Title: Dancing in the Flames

Solara Embersia - April 3, 2005 10:31 PM (GMT)
Solara stretched her shoulders by rolling them back and forth at the side of the stage while holding her staff in her right hand. Her neck was still tight from sleeping on the hard ground the night before, but she had worked the kink out enough that it would not bother her in her performance about to commense. She desperately hoped that she would do well tonight. She needed the money dearly. Her hopes were deeper than the call of gold, even though it would be nice to sleep in a bed. She had not had the comforts of even a haystack for about a week. Shaking her thoughts off, she had to return to the present and focus on her movements in the next few minutes.

Both sides of her staff covered in slow-burning wick, she dipped each side in a small iron pot of lamp-oil. It would burn cool and prevent any accidents so long as the fuel remained. With a series of very quick spins infront of her body, drops of excess oil were tossed away so that they would not drip down during her dance and hinder her grip. With the aid of a lamp, the ends were ignited and she began.

The performance went very well, the staff cooperating and spinning as it should have. In the confines of the Inn, the sound of the fire fighting the wind as Solara danced with her staff was loud and distinct. She carried the staff behind her body and over her head, between her legs, and across the stage in intricate patterns. She was glad to have been able to afford her close-fitting and inflammable leather pants and vest, even if they were both aging. With heavy breath, she took her bow and smothered the flames on her staff, moving over to an empty table during the mixed applause. Hopefully someone would be kind enough to tip her.

Fi Wice - April 3, 2005 11:19 PM (GMT)
Li Chen, a foreigner known previously in his old village as Fi Wice, had been siiting in the back of the room watching the intricate spins and the whirling of fire. Being an elemental, he had tried very hard through the whole preformance to keep his fire-controlling powers within himself. The woman spinning and dancing this beauty that was a part of him took each step gracefully decided each movement quickly and executed them beautifully. he could not help but wonder who this woman was. Could she to share the gift he did? how else could she minipulate the fire so majestically? When Li finally noticed the dance had ended, he saw her taking a table within the pub and worked up the courage to go sit with her.

Once he reached her he first decided to tip her and quickly, offered it to her and said, "Hello, my name is Li Chen, but some call me Fi, that wus a magnificent proformance! May I take a seat?"

Finduilas - April 3, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
Finduilas watched from a table in the courner of the tavern pleased for once to not be at her normal tavern, the one she worked at. Sighing with seceret delight as she saw a young man apporch the flame dancer and take a seat, she remember how she had meet Gibbon. It had been in a much different way yet still no matter how you met someone it was a wonderful even. Shaking her head to releave it of her own magical memories she stood and walked towards the pair.

Pulling for her skirt a few silver coins she layed them on the table of the couple and said in a gently voice, "Buy yourselves a drink on me." With a think towards Fi and a smile towards Solara, Fin returned to her seat in the courner.
