After a long hunting trip in the Woods, Nidia headed towards the nearest village that she could see. This place was called Cascadia, or the Waterfall City. Once inside the city, she heard of a bard singing a song about a Goddess living on top of the Waterfall from outside an opened window of The Broken Strings tavern. She stopped her walking and stepped closer to the window. She peeked into the window and began listening to the bard. The bard’s song was about the Goddess’ temple and how much of a dark and eerie place it was. A place where the evil went to bow to their master, it continued on to say.

“A place where the evil bow to their master, you said? Heh, my entire family must be up there,” she spoke softly to herself. She walked off from the window and kept starring at the ground. Her mind began to wonder about the bard’s song. She was beginning to contemplate a way to, “Go pay a little visit,” to her.

Before she noticed it, Nidia had wandered off from the city and was walking towards the waterfall itself. She stopped walking and stood in front of the waterfall, and looked around at the extremely large cliff to reach the top. “Goddess of Night… heh… There is no such thing as a god. If you really are the evil in people… oh, never mind. You’re nothing but lies!” Nidia shouted out loudly, and kicked a stone into the waters. She sat down in front to the waterfall and pulled her knees close to her chest. “There is no god…”

Maybe a shadow passed over the sun. A cloud? Possibly. However it happened, darkness took the ground for a moment and with the blink of an eye, a young-looking woman with long white hair and silver eyes was perched on a rock just a few feet from shore. She wore simple black pants and shirt in the fashion of Cascadian culture. A silver band across her brow marker her a potential noble. Around her waist was a belt holding multiple throwing knives and a chakra.

"There is much more to night than darkness," she said with a slight smirk at the brooding woman. "There is light as well."

The woman waited and watched the girl. The suspicions of some people and the night sometimes confused her. Where everyone saw evil and darkness, Laoura and a select few saw the light of the stars and moon. Purifying, silver light, full of beauty and mystery.

Nidia jumped at the sight of the woman in front of her. She was quick to withdraw her sword and pointed it at her. She stood in a mode ready to fight the woman. Then, the woman began to speak to her, saying something about there’s light at night or something like that. Nidia wasn’t impressed.

"Who are you? What do you want? If you’re looking for gold, you’ve fount the wrong victim,” she yelled out to the woman in the water, “I’m not scared of your little magic tricks, you little witch.” Nidia began to step back, obviously scared and confused on what was happening.
