Zeria had just finished brushing down the horses, giving them water, and just generally doing her job. After the rather unexpected incident involving what Zeria though was a theif, not much of interest had happened. The wolf was alongside her tonight, simply because no matter how much the owners of the horses felt at unease, Zeria generally got her work done better with the companion around. Besides, Xandarick would never hurt anyone, not unless they tried to attack Zeria.
Her work finished, for the tiem being, Zeria leaned back against a post, and drew one of her swords. turnign the blade over in her hand, she found herself trying to remember the past, even though no matter how hard she tried she could not remember anything short of her name. It bothered her, to be unable to remember, but since there was nothing to do about it, she sheathed her blade and started pacing about. If not out of boredom than just to get her mind off things.
Tarì walked into the stables to see a girl pacing. Must be one of the stable hands not knowing what there supposed to do.She sighed and started checking in the horses stalls one by one. Everything seemed in order but there was always something to do.
Are you a stable hand? Would you mind telling me your name and what you have accomplished today? She was polite and tried not to seem intimidating. She just liked to see that everything was done in a timly maner.
Zeria nearly jumped at the sudden voice behind her. Quickly turning around, she gave a short nod at the question. Yes. I am. Zeria glanced off to one side, looking over the horses, double checkign her own work. She didn't turn back to the woamn speaking t oher though. Because no matter how polite or not intimidating anyone seemed, Zeria was not comfortable abround other people. Rather shy actually, and that scar upon her face did not help. "It's Zeria. And I've done ... well everything." She gave a slight shrug.
Tarì raised her eyebrow at the girls shyness. Instead of pressing the matter she walked up and down the rows of horse stalls checking each one carefully. Well you seem to be doing a good enough job but there is always something that needs to be done. Why dont you pull a bail of hay down and then take a horse or tow out for exercise. If you dont mind the company I will join you and help you in your task.
She figured the girl would say no. She didnt seem like the type that liked to be around people. Tarì was determined to make this girl trust and like her. She went to a stall and opened the door letting out a white mare. Holding the horse steady she checked the hooves, noting a rock in the front hoove Tarì took a knife out and removed the rock.
It's not that easy to gain Zeria's trust. It was more than simple shyness that kept her from trusting people. There was ... something else. Something no one could really figure out, and Zeria didn't even know what she was so distrustful of just about everyone. She gave a small nod at the suggestion, and quickly set about doing so. The wolf followed Zeria about as she worked, seeming to ignore Tarì completly.
After pulling down the bale, Zeria walked along the stalls. Stopping in front of a rather large, black mare, Zeria led it out of the stalls. She was familiar with this particular horse. And just a few days ago, it had escaped the stalls. Zeria was quick to catch her though, and brought the mare back to the stables without harm.
