going on was more than enough to occupy his little mind.

Great fireworks were exploding in the night sky above. The stars could not be seen through the haze of multicolored smoke that hung above the town. The town square was filled with tables piled high with food and drink. Zorgn still didn't know for sure what they were celebrating. The main celebrations were supposed to be in a few weeks, yet the idiot people partied like it was 999.

Less ranting, more drinking! Zorgn shook his head and smiled. There was enough alcohol here to give all of Talas a hangover for a week, Zorgn would do his best to get very, very drunk.

(OOC - Fight, talk, I don't care... Someone please post...)

Nariwa Kona - June 2, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
((heh heh... drunk...))

Konahomaru walked into the Village area, suprised a t the festivities. ~Is it about to be the year 1000 or something?~ he thought to himself, unsure of why everbody was so happy. Looking around, he found something that concerned him even more. A vampire. "Wonderfull" he muttered to himself. BEfore he could do anything, he noticed a crowd member collapse on the ground. A small man was fleeing the scene.

Everyone was panicked, except the vampire. Kona immidiatly chased after the small man, shouting "Stop! City Gaurd! Im Warning you!" tha man continued to run, his pace quickening. "Very well" said Kona smiling. He always had a thing for punishing Mortals. He raised his hand and blasted a narrow beam of light at the mans feet, tripping him. Immediatly Kona pounced on him, and trussed him up with some rope that he produced from his backpack.

"Your coming with me son" he said confidently, walking towards the gaurd house at the edge of the village.

Vernon - June 3, 2005 12:05 AM (GMT)
("Light" trpping people..., don't think I want to know)
"I told you he'd get caught," Vernon whispered to Ritz as he saw the gaurd aprehend the short man. The small rat shuffled about as seemed as if he was stating that it was the other way around. " Yeah, so it was my idea. Least the deed is done," Vernon snickered moving away from the wall he was leaning against. "And with the job done we are free to join the party." Vernon had no fear of the short man accussing him of being his employer, he had shifted into the form of a human for the duration he was speaking to the fool. Now Vernon was in his Rat-like form, only without his normal ungodly stench. He didn't want to clear out a wild party and didn't want to blow his cover either. Vernon snagged a large drumstick from a pile of food on one of the tables. Food tasted better rotten in his opinion, but free food was free food. The quality of the food wasn't that bad either. He bit into the drumstick with his sharp teeth as he tried to think of what to do next.

Zorgn - June 3, 2005 12:56 AM (GMT)
(OOC - Very interesting history for your char, Username. That was some good stuff.)
(OOC - *again* Somehow I knew you'd show up, Ace.)

Things were starting to get wild as the party heated up. Someone unleashed a spell upon the poisoner and a large rat-man was off to the side eating a drumstick. In the past year or two the people of Kellen had learned to leave alone strangers who looked the least bit creepy. This seemed to go double for Zorgn. I've stomped this place enough...

Zorgn laughed wildly as he snatched a mug of beer from one of the numerous tapsters around a large wooden keg in the center of the party. He drained the glass and threw it at the head of the man pulling along the poisoner. Maybe a sore head would teach him not to catch criminals. Besides, Zorgn thought with a smile, a talented poisoner can be usefull.

Nariwa Kona - June 3, 2005 10:41 AM (GMT)
(Thank you! it only took me about 15 minutes to think up too! im smart. heh heh.)

The small man was protesting his little heart out, swearing up and down that he had not poisoned anybody. Kona smiled. "I didnt know that you poisoned somebody! In fact it was my beleif that you had done something else! Now youve just revealed your crime you moron. Ha ha ha!" Kona said.

Kona looked around, to make sure the little man didnt have any backup. Just then he saw a Mug speeding towards his face. Immediatly he hoisted up the little man, and it hit him square in the stomach. "Oof!" he mumbled, his breath taken away. Kona set him down and rabbit punched him, knocking him out.

~Hmmm... judging by the direction...~ he thought to himself, as he began walking towards the drunken vampire across the party area.

Vernon - June 3, 2005 02:06 PM (GMT)
(what can I say, we like to pester one anoher)
Vernon shook his head as he watched the fool protest that he hadn't poisoned anyone. So long as he didn't say he poisoned the punch things would be okay. It would be fun to watch a few more people drop admist their jovial enjoyment. Vernon's attention was diverted as he man nearby throw a beer mug, though as he followed the beer mug he found it was aimed at the gaurd. It was a shame the mug didn't hit him though.

He was glad to see the man knock out the criminal. It would be too bad if it were to be found out too soon that the punch was poisoned. He wondered if the gaurd would be able to find out who threw the mug as he took another bite. Ritz scampered atop Vernon's head to attempt to get a good veiw of the gaurd. Apparently the little rat was wondering the same thing. Vernon slowly walked towards Zorgn. He was willing to greet confrontation with open arms and well armed for it as well.

Nariwa Kona - June 3, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
((im not sure pester is the word for it. However it does seem your saying so reveals that your other comment was sarcasm. :P ))

Konahomaru walked up to the Vampire and saw the Rat creature stand beside him. All Kona needed was one good look at the two, and knew exactly what was going on. "You have guilt written all over your face, and you, have trouble written all over you face. You might as well have written it yourself." he said, aproaching casually.

"Are you drunk or plain stupid?" asked Konahomaru towards the Vampire, ignoring the rat for now.

Zorgn - June 3, 2005 04:41 PM (GMT)
Zorgn laughed and replied to the guard, "A bit of both, I think." Zorgn was in a jovial mood, the beer only helped increase this. Zorgn was feeling quite friendly at the moment, there was no one to kill and apparently the guard saw the large rat-man too. Either they were both totally drunk or the rat-thing really existed.

Zorgn turned and poked the rat in the ribs. His finger met solid flesh and he stepped back in confusion. "That is one good costume you're wearing," Zorgn said, still not quite ready to belive that this large rodent was real. "who gave it to you?"

Vernon - June 3, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
Vernon stared akwardly at the vampire as he was poked. Clearly the man was drunk, though there were many a sober soul who disbeleived in Vernon's existance. "It's not a costume," Vernon replied before taking another bite out of the meat.

"Look kid, it's not nice to take advantage of the drunk and stupid," Vernon said in a threating tone to the guard. "but, it is pretty darn fun," Vernon wanted to add but held tounge. "How in the world do you think you are, struting around talking to be like that? You should be ashamed of yourself," Vernon said to the gaurd while pointing a shadow dagger at him. Vernon then took the dagger and cut off a small slice of meat from the drumstick. He held it up over is head and it was quickly snatched by Ritz before the small rat ran off into the backpack with the food in it's mouth.

Nariwa Kona - June 4, 2005 01:46 AM (GMT)
Kona was not realy surprised at the rat-creatures actions. "Interesting. Your lack of respect for authority is somehow predictable, considering your actions towards me." Kona sniffed at the air. "You smell kind of funny ya know?" he said smiling. Turning to the vampire, he said "Yes this creature is real. Ive seen another like him before. Dont be unduly worried, he only has any ill intentions towards me, not you."

~Why in the world is this creature so confident? He may be a match for me, but if it werent for my powers having been depleted, i wouldve smited him long ago... dam.! he thought to himself.

"Very well. Ill leave you two alone to do whatever it was you were doing. I have to go remove the poison from the punch" Said Kona s he turned. Another gaurd was on the scene and Kona walked over to him and had a breif conversation. The guard handed Kona a vial, and then picked up the man and alked to the gaurd house.

Kona the proceeded to the punch bowl and poured in the vial, neutralizing the poison. "Very well indeed." he said to himself, and then started to patrol around the crowd.

Zorgn - June 4, 2005 04:40 PM (GMT)
Ass Zorgn thought to himself. He unpoisoned the punch. I better fix that. Zorgn unsheathed his shadow dagger and rammed it into a large ham when that stupid gaurd was looking away. More people would die tonight, and the guard would not stop it.

Some ham here, some chicken there... Zorgn took every chance to poison the food. No guard was going to stop the killing tonight. If things went good Zorgn just might burn Kellen again. It had been such a long time since Kellen had burned at Zorgn's hand and just a spark would set all that beer to flaming.

Vernon - June 4, 2005 06:25 PM (GMT)
"Authority, who the hell does he think he is? Lord of Kellen or something. He could use a lesson learned for sure," Vernon thought to himself. He began to wonder how much the party would be disrupted if he killed the gaurd right then. "He thinks, I smelly funny now, he ain't smelt nothing yet," Vernon thought to himself after hearing Kona's comment. It brought him into a lighter mood, but his mood was once again darkened when he heard the guard excuse himself fromthe conversation. Vernon walked kona closely as he left. He didn't check the punch before pouring in some "antidote". A foolish act since it might make matters worse rather than better if mixed with the proper toxin. Luckily for Kona, Verno had not taken tie to prepare the proper toxin.

Vernon's attention turned to the vampire as Zorgn stabbed meat with a dagger so immilar to his own. "Atleast someone around her knows how to have fun," Vernon thought to himself with a smile. Vernon picked off a peice of meat and mumured a spell before tossing it over his shoulder and into the punch bowl. The poison was magical and deadly. It would likely be too much for the antidote even in a larger quantity. Everyone was likely to drunk or too busy partying to notice. "Let's see his antidote combat that poison," Vernon grinned to himself. Vernon couldn't stop there. He couldn't let some random drunk outpoison him, he was after all Pestilence.

Vernon's eys scanned the tables looking for a large bit of untouched meat. His eyes stopped upon a large fat turkey a few tables away. Murmuring a few words again a thin invisble toxic cloud issued from the turkey. Anyone to come near the cloud would likely catch the disease which would slowly weaken them. It would be too slow for deaths to be seen at the party, but it wouldn't be detectible. The pioson had only a faint akward scent tto identify it. Heaven forbid someone tried to eat the turkey, they'd likely end up dead before they left the party.

Nariwa Kona - June 5, 2005 10:57 PM (GMT)
Kona had finished his rounds, and another gaurd came to take his place for the next few hours. Turning his head to the table with food on it, he saw that it wasnt first class, but then thought: ~I guess i cant complain. They are only mortals after all...~

Walking over to it, he noticed the rat creature was walking around and messing with the food. ~Not entirely surprising.~ he thought as soon as he got a glimpse of his face. ~You would have your way on the villagers tonight would you? If it werent for my being a gaurd id just leave, but a jobs a job...~ he thought, as he began to walk inconspicously closer to the rat-creature.

Acting like he was interested in the turkey, Kona picked up the entire platter and smelled it. ~That same funny smell as the rat...~ Acting disgusted, he threw it behind him and it landed in a mud puddle. Nobody cared, they were to drunk. Nobody would eat it either.

~Lets see your next move.~

Zorgn - June 6, 2005 01:19 AM (GMT)
*next move*

Zorgn cursed inwardly as he saw the guard throw out food. Zorgn concluded he must have figured out the food was poisoned. The funny thing was that Zorgn had not poisoned the turkey. So the rat is on my side for the moment. Time to brute force this stinking chess game before I lose.

Zorgn walked to the beer table and grabbed a keg under one arm. With the other hand he grabbed a torch. Back to doing what I do best, burning Kellen. Zorgn smiled as he walked away from the party. He knew a taver that would be full of flamable things. Better yet, it was wedged against buildings on all three sides and would spread the fire to homes and businesses. Hopefully at least some of the townsfolk would be at home, ready to die in flames.

Nariwa Kona - June 6, 2005 03:11 PM (GMT)
Konahomaru had got a look at Zorgns face when he decided to stare at his turley throwing. Watching him start walking away with a beer keg, Kona silienlty creeped up behind him. When he got closer he drew his Katana and raised it, readying the hilt to knock Zorgn out.

~A drunk pyro-freak. That is interesting. It is too bad im not the Son of the Godess of Water!~

Zorgn - June 6, 2005 04:22 PM (GMT)
A roar from the darkness shook Zorgn to the bone. Vorite had not even warned him he was there. The nerve of that creature, I- Before Zorgn could finish his thought darkness enveloped him and, unknown to Zorgn, his attacker. Zorgn leapt forward, beating his wings to gain flight and escape the darkness. Must hold on to keg, but so heavy...

Nariwa Kona - June 6, 2005 05:55 PM (GMT)
Right when Kona was about to strike, suddenly he became blinded. "Ha! I shouldve guessed that one!" he said out loud. "This should not be hard to escape... hmm.." he siad, as he looked around. he couldnt even see his own hands.

~Bineg the Son of Light i suppose i could just... ahh there we go!~ Kona allowed his aura to let fly again, and in a rush of blinding light, beams of light pierced thorugh the darkness, cutting it into smaller pieces. "This is somewhat dificult. Dam that mage!" just then, his burst of emotion made the aura even brighter, cutting the darkness into smaller peices.

Kona started to walk out of the void, and was able to see everyone again. The villagers jaws dropped, some even fainted. "Its a god!" they all exclamed, and began bowinf furiously. ~Of course. As soon as they find out im only half-god, they will get afraid and assume im here to punish them.~

"Rise!" he said, raising his hand. The villagers rose up, still staring at all the light and sparks being thrown off Kona, a few of the bolts of lightning carressing his sword as he held it beside him. "I am no god, merely the Son of a godess. Rever no worship to me."
Then he looked up and saw Zorgn trying to escape with the keg.

"You idiot! did you honestly think that you could fly away with that? Weakling!" said Kona, as he charged up a Light Spell. ~Blinding Beam!~

A charge of light centered at his fingers and eyes, and then he looked directly at Zorgn. "See no more!" he said, and then a flood of light issued forth from his eyes and fingers, then narrowing and heading straight for Zorgns eyes.

Zorgn - June 6, 2005 06:51 PM (GMT)
Zorgn closed his eyes as the beam blinded him. Not all vampires turned to dust in bright light, and thankfully, Zorgn was one of those vampires. Trying vainly to fly straight with his eyes closed, Zorgn yelled in anger, "Turn that off! Vorite, Sic'em!" Having said thus, Zorgn crashed through the wall of a house in an ungracefull landing.

Out of the shadows slinked Vorite, a fully grown Dark Umbra. Vorite was big for an umbra. He was fully the size of a horse and very mean when his master was attacked. His eyes were hooded in response to the light and his lips were drew back, exposing his huge teeth.

(OOC - read up on vamps... they don't like light, but not all die of it.)

Vernon - June 6, 2005 11:10 PM (GMT)
(Magic light probably wouldn't have uv anyways, which is what is deadly to vampires depending on where you look)

Vernon watched as Kona threw out the turkey. Vernon pulled out his crossbow as he saw Kona advance towards Zorgn. The vampire was intending to blow something up which ultimately would bring an end to Vernon's fun, though it would also be fun to watch the town burn and he simply didn't feel like letting the gaurd take out the vampire who wasn't going to bable away the crimes that needed to be undone. Before he could get a clear shot, his target was enveloped in a magical darkness. Vernon sheilded his eyes as Kona pulled out an annoying light show. The guard would pay for that move. Vernon jumped ontop of one of the tables. His foul aura of stench quickly came back gave a rude awaking to even the drunkest men at the party.

The party had already gone to hell, why not do what he could to make it worse. He spread out his arms after casting a spell and a thin greenish fog quickly spread out from him. It did little to hinder sight, but the poison in the fog made it very difficult. "He is a god," vernon heard one woman cry out admist the chaos of people running. "Chow time, my pets," Vernon smiled before a pack of nine rats led by Ritz crawled from his pack pack and down to the table filled with food. He walked slowly towards Kona putting up his crossbow. His sword hissed like a snake ready to strike as Vernon pulled out his poisoned blade. He was pleased to see that the guard was having a lovely confrontation with an umbra. He stopped. He'd just make sure the Umbra won the fight. He knew the creatures were know for sensitive snouts so he'd knew he'd have to do something about his smell. His stench faded again. It would have hindered the umbra more than the guard for sure.

(Dude, I just said Magical light was not harmful to vampires in a special way. It ussually lacks the uv light found in natural light. Also if a vampire is able to stand natural light, magical light would have no special added effect. Isn't it nice to be misunderstood.)

Nariwa Kona - June 7, 2005 03:39 PM (GMT)
((your right Vernon, it shouldve at least mortally wounded him. Some vampires can stand natural light, but magicall light is beyond all of them, except for the extremely powerfull.))

Kona saw Zorgn scream and crash into the building. "You will feel that for a few days, i garuntee it." Then he saw the Umbra jump out. ~Interesting. Ive been expecting a horse sized Umbra as of late.~ he thought to himself, pulling his katana not in front of him, but behind him. ~The perfect manuver for dealing with Umbras. Curl up into a spring, and when the pounce, unleash your sword, cutting them right in half. works every time. I might have some trouble shrugging it off of me though.~

Then Kona heard some skittering behind him. He look over his shoulder real quick and saw Vernon unleashing his poison cloud, and all the tiny rats coming for him. The smell was bearable, but distracting. ~He wants to finish me off if i win against the Umbra. I wont let that happen. Im more powerfull than these two combined, they cant hope to kill me.~

Zorgn - June 7, 2005 07:45 PM (GMT)
Vorite began slowly advancing on the guard. He knew not to attack instantly, but to wait until victory was assured. His best bet was to back his opponent into the rat-thing and then attack with it (OOC - it being vernon). Using his telepathic abilities, Vorite began projecting raw fear into the guard's mind. Hopefully fear combined with multipule enemies would slow him when the time came to fight.

- - -

I'm pinned to the floor... AND THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!! Zorgn instantly turned cold sober as he recognized this new threat to his life. (OOC - or unlife?) Zorgn threw off a large beam that had pinned him to the floor and stood up. THe keg had leaked as it rolled down a staircase to the bottom floor. The torch had, amazingly, not been put out when he crashed. It had rolled across the floor and into a puddle of beer at the top of the stairs. Even now the flames were racing downstairs to the still mostly filled keg.

Zorgn ran as fast as he could towards the gaping hole in the wall. He flung himself out, forgetting to use his wings, and fell to the pavement below as the keg exploded. A wall fell outward from the blast, spreading the flames to another home.

(OOC - It's not a big explosion, the home contained it, but you get out of a house that has live explosives as quick as possible.)

Vernon - June 7, 2005 09:13 PM (GMT)
(you can hear skittering over people screaming and running about? ) Vernon noticed that the umbra wasn't attacking right away. It infact seemed to move the gaurd back against the tables and to Vernon. The crowd was no longer in the way. They did not want to get in the way tobe inside the toxic cloud and they did not want to do near the umbra. A few dead bodies lay here and there, along with a few trying to fight off the toxin with little avail. Some where trampled in the crazy to get away. The night had turned out fairly well as far as Vernon was concerned, just one last thing needed to do to make it better.

Vernon walked causually along the table towards Kona. "Aww... Ain't that cute. He wants to share. I'm sure he'll change his mind after your dead," Vernon laughed to Kona over the dispersed crowd. "Maybe if you play dead he'll consider playing with you rather than eating you," Vernon snickered as he dropped the drumstick and pulled out one of his daggers.

Nariwa Kona - June 8, 2005 05:27 AM (GMT)
(you have to remeber i have quite an advantage ove you, being a half celestial all my senses are above that of a normal human.)

The umbra was trying to pry into Konas mind, but Kona kept on resisting it. It was exploring his mind, looking for something he feared to expound apon it, but every time the umbra found a new way inside, Kona would twist and turn on it. Hearing what Vernon said made Kona laugh for some reason. He wasnt sure why.

"Very well." the umbra advanced even more, and immediatly Kona sprung as it stepped closer, slashing fowrad with his sword. "Every time, a sure hit." he said, as he extended his hand backwards at the same time and blasted a flood of light energy at Vernon.

Zorgn - June 8, 2005 03:37 PM (GMT)
(OOC - that's powerplaying a bit dude... nothing is sure in a battle.)

Vorite leapt to the right, the blade gashing his dark coat and starting a slow well of blood from the wound. Before the blade had even finished it's swing, darkness enveloped them both and Vorite sprang for the man's throat. Nothing but the man's blood would satisfy Vorite. Nobody had defeated him, for defeat is when you die.

(OOC - why did you say i was on fire? i'm not...)

Nariwa Kona - June 8, 2005 05:38 PM (GMT)
((i know your not on fire, but Kona has assumed you are, since you were in the giant explosion.))

Kona felt the sword make contact with the Umbra as it attempted to dodge his blade. HE felt some warm blood on his face, and then darkness. "I have broken through once, i can do it again!" he said, ducking just in case the Umbra were to leap at him. Concentrating his light energy once again, he let it loose in a massive ball of light, swallowing up the darkness. Now Kona could see the Umbra perfectly, in mid-air. Kona raised his blade again, and struck at the Umbra while dodging the leap.

((im dramatic, but i dont care.))

Geist - June 8, 2005 08:29 PM (GMT)
Geist had been sitting near the Tavern at the time of the explosion. He wasn't sure if the gaurd was either half drunk or half stupid. Full grown Umbras are not a thing to mess with without the proper skills. He shook his head in disbelief from under his cloak's hood as he watched the gaurd break out of the darkness for a second time. Geist never even thought of going for his blades to help the man. He was here for the party after all. Geist took partcilur interest in the rat who had been standing behind the gaurd before the man made his first move against the Umbra.

Geist pulled his mug to his lips and took a long swing without pulling his hood up. He prefered to let it hang over most his face, hiding his facial features which often brought hostility to him. He lowered his mug from his lips while keeping his eyes focused on the action at hand...

Vernon - June 9, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
(Finer sense would mean that both sounds would be louder  )
Vernon closed is eyes and sheild them with his sword arm as he saw Kona throw back his hand which which quickly began to emit a bright light. The wretched gaurd was going to pay for that one too. There was relief after the light was cut off. Vernon shook his head as his eyes quickly read justed to the lighting.

He held out hit his hand with the dagger and pointed at the mass of darkness which even his natural darkvision could not penitrate. He expected Kona to pull another light show and dispell the globe of darkness. As if on cue Kona did so and Vernon had a clear sight of his target. A bright green ray issued from Vernon's pointed finger and homed in on it's target with alarming speed. The spell was weaken and would give the umbra a big advantage as he would not be able to strike with his normal strength. It wouldn't last long, but it would be enough for the umbra to get in a few hits.

Zorgn - June 9, 2005 04:36 PM (GMT)
Vorite twisted in mid-leap and batted the sword away almost playfully. He landed on his paws and rushed the man once again. It was really annoying that the man could move fast enough to cast spells, dodge, and swing a sword in the instant it took him to leap at his throat. Few beings could move so fast, and concentrate on casting a spell at the same time. Either this man was very good, or was quickly running out of energy.

- - -

Zorgn rose from the pavingstones with a sigh. He'd blacked out, but he did not know for how long. The flames had not spread to too many houses, so he guessed it was not long. The battle is over... There. Right where I left it, good.

Zorgn drew his dagger in his right hand and readied a Dispell Magic spell in the other. Any light spells would be stopped before they were more than a quick flash. Zorgn shook himself and began flying torward the battle. He ignored the pain all over him as he flew. He didn't have time to bleed, only to kill.

Geist - June 10, 2005 02:55 AM (GMT)
Geist brought his mug to his lips and took a long drink as the watched the events unfolding before his eyes. He brought it away from his mouth and wiped some spilled beer of his lips with the back of his hand as he took in the fact that both the rat, and the winged creature both shared a weakness to Light. Geist looked at the rat creature closer as he unleashed a green beam of energy from his finger. Geist pulled his head up a little to get a better glance at the spell as it homed in on the guard with alarming speed.

"Weaken, no doubt." Geist thought with a smirk. He brought his mug back up to his face and took another swing of it, before lowering it back down. "Hoping to let the Umbra get in a couple swipes at the guard... clever." He noticed the Umbras movements, but paid no mind. Giving something such as a Umbra a least bit of thought could very well have one prying into your mind.

Geist watched the fire with a curious eye as several villagers began to rush at it with pales of water in hope of putting it out. Geist shrugged and turn his attention to the creature with the large wings as he began to take flight again. He noticed blood dripping from the flying creature as he began to summon an orb of magic in his left hand, and with his right he readied his dagger. Geist smirked as he playfully raised his hand and pointed his index finger infront of the creature, holding the finger as he flew.

"I wonder what effect this would have." Geist smirked and his eyes shown brightly temporaly before a bright beam of light shot from his finger and flew towards it's target, which was right infront of the fly vampire. Geist wondered what effect it would have on him. "Cause and effect..." Geist mumbled with a grin...

Nariwa Kona - June 10, 2005 02:36 PM (GMT)

Kona knew what the umbra was thinking. "Hard to beleive, isnt it? That i have such great endurance? This is what makes me so infamous and famous. I can last almost forever, my energy is nearly limitless. Yes, even i have my ends, but you leading me to them is something i doubt will happen." suddenly, he felt something caress his back. Kona turned immiedatly and saw the green beam, and felt his body fighting against it. It was no use, it overcame him, and he felt weaker, less than normal. "You wretched thing! You have reduced me to the strength of a mere human! You will pay for this dearly!" Before the spell could take full effect, Kona charged at Vernon and unleashed his Lightning Sword, and shouted "Summon lightning strike!" The sky above grew dark, and a beam of lightning started speeding towards Vernon at the same time Kona was in mid-air going for a slash at him, as if the Lightning and Kona were striking as one.

(I have a feeling somebody mentioned me being able to use it since i purhcased it, even though it isnt in my inventory or sumthin. If that isnt so, please disregard that last manuver.)

Zorgn - June 10, 2005 04:06 PM (GMT)
(OOC - you forgot the rather large Umbra rushing at you, and turned your back on him. very dumb move. )

The light dissapated in front of Zorgn. His spell had worked, but to little avail. His nightvision had been messed up and it would take a moment for him to recover it. Zorgn landed and walked on towards his prey, the man with the light show would have to wait. The guard was more of a problen.

Zorgn saw Vorite leap at the back of the jumping guard. It looked like Vorite was going to impact him before he could hit the rat. If the rat could dodge the lightning, he might be in the clear. Zorgn doubted that the man could do much of anything about it.

(OOC - I can't say Vorite hit you, that'd be power-playing, but unless you pull something unexpected I can't see how you're going to avoid having Vorite stop you from hitting Vernon. If he does hit you, you are the one who must say so...)

Nariwa Kona - June 14, 2005 03:13 AM (GMT)
((i leave these blunders in posts for others to find, and gauge the observiness of my enemies/allies to see what i can pull off. you apparantley are very observant.)

The umbra had attached itself to Konas back, clawing furiously. The electric tendrils of his aura were scraping at it, but to no avail. Kona ignored it, staying focused on Vernon. ~I need to kill or injure this person, or i may not survive and find myself in balefire or the underoworld, unless the new god of light has mercy over me.~

(sorry for short post, im tired. :( )

Vernon - June 14, 2005 10:18 PM (GMT)
Vernon readied himself as Kona rushed towards him. Vernon would have tooken the man as doubtlessly insane if Vernon hadn't left the cloud of poison, though the fool still was giving a back atack to an umbra. Perhaps he didn't know that umbra did well in taking them.

Kona's leap in the air gave him a good amount of time to evade the attack. Vernon threw his shadow dagger at Kona's midsection as he moved out of the way of the attack. Kona would be able to really dodge it given that he was in the air and without wings. While Vernon had evaded the sword, the lighting struck Vernon's tail before hitting the ground. Vernon's fur puffed out, making him look Like a scared cat. That hurt and Vernon would make sure he repaid the favor to Kona, though if the dagger hit Kona, the poison would do the job well. It was capable of killing in 15 minutes if no treatment was made and it would hurt him much worse than the weaken spell had, though that spell would soon be fading. Vernon swiftly pulled off another dagger from his side and readied to join the Umbra, if the umbra would leave room for him to attack safely.

Nariwa Kona - June 15, 2005 04:49 PM (GMT)
Kona could take the Umbras wieght no longer. Sinking out of the air, and feeling even weaker from losing blood, Kona was pleased that the rat-creature had gotten zapped by the lightning. "Ooof!" he siad as he hit the ground, and the Umbra bit his shoulder and wouldnt let go. Kona saw a shadow dagger fly over his head, and head straight for Zorgn. "Not only are you trying to kill the Son of Light, you would kill your own ally! How ungracefull!" he said, as he finally broke free of the umbras mouth. He grabbed his lightning sword and said "If i also have to be struck as my father was, let it be so! Summon Lightning Strike!" he said, as he slashed at the Umbra in another attempted double-strike.

Zorgn - June 15, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
Vorite roared in anger as he was slashed and shocked at the same time. The force of the blow knocked him off the guard and slid him across the paving stones. He tried to rise, but fell back weakly. The lightning had sealed the wound from the sword, but left the umbra drained of energy. He'll live. The guard will not, however.

Zorgn snatched the dagger out of the air, hilt first. He had planned to draw his other dagger, but since the rat had so nicely loaned him a weapon it would be a shame not to use it.

Zorgn was ready to add another complication to the guard's life. The flames were spreading through the town, but they were doing it too slowly. He had decided a while back to speed the processs up. "Let the fireworks begin! I summon meteors!"

The sky tinted red as small flaming rocks fell from the sky in a hellish parody of rain. They pounded the streets and houses, starting fires where ever fuel met flame. On impacting the street, the meteors smashed into thousands of pieces too small to be noted. As the rocks fell, zorgn advanced on the guard, wary of the rocks above.

(OOC - I know this is dangerous not only to Kona, but to Vernon, Giest, me, and whoever else shows up.)

Nariwa Kona - June 16, 2005 03:53 PM (GMT)
(as long as you understand the consequences. :) )

Kona stood up, and began trying hi best to dodge the bigger meteors, there was no sense in dodging the smaller ones, they would only bruise. "It seems i cna no longer do anything to help this town, as i have noticed that the other guards are running in fear at some flaming rocks." he siad, as he pointed to the guards running away screaming. "Weak mortals." No l,onger thinking of his own safety, he immediatly started to co-erse the villagers to leave. Some were reluctant, but others gladly obliged. Soon everyone was leaving, although a few were killed, and everone by now was injured. "Oof!" he said, as one rock hit his shoulder. He took of his backpack and put it on his head to sheild it. Seeing that the umbra was in too much pain to fight for now, he turned his attention to Zorgn.

~Maybe if i summon enough lightning, i will encourage a rain storm to douse this fire. i can only hope.~

"Summon lightning!" he shouted, the elctric charge winding around his blade. he made several swipes in the air, continuing as more and more lightning strikes started to hit the pavement, a few headed in Zorgns direction.

Geist - June 17, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
Geists eyes widened as he saw monsterous meteors rain from the sky at the flying creatures command. "BULLOCKS! THE FOOL!" cursed Geist under his breath as he stood from his chair and stepepd aside as a meteor crashed into it. 'So much for my night out on the town.'[/i] he thought. Geist didn't have much more time to think as his reflexs responded and leaped back in time as another meteor crashed right where he had been standing. Geists fursturation grew as another meteor crashed feet away from him to his left.

"YOU FOOL! YOU MAY HAVE AS WELL KILLED US ALL!" Geist screamed at the creature. Geist did not have much time to act as he noticed another meteor heading his way, he quickly ducked and rolled forwarded as the meteor crashed where he used to stand. He glared at the smoldering crater behind him before turning to another meteor headed his way. Geist quickly jerked his upper torso back and flipepd his feet over and landed safely away from the meteor only to have anotehr crash right in front of him!

Geist was thrown backwards and through a door of a now flaming two story house. Seconds later a meteor screamed from the heavens and crashed into the cneter of a house that sent a ground shaking explosion throught the village as various bottles of ale and the likes, that had been stored for use that night at the party, exploded with Geist inside the building. All the windows burst out as before the second floor began to collaspe on the first. Luckily Geists body was seen hurling from the doorway in the mass of the explosion and thrown into the center of town.

Geist laid on the ground groaning while slowly pushing himself to his hands and knees as various amount of meteors exploded around him while townspeople ran aroudn screaming like chickens with their heads cut off. Somewhere Geist managed to throw off his cloak and lift himself to his feet. "If it's a fight you want, then so be it, meteors be damned, a fight you shall have!" Geist roared as he unseathed his dual Elven Sabres and quickly crossed them above his head that slit a incoming meteor intwo a split second before it could touch Geists head.

Each half hit near Geist and sent mortor flying but he ignored it and quickly stepped into the circle near teh Guardsman. He looked at the Rat before turning away, his fight was not with him. Geist turn his right Sabre to the flying creature before turning his left to the Umbra. Geist closed his eyes as he focused and seconds later stremas of bright light ran from his hands to the ends of his Sabres and began to take the shapes of small orbs of insanley bright light of the tips. He opened his eyes to reveal their bright blue color to be shining with it's own amount of bright blinding light only blue.

Within Minutes Geist had shaped himself into a figure that looked much like a angel of vegeance, only lacking wings. Tho he was not an angel, it did not matter btu teh power he shared with the moon with was reflecting large amounts of light towards his shining eyes, stenghting his light attacks. It could clearly be shown that his light attacks were growing stronger as the streams of light from his hands to his blades did not stop, and the orbs only grew bigger. What would their first move be, Geist could not predict cause his mind was only on the Moon...

Nariwa Kona - June 17, 2005 02:22 PM (GMT)
"It is about time you did something" shouted Kona at Giest. Kona got a good look at his face and immediatly knew that Geist wasnt listening but concentrating on his energy source. The light didnt bother Kona at all, it made him feel comfortable. Kona turned around and continued his slashing motion summoning up even more storm clouds and lightning strikes, some headed and striking around Vernon, and others at Zorgn.

By now Konas entire body was aching, and his backpack would soon catch fire or fall to pieces. ~I have to think, or remember something to protect myself before i get kiled. Maybe i can find it in myself to use the Shield of Faith? I can only hope so...~

Kona started concentrated, trying to find the power inside to unleashe the spell he used to use so often in the battles above and below. Still keeping his mind on summoning more lightning, it was hard to do.

Zorgn - June 18, 2005 07:00 PM (GMT)
Zorgn leapt to the left and dodged a blast of lightning. A meteor nearly landed on him, but once again his speed saved him. Zorgn was begining to feel the strain of dodging all the flaming missles and lightning. His cloak had began to smoke earlier, but all his jumping around seemed to have extinguished it.

"Your pathetic light shows annoy me to no end! Have you no honor? Attempting to blind an enemy so you can kill him. You fight unfairly, so I shall too!" Zorgn pointed his finger at the bright man and uttered the words of his spell. The man suddenly burst into searing flames.

(OOC - it says i can make you on fire geist, so on fire you shall be.)

Vernon - June 18, 2005 11:40 PM (GMT)
Things quickly started getting out of hand. Shortly after Zorgn casted his spell he felt several small feet crawling up his legs and swiftly making their way to his backpack. They had probably noticed the flaming meteors and were making their way to him, which was smart despite the fact of Vernon being caught up in a fight. It would be difficult for them to find any other route to safety. There was no cover nearby that would save them from the flaming rocks.

Vernon couldn't continue in the fight and keep his little rats in the middle of all the danger, but still he hated leaving the Vampire to fight off the two foolish good-doers. Perhaps he'd come back after seeing that his rats were safe. He figured he couldn't leave with out first giving a parting gift. Admist the dodging lightning bolts and flaming rocks. Vernon did his best to quickly cast a spell. Upon completion a green cloud swiftly spread out over the area. It was another poison cloud. He knew that it would take more than lack of the abiltiy to breath kill a Vampire, but the other two who seemed to be humans or something close to a human in Kona's case. The poison would make it difficult to breath and would be even more effective than the cloud he had unleashed upon the unsupecting party-goers. Fighting and dodging brought much more need for breathing. With his spell cast Vernon swiftly turned around and swiftly began his exit from Kellen.
