Title: Looking after hourses

Fayt - January 6, 2005 12:44 AM (GMT)
Fayt woke up extra earley this morning, he poped right out of bed and gatherd his things and started out to tend the hourses. When Fayt arived at the stables he got the hourses food and fed them, after they were done Fayt grabed a brush and got to work with brushing the hourses. Usualy the stable hands did the work but Fayt thought that he would give them a day off and do the work himself, when they arrived Fayt told them "Sorry guys no work for you today, I have already done it all." The people looked at him and then smiled and left as fast as they came, soon after they left Fayt heared a noice that came from inside the stables, Fayt ran inside to see that a cupple of hourses had been set free. He quickley gatherd them and put them back were they came from, and then he saw a man at the entrance to the stables. "Are you the one who did this to the hourses?" Fayt did not think that it was right to mess up all that he had done and if this person was resplncible for it then he would have to be tought a lession.

Ahren - January 16, 2005 01:51 AM (GMT)
Ahren watched the person as he put the horses back into their stables. He was surprised when the stranger accused him of letting the horses out, and he quickly defended himself. "No, I did not let those horses out, and I don't like being randomly accused of something." Ahren stopped speaking quickly, before he said something that he would regret. Normally, he didn't get very angry, but he thought it stupid that this complete stranger would accuse him of something that there was no evidence to support. "In fact, I came here to see if I might keep some of my own horses here for a few days. I am going to stay here for a few days, and I needed a place to keep them. Since this is the best stable in town, I thought about bringing them here. I can pay, and I will only need space for two horses." Ahren watched the stranger carefully, judging that this was the person in charge since he was the only one here. If there wasn't any room here, then he would have to find another place to keep them. He stuck his head outside the stable doors for a second, making sure that his horses were doing fine. He knew that this wasn't a place known for crime, but he still wanted to make sure that nothing had happened.

Fayt - January 16, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
"I am sorry for yelling at you, I should not have jumped to the chase, mabey they just got free somehow. Well in any case I am sorry and yes you can gladley keep you horses here, infact I won't charge you since I was being so rude to you. Also if there is anything else that I can do for you all you have to do is ask." Fayt then walked over to one of the horses already in there and grabbed a brush and started brushing it. "Your horses will be in good care here, eithere I or the stable hands are always working and taking care of the horses here, although I gave them the day off today, I thought that I would do somthing nice for them." Fayt then agian started to wonder to himself, "I still do not understand how the horses got free though, mabey I did not close the gates right on a cuppe of the stalls, well what ever I should get back to work." Fayt then open up the stall for the horse that he had been brushing and then jumped on it's back. "This is my horse, although it is not quite a horse, it is a unicorn. His name is Vincent, I have not had him that long but we get along great, it's always good to have a friend around even if it's a horse." Fayt then walked out side on his horse and let it out into the fields, so that it could graze on grass. He then turned to this man and held his hand out for him to shake it. "Well what might your name be, and like I said before I would be glade to take your horses for a cupple of days."

Ahren - January 17, 2005 03:00 PM (GMT)
Ahren smiled at the man, glad that that had been cleared up. He was also glad that he could keep his horses here, he knew of the reputation of these stables, and that they would be well cared for. "Thank you very much, please wait while I bring my horses here, it won't take more than a few seconds." Ahren turned and walked swiftly out the stable door, heading over to where his horses where tethered. Coming up to them, he petted them reasuringly, they had never been here before, and the new sights and sounds where confusing them. "Come on, you're going to be fine." Some people might have thought it strange to talk to a horse, but Ahren did so without thinking about it. Animals would calm down some if they heard the voice of someone they trusted, so Ahren talked to them constantly on the short walk to the stables. Entering in the stables, he looked around for some sign of the man he had been speaking to. Spotting him, he headed over there. "These are my two horses. Just like your beast, they aren't really full horses. This is a pegasus, and this is an extremely rare beast called a frigid steed."

Fayt - January 23, 2005 08:11 AM (GMT)
"Yes I see, I will take very good care of them, you say that you will only be staying for a few short days. Well any case your horses are in good hands and I hope you like your stay here, for what ever reasons you are here." Fayt then took both of the horses from this man that had not gived Fayt his name yet, Fayt walked the horses to two empty stables and placed them one in each, he then gave them some food and water, now speaking to the horses. "You will be fine with me do not worry yourselfs." Fayt then walked back over to Ahren and said to him, "Well now your horses are put into stables were they will be fine, but may I ask your name I would much rather call you a name then somthing else. Fayt then waked past Ahren and stood outside the entrance to the stable and wistled with his middle and index finger. Vincent then came out from the fields and came up to Fayt, which he then put Vincent into a stable as well. "You doing good Vincent, I will be back to take care of you a little later." Fayt said to Vincent, he then walked back over to Ahren and stood there waiting for him to reply to him.

Jarika - January 24, 2005 03:03 AM (GMT)
The wind whistled in her ears as Jarika galloped speedily into the frontyard of the stable. She was trailed not to far behind by Maja who was loping and trying her best to keep up with Themis' thumping hoofbeats. Fluttering somewhwere near Jarika's ear was Daedalus with his emerald wings beating quickly so he could continue to stay in his same position. Themis finally slowed down when he neared the entrance to the stable. His gallop slowed into a canter, then a trot, then finally a halt. Before he stopped, Jarika swung off of him briskly and took time to pat him on the neck. She ran her hands over his legs checking for scratches then looked underneath his hooves for rocks that may have become lodged in there. When that was done, she shook her head brushing the hair out of her face and turned to the two men. She noticed that they had been talking. Instead of waiting until she was sure that they were done, she walked briskly forwards with her hands swinging by her side. She asked "kind sir, where is your water basin? If you may be so kind to show me to it, I would like to water my steed."

Instead of waiting for an answer, she spotted a brush and walked over to it. Upon picking it up, she dusted the dirt from other horses off and walked back to Themis. She immedietly started to brush and dislodge all of the dirt that had caked onto his legs during their long hours of travelling. She used a combination of her hands and the brush as she got Themis as clean as possible. Upon finishing his right front leg, she moved to the front left and so on. It was not just normal brush and get as much dirt out as you can, to her, it was brush and get all of the dirt out until his leg shone like the moon itself. While Jarika had made the move to clean Themis, Maja had taken the time to rest her aching paws. She lay on the ground seemingly without a care in the world, but she was watching the two men. She would make sure that none of them did anything fishy while Jarika was unaware. Unlike Maja, Daedalus was a little less cautious and he was fluttering quite near Fayt. His flashing emerald eyes scanned the man as he looked on curiously. He was so close that his wings occaisionally slapped the mans cheeks, not harshly, much like a soft towel hitting something.

Themis, while getting groomed had drifted into a half-slumber. He stood with his back hoof partially off the ground and his eyes closed halfway. That was the way that he had been trained to sleep. He did not look the part, but he was truly ready to get into a running start if Jarika called for the need. He could never fully sleep because Jarika hadn't gotten into a running schedule, she often slept in the daytime and moved along in the night, but there were a few occaisions that called for a break in that nocturnal shift and she would switch it up on poor Themis. After a while though, he had adapted to the often change and had learned what to do when she did this on him. He didn't expect to leave anytime soon because they had just gotten here and Jarika was obviously tired as was he, Maja, and Daedalus. Themis let out one contented sigh and patiently waited until Jarika was done.
