Title: Alone and raining

Veronna Darkblade - May 19, 2005 01:27 AM (GMT)
Veronna was sitting in one of the stands alone. No one was there practicing, and there were no tournaments this day. She looked around the arena and sighed; she loved this place, and always would, but now she looked at it differently. She didn't know why it seemed so different, not much had changed, except she was married now.
She stood and walked through the sits, then she started walking down the stairs to the arena. She reached the sand of the arena with her feet and smiled; this was her home.

She drew her scimitars and looked at them; they were new ones from Ocar, and they were wonderful. She then looked up and started walking again, and didn't stop till she was in the center of the arena. She stood there, just thinking. She looked up at the sky, it was grey, and it looked like it might rain. She then looked at the entrance of the arena, wishing someone would come. She felt like having a quick spar with someone.

Veronna started swinging her scimitars around, in an elegant style. She then started moving with them, in a dance like pattern. She was trained the art of draa velve, which was a drow fighting style.

She practiced for about ten minutes then she stopped as rain began to pour from the sky. Her hair which was down became matted down by the rain, and it started to soak through her cloths. She was glad she left her chain mail at home, for she hated being wet while wearing armor.

She sheathed her scimitars and started walking to one of the entrances for shelter. She would stay out longer if she really had something to do out there. If she wanted to practice she could go to her temple and do it in doors. She walked in to the entrance and put her back to the wall and sat down. She didn't feel like going to her temple, she almost prefered it here. She normally called this home instead of her temple.

Veronna wished looked to her for help, or wisdom of the blade, but many just ignored her. She didn't mind all that much, but she wished to help people out sometimes. She wasn't sure if it was her attitude that made people stay away or if it was that no one heard of her.

She closed her eyes and she slowly felt herself falling asleep.

(i dunno if this is open or not, so ive it isnt im sorry)

Konshomsru had been on patrol, going past the stadium. He had known it was going to rain soon, he could feel it. Whenever there was a storm he could feel the fury building up inside of him, and the slight rainshowers calmed him. He loved it. Passing one of the entrances, he saw Veronna sitting there asleep, and stopped to look at her. He smiled and said "Happy wedding day," he said. "I have no gifts for you, i am poor. Please forgive me." Digging in his pockets for something, he found a few coins. Sneaking up to her, he set them next to her hunched form, still sleeping. "This is all i have on me" he whispered, and then walked back out itno the rain, smiling again, and layed down on the ground. ~If only there were some lighting, i could put on a show for her. Im not powerfull enough to make my own yet.~

(This is an open topic, if it weren't I would have put [p] or Private, so yes it is quite all right to join.)

Veronna heard someone approach but she didn't move; she did not want to startle this person. She heard who ever it was lay something next to her adn she heard the person walk away. After she was sure the person had gone a little ways away she opened her eyes and looked at what was laid before her. She smiled to herself and picked the coins up and looked at them; it was amazing someone reconized her.

It was not her wedding day today, but it was just a day before. She stood and brushed herself off, then turned to where she heard the person walk too. She walked forward till she was outside and she saw the person laying on the ground. She had never really met him, but she knew who he was. She saw him looking up at the sky, and she looked up also. "It would be dryer inside you know" she then looked down at him, not glaring or smiling, but something more in between. "I also believe these are yours." She tossed the coins on the ground next to him, with a few more then when he laid them next to her.

She did not want this mortals money, she did not want his sympathy, all she wanting was for someone to respect her, and this man did. Many who confront her believe they are better or just as good, but normally she showed them otherwise, it was amazing that this man did not act that way. She turned and started walking back to the arena, but stopped after a few steps. "If you wish a quick spar just come to the arena." With that she kept walking until she was in the entrance. She hoped that he would come, though she unsure if he would.

Kona was reminiscing about his times in the plane of angels. How he missed being there. Then, Veronna came by and spoke to him. He hears the coins hit the ground, sounding a bit heavier than the first time he had given them to her. Rising and walking to the arena entrance, he unsheathed his sword and reaied himself. "On gaurd" he said.
