The sun was quickly fading behind the high peaks of the Gwilikith Mountain Range; as the light faded, so did Kyonis's hopes of survival.
It had been four days since Kyonis had escaped the band of trolls which had held him captive for nearly six months; as far as Kyonis knew, he was the only one from his ambushed caravan that remained alive.
Kyonis's breathing came in short, rapsy gasps as he slid down a rocky decline, his heels digging deep into the rocks in a futile attempt to stablilize his descent. The trolls were not within sight, but Kyonis could feel their dark presence. They were not far away.
It had been two days since Kyonis had slept, and three since he had received water. Kyonis continued to run purely on adrenaline, and the vague hope that Kyonis could escape.
Kyonis could see the end of the Gwilikith Range in the far distance. Beyond that, safety. If Kyonis could reach the end of the mountains before the trolls reached him, Kyonis might have a chance of survival.
Angoles was flying toward the area where Kyosis was, he looked around and saw trolls searching for something. If I know from experience, Trolls are usually only smart enough to search for a prisoner of theirs, Someone must be trying to get away from the trolls, and trolls are usually evil, so I might as well kill them.He dived at the trolls with his dagger out ready and hoped his friend was still on his back. He was then in striking range of the trolls and attempted hard to stab one of them in the heart.
After that, he landed on the ground, "I'll just say this in the most simple way for you to understand, You dirty bunch of trolls, me kill you all."said Angoles to the trolls, he then took his friend off his back, "Friend, lets play destroy all of these trolls."He then jumped into to the air and flew low over the ogres swings at there neck.
"Friend, take care of any other trolls that come and ones that survive, I'll look for their prisoner and bring him or her to safety, anyways trolls usually just look for a prisoner of theirs."He then speeded away from the trolls looking around for anybody. Soon after, he found someone on the mountain. "I suggest you come with me, I think trolls are after you, so it would be wise."said Angoles in serious and kind tone to Kyonis.
Kyonis almost laughed when he heard the words "I think trolls are after you"... as if he didn't know.
Kyonis nodded in thanks, slowly turning to follow this stranger. Now that Kyonis had stopped running, his legs felt weak and wobbly, and his head spun wildly. Kyonis was afraid he might collapse, or perhaps vomit. He quickly kneeled down and placed a hand upon the ground to steady himself.
As soon as the world stopped pitching and rolling, Kyonis again stood and followed the strange creature Kyonis had happened upon.
