Title: A visitor
Vernon - December 29, 2004 03:48 AM (GMT)
Vernon rested with his back aagainst a large gray stone. Half of his body was lost within the the mucky waters of the marsh. His backpack of rotten foods. Most of some of them had been stolen weeks ago. He reached into the bag and pulled out a fairly large slab of raw rancid meat. A few magots had found their birthplace on the meat. Vernon tossed the meat into his mouth and chewed opening his mouth wide. He liked the tase extra taste the maggots added. Vernon stopped while he was chewing his snack, thinking he had heard something nearby. Sure enough he was pretty sure he heard some one attempting to move through the mucky waters of the marsh. He silently stood up out of the muck and slung his backpack on his back. He jumped to a nearby tree and quickly scampered up with his clawed hands and feet. Vernon quickly climbed up to a thick branch. His eyes scaned across the marsh hoping to find the unexpected visitor.
Finduilas - December 29, 2004 09:48 PM (GMT)
In her wereform, Finduilas had stumbled into the marshes to her displeasure and had soon found herself stuck among the muck. Attempting to get free seemd to only increase her problems as her snow white fur beagn to grow heavy with the mucky water. Crying out in fear of drowning the young werewolf began to struggle more as she flung her four legs about and beated her tail against the water.
As she continued to struggle against the muck, her bright green eyes glowed from her body as if they were looking for any form of help. Whinning and crying out in fear in her wolf voice she felt as if there was no hope for her, who would come to the need of a drowning werewolf she asked herself.
Vernon - December 29, 2004 10:00 PM (GMT)
Vernon's eyes quickly came upon the werewolf flailing aabout in the water. He almost felt sorry for the poor creature. He dangled his legs down from the branch as he sat down. He searched through has bag a again and bulled out a small bit of bread that was once a loaf though diminished in size my mold, maggots, and Vernon snacking on it. "You know you might find getting around easier if you move slower," Vernon smiled down to the werewolf before nibbling off some of the bread and droping crumbs into the water. " Your squirming is only going to invite leeches to come and play with you," Vernon smiled after finishing nibbling. He wondered if the werewolf was inteligent enough to take not of what he had said if not it would be interesting to see who many leeches cling to the creatures skin on her way out of the water.
Finduilas - December 29, 2004 10:07 PM (GMT)
Finduilas looked up at the filthy smelling creature that hung above her eating horribly moldly bread and growled lightly in what seemed to be a think you for your advise but no thank you creature. Continueing to fling about she cought eye of a vine hanging from the very tree the filthy smelling creature sat upon.
Closing her eyes with displeasure she lunged forward and was just able to grasp hold of the vine with her fangs. Letting out a wine of releaf she began to attempt to use the vine to pull herself out of the muck. Slowly but just the same she began to pull herself out of the muck and onto a bite of land that was beneath the tree.
Sitting down on the land she let of the vine breathing heavily and closed her eyes releaved to be out of the muck. Opening her eyes once again that shown brightly in the dark night she slowly began to lick her fur clean of the faul smelling muck free from her white fur.
Vernon - December 29, 2004 10:23 PM (GMT)
"Well it's not entirely stupid," Vernon thought to himself as he watcht the creature use the vine to get out of the foul waters. He was tempted to cut the vine which hung not too far away and even on the same tree. Instead he decided just to watched. Vernon liked the beautiful gleam in her eyes. Vernon took out peice of cheese that was in as good condition as the rest of the food in bag. He tossed into his mouth and then licked his dirty fingers. He turned his attention back to the werewolf. He hadn't gotten much of an answer, but perhaps he could get one now. He wasn't too knowledgable about lycanthropy even though he seemed a wererat himself. "What aside from the moon brings one such as yourself to the marshlands? Do you come in search of mossquitoes and other bloodsucking bugs?" Vernon asked with a smile wondering if he would get a similar growl fro an answer.
Finduilas - December 29, 2004 10:31 PM (GMT)
Finishing with the cleaning of her fur that once agian shown bright white as snow, FInduilas looked up at the foul creature and snapped her jaws in a threat and growled again but this time much louder. Regaining her feet she jumped at the tree trunk getting her front paws onto the bark and growled from deep within her throat.
Something to Finduilas this was not a creature she wanted to make friends with and all possible she would scare it away if she could. Continueing to growl and snap her pearly whites at him more she nearly vomited as the scent of his uncleaned food and body reached her sensitive nose.
Falling back upon all four she layed down and rested her head on her paws breathing heavily. However she was smart enough even if she was dumb enough to lay down as to keep her eyes fixed upon the filthy creature who still sat in the tree above her.
Vernon - December 29, 2004 11:46 PM (GMT)
Vernon smiled though he was annoyed by the creatures apparent wanting to be left alone. He rummaged again in his sack pulling out a large hunk of meat he had found a few days earlier in the woods. He took a bite of the stale meat and it's foul juices driped down into the marsh's water. "How rude of me? Well, if you wanted me to share why didn't you say so," Vernon yelled as he chewed his food and tossed the remainder of the meat towards her. By his aim it would land right before her snout. More of the fouls juices and bits of meat fell fromm his mouth as he spoke. He didn't care if his words were uncomprehensible even if she was smart enough to understand them. He knew doubted the answer would change in any way. He knew what he said and that was good enough for himself.
Finduilas - December 30, 2004 12:21 AM (GMT)
Standing with a start she let out a nasty growl from the deepths of her chest her bright eyes glowing with rage as she looked up at him. Her white fur stood end along her long back as she continued to rumble with rage. Without a thought to as what she was doing Finduilas jumped jaws snapping as she attempted to fassen her fangs into his filthy leg in hope of casing him much pain before the sun rose.
(Sorry for the short post)
Vernon - December 30, 2004 02:47 AM (GMT)
Vernon barely had enough time to pull up his legs. Vernon was now angered at the shere nerve of this creature. He tried to help out and this was the thanks he gets for doing so. He quickly stood up on the branch, leaning against the trunk with one hand for support. With his free hand he hastefully pulled out another large slab of meat. "Pipe down, you!" Vernon yelled. His words were recognizable now that he had swallowed the food in his mouth. He was ready to throw his meat if she treid to jump or climb the tree.
(It's okay)
Gibbon - December 30, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
Gibbon was trudging along the marsh. It was pretty high and he felt leeches clinging to him. They would be a pain later. He saw up ahead two creatures. One seemed to be talking. The other a fine white wolf. A bit familiar for some reason, but he could put a finger on it. He ventured closer and saw that the talker was some sort of ugly rat thing.
"What the hell are you doing to that wolf?" it seemed that the rat was teasing the wolf and things didn't seem right. "And if I may ask, what are you?" it smell really bad whatever it is.
Vernon - December 30, 2004 04:54 AM (GMT)
Vernon turned and leaned his back against the tree when he heard Gibbon speak. This guy had some nerve. Storming about the marsh like he owned it. "All I did was try to help the poor thing and then it tried to attack me!" Vernon complained. "Speaking of introductions why don't you explain yourself?" Vernon asked angerily. He shifted the meat to his other hand and reached for a large chunk of cheese with his other hand. He stuffed the cheese in his mouth as he waited for Gibbon's reply or an ill action from the werewolf.
Gibbon - December 30, 2004 05:12 AM (GMT)
"Well I'm in the marsh, in search of a friend. I think I found her, but I'm not sure." he looked over at what he thought was Finduilas. "Is it you, Finduilas? It's me Gibbon. Do you need any help?" he wasn't sure if she could talk, but at least she could nod. He had never encountered her in her wolf state. "My intentions here are just but what are yours?" he said to the putrid thing.
Finduilas - December 30, 2004 07:59 PM (GMT)
Finduilas yelped with relief at the sight of her friend and without thinking made to jump towards him. She jumped and just nealry made it onto the bit of land Gibbon stood upon but to her dismay she was once again in the mucky water.
Crying out in fear she flung about and yelling. Once again she was in trouble and this time there was no vone to help her out of the leech infested water.
Gibbon - December 30, 2004 08:20 PM (GMT)
Gibbon seeing Finduilas jump toward him. He knew there was no land to be there. As she lapped into the water, he was shocked to see she knew not how to swim. So, he jumped into the water and grabbed Finduilas. "Shhh..Calm down. Your only making things worse by flapping around." he started toward were he was before and got up onto the land. "There now be careful."
Vernon - December 30, 2004 10:03 PM (GMT)
"I told her to calm down, but she didn't listen. Apparetly she could use a few swiming lesson," Vernon laughed before turning his full attention to Gibbon. "So Gibbon, you shouldn't pop into the marsh acting like you own the place, unless... of course you actually do. I am Vernon. I am here, because I live here and have done so for years. So now you know my intentions as I know yours intruding Gibbon," Vernon smiled before scarfing down another hunk of cheese.
Finduilas - December 31, 2004 01:56 PM (GMT)
Finduilas growled with rage towards Veron she knew how to swim but with fur and muck filled water it was a different matter. AT him being so mean to Gibbon she continued to growl not liking the creature one bite. Still growling she turned to look at her friend Gibbon and as to thank him and let him know she met him no harm she licked his hand gently.
The truth was she had attacked the creature but he was throwing food at her and yelling at her where all she wanted to do was to get out of the water and find a way out of the horrible marsh.
Gibbon - January 4, 2005 06:43 PM (GMT)
"I'll get you out of here soon enough." he said to her as she licked him. "My apologies for intruding. I only came here to get my friend and leave. I meant to do no wrong." he said to the putrid creature as kindly as he could. "How can you eat that stuff? It looks rotten." he commented on the spoiled food.
Vernon - January 4, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
"Well next time keep her on a leash. It will do you a lot better," Vernon laughed. It was evident that she didn't like him. He might as well make likewise well known as well. Vernon wondereed whether he should pester them further, but quickly became decided when He heard Gibbon's question. "Easily and it looks rotten because it is. Food always tests better in a state of decay. Less you wish to be put on the menu do not ask of one's deit in such a manner," Vernon smiled darkly.
Finduilas - January 5, 2005 01:04 AM (GMT)
Finduilas nudged against Gibbon's leg urging him to leave. She could tell it was time to leave she really did not want to have to fight this horrible creature of filth. She had to say she did not want to have to get another rabbies shot thanks to him.
Whinning at her friend she pulled at his pants begging him in her own wolfish manner to leave this place that she really did not like it there.
Gibbon - January 5, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Gibbon holding back his anger, from the words the rat said. He then looked ahead in the muck and saw the path he had taken to get here. "There is deep mucky water, do you want me to carry you. Just give me a nudge if you do. Otherwise we are going now." he looked ahead and planned were he wanted to go, so no unfortunate things might happen again.
Vernon - January 5, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
Vernon watched Gibbon. It seemed as if the beserker was calculating his path. "I hope you don't intend to go that way. You obviously are making your first visit into the marsh. Your timing is very poor as well. She will be out hunting that way soon. You do not wish to be caught on her territory, when she is hunting. I can show you a safe path," Vernon smiled before snacking on another peice of molded cheese. He had put a lot to think about before the human. Vernon wondered what response he would get out of the man.
