Title: Discovery

Wynde - January 18, 2005 04:39 AM (GMT)
Another lonely day in the library, thought a young-looking boy as he grew tired of the reading the tireless ramble of some ancient anarchical mage who had tried, sometime in the distant past to overthrow the order of the land. Setting down the autobiography, Wynde rose to his feet. Stretching his back, stiff from hours of pouring over stacks of books, some of which should never have seen the light of the day and others that seemed to have had seen to much of it, he glanced around the small studying area he occupied. "What's this?" he muttered, pulling a loose paper free from under a bookshelf. With a start, he recognized his own name amidst the aged print.

Master Ace - January 18, 2005 12:50 PM (GMT)
Master Ace was in the academy libray himself. He could have propably looked over better books in the tower of arcana, but it was nice to meet new people at the library though that was of course a rare occurance. If Ace found some one in the library he could propably persuade the person to perhaps take a few classes and enroll in the academy. Master Ace closed his book about out of control magic. He hoped to find something that may be of some use to Jasmine. she seemed to be a pyromancer in the very sense of the word. Surely she had not meant to cast so dangerous a spell on Academy grounds. Ace got up from the table and walked through the isles of bookshelves. Ace stoped when he saw a a young looking boy pulling a peice of paper from under a bookshelf. The man seemed surprised to see what was written on it. "Is something the matter?" Master Ace asked as he walked towards the man.

Wynde - January 22, 2005 07:05 AM (GMT)
Wynde hadn't yet noticed the man approaching as he read the page over once... Twice... It was no use. The script was of no language he recognized, though it seemed to scream to him as though it were an apple and he had forgotten how to bite it. Nothing besides stood out about the aged parchment. It was old and dull, plain in color and unadorned. The parchment appeared to turn the eyes as he stood looking upon it. It was then, in this fashion, that he did notice the man approach. Startled at first, he near dropped the paper he held. Then, the words that were spoken came upon his ears. "Nothing is wrong..." Wynde started. "But I see nothing right, either..." He spoke, slowly, appearing to ponder each word. "I cannot explain it well, but this page..." He paused to think. "Seems to draw me as it repels me. I suspect that is why I found it such." He paused again motioning to the bottom of the bookcase. Then stared questioningly into the other's eyes, but no more words passed his lips.

Master Ace - January 23, 2005 11:07 PM (GMT)
Master watched the man who seemed at first not to even notice him. Either the man was death or something on te page held the man's attention with a tight grip. It was an aged page and the writing was surely not of a common languages or a langauge known by Ace. He could not tell what captivated the man's attention in such a way. Surely there were a thousand books in the library with words in strange languages and much more in the tower of arcana. The man's reply was a strange one to be certain. He had surely did not know how to explain whatever it was he was feeling. Ace's emerald eyes searched Wynde's face as if hidden answers were hidden there, but it seemed that Wynde was as puzzled as Ace, if not more. "In what matter does the parchment draw you. Would you mind if I examined it," Ace asked hoping that maybe he could find out what was wrong with the paper. It was possible that some problem causing child had curse the paper to bewilder the reader.
