Title: The First Spring.
Zero - January 31, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
That one morning when Zero woke up the first day of spring came by. He had opened his eyes and the sun had blinded him just slightly and he closed his eyes shut tightly. He began to slowly reopen them and this time gently. He got up from the comfy bed he usually slept in. He looked out the window and saw the green grass and the leaves beginning to grow on each of its branches. He was glad to start a new day of training on the first day of spring, and enjoy the weather that hadn't been there in such a long time. Or so it seemed.
He got his things ready and picked up his new magical weapon he had picked up from the shops a few days back. His fire scimitar. He hadn't used his weapon yet and was hoping he would enjoy using it today. He headed out the doors and a chilly breeze came to him. He could feel his sheaths blow side to side. His scimitar on his right hip, his Masters blade on his left, and his Holy blade on his back, slanted. It was nice, he felt good outside and let the sun hit him. He saw a few students out but didn’t know if they were any interested. So far the past couple of weeks, things weren’t so good. He was hoping for a nice day today and expecting new people today. He really didn’t mind training the same person from before though.
Eden - February 1, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
Eden flew through the wonderful air and saw the young weapons master known as Zero. He was young indeed and seemed as though it was his first day on the job of weapons training. Eden landed on the ground with a thud and looked at the young man. Eden was maybe about fifty or so yards away from the teacher. He was debating with him self wheather or not he wanted to be taught by the man. Eden did not know. He remembered the last time that he had a class with him. The poor weapons master did not even attempt to practice with wooden swords. Now the man had a fire schimitar and Eden was sure that he would use the dangerous weapon in practice. If he did, then Eden would have to interfere and stop him. Eden only feared for the students' sadety. He walked over and kept his gaze on the man, still wondering to himself if he should attend the class or not.
Zero - February 1, 2005 12:32 AM (GMT)
Zero was looking at the scimitar that was out of its sheath. He looked at the shininess of the blade, and noticed the sun shine off. He felt the blade burn inside, and felt the warmth and how relaxing it was to hold such a blade. One of the most comfortable blades he had ever touched, held, looked at, was as far as the best ones he had ever welded upon him. He firmly sheathed his blade back in and could hear the blade grind the inside of the sheath as well. He placed his things aside and took off his other sheaths strapped on him. He sighed, wondering if he would get any students to join his class. He quickly glanced to his side and quickly turned his head back. He looked back and this time closely at who had been there.
It turned out to be the very same student who tried to run Zero's job around and telling him what to do.
It want surprising at all to see Eden's face again, he just didn’t think of him as a friend just yet. The last time he was here, Zero was a little annoyed at his presence, Zero knew what he was doing back there and he really didn’t need anyone telling him how to do his job. But he had now got all that over with and was hoping to start off new and clean. Hopefully a better start with this student. He would be glad to cooperate with him and become friends. He hoped he was his only student for today, but didn’t mind if there came more. Zero began to walk over to him, and walked in a fast pace. Hello there, good to see you here once again. I didn’t expect to see you here but, if you came here to be my student, I would be glad to help. Zero extended a smile and wondering what the boys reactions were.
Eden - February 1, 2005 01:38 AM (GMT)
Eden looked at the man who came at him with such a fast pace. Eden smiled and walked as well. He kept his eyes on the man’s eyes and occasionally looked at the fire scimitar and was in awe of such a creation. Eden was amazed at what the civilians of Taras could do. They crafted such beautiful weapons and armors. Some of the armory was so fine and wonderfully crafted that only the best would be able to handle such beauty. The crafters who made the sword that was sheathed to the weapons master’s side make the art of arms a beauty and a sight to see. Eden thought to him self how much he now wanted such a sword. He wanted a sword that would strike down his enemy and look miraculous at the same time. A sword or any other weapon type that would show Eden’s glory and victory.
Eden looked at the weapons master whom he remembered to be Zero. Eden smiled and extended his arm to shake the hands of the teacher of arms. He greeted him self and said,
“Hello there. I will be a student of your class today. If you do not mind, I would like to get started right now, as the sun is already nearing the middle of the sky and there is still no other students arrived. Just one question, but what strategy or technique would you be using this day, sir?”
Zero - February 1, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
Being glad to hear what Eden had said, Zero's face grew wider as he smiled in expression. He now had a student to teach and was glad to have some one there, to keep him company. Zero noticed the sky and the sun both. It would have to be a special mid-night session with Eden if this was the case. He watched Eden carefully and he noticed him hold out his hand to him for a kind greetings. Zero shook his hand back and chuckled a bit. He knew this would turn out great and that this would all work out just fine. Zero heard the mans question about today’s strategy and technique. Zero thought that since he was the only student he would have he might as well just let Eden choose this for himself. Zero wouldn't mind at all.
Well, I was thinking since your going to be my only student for tonight, how about I let you choose what you would like to learn. How does that sound? He waited on Eden's response and then he turned to look at the sky for a little while. He looked back finishing his answer. Hopefully there’s more to do eh! He stood there now and then turned to walk back to where he was. He turned his head to make sure Eden would follow, and that he would respond as they walked back.
Eden - February 1, 2005 02:16 AM (GMT)
Eden smiled at the man and followed behind him. He thought to himself for a moment and wondered what they should practice. Eden looked up to the sky as they both walked back to where Zero was earlier. He looked back down and gazed at the back of Zero’s head. A smile came to Eden’s face as he had an idea of what could be learned this lesson.
“I know, you could teach me the technique that should be used when handling a mace. I currently own one right now and would like to know how to better my skill as a mace user. It is not an easy weapon to wiels, as it heavy and it is unbalanced. The majority of the weight is on the end, where the actual weapon it self is located. The rest is just a mere piece of wood.”
Eden looked at the back of Zero’s head and waited to hear what he would have to say about that. Eden was right in saying that about his mace. As all maces, it was virtually impossible to make one balanced. It was only a thick piece of wood that connected to head of metal that most would of being hit from. Eden looked down to his mace and smiled. It was moving back and forth as he followed behind Master Weapon, Zero.
Zero - February 1, 2005 11:24 PM (GMT)
Zero kept walking when he had heard Eden talk about learning to use his mace. Zero shot his head up and had a blank face. Zero really hadn't used a mace in a really long time, so if he were to teach Eden, it might have been a little sketchy. He would eventually work hard on this and wouldn’t let Eden down. Better than having a student to teach, than not have one at all. Those exact words ran around in circles in his head. A ball of red-orangish fire hovered above his hand, he let it float around and let it fuel more to get it bigger. But then a click went through his head that he had gotten to carried away with what he had been doing. He shook his head and put out the flames.
He then turned around and faced Eden to speak with him. Eden, Im not going to lie to you, Im going to go through this with you once. And once only.
I really haven’t used a mace in such a long time, so if you see any sketchiness in me just correct me if you see it. It just means that I might have lost experience in one. But don’t worry I will recover it back in no time. Zero deeply sighed and took three deep breaths. Besides with him thinking he had lost some experience, it would be like if they were both training themselves. But of course Zero would eventually get the hang of it once again.
Eden - February 1, 2005 11:45 PM (GMT)
Eden sighed and looked to the ground. He ws thinking to himself about wheather or not he should learn to master the skills of his mace. He looked back up to Zero and smiled lightly. Eden looked down to his mace on his right and then to his wooden sword to his left. The wooden sword was sheathed in cheap wood. He returned his gaze to Zero and smiled once more, this time more brightly.
"I know, you could teach me sword. You may be correct in speaking about your skills with a mace. I fear that I would be the one teaching you how to wield the weapon. I see that are skilled in using swords. That is a field of weaponry that I have not come about. Please, teach me about swords."
Eden walked toward the weapons master and unsheathed his wooden sword. He stood on the white line that was dyed into the ground got in to the position of attention.
Zero - February 2, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
Eden would be a pleasure to teach then if he now considered swords. It was one of Zero's main hobby and loved swinging blades around. He looked back at Eden and smiled. Zero looked down now and smiled that soon turned to be a form of laughter.Ok Eden, I will do so. You'd be a pleasure to teach. He winked his eye at him and felt determined. He noticed to see Eden sheath out his wooden sword and then Zero raised an eyebrow at him. But he didn’t want to put Eden down in any sort of way. Zero then insisted to Eden if he would want to use one of his swords. Hey Eden, if you wanted you could use one of my blades. You may choose one if you want to. He waited on his response but want sure if he would want to because the last time Eden was here he was insistent about using wooden training swords that the Academy provided.
Eden - February 4, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
Eden reluctantly looked at Zero. He did wish to use one his real blades. Eden looked down to his own wooden blade and smiled, then returned his gaze back to Zero. Eden thought of using a real sword for now and it seemed it would not be too much of a problem. That is true until the two of them start to spar with one another. Eden walked over to the weapons master and said,
“I will only use your sword only if we do not spar with one another. I do not mind the fact of using a real blade, it is just sparring with real blades. Safety is an important factor to take into mind. You do not want to harm your very student. If you say that we are going to sparr, then I respectfully request that we use wooden swords. If we are going to only go over technique and strategy, then I will use your blade.”
Eden unsheathed his wooden blade and stuck the sharp point into the ground so that it would stand on its own. Eden had to shove it in the ground using a lot of his strength because the sharp point of the wooden blade was actually dull. Eden looked at Zero and waited for his response, hoping that he did not offend the weapons master.
Zero - February 4, 2005 03:14 AM (GMT)
Zero shall not put anyone’s health or life at risk, especially a students. He totally agreed and knew how Eden uncomfortably felt about this. If Eden was too concerned about his own health, then Zero would not force him to do what he didn’t want to. Zero looked at Eden now and put a smile on his face. Most people would feel the same as Eden but others took advantage of it. All Zero would do is go over strategy and technique like Eden put it.
If you feel discomfort in sparring with real blades then that is totally fine with me. I am concerned about my students health and life. I shall not put you at risk, and I totally respect what your trying to get here. But if you really want to use one of my blades I really don’t mind. Just giving you privileges and opportunities since you’re the only student for my mid-night session later on.
Zero put his blades aside and let the eager student choose what he wanted to practice with. It really didn’t bother Zero on what he had chosen. Anything to help out Eden would be nice and helpful.
Eden - February 6, 2005 04:35 PM (GMT)
Eden smiled at Zero and sheathed his wooden blade. He walked over to Zero’s swords and looked at them. He did not know which one he would be using. Eden though that it would really not be a problem if they were not going to spar. He bent his knees and kneeled down on the ground. He looked at the Angelic blade and was awed. Eden turned his head and looked back to Zero. He smiled and asked,
“Is it alright with you if I may use this sword? I would like to use this Angelic sword in practice.”
Eden grabbed the hilt of the sword and picked it up. He swung it through and spun it in hands, observing it. It was very nice indeed. Eden liked the sword very much and he wished to use it.
