Title: A Walk Gone Wrong

Tamuril - February 12, 2005 01:58 AM (GMT)
Tamuril had never been to the Debon Plains before and thought it would be a nice to go see the plains since she was already on a walk. Looking around as she walked through the bright green plains with it beautiful flowers blooming like little gems. Sighing happily as she sat down in a large area of flowers she watched her little fairy dragon fly through the flowers and grass.

Giggling at the sight of the little creature chasing a butterfly she laid back in the soft moist grass. Looking up at the beautiful cloud filled skies she watched birds along with her dragon fly around the clouds. Smiling with happiness, the young female elf slowly fell asleep right there in the soft grass.

Hours later Tamuril woke as night began to fall and to her dismay she could no longer tell from which direction she had come. Standing she started to become scard and sat back down and began to rock back and forth with fear as she broke into tears. As she cried her little dragon landed onto her shoulder and tried to calm her hating to see her crying.

Skorne - February 12, 2005 02:57 AM (GMT)
Skorne followed the trail swiftly, tracking Tamuril easily. He had waited for her for several hours, becoming increasingly more worried as time went by. finally, he had set out, trying to find Tamuril on his own. He traveled quickly, carrying only his sword and a few small items of food. He wanted to travel as light as he could so that nothing slowed him down. He ran along, searching for his connection with Tamuril, hoping that when he got close enough he would be able to talk to her.

He stopped after a while of running, thinking up a faster way. He knew a spell that would take him along faster than if he ran. He looked up ahead, going to the farthest place he could see with any detail. He transported himself there, taking a few seconds to look around again. He recognized this area, he had been here before. He also spotted the trail again, and began following it. This trail was newer than the one he had been following, hopefully he would find Tamuril soon. He sent out a cry, hoping that Tamuril would be able to hear him through their bond. Tamuril! Can you here me?"

Tamuril - February 12, 2005 01:29 PM (GMT)
As she sat their in the grass in great fright night fully fell upon her like black blanket. Crying out even louder in fear now she wrapped her arms around her knees as she pulled them up to her chest to keep warm.

Rocking back in forth with her eyes tightly shut Tamuril heared a faint whisper within her head but she would know that voice anywhere. Standing up with a look of relief upon her face she let out a scream hoping he would hear her, for the voice belonged to Skorne her beloved husband.

Using their conntion she sat back dow and said, "I can hear you Skorne but just barly. I'm lost Skorne and really scard... I fell asleep in a medow and woke when it was dark. I cannot tell where I am. Please find me! I will send out our little dragon to help find you and lead you back to me. I am so scard!"

With that said Tamuril gently lifted her little dragon friend off of her shoulder and looked him in the eyes. NOt having a connetion with the animal like she did with Skorne, the deaf elf said the one word she knew to the creature, "Skorne!" Nodding his head the dragon understoo dand went off to find his other master.

Skorne - February 12, 2005 05:41 PM (GMT)
Skorne heard the reply, a feint whisper that filled his mind. With a sigh of relief, he tok off running, following the trail that had been left by Tamuril. He ignored his tired legs, forcing them to go on, pushing himself to continue on. After a few minutes, he spotted a shape on the horizon, coming closer. It was barely a speck when he first spotted it, but as he got closer, he recognized that shape. It was Kazul, Tamuril must have sent the dragon out to find him. Stopping, he used the blink spell again, traveling forward to appear in front of the dragon.

As soon as he appeared, Kazul turned around and headed back the way he had come. Skorne chased after him, noticing that Tamuril's trail led this way also. He tried the connection again, hoping that he would be close enough to speak to her. "Tamuril, I am getting closer, hold on."

Tamuril - February 12, 2005 10:28 PM (GMT)
Confussed about what he meant by hold on Tamuril replied with, "Okay but hold onto what Skorne?" Being new to this hole somewhat talking thing she was puzzled by common statements like this one. Just wanting to do what her husband had told her to do she grabbed onto some grass.

"I'm holding onto the grass is that what you mean?" She asks him through their connection and then she saw them coming over the herizon. Letting go of the grass Tamuril was on her feet once again and running towards Skorne.

She did not care that she really could not see where she was going but she saw the glow of her dragon's eyes and just knew the figure with him must be Skorne. Breaking into a faster run she finily reached Skorne and throw her arms around him tightly.

Breaking into tears she kissed her husband on the lips clinging to him tightly. As she continued to kiss and cry the two of them fell to the ground together.

Skorne - February 19, 2005 03:20 PM (GMT)
Skorne held onto Tamuril, glad that he had found her. He didn't even pay attention when they fell, he was just holding onto Tamuril so that he wouldn't lose her again. He kissed her lovingly, letting her cry for now. He wanted her to let out all of her emotions, so he didn't dissuade her from crying. "It's ok, I'm here. You don't have to worry anymore." Skorne said this, but he was just beginning to feel his own fears go away. He hadn't been afraid for himself, but for Tamuril, that she would be taken away, never to be seen again.

Skorne stood up, pulling Tamuril up with him. Once he was standing again, he kissed her once more, still slightly afraid that she might be lost. "Are you ok? I was so worried, but now you are safe. What happened?" Skorne watched her fearfully, hopeful that she truly was ok. He couldn't stand the thought of her being harmed. Kazul hovered next to them, cheaping anxiously. It was nearing the time when the gryphons started hunting, they would need to leave soon.

Tamuril - February 19, 2005 05:43 PM (GMT)
Without even thinking about using their mind connection, Tamuril pulled gently away from Skorne and started signing quickly, "I had just come out here to collect some flowers that are not in our forest but as I did so I began to become tired. Laying down I watched Kazul chasing butterflies and the next thing I know I woke and it was night. I could not see from which direction I came Skorne. I did not know what to do. I just sat here worried and scard."

Having told him what had happened Tamuril throw her arms once again around Skorne and kissed him on the lips. Looking him in the eyes she used their connection this time and said, "I am okay now Skorne... I am safe because I am with you. Thank you for finding me. I was so scard I was going to have to wait until morning and try to find my way back home."

Pressing her face into his chest she just held onto him never wanting to be without him again. She had been so scard when she could not tell where she was but was more scard that she would never be with her beloved husband again who was her entire life and much more.

Skorne - March 2, 2005 09:07 PM (GMT)
Skorne listened to her story, waiting for her to finish completely before speaking. "You don't have to be scared. there are very few natural predators in the Debon Plains, though the gryphons are dangerous." Skorne looked around, watchful for any sign of the gryphons. He didn't want to have to fend off an attack, but he would if he needed to. Skorne kissed Tamuril, relaxing now that he knew she was safe, glad that she wasn't harmed. Looking aorund once again, he didn't spot anything. "Come on, let's go home. Slasher will probably be worried sick by now, and he will want our complete attention when he arrive back home."

Taking her hand in his, he began walking back the way he had come, leading Tamuril home. He needed to teach Tamuril the area around their house, so that she wouldn't be lost in the woods. They could go for a few walks every once-in-a-while so that she could find her way around the area surrounding their home. He signed the next part to her, not bothering with the connection. "Are you hungry, I have some food that you can eat if it wil hold you till we get back home?"

Tamuril - March 3, 2005 10:56 PM (GMT)
Cuddled close to him as they began their walk back towards their home in the forest. As he told her their was nothing to be scard of she thought back to him, "Yes there was... I was scard I would never see you again or get to go back home. You are the reason why I was scard because you are my life Skorne. Without you I am nothing because you are my everything."

Tamuril hoped he understood what she meant. Gently stroking his face with a loving hand she kissed him gently on the lips as they continued on their way. When he asked her through sign language if she was hungry she thought for a moment then nodded slowly. "Yes that would be nice my love Skorne but aren't you also sweetheart?" She asks him through their mind connection.

As they continued on their way and Tamuril continued to wait for Skorne's reply to her question about him being hungry there came the sound of ruffling wings. Of course though Tamuril had no clue of this and would never have know of the coming Griffens if it was not for Kazu.

The same fairy dragon began to fly around the couple like a pesty fly and even pulled at their hair until Tamuril turned around and saw the on coming creatures. Letting out a scream of fear and broke into a frantic run.

Skorne - March 11, 2005 04:47 AM (GMT)
Skorne held her tight, glad that she had no need to be scared now. They were together, and they would return to their house together. He shook his head at her question, he could last until they got home before eating something, he had eaten a small bite before he had left to chase after her. "I will be fine, though I suppose if you want to then we could stop somewhere and eat." Skorne hadn't been paying attention to Kazul for the time, he was to busy watching Tamuril, concerned for her safety. He finally noticed Kazul when he began to pull at their clothes. Watching him curiously, he was unsure what Kazul was trying to say, but then he heard Tamuril's scream and turned around in time to spot the griffin. "Run Tamuril!!!" Skorne screamed at her through their connection, and immediately raced after her, drawing his sword as he went.

When he had almost caught up with her, he turned and stopped, facing down the beast that was chasing them. He would have to slow the beast down if they were to have any chance of escaping. Holding out a hand, he launched an enervation beam at it, but the griffen only dodged it, easily flying out of the way. Skorne shifted the grip on his sword and shield, holding them up as he prepared for the griffens charge. With another whispered spell, his scimitar burst into flames. He would need all of his magic to aid him in defeating this beast, though he wouldn't give up until Tamuril was safe.

Tamuril - March 11, 2005 09:37 PM (GMT)
Tamuril ran flat out as fast as she could but then she stopped dead in her tracks as she realized Skorne was no longer with her. Whipping around in horror she found her husband ready to fight the creature. Screaming out his name in fear through their connection she ran back towards him. If he was going to face the monster she would beside him. She would never let him do such without her.

As she ran to him and stopped beside him closing her eyes tightly in fear of the aminal before them she waited for the killing strike but it did not come. By some mirical that they would never how Slasher had appeared and jumped onto the griffen back willing to give his life up to save Tamuril and Skorne.

Skorne - March 12, 2005 05:11 AM (GMT)
Skorne was scared when Tamuril had come back to stand beside him, but he couldn't let that prevent him from acting. With Slasher distracting the beast, he had time to act. He unleashed another enervation strike, and this time his aim was true. It struck the beast in the chest and it let out a screech. It jerked to the side and Slasher was thrown from it. Using his telekinesis, he safely landed Slasher on the ground, were the umbra kit immidiately raced to their side. Knowing he would feel the effects of using so much magic in a short time, he let the flames on his sword die, saving what magic he could. Putting his scimitar back into the sheith, he turned and ran back the way they had come, putting as much distance between themselves and the griffin as possible. The griffin had been injured, but it hadn't taken a killing blow.

Looking back while still running, he saw the angry griffin chasing after them. Looks like it was twice as determined to catch them now that they had injured it. Holding up a hand, he released another spell, turning away quickly so that he wouldn't suffer any ill effects. A flash of light followed by a deafening sound came behind them, and the griffin was temporarily blinded. Still, it was enough to allow Tamuril and Skorne to escape. "Keep running Tamuril, we are almost there."

Tamuril - March 12, 2005 04:44 PM (GMT)
Tamuril heard Skorne tell her they were almost there but she just could not go on any further without knowing for sure that he would be right there with her. Grabbing hold of his hand she broke into a heavier run and soon they saw the tree line of the forest in front of them.

Crying out in relief at the sight she continued to hold onto her husbands hand and dove into the cover of the trees with him. Both the dragon and umbra kit came with them. Now laying flat on their stomachs the four of them breathed heavily with relief. Getting bored with the hole chasing thing the griffen returned back to the plains with one last squack of anger.

Skorne - March 13, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
Skorne lay on the ground, forgetting everything else aorund him, only concentrating on breathing. He wasn't exhausted, but the chase coupled with the large amounts of magic he had used had drained him more than he had thought. Moving over, Skorne put his arm around Tamuril, kissing her on the cheek, glad that they were safe. Looking around, he spotted Slasher. He gave a tired smile, it was in part thanks to the umbra that they had made it. Seems like it was already fiercely loyal to Tamuril. "Well, that was fun, we have to do it again some time."

Skorne was laughing out of relief, it had been a close call. It would have been difficult if they had been forced to fight the griffin to the death. He would have killed it, but it would have been difficult. "So, ready to go home yet?" Skorne watched Tamuril, glad that she was unharmed by the experience.

Tamuril - March 19, 2005 11:52 AM (GMT)
Tamuril cuddled closer to Skorne and kissed him gently on the lips. Looking into her husband's eyes she said through their connection, "We are both worn out my love and you are weak from using so much magic, its safe here lets rest a little longer." She smiled hopefully at him and gently began to stroke her beloved's cheeks attempting to get him to relax so they could rest.

Smiling more she rested her head on his chest as they laied together in the woods. "I love you Skorne. Thank you so much for saving me and coming to look for me" She said to her love a single tear of joy spilling down her face. Tamuril knew that if it had not been for Skorne and their faithful pets she would never had made it out of the plains in a good condition. Looking into the eyes of her husband once again she smiled gently at him and kissed him with much love upon the lips. "I love you" She told him again not able to Skorne that enough so that it would even come close to the amount she loved him.

Skorne - April 3, 2005 06:07 PM (GMT)
Skorne lay there, unmoving except for the rise and fall of his chest as he regained his strength. Looks like he would have to train more if this fight had worn him out to this point. Returning the kiss that had been given to him, he continued to rest, hoping to get on the move as quickly as they could. "I love you Tamuril, no one will harm you." Skorne's eyes were bright as he looked Tamuril in the eyes, returning her love. After a few more minutes of laying there, he stood up slowly, taking his love's hand in his own and pulling her up. "Come on, let's go home. I will feel better after a good nights sleep." Bending over, he picked up Slasher with his free hand, carrying him gently. They owed him a lot, and he was greatful for the little umbra.

Turning his head, he watched Tamuril carefully, looking for any sign that she was tired. He might be weaker than normal, but he wouldn't hesitate to carry her home if she was tired. "Are you okay." His eyes were full of concern for her, fear that she was in some way harmed. Still, he would keep her safe until they reached their home.

Tamuril - April 3, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
Tamuril held tightly to her husband's hand as they walked resting her head lightly against his shoulder just wanting to be close to him. "I am okay" She told her love through their brain connection and sighed lightly. Looking at Slasher she smiled grateful for the animal. Yawning gently she stood up again so they where still hand in hand but she put no extra weight on Skorne.

Something told her he would need more then just a good night's sleep... Her beloved Skorne had been weakened by the magic yet he was more then willing to take care of her. She felt guilty deep down inside for having caused him so much pain and work just by getting lost. Sighing with unhappiness she kissed her love on the cheek and thought quietly to him, "I am sorry I caused so much trouble for you."

Skorne - April 8, 2005 07:02 PM (GMT)
Skorne stopped then, turning his body to face Tamuril. His eyes stared straight into Tamuril's own, seeing the beauty that he had always thought she possessed. "You could never cause trouble for me, and I hope that I never cause trouble for you." Skorne kissed her passionately, ignoring the world around him. Taking a step back, he regarded her with a calm look. "Come on, let's go home. Then I can rest, and then we will be safe." Skorne turned to face home once again, setting Slasher gently on the ground. The kit immediately began running around, exploring the area as they passed it by. Skorne was glad when they got back to the area of the forest that he had learned by heart during their first few days here. It meant that they wouldn't have to worry about any predators.

With a playful look, Skorne quickly cast a spell that would temporarily increase his strength, and picked up Tamuril. Holding her lightly, he spun her around playfully, smiling at her. Setting her down once again, he kissed her on the lips. "Come on, we are almost home."
