Pheonix hadn't really planned on being here, at The Academy of Arms. It was purely by accident that she stumbled across the palce. And what a place it was. The outdoor arean Pheonix now found herself in was bigger than she would have ever expected. It was a very different, yet somehow welcome change to the usualy forest Pheonix usually resided in. Walkign along jsut at her left side, as always, was a wolf. His coat a deep sort of red, his dusty paws left prints in the dirt as he walked. Tail swayed gently from side to side, the canine was simply content being with Pheonix wherever she went. Pheonix, on the other hand, was still looking around. Passing by people sparring and the usual training, Pheonix was sort of wanting a challenge herself. It had been awhile since Pheonix had simply practiced. And she didn't count the usual theives and wild animals that she sometimes came across in her wanderings.

Her own ears twitched at the resounding sound of steel clashing against steel. Pheonix herself was pretty good with a sword, especially considering the fact that she had never been taught how to use one. Then again, nothing Pheonix knew today had been taught by her, everything Pheonix knew, she had learned all by herself. And thought she was no scholar by any means, Pheonix was still pretty smart.

For no reason in particular, Pheonix drew her katana, which she named only recently as Agar Qualum, though she kind of forgot what it meant. Pheonix couldn't really remember what language it was actually. But things like that didn't really matter to Pheonix. Lifting the weapon up and over her shoulder, Pheonix glanced about. Tapping the flat part of the blade along her shoulder, Pheonix dropped her other hand to the canine at her side. "What do you think, Gen? Interesting place is it not?"

*Kore was coming back to the academy after two straight days of working out in his private quarters. As he entered the outdoor arena, he took a deep breathe in and smiled.* There's nothing better than the sound of steele in the morning.*With that he walked around and did he routine inspection of the progress these kids were gaining.

Making his way around the arena, his eyes fell onto a girl and a dog unfamiliar to him. He walked up to them and cleared his throat.* "Excuse me ma'am? Is there something I can help you with?" *He said before noticing the katana she had drawn out. A smile came to his face and he walked in front of her.* "That's a finely crafted blade you have there, and it seems you have no sparring partner. If you would mind, I'd like to be your partner for this duel."

Pheonix twitched an ear as a clash of steel and a curse came from somewhere near by. She turned, seeing two men not much younger than herself sparring. Apparently the curse had come from the boy who'd lost, and he pushed by Pheonix without so much as a word. Deciding against saying anything about the matter, she just shrugged the encounter off. "Come on, Gen."

After walking around a little more, Pheonix heard footsteps behind her. Lowering her katana, Pheonix turned slightly. "Help me? Nope. I'm just ... you, know. Looking around." Lifting the sword to eye level, Pheonix grinned at the offer. "A duel? Heh. I could do that. My name's Pheonix, by the way."
