Title: Indoor Training
Zero - January 16, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)
Zero left a note in the dormitories, saying that everyone were to go straight to the indoor arena if they wanted to be trained today. The weather had been bad and it was not pretty. Zero had looked out his window, it had been storming and raining. A little sleet had occured though. Zero got his things together and sheathed in his blade. His hair was out of control. He took the time to fix it before he could even step outside. When he was done he took a few strechtes and swung out his Masters blade. A few slashes to left, a few to the right. He was ready, he gripped the hilt of his blade tightly and sheathed it in too.
Zero walked out of his room and began towards the indoor arena. Storms could be heard, the strong winds could be heard as well, shaking the trees so violently.
Zero sighed, wondering when the storm would stop. He did better when he could outside, but not today. He few more steps to the arena and he was already there.
He looked around and no one there, just his steps could echo the room. He went over to sit on the bleachers and waited for any student to arrive.
Skorne - January 18, 2005 03:38 AM (GMT)
Skorne walked through the great storm outside, heading for the entrance to the academy. He had his cloak pulled tight about him, and he kept his hood down, preventing himself from getting wet for the most part. He came to the door, and greatfully pushed it open, slipping into the academy. Closing the door behind him, he shed his cloak, carrying it in one hand as he made his way down the hall. Passing by one of the training rooms, he peered inside, seeing if anyone was here. It was then that he spotted someone sitting on the bleachers that were there for spectators. It would be nice to get some training in now since he was pretty much stuck here till the storm ended.
Walking across the arena, he nodded to the stranger, laying his cloak on the bleacher before speaking. "Are you the training master, or are you one of the students? I came in here seeking shelter from the storm, and I was wondering if I might interest you in a training fight." Skorne rested his hand on the hilt of his scimitar, watching the man carefully. He hoped that this stranger would agree to fight him, it would help pass the time while they were stuck indoors.
Zero - January 18, 2005 03:57 AM (GMT)
Zero noticed a man walk in the indoor arena. He smiled and to just see at least a student to arrive, it had been hours of just waiting for a student. He noticed him carrying with him a drenched cloak and that he must've came from outside where the storm occured. He watched him carefully, because he really wasnt sure if it was a student. Though it did seem like it. Zero visualized him as a student anyway, making a judgment toward somone with out knowing who he was. Though Zero seldomly did this but it was his first impression on the man. Yes I am the Training Master for weaponry. Are you going to be my student today? Either way, if you not, then yes I will take you up on the challenge. At least I know Im doing somthing I for once enjoy.
This would be a good thing to be training indoors and not being outdoors in the sweat and heat despite him doing better outside. The storms didnt seem to fade and it did sound like they were going to be in there for the remaining period of time that flew by. Zero stood up and took a step off the bleachers. He was now on the ground and his body was now ready to be active.
Zero was now getting ready to sheath his sword out but then he did need to wait on on this man. Before anything else was done, Zero had to interupt, Im sorry for the interuption but may I know your name, to just know who Im training with. My name is Zero by the way. Zero let his hand free from his sheath and let it hand on his back now, his hand was now held out to shake with this new face.
Skorne - January 18, 2005 04:08 AM (GMT)
Skorne smiled at the weapon's master, thinking about what he had said. "I am not sure if 'student' is the correct term, but whatever." Skorne gripped the hand of his scimitar, about to grip it when the stranger told him his name. Releasing his sword, he shook Zero's. "Hello Zero, my name is Skorne. Hopefully this should be an interesting fight." Skorne drew his scimitar, taking off his sheath and setting it to the side. He would fight with only what he needed, and the sheath would only impede his movement. "Before we begin, I think we need to set some ground rules. Will it be weapons only, or can we use magic and shields? Or, are we just going to let each other use everything we have against each other?" Either way, Skorne wouldn't care. If they could use magic, then that only meant that he had more items at his disposal. If it was only weapons, then he didn't have to worry about any magic Zero might have. He waited for an answer, holding his scimitar lightly in his right hand. He took his shiled off of his back, setting it down for the moment. If they could use anything, then he would use his shield, but for now it sat with the rest of his stuff. Skorne turned and walked into the center of the arena, swinging his sword quickly from side to side. It hissed through the air, barely able to be seen as it moved. He turned to face back at Zero, waiting for an answer to his question, letting Zero decide the rules of their engagement.
Zero - January 21, 2005 03:18 AM (GMT)
Zero knew already to what the rules were going to be. But first he would do a little somthing before he went on. Well thats good! Nice to meet you Skorne, this should be interesting, training someone else probably with different techniques and strategy. Zero wanted to really know his fighting style, new people meant new techniques, which of course meant more socialization for him.
However, he was getting paid to just do this, so he would just get back to what was needed to be done here, for him at least.
The rules will be no magic what so ever. First one to actually use it, automatically loses. Kapeesh! He winked his eye at him letting him know that this would be a strict rule if he were the kind that had a passion for magic. Of course Zero did know a few who did, but the rule was set and he was getting the impression that he left out a rule, but he couldnt think, ........and there might be on more....... I just cant put a finger on it...... he thought deeper for a moment and all else was silent in the arena. .... well I guess thats about it for now.... But do remember this, it is only a training procedure we are just doing here, anything gets out of hand then I will be sure that, this would be put to an end. Got it! He then shook his hand and was now ready.
Zero sheathed out his Holy blade and waited for Skorne to start off, and also waited for everything he had to unleash it at Zero.
Skorne - January 22, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
Skorne shrugged his shoulders, okay with the rules. While he did have magic that could greatly aid him, he didn't want to become dependant upon it. "Fine by me, though it does spice up the battle some." Skorne crouched slightly, his muscles ready to move at an instant. While this was a training exercise, he was still going to fight hard. He wasn't going to try and kill Zero, but he wouldn't allow himself to be beaten either. He waved his sword experimentaly, warming up his cold limbs. The storm was indeed fierce, and he didn't want to try and fight without his full ability. "So Zero, let's see who teaches who." Skorne circled to the side, watching Zero carefully. His eyes stayed locked onto Zero's, staring with an intesity that would have made a snake blink.
Skorne rushed forward suddenly, only to jump back. It had been a feint, meant to test Zero's reflexes. Skorne was going to learn everything he could about how Zero fought. For in that was the key to victory. If he fought long enough, eventually he would find a flaw that allowed him to win. Still, he wouldn't try to fataly injure Zero, just make it clear that he could have if he wanted to. Then Zero would be beaten, and he wouldn't continue the fight.
Zero - January 24, 2005 03:01 AM (GMT)
Zero saw Skorne shoot out towards him and Zero had seen this move. It wasnt new to him but it was in some way. He wasnt used to people thinking that they could beat him so easily and that he would go down in an instant.
Zero had dodged his movement and sprung to the side.
His sword was heavy but Zero mastered its weight and knew how to balance it with himself. He began to shoot himself toward Skorne now and was sure that he would dodge this as well, because it wasnt a very big move.
It was just somthing to get warmed up for now and would toy with Skorne for now, or untill he got the warm up done.
Not saying a word to his opponent Zero would also make sure that this wont end like Skorne plans to. And he wouldnt go cheap on him, no; not for now at least.
Zero then kept heading his way toward Skorne and get warmed up for now, but would toy with him for a bit.
