Title: Home Sweet Home
Tamuril - April 8, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
With an early morning breeze blowing into the stone house found within the Norwood Forest, Tamuril's eyes fluttered gently as she slowly began to wake with the morning breeze. Yawning she smiled at her husband Skorne who she was cuddled extermely close to and bead with delight. Kissing him ever so gently as to not wake him the deaf elf slowly rose from her bed and got dressed. Smiling once again at her husband she placed her pillow beside him to take the place of where she had been keeping him warm.
Breathing in a deep breath of the wood's fresh air she headed towards the fire place in the front room where she began to prepare the morning meal of porridge. Little Slasher and their dragon quickly were at her heals touching her as they begged silently to be fed. Laughing at the sight of the as she looked down at them, she walked over to the cabnint and brought out a few strips of dried deer met for the pair. Tossing two slices to each she returned to her cooking.
Dicing and chopping the ingridents of the porridge she tossed them into the large black pot that hung over the unlite fireplace before heading out the door to fetch the water. Picking up the two buckets by the front door Tamuril made her way towards the crystal clear stream. Gathering the water she returned to their lovely little stone house and once again returned to her cooking. Adding the water to the black pot's contence she took a seat upon a stool and picked up her knitting. As she sat there the yarn began to take shape of a pair of little socks.
Skorne - April 8, 2005 08:33 PM (GMT)
Skorne woke up slowly, wanting to sleep some more even though he knew that the sun had already risen. Getting up with a silent groan, he saw that Tamuril had already risen. Swinging his legs out of bed, he stood up, making his way towards the main room. Stretching as he went, he thought about what needed to be done. Some minor work around the house, that was all he could think of at the moment, but he was pretty sure there was something else that could be fixed. Smiling at Tamuril as he saw her, he walked over and gently kissed her on the cheek. Walking over towards a cabinet, he took out two bowls and set them on the counter. He saw that Tamuril had already been out, and walked over to the door. Opening it, he looked out into the forest, guessing how the day would go. It looked like it would be a fair day, so there would be plenty of time to get any outdoor work done.
As he walked toward the main room, something was bugging him. He wasn't sure what it was, and it continued to persist until he finally looked back at Tamuril. For a second, he couldn't spot anything that might have been different, then his eyes rested on what she was knitting. It took a few seconds for him to comprehend what he was seeing, then it fell into place. Standing up swiftly, he stared at Tamuril, practically in shock over what he was seeing, wondering if it was really true. "Does this mean what I think it means?" Skorne spoke quietly through their connection, almost afraid of the answer. All the thoughts for that day had left his mind as he waited, barely breathing as he continued to stare at Tamuril.
Tamuril - April 8, 2005 08:49 PM (GMT)
Tamuril smiled as he greeted her with a morning kiss and began to set up for their breakfest then he stopped staring at her. She bit her lower lip as he stared at her like that and as Skorne asked her in a voice filled with worried she looked down a look of utter sadness upon her face. She replied through their mind connection with a "I believe so Skorne... I am with child... your child."
She looked up at him afraid of the look that she would be given by Skorne at this news. Tears were building up in her orbs as he just continued to stand there breathing. "I had hoped you would be happy." she whispered through their connection and seeing that he was not she stood and ran out the door. Dropping the knitting as she ran through the Norwood forest she headed back towards the gently flowing water she waded into it and shoved her head under the water without taking a breath. If he was not happy with her having a child she would not have the child but it would be the cost of her own life.
Skorne - April 8, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
Skorne was surprised when he saw the tears building up in her eyes. He started forward when she ran and chased after her, confused as to why she was running. Losing sight of her for an instant, he ran faster, suddenly catching up to her at the river. He had thoguht that he had been moving quickly when he had been chasing her, but he moved twice as fast to reach down and pull her out of the river. With a frightened look, he knelt down next to her, wrapping his arms around her so that she couldn't run off again. Kissing her on the lips, he picked her up as though weighed no more than a feather and began walking back toward their house. Looking down at Tamuril, he spoke to her softly, not wanting her to run off again. "What is wrong my love? Please tell me why you ran."
Skorne was frightened, unsure of why Tamuril would try to kill herself when she had such a joyous reason to stay alive. Upon thinking about that, something she had said came to mind. "That's it isn't it? You didn't think that I was happy with the news. Let me tell you, I am happy, but I was surprised, and I didn't know what to think." Still walking as he talked, he quickly made it back to their house. The door was still open, and Skorne walked inside, setting Tamuril down in one of the chairs. Crouching down next to her, he looked into her eyes, very serious at the moment. "Look at me, and tell me that I'm not happy."
Tamuril - April 9, 2005 12:23 AM (GMT)
Tamuril first tried to pull away as he pulled her from the water, but as he kissed her fully upon the lips and gave her the look of being extermly scard she realized that Skorne may not be happy about the coming of their child but he still loved her. Holding onto him just as tightly she rested her head upon his shoulder as he carried her back home yet said not a word until he asked her while kneeling before her to tell him he was not happy about the coming of the baby.
As Skorne held Tamuril's hand she turned away for a moment not looking at him as many thoughts flashed through her mind. Turning back to return his gaze into each other's eyes she whispered in a voice barely to be heared through their connection, "The look... the look upon your face when you asked me if it was what you thought.... it just looked so unhappy.... possibly even anger... it gave the impression you did not want to be a father yet or possibly never... I never want to bring you trouble or unhappiness so if you do not wish for me to bare this child Skorne.... Tell me now and I will rid myself and this world of the child at the cost of my own life if need be."
Tears were once again streaming down her palid colored face as she continued to gaze into Skorne's eyes waiting for his answer to her statement. She prayed with all her heart that he would say he wanted her to live even if it meant her having the child and possibly giving it up. All Tamuril was worried about at the moment was that and that her beloved husband Skorne her life was happy. Breathing in a deep breath while shaking from cold she waited still her hair and clothing dripping with the water she had attempted to drown herself in. "Please tell me what you want me to do Skorne... Please I am begging you" she said as she pleeded with him to answer her.
Skorne - April 9, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
Skorne gave a sigh of relief, it had been a misunderstanding, nothing more. Taking Tamuril's face in his hands, he pulled her close, looking into her eyes. "I was not upset, I was surprised. This is a happy occasion, and it took me by surprise." Holding Tamuril close, he stood up, smiling at her. Walking over to the fireplace, he swiftly filled a bowl full of porridge and carried it back to Tamuril. "Come on, you need to eat, and you need to get out of those wet clothes, don't want you getting sick." With a smile, he handed her the bowl, trying to return to a normal day after this brief interruption. Still, he would have to watch her closely. If Tamuril had her way, she would keep doing everything the same, despite the fact that she was with child. Looks like Skorne would be doing more housework. Even the prospect of that failed to take away his cheerful mood this morning.
Skorne stood next to Tamuril, holding her hand in his own. He was already wondering about the child. This would end up being a learning process, one that he hoped to enjoy. He had never really given fatherhood much prospect, but now it was thrown into view with this new information. "Don't worry, everything will be fine. Now I have even more reason to protect you and help you in any way." Pulling her to her feet, he flashed her a quick smile before taking on a halfway serious tone. "Now, go change clothes, you'll freeze wearing those." With a shooing motion, he pushed her toward the bedroom, smiling once again at her.
Tamuril - April 9, 2005 11:22 AM (GMT)
With bowl in hand and dripping wet clothes Tamuril soon found herself being pushed into the bedroom. Smiling softly she turned around and went back for skorne who was also in wet clothing. Placing her bowl down on the table she took hold of both his hands in hers and dragged him back to their bedroom with her. "You need to change to Skorne. I am not the only one who is dripping wet." She said a gently smile playing upon her face.
With both of them still in their wet clothes Tamuril throw her arms around Skorne's neck and kissed him fully upon the lips. Looking into his eyes with her own love filled ones she said in a voice filled with relife, "I am glad you are happy my love... I am also happy about the coming of our child...." Kissing him once again upon his tender lips she slowly pulled away.
Walking over to their dresser she pulled out her extra dress and under clothes along with Skorne's white shirt, leather pants. Placing his upon the bed she nodded to him smiling before changing out of her own wet clothing and into the warm dry clothing. Turning back to her husband she gently kissed him upon the cheek before heading out of their bedroom and back into the main room.
Upon entering the main room of the house she saw to her dismay that Slasher had wanted to see what porridge teasted like. Sighing at the sight of the little kitt up to his elbows in their breakfest she called to her love in a laughing voice, "Come see our little Slasher please. "The kit had climbed into the pot above the fire place and was swimming in their meal as he ate his fill.
Skorne - April 9, 2005 02:17 PM (GMT)
Skorne followed after Tamuril with a smile, glad that things were back to normal. Looking down at his own clothes, he realized that she was right, he hadn't even noticed that he had gotten wet from the river. Skorne returned Tamuril's kiss, feeling happier than ever before, he was going to be a father. He followed after Tamuril and picked up his own dry clothes, pulling off his dripping shirt and letting it drop to the floor for now. He pulled the dry shirt over his head in it's place, smiling at Tamuril as she left. When he was done changing, he heard Tamuril calling to him. Picking up his wet clothes, he headed toward the main room. He almost laughed when he caught sight of Slasher eating the porridge, even though it meant they would have to get some more food. "Well, you can't blame him for wanting some good food."
With a smile, he walked over to the pot and gently picked up Slasher. It was a funny sight, the kit was covered in porridge. Carrying him carefully, he took him outside and set him down. Picking up one of the buckets that Tamuril had used that morning, he made his way quickly to the stream and collected some water. On his way back, Slasher met him halfway. Apparently, the kit hadn't felt like staying in one place. Now however, he was covered with dirt. With a soft chuckle, he picked up Slasher with his free hand and carried him back to the house. Pouring the water into a small wooden trough, he deposited Slasher in the water. "I think the next time you make porridge, one of us should stay next to the pot at all times."
Tamuril - April 10, 2005 02:12 AM (GMT)
Standing at the window Tamuril leaned upon the window pane watching the sceen of the kit and Skorne fighting each other about who would be getting the bath. Laughing at the sight of her husband fighting with the fur ball of a creature she walked out of the house a smile playing upon her face.
Picking up the extra bucket she walked down to the stream herself and brought it back filled to the brim with the cold water. Giggling softly to herself she walked behind her husband and dumped the water on both washing Slasher clean and soaking Skorne.
Breaking out into laugher of happiness she kissed her husband upon the lips before winking at him and running back towards the stream in hopes he would follow. Tamuril was in a mood for teasing and playing and with it being such a lovely warm day she thought that being in the water would be a wonderful idea. Still laughing she ran all they way to the water and into it as she waited for Skorne to take the bait and follow.
Skorne - April 10, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
Skorne hadn't been expecting a bath that soon, and he would have to admit that it did feel nice having the water dumped on him. He let out a shout of mock protest, before giving chase. He ran swiftly through the forest, taking a different route to the stream than normal, he didn't want to be seen by Tamuril before he could surprise her. Slowing down as he got closer to the stream, he made his way silently through the underbrush to the water's edge. Making sure that Tamuril wasn't in sight, he slipped into the water, gathering a large breath before going under the surface. He would have a surprise for Tamuril if that was the mood that she was in. If it hadn't been for the fact that he was underwater, he would have been laughing
Up ahead, he caught sight of Tamuril, waiting in the water for him. This was the part where he would be careful, the water wasn't that deep, and he didn't want to be spotted. Moving slowly, he kept close to the bottom, pulling himself along at a walking pace. When he was within arms reach, he reached out carefully, not wanting to alert her to early. Getting his feet under him, he pushed up quickly, grabbing her around the waste so that she was lifted up with him. Planting a quick kiss on her cheek, he smiled at her, laughing.
Tamuril - April 12, 2005 06:37 PM (GMT)
Screaming in delight and surprise she wrapped her arms around her husband planting a kiss in return on his cheek. Beaming at him she looked into his eyes as she spunn her around as if she was as light as a feather.
Cuddling close loving the feeling of being held so close to him and being spun around she kissed him again but this time on the lips. Kissing him again and again she looked at him with love filled eyes as if he was the only person in the world who mattered to her. That was mainly true but now she had love also for the child that grew within her. Kissing her husband yet again she sighed with delight being so wrapped up in the moment gently pressed her face into his neck.
