Title: Lost in Confusion.

Lindsey - February 3, 2005 02:12 AM (GMT)
Lindsey some how got lost in this building. He really didnt know where he had been at. Though, all he ever knew was that this was a school. A place that mages were taught. His head ran around in confusion. All the hallways looked the same to Lindsey and a headache almost occured. His eyes widened and he did feel a little dizzy. He shrugged his glasses back into his face as he could feel them sliding off. Rarely happened to him but it was going to get a habit if kept on. But perhaps he could find a way to ween this situation. Nothing mattered right now. The angered boy had been lost and was about to dart a hole in the wall with his fist if he didnt find a way around. He saw people but he didnt think they would help because how rude he was at times. He placed a hand on his head and groaned in pain. He stopped and slammed his hand on the academy wall. He really wasnt feeling good.
Stupid halls!! He thought to himself. He was really hoping for someone to at least accompany him to a class but he doubted himself a little to much.

Master Ace - February 3, 2005 03:28 AM (GMT)
Master Ace slowly wandered about the halls of the academy of magic with practiced ease. Things as usual were not doing too well there. More people were interested in the academy library than the academy itself. Most mages learned on their own outside of the academy, and even those who dared not to miss a class now could hardly be found. Master Ace of course had learned a lot on his own, but partly because there was none to teach him save himself. Ace was also a quick learner when it came to magic. He knew more spells now that nearly all he knew and that included the old sages who had been around for well more than fifteen minute years.

After turning a corner Ace caught sight of a boy slamming his fist against the wall. There seemed to be no one around. Perhaps he had recently heard ill news and vented himself after the messenger left sight. "Is something the matter?" Master Ace asked with a concerned look on his face as he walked foward towards Lindsey.

Lindsey - February 3, 2005 12:39 PM (GMT)
Lindsey nodded his head to the man that had stood in front of him. He didnt even open an eye to see who it had been. But he would eventually to see who he had been talking to. Lindsey opened his eyes and shook his head. He looked at the person who seemed to be worried or concerned for some reason. Im just lost and a headache just occured at the moment. But maybe you could help me find a class. Just need to learn a few things thats all. Lindsey now leaned against a wall, he got back to walking once more. He was headed for the classes but appearantly he really didnt have much luck finding them. The man that came to him concerned really was no help. He really didnt offer anything like, a tour around the place. Right now Lindsey just wanted to find a louzy class-room right now. But if he were to find nothing, then he would eventually just give up and evacuate the place. But then again, Lindsey really had no clue who he had been talking to just then.

Master Ace - February 4, 2005 02:23 AM (GMT)
Master Ace of course had no idea of the doubts and morbid thoughts that roamed Lin's thoughts. Master Ace did beleive that Lin was without the knowlegde of whom he was speaking to. Ace looked more like a student than a magister, and definately was not what one would imagine for archmage training master or the most experienced magister at the academy. "I can cure the former and might be able to give you something for your headache as well if it is still bothering you," Master ace offered as he came up to Lin. He could make a potion that would likely get rid of headaches, though it would be better if the headache were a persistant pain rather than just a spontaneous event.

"I am Master Ace. I can give you a tour of the academy, if you would like. It might be a bit before classes start anyways," Ace smiled as he extended his hand to Lin. He was not going to start his own class now, but if the student insited then he would. Ace knew he did not tell Lin he was a magister, and did so on purpose wondering how he would be treated otherwise and the shock on lin's face when he learned Ace was not what Lin thought him to be.

Lindsey - February 4, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
Lindsey didn’t really mind a potion right now, it was going to worsen if he kept his eye on anymore halls that scattered throughout the building. Lindsey dropped his spell book and his studies on the bench near by. He looked at the man and he gave him a look. A surprising one too. If the man did so, then maybe this would change Lindsey's attitude towards him. Which he wasn’t planning on getting mad on purpose, just the fact that everyone around him annoyed him. But this person didn’t really mind helping him out.

Look, I think and I really suggest you get to know me before you make any moves. Yes a potion would be nice, I appreciate that. But if you really insist on helping me out and giving me a tour then that’s fine with me. Just thought I should let you know, that Im not the easiest person to get along with. Just for reference.

Lindsey thanked the man for this and shook his and when he held it out, he yet knew nothing of him. He didn’t know how easily he could be set off and how bad of a temper he had. But for the most part the man he faced wouldn’t get so much out of him. He was the first to help Lindsey and all he could do is not give him any hell. After all he did need someone to accompany him around the place and maybe this man would be his first class-mate he had met today. However Lindsey had no intentions on smiling or acting like he appreciated everyone that came across to him. That would not be tolerated. Not to Lindsey at least. This man here was an exception. He would make him a potion to get rid of this ailment and he didn’t mind giving out a tour.

Master Ace - February 7, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
(Sorry for shrt crappyness)
"'before you make any moves'? Sounds like someone is flirting with him rather than helping him. What on eartht is he talking about saying he isn't one easy to get along with. That is usually true for those to stuborn to admit it," Master Ace thought to himself thought kept his face from showing his confusion. It was evident that boy was not too accustomed to getting along with people. Ace doubted that Lin had merely forgetten to give his own name in return for Ace giving his. The boy did have enough manners though to shake Ace's hand.

"You don't have to take the tour if you don't want too. I just thought you might want one given that you said you were lost. In any case if you want that potion you'll have to follow be to the alchemist's Lab. There are a few fresh tonics in there, so you won't be held up or anything," Ace smiled as he shook Lin's hand.

After a short pause Ace continued, "I don't think I caught your name." It was funny how one would say what literally did not mean, but was still easily understood by others.

Lindsey - February 7, 2005 12:58 AM (GMT)
((yea its ok, my previous post, the dialogue sounds too, you know, I really messed up there. That really does not sound right. Dammit, that sucks. ))

Lindsey looked at him with a blank face, he wasn’t really surprised about anything nor did nothing get his attention. He was still not feeling to good and he would have to follow Ace to get a cure for him. It wasn’t all that, he was used to having these headaches but it would be nice to be cured for once. He looked down and then heard Ace mention what his name was. Lindsey took a deep breath and looked back. He was looking around for a moment not answering him, just yet. Lindsey swung his eyes back at Ace, he spoke in a careless tone.Lindsey. Sorry about that. And I really don’t mind a tour, that would be nice....but just need something right now. Cure. Lindsey shook his head a little, he felt a pain in him and a tear of sweat drop down his cheek. Things could have worsened.

So which way to the alchemist lab? Lindsey began to walk forth and then stopped. He waited for Ace to lead him, and soon they would get to the main point and why Lindsey had came here in the first place.
He was eager but wasn’t strong enough to show it. Lindsey didn’t really talk much, not to someone he knew he would get along with. But that would have lasted a short while. Others, they really didn’t get along very much with him.

((I really need to change the dialogue on that previous post. Too lazy to do it anyway. Just pretend he never said that. Damn Lindsey!!! <_< )

Master Ace - February 14, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
Lindsey seemed to be staring off into space rather than paying much attention to Ace, though at the mention of Lin's forgotten introduction, reality seemed to come back to Lin. Lin seemed pretty odd. Most people would have went to the healing halls rather than the academy of magic to cure an illness. Lin also seemed as if his main intention was a cure for his headache rather than a lesson in magic. Lin did not seem too unwell, though Ace knew of many illnesses with minimal visibal effects. Ace was also curious of Lin's name. He beleived it to truly be his name, but thought it was mainly a name for girls.

"It is nice to meet you Linsey. It always nice to see a new student around here, but is unfortunately a rare occasion," Ace smiled.

Ace noticed Lin had walked foward towards him, but that was not the way to the lab. At least not the quickest route. Ace pointed in front of him before saying, "We'll be going this way." Ace then began to walk slowly giving Lin ample room to turn around and catch up.

"So what type of magic intrest you the most Lindsey. Personally I like general spells, but learn a good bit of all types of magic," Ace smiled hoping to spark a conversation as he guided lin through the halls.

Lindsey - February 23, 2005 12:37 AM (GMT)
It seemed that Ace wanted to start a conversation with Lindsey. If that what Ace was aiming for then he was in for a huge conversation if it went right. Ace began to talk about magic and that what had caught Lindsey's attention the most. Lindsey was so into magic it was just a hobby to him but also a defensive use, when it came in handy.Hey, Its nice to meet you too Ace! I think I understand why it's rare to see a student wandering the halls. For some reason I think it just bores a person to death when they come in and learn. I for one find it interesting. For some odd reason, it wasn’t like Lindsey to sound all exciting about a certain topic. He was always serious about everything at some times. He guessed it was because he hadn’t had anyone to talk about these things with.

Lindsey caught up toward Ace. He seemed to know his way around. He might have been a Magister. But Lindsey couldn't really tell. Ace had recently questioned him about what type of magic he was interested in. Lindsey was basically a general type of guy himself as well.
I'm more of general than anything else. I get into elemental but it only interests me for a short amount of time, I get bored then I just do general full time. Glad to hear we are in to the same types. Lindsey got really curious all of a sudden. He didn’t know whether Ace was a student or not, or just some highly trained Magister. It was until then he had spoken up, and had questioned Ace.

Ace, do you know who the Magister is, its him Im mainly wanting to see. But I would first like to have that antidote if you don’t mind. We don’t have to get the antidote, my headache would eventually go away in a couple of hours. Its no big deal/

Master Ace - February 27, 2005 03:43 AM (GMT)
Ace's smile grew. It was great that Lin seemed to be the sort of person who was actually interested in taking classes and learning. Perhaps he would become as reliable as Zorgn was without the dissapearing act. Ace didn't care too much for the fact that they favored the same kind of magic. Ace had very little option in his specialization. If he worked too much with one type he would lose tip the scales and have not be as good with the opposing types. There was also the threat of loosing control again if he practied too much with magic of an energy type. It had been a while since he had last lost control and he did not intend to let it happen again. "Of course it is not always the student is not always the fault of the student in being bored. soemtimes it is the fault of the teacher being boring, but I have yet to see that be entirely the case here," Ace smiled. It was shortly after saying that that he recalled Jashed's boring lecture class. Hands on classes were always much more fun.

Ace returned his thoughts to the matter at hannd. Ace had the feeling that Lin's headache was more likely to go away in a few minutes rather than hours, but he didn't comment on it. Instead he turned his attention to Lin's question. He supposed it was coming sooner or later and there was no real use in lying. "You don't have to look too far to find the magister, afterall you are following him," Ace chuckled. "I may be a bit young for my trade, but it is a trade I do well. Better than some who have been around for centuries, and count their years by nearly five times the fifteen years of my life."

Lindsey - February 27, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
Lindsey was surprised to hear that he had been following the magister the whole time. It had been Ace, which Lindsey really never thought of that. Ace looked really young, but maybe he was that good. Lindsey wanted to get started in learning more and improving, he didnt have time for headache cures anymore, it would have gone away sooner or later. But Lindsey wanted to move on and just get to learning. He thought and imagined how far he could have gone. How much stronger he would have gotten. If he was even lucky, he hoped to have been a magister one day. He caught up to Ace and looked at him and spoke.

Ace? You're really the magister? I really cant believe it, but if you say you are I have no reason to say you aren't! I just cant believe it.
I would like to skip the cure for that headache. It would go away soon. I just want to start my lesson already. I want to advance. I want to accomplish more.

Lindsey thought that he had rushed, but he did want to shut himself up. But Lindsey was too eager to do so. He wanted to go inside a class-room already. He decided to to calm and do this a little slower.
Im sorry, I rushed! Sorry about that. Can we go to a class-room now? I wanna start, but I will wait untill you are ready.
Lindsey didnt say a word after what he had just said. He decided to let Ace talk now and move on.

Master Ace - March 3, 2005 03:55 AM (GMT)
Master Ace smiled at Lindsey's reaction. It was certainly much better most. Ace had seen jaws drop and hang limply, but of course that was after was with them for a longer time before introduction or happened to add his title of archmage training master to the unsuspecting person. "The worst part is I accually look my age. the acamdey no longer has a magister more experienced than myself and had never before a magister so young, but that is enough of me," Ace chuckled.

Ace was glad to see one so eager to learn. Ace was sure it would be fun teaching Lin. "One does not need the classroom to have class," Ace laughed. "It's okay. I can understand you getting a bit eager. Why don't we work outside today, that's were most of my classes are held anyways. I learn best hands on and teach that way as well," Ace smiled. Ace's green eyes turned to the double doors onfly a few steps away which led outside.

"Do you know Magic misslie or Shield? I think we'll start there if you don't. should go pretty go since it's just you and not a large class," Ace smiled as he turned and walked towards the doors. Ace oped the door and held it open for Lin.

Lindsey - March 3, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
Thanks!
Lindsey said walking out the door as he saw Ace hold the door for him. Lindsey had not learned Magic Missle or Shield. And it was somthing to learn, it was important, obviously, since Ace thought that it should be the first thing to learn. Lindsey was outside and it seemed like a nice day to work on a few magic spells. I dont think I know those spells Ace. But I will be happy to learn that!
Lindsey kept his face straight. He was happy to be learning from someone that knew alot more than others. It seemed as if Lindsey's headache went away but it was sort of there, still. When Lindsey was there, waiting for Ace, he thought about how immature someone could have gotten when it came down to being very happy that someone just had to show off all they could have done with their own magic. Sometimes that lead to destruction. But Lindsey could not stand that the fact, students just had to show off in front of a magister just to impress.
He now waited for Ace to arrive and begin.

Master Ace - March 8, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
"Well, that's good. It is a nice pair of spells to start with," Ace smield as he walked outside and closed the door behind himself. It was a fairly nice day outside. A few clouds dotted the sky, but none were dark enough to suggest rai would be comingdown any time soon.

"We'll be going to the academy courtyard just in case something goes wrong," Ace smiled as he lead Lin to the academy courtyard. He probably could have done the lesson in the hallway without a problem, but it didn't hurt to take the extra precotions.

Once at the courtyard after the short walk, Ace stoped and turned around to face Lin. "The first spell we will go over is sheild. I'm sure your imagination can tell you what uses it has. The spell only protects you form the way you are facing though. Watch me closely and pay attention to my words and movements," Ace said before slowly casting Shield himself. After casting the spell a tall translucent green sheild appeared before Ace. "Now you try," Ace instructed as he dismissed the sheild.

Lindsey - March 9, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
Lindsey followed Ace to where ever he was taking him. When they had arrived Ace had been explaining a spell to Lindsey. He paid close attention to him and what he was told to do. Lindsey was to learn the spell, shield and he had already knew what it did. Lindsey followed every word and movement Ace made and studied him carefully. When he was given instructions to do what he was to do, Lindsey immatated Ace. While Ace's sheild appeared perfect, and he had made it seem easy for the first try, Lindsey shield appeared as well but then quickly faded away. He needed to give it another try because the one he made wasnt very successful. Well, I guess I'd give it another try. The shield died on me and it didnt last for a few seconds either. Lindsey eagerly tried it the second time and this time he made sure he did this corectly. The shield appeared but Lindsey got the same results. He was not sure what he had been doing wrong to make it only last for about 5 seconds. What ever it was he needed to correct himself, or have Ace teach him what he was doing wrong. What now?

Master Ace - March 16, 2005 02:36 AM (GMT)
Ace watched as Lindsey followed his instructions. The boy did good for his first try. Ace merely smiled when Lin repeated the spell hoping to correct some mistake he had missed. Linhad made no mistake that Ace had caught. The only thing that held Lin back was than the spell was not fully etched in his mind. Only a few mages could master a spell upon their first attempt. "Now we move on to magic missle. You may not mastered the spell, but you can cast it. If you don't have the spell mastered by the the end of class then call it homework," Ace laughed.

Ace's emerald eyes fell upon an a large tree outside the coourtyard. It would be sturdy enough to take a few magic missles from even a mage who had mastered the spell, there was still a good chance the Lin's missle would fade away before it even got to the tree. Master ace chanted the words of the spell as he point at he tree. A shimmering green light bolted from Ace's finger and flew towards the tree, but vanished before ever getting there. "Now you try upon the same tree," Ace smiled.
