Li Chen had been circling the town center, entering the small crafting shops, pubs, and checking out the Inns and bakeries that surrounded it. He stopped to rest at the peaceful town of Kellen upon sighting it while flying above searching for a sword that had been discarded by the Fire God many years previous having been forged his better sword and new favorite toy. However worthless the God thought it be, it had become a a deadly powerful gift to the realm beneath the Gods and Li was going to have it.
Ahh...Wow, I needed this break for a long time... Li thought to himself. He had become so relaxed in this place, however he was growing bored with this town. He took a deep breath, taking in the smell of life with which the town was filled and it calmed him. Yet again he soon grew restless and decided that a walk would do him good.
Li walked toward the town entrance, passing by the Inns, bakeries, small shops and venders. Mortals live such a simple life... How lucky they are, and they don't even know. He thought to himself as he neared the entrance. Finally the dirt road began where the soft, red brick road of the town ended. He was passing the last rusted iron sign, hinting there was some form of life nearby, as a wind blow over him. Li Paused to absord the cool touch of it. He closed his eyes, remembering his old town and its people. He sighed, They were nothing like the people of Kellen... So unaccepting...but...I dont know why..but... I think I miss them... and he thought of the name he had acquired by the town, Fi Wice, Hahaha, I will never understand the thoughts of these mortals. With that, Li shook all other thoughts of this out of his head.
Just then he looked up and noticed the small, hidden path on the side of the road from which he had earlier emerged after landing and transforning to his human form so as to not frighten and bring chaos to the city with his elemental form. Li decided he would go to the small opening of grass which this path lead to in order to practice his fighting skills that he had been negleticting for far to long. He crawled though the brush hiding the small field of grass within the forest surrounding Kellen.
Once Li was inside, he took out his worn leather practice gloves and went through the most basic slashes ans chops with them. Eventually he went on to more detailed rolls, dives, and spins. While in the middle of one of the most complex combination dances he knew, Li paused immediately mid-slash. A noise had just came from a bush nearby. Why hadn't I sensed the presence of someone nearby earlier? how long had they been watching? Li thought to himself..
