Sithrar had been traveling for some time and just happened to enter this new city. On this night the chill of the air seemed to have a very hard bite, and its effect was getting to him. He noticed that there was a tavern sign up ahead and quickened his pace. When he entering the tavern he noticed that there were not many people, only a few drunken fools and the bar maids. As usual no one seemed to care that he had entered, and only wished he had closed the door faster. Sithrar started to make his way to the fireplace when one of the bar maids asked to his order. “Shot of rum, small loaf of bread, and a pint of ale please.” Sithrar replied, only a few minuets after he sat down the bar maid returned with his order. Sithrar paid her and she left. Sithrar looked at the meal and did not like what he saw. A dirty shot glass, a filthy mug, and it looked as if the bread had be nibbled on by rats. With a long sigh Sithrar took the shot and drank. “Not bad” he thought as the warmth of the alcohol soothed his worried mind. Sithrar took the ale and froze as he stared at the dancing fire. He was startled away for his thoughts when the behind him slammed shut, form someone looking for someplace warm.

A lone woman enters, and glances about the tavern. She looks lost, and seems to be pondering whether or not she should turn back out the door. After hesitating a few moments, she finally closes the door shut behind her. Silver eyes quickly dart to the fire, and she finally steps forward. The firelight dances across her face, revealing the scar upon it. Zeria had been aimlessly wandering for as long as she could remember. She has no memories of her past, and no clue as to how she got into these lands in the first place. Now however, Zeria was travel weary; and she sorely needed a place to rest. This tavern was the only place for her to do so.

Taking a seat near the fire; one uninhabited by another, Zeria took off her snow-covered cloak. Then, she threw it over the back of her chair, allowing the fire to dry it. Before long, a barmaid had approached Zeria, asking if and what she'd like to drink. Zeria ignored her, as she didn't have any money anyways. The barmaid gave Zeria an annoyed look, and turned away. Now left alone, Zeria stretched her arms across the table, and lay her head on the wooden surface of it.

Sithrar did not bother to turn and look at the door to see who had entered, but wished they had closed the door sooner. After the door had closed he heard footsteps approach the fire, “someone else looking to warm up” he thought. He turned to see a very tired woman sit and rest her head on the table, and when the barmaid asked what she wanted to drink she did not reply. Trying to help the barmaid asked, “would you like anything to drink or eat miss? It would be my pleasure to buy.” Sithrar waited for a response and took a sip of his ale.

'Would you like something?' Zeria quickly looked up at the voice. Someone was talking ... to her? She glanced around, and her eyes finally rested on the man speaking. Zeria thought for a moment, as it was rarely that anyone ever offered her anything.

"Y-yeah ... thanks, ... a warm drink would be ... would be good."

She nodded, uncertainly.

sithrar - January 14, 2005 11:42 PM (GMT)
“Anything unparticular” Sithrar asked as he motioned for the barmaid to come over. When the barmaid had arrived Sithrar said, “I would like to buy the lady a warm…” and posed weighting for the woman to fill in the blank.

McKenzie - January 15, 2005 06:51 AM (GMT)
Zeria didn't know what sort of things they had to drink. Unable to think of anything in particular, she just guessed as to what they might serve here.

"Er.... hot tea?"

It was phrased as a question, for she didn't know if it was something commonly ordered. Zeria didn't drink much of anything alcoholic, just didn't enjoy as much as some people do. Then again, right now Zeria didn't care what she drank, as long as it would warm her up. Zeria isn't used to such cold weather as this.

sithrar - January 17, 2005 06:53 PM (GMT)
“Well you heard her.” Sithrar said to the barmaid as she scampered off. He then turned to the woman to a sip of ale and introduced himself “Hello my name is Sithrar

Namilek - January 17, 2005 10:44 PM (GMT)
Namilek had been wandering around the city for hours, lost, cold, and hungry. Then, out of now where, his eyes caught a glance on the words "Tavern". Feeling hopeful once again, he ran towards the tavern.
As he closes up upon the tavern door, he pushes it open with force, causing a huge "Boom!" noise. As he enters in a quick pace, all the heads turned and gave him this rather unfriendly look. But Namilek did not care, for he was starving and cold.
Sitting down at the closest table, he yells out:"Hey lady! Give me some of the best dishes you got here and a jug of milk!" at the barmaid.
The barmaid went to service right away, but with a rather annoyed look on her face.

Zeria flinched as a loud noise suddenly resounded through the tavern. Mercury-filled eyes quickly went to the door, and once it had been closed, she turned her gaze away. She didn't know the person entering, and so she cared nothing about him for the moment. Zeria gave a slight nod in reply to Sithrar.

"My names ... Zeria."

Zeria was again distracted when some loud fellow just yelled at a random barmaid. The least he could have done was waited for a barmaid to approach him. But it was none of Zeria's business, and she ignored him for the time being.

sithrar - January 19, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
Sithrar had not bothered to look up to see who had entered. After he so rudely talked to one of the barmaids Sithrar look towards the man, and noticed that he was an elf, but the way he was acting did not represent his race truly well. Then again Sithrar had met some very evil elves in his time. Turning back to Zeria he said in regard to the rude elf “he needs to be tough some manners

Namilek - January 20, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
In about ten minutes, the barmaid came back to Namilek's table with a jug of milk and some food. As soon as the food was put on the table, Namilek started eating right away. Namilek was hungry, so he did not care about manners. Instead, he reaches into the plate with both of his hand, then started stuffing himself with food.
After he finished with the food, he drank the rest of his milk, then leaned back on the chair he was sitting in while patting his belly lightly.
Namilek sat there for a few mintues, then called the barmaid over again. "I apologize for my manners earlier, I just hadn't eaten in a couple of days." said Namilek. "By the way, could u get me an ale?"
The barmaid did not say anything back, but she did have a more satisfied look on her face. She went get the ale right away.

McKenzie - January 20, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
Zeria gave a small nod in reply. Rude people didn't bother her so much, as long as they weren't trying anythin with her. Actually, people in general didn't bother her much, she just didn't trust most of them. Being betrayed time and again by people you thought you could trust, in the end that can do alot to a person. Zeria glanced back to the loud man sitting not to far off. She did wish he'd lower his voice though. Her head already hurt bad enough.

"He seems to be acting a bit better now, at least."

sithrar - January 29, 2005 06:53 PM (GMT)
Sithrar looked towards the man “yes, it seems he only needed food to calm him down.” He then turned back to Zeria “what brings you to these parts?” Sithrar took a sip of his diminishing ale and waved of the bar maid to bring another as he weighted for her response.

McKenzie - February 7, 2005 07:03 AM (GMT)
Zeria looked down at the table, only shifting her gaze up when a barmaid had arrived with her drink. Zeria took it with a nod, and held the cup on the table with both hands, letting the hot liquid warm her.

"I ... don't know what brings me here. I just woke up on day and ... here I was."
