Title: Flaw Options

Laoura - January 6, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Okay then, due to the overwhelming positive votes for the flaws I am moving forward with this next poll. Which version of the system should Imythess use?

In the previous topic ([Click Here to View]) there are some split opinions about this.

Some people expressed concern for losing their flaws that their characters already have and I would simply like to clarify: You do not need to have an official flaw that is on the list. If your character has one unique quirk or more, they are free to have as many as you like. You simply would not receive the free feat/skill for these additional quirks.

Again, any and all input is appreciated.

Edit: This poll will be open until January 8th. Then it will be announced which system will be used.

I like how you changed it to getting a skill instead of a feat. It would be nice to have flaws, but feats are to good to just give out. Most of the flaws that I saw wouldn't really affect you that much except in one specific area. Feats cover a large area of being used. So I voted for the 5th one :D

I choose option three because I think getting an extra feat is a bit much. I also do not like the idea of set flaws. It only makes it more likely that the set flaws won't be used. Catch my drift.

I voted for the fifth option, too. Everyone should have at least one flaw, in my opinion, because no one's perfect. And then after that, as I said on the other thread... the more flaws you have, the more likely you are to try to perfect something else. And I just liked the idea of additional skills instead of feats, because feats are something your character should have to work harder for. Skills can be learned, feats must be perfected (at least in my opinion; otherwise, extra feats would cost the same as skills, neh?).

I have also voted for Choice Number Five. It seems much more appropriate.

I believe that either option four or five will work :)

Jarreth - January 7, 2005 12:31 AM (GMT)
I will go with option five. Might as well see how it goes and find out if the system can be abused excessively. If it is not working out, it can always be changed.

I must admit that I dislike the idea of having to choose from a set of flaws...I prefer the term 'quirks', it sounds less...terrible. *coughs*

I prefer two and four...but mostly I think that I, for one, would prefer having them optional... o--o;

I choosed the Option Two: Flaws are optional. You can volunteer to take up to 3 flaws and in return for each flaw you choose to take, you receive a free feat.

Option 5.

Feats are too much. Skills are better.

Not always true. I'm flawed lots, but I glory in my flaws and try to become the most flawed I can be. Crazy, but then I'm like that.

Rianna Dirada - January 7, 2005 06:49 PM (GMT)
I did say "more likely", as in, not everyone does it. ^^; True, some people enjoy their flaws in such a fashion, but generally speaking, most people dislike their flaws/quirks and try to overcome them in some form or fashion

I saw the "most likeliy" part. I just felt I should point it out.

I chose 5! five is great! the best one out there! :D

Laoura - January 8, 2005 05:40 PM (GMT)
The poll is now closed. Thank you, everyone who has voted.

The Flaws will be added both to the profile and additional flaws (up to 3) may be taken and in return you may receive a free skill.

Expect to see this feature added either later today, or tomorrow.
