Title: A fight to remember
Description: [P]Shynthriir[P] You can watch IC though
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 12:09 AM (GMT)
Mithranduir sat in the stone courtyard that fine sunny day and he reminissed on how he fought the worst battle of his life here. Aganist Sargoth. He deciede it was time to get stronger so he yelled to the air for Shynthriir. Saying Shynthriir I call you to a duel! Accept or face concequences.! Then he got ready for when he came if.
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 01:37 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir had word that there was a man at the acadamy of magic who was challenging him to a duel. Shynthriir didn't know the man, or anything about him, though he knew the man's name, Mithranduir.
The air was crisp, though is was perfectly enjoyable for such a battle. He was ready, his scimitars at his belt, his spells in his head ready to cast. He didn't know what to expect of course, though he was ready for whatever. He had not have a true fight, a real duel against anyone of power for some time now, his very bones ached for this meeting, this battle.
He walked into the small arena where he was told to come. There was no ceiling, it was an outdoor arena, though it wouldn't have bothered Shynthriir either way. There were people sitting in bleachers all around, he wasn't the only one that knew abou this fight, it seemed as if it was to be a fight to remember. The cheers were loud as he entered the arena, he would fight hard to appease the croud this day, he would put on a good show if anything, he was make them happy.
Mithranduir was there, standing in the center of the arena. He looked at the man, though he could not judge his power very well. Shynthriir had his twin scimitars to his side, they would proove of great use for him, though he believed this would be a battle of mind allong with power, for this was the acadamy of magic, magic was sure to come.
Shynthriir untied his cloak, letting it fall to the ground and blow back to one of the walls that lead up to the bleachers. A few people tried to take it, though Shynthriir looked at them, his gaze piecing their own. The stopped and sat back down, fearinf Shynthriir before he even gave them a warning. He looked back to Mithranduir and then say as loud as he could so that the audience as a whole could hear him, You called...?
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 02:33 AM (GMT)
Mithranduir threw his cloak aside and drew Narsil and Thor's Bane then said Have you ever had a heated battle like this before Shynthriir? You'll be in for a big treat if you haven't. Enough chit chat let's fight! As he said that he ran at him. He threw Thor's Bane at him and shocked it with lightning and a electrified sword came barreling twords Shynthriir then he was right behind it beginning to make his slash movement across the chest.
Geist - December 22, 2004 02:44 AM (GMT)
Geist walked up some rows of bleacher, pushing his way through the bursting crowd. He crused them silently for their excitement, but knew this was not a ordinary battle. Geist eventually found a nice seat without too many people crowding him, he sat and watched as his Guild leader launched his attack. "Nice offense, lets see how his opponent relates...". With that thought his eyes focused on Mithranduir's opponent Shynthriir...
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 03:04 AM (GMT)
The crowd was getting really wild, thoguh they were no longer in Shynthriir mind. The fight had started and his focus was on the battle, nothing more. If he lost his battle focus, he would not end up victor of this battle; this was not acceptable.
Mithranduir came at Shynthriir. The moment that he saw movement in the man, he was reacting. He had trained for years to achieve the pinicle of reflexes, lightning reflexes. The same training, the countless hours of training, mad him fast, his agility was top notch. Mithranduir threw one of his weapons at Shynthriir and Shynthriir was fast to simply step to the side of the sword. While taking the step, he drew his own weapons, his twin scimitars. He had trained to use them both well in battle, the motions of one complimenting the other. He found great ease in fighting with two weapon, he prefered it actually.
He had steped to the right and Mithranduir threw a swipe with his sword which Shynthriir blocked across his body with his right blade. Some people would believe that a cross-faced balck a bad thing, though he did everything for a reason, and he had one behind the block, he was not weapon master for nothing. He was trained to attack in spinning manuvors, and this was one of them. As he was blocking, he was spinning toward his left, making his right hand no longer reaching across his body. Shynthriir changed the grip in his left scimitar, allowing its blade to lead the way. When he continued the spin, it would be at his back, unless he did something to counter of course.
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 03:14 AM (GMT)
Mithranduir saw this counter attack coming and he didn't want to test his celestial armor so he turned to gaseous form and said as he was doing this Don't hurt yourself. I have to have something left to fight. The attack went through him then he used obscuring mists and covered the place and he was invisible to the naked eye. For now.
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 03:35 AM (GMT)
Shynthriir's weapon hit nothing as Mithranduir faded into a mist, he contined the motion of his spin to keep balance, though he was quick to roll backward away from and thus, away from any immediate danger. Then the whole place was covered in a mist, a mist that Mithranduir was able to blend in perfectly with. Shynthriir was not left with no options, he never allowed that to happen in any battle.
He had spent the last year training at the acadamy, though this was not normal training, he trained with a blindfold over his eyes and over time he learned to use his other senses to guild his blades in battle. He might not be able to see Mithranduir though, he could hear him, he smell him. This was not his only option though.
Shynthriir cast his own spells, his didn't need to be cast out normally, he could cast spells with his mind and didn't need to say any words of make any gestures, this was the practice of a mage warrior. His magic was as powerful as his fight, he could focus well on spells and thus, make them more powerful than normal, this helped greatly for the spells he was about to cast, though summons would be the better word for the moment.
Before he cast them, he needed cover, he did this through the use of a different spell. He was just getting back up from his backwards roll away from Mithranduir when he cast his first spell for the fight. A ring of fire blazed to life around him, expanding twenty feet in all directions and blazing to a hisght of nearly five feet. The flames licked at the air and made it how, the mist even cleared slightly as it evaporated from the flames, though the ring of fire was for cover, not to clear the mist, for it could only clear so much of it.
Using the protective zone of the firey ring, Shynthriir cast his next spells. He cast them the moment that the ring was fully extended. To his right, another firey form was growing, this was no ring of fire though, this was fire in its pure form shaped to a human, a fire elemental. To his right, a different element was taking shape in a humanoid form, it was the element of air, an air elemental.
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 04:01 AM (GMT)
Didn't your mother tell you not to play with fire? Then he quickly summoned a storm and the rain came. Hard. Then he went behind Shynthriir and waited for his next move.
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 04:29 AM (GMT)
OOC: I don't see that you have a spell to do this... though I'll go on. Oh, and are you enjoying haveing the short posts after my long ones...?
Water, it was truely a powerful element in its own way. It has complete domination over fire. The ring of fire slowly fizzled out and then was gone completely. The fire elemental, too, started to hiss and eventually it was just another washed out piece of ash. However, water did not dominate air and the air elemental still stood at Shynthriir side. It stood proud at its inability to be moved from the rain storm, its form was hazy for it was made of air, it was mearly a blur in the space beside Shynthriir.
Shynthriir hair was going damp from the water, though his spirits did not. The battle had just begun, the crowd was wild, wild and wet, though they did not seem to care for the excitment of the duel was just begining and, already, the show was great.
You want a battle of storms? Shynthriir shouted to the crowd, this made them wilder than ever. Does this rain make you awe?! he continued to shout. Then prepare to be in the presense of rain more powerful than this! The crowd went in an uproar, they had no idea what Shynthriir would do, though he knew exactly what he would do.
He made sure to keep in away from the crowds, though the clouds gathered above the battle field once again, though these clouds were not gray, they were red. A meteor fell from the sky onto the battle field, the petty rain did nothing to stop it. This was the start of a meteor bombardment. Large flaming massed of melten rock raining down on the battle filed.
Geist - December 22, 2004 06:16 AM (GMT)
Geist grabbed the edges of his bench as the entire area began to shake with his Mteoer hit. Geist knew he could not run to his Guild Masters aid, and he knew he could fiend for himself, not that Geist would help much in this type of wheather anyway. Geist never trained for fighting in acoplaspe condintions, so he would be of little use here if he interfered. All he could do was grip his seat tightly and ride it out. "This mage is clever no doubt, I just hope Mith can overcome him and remain in forimble condintion." Geist thought as he kept a firm grip on the edge of the bench to keep from falling off.
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 04:15 PM (GMT)
((OCC:I am a storm kindler PrC it gives me control over storms and rain and tornados and hail and lightning.))
Mithranduir looked at the sky and saw his little storm turn aganist him. So he walked obver twords Shynthriir and two meteors hit him while he walked but they didn't do any noticible damamge. Though it did hurt. Then he summoned a storm and used control winds to start to push meteors into others. He then threw a dagger twords Shynthriir's leg hopefully hitting him.
He noticed Geist was in the stands he didn't want to let him down so he said Enough warm-up lets bump it up a notch shall we? As soon as he said that he ran twords him then he took flight and kept flying higher and higher then he stoped and began to freefall down to Shynthriir posistion Narsil in his right hand and Glamdaring in his left. He then brought both of them down hopefully hitting him in the two shoulders he was aiming for.
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 05:03 PM (GMT)
OOC: Ah, okay, makes sense. I don't know that most of the PrC allow you to do.
The storm had done some damage, and some was far better to do than none. He had won this battle, though surely the war was not over. As Mithranduir had just said, this was a warm up, Shynthriir had yet to tap into his true power. Bring it, he said under his breath.
Indeed, Mithranduir came charging, though within steeps, he was no longer charging by land, but by air. He took a powerful leap at Shynthriir, that was a mistake. It told Shynthriir where the attack was soming from, and Mithranduir couldn't very well change direction while he was in the air. Shynthriir always found that shen people attack by air, they were calling for a perfect counterattack, and that is just what Shynthriir did.
Shynthriir crouched low, crouching the moment that Mithranduir left the ground. He then jumped in the air himself. This was not just a jump, but a backflip, he was easily abole to do these type of battle stunts do to his training, always he was thinking of how lucky he was to have trained so hard. As he was finished the backflip, his hands were extended and pointing at Mithranduir, two magic missles, one out of each hand shot out at him.
Then Shynthriir's feet made conteact with the ground. Shynthriir was planing to attack with his scimitars, though he knew that he would need something better. He sheathed on as he made contact to the ground, his scimitars flared to life with raw magical enchantment. The edges of the blades gave off a slight hue of a color lime a rich ble mixed with white.
He then charged, his right blade pointed toward the ground as to not give away his attack to come, his left blade hovering across his chest for protection. As he neared, his right blade swung slightly outward, then curved back to towards Mithranduir's left hip, his left blade readied to block an incoming attack.
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 05:57 PM (GMT)
Mithranduir instnatly turned to gaseous form and the missles went right through him then he saw the attack coming and he felt a tingle in his thigh and looked straight into Synthriir eyes and jumped backwards. He pulled the blade out of him and tossed back to Shynthriir. He ran right behind it and threw his dagger at him hopefully hitting him.
Geist - December 22, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
Geist watched in awe as metoers collided with each other in midair before they could touch the ground. Geist released his seat and grinned at Miths dexterity as a melee battle broke out between the two men. Geist was happy about that, no more innocents were at risk to a harmless melee battle. Geist looked around and noticed quiet a few people had left due to the meteor shower. Geist shrugged, "Wimps." he muttered as he turned back to the fight. His eyes widen apon seeing Mith get injuried but he knew it had to happen, no one was invincable...
Master Ace - December 22, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
Master Ace was walking slowly to the academy with his mother. They had gather a few a herbs and spices for alchemicaly purposes. Both of them stoped dead in the tracks as a large storm cloud gather unnaturaly over the academy. Ace hoped it was merely some show off kid, but knew that that was an unlikely event. There were hardly any students to show off to. "Here, Hold this and stay here," Ace said as he gave his bag to Reis. Time itself seemed to slow to a stop as Ace sprinted to the academy courtyard.
With the aid of his spells he covered half a mile in less than a minute. In a blur of green light Ace appeared at the courtyard. Time returned to normal as Ace watched the event in the courrtyard. Ace was highly angry. Why does every mistake the academy for a battle gorund? "Mithranduir and Shynthriir stop this fight immediately. Does this courtyard look like an arena to either of you? If you fish to have a fight take it to the Taras arena or the open plains! I swear if you continue this fight here you shall not find the consequences pleasing! What have you two to say for yourselves?" Ace's voice boomed across the academy. It was undoubtable that they had heard him. Ace may have done nothing to stop Sargoth's fight, but he would do his best to stop this one. He hoped they would agree to take the fight elsewhere. He did not wish to hurt either of them.
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 09:33 PM (GMT)
Master Ace *bows* I am resonsible for this. Sargoth did this not 3 months ago. So I thought I could as well. Sometime's he hated Sargoth and other times he was gald.
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir barely dodges both of the launched attack, his tumbling and his speed both healing him. He stood back up to end up facing Master Ace, one of the teachers of the acadamy. Now, Shynthriir usually didn't place blame on other people, though he had the right to this time, for it was true after all, He called me, I am, he attacked first. I am sorry for this, and will gladly take this somewhere else if you wish.
Master Ace - December 22, 2004 10:30 PM (GMT)
"I am guessing you enjoyed it so much you wanted to share the joy with others. Just because Sargoth does something it does not mean you can or should follow. Next time you want to have a fight do not choose the academy for your battle ground. I pray for your sake that you have some reason to call upon Shynthriir other than the fact that Sargoth called upon you." Ace's voice was still anger as his emerald eyes focused upon Mithranduir. He was not at all pleased with Mithranduir's answer though he was glad that he had stopedthe fight. Sargoth would have been too stuborn to stop and take his fight elsewhere and Ace did not doubt that he had some reason behind his own fight.
Shynthriir - December 22, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
Shynthriir dropped the enchantments on his scimitars and, then sheathed one fo them. He leaned on the remaining blade and looked over in Mithranduir's direction, he too would like to know why Mithranduir's wanted to randomly challenge him to a fight, never had that happened to him before, though it was a nice little practice.
Geist - December 22, 2004 11:16 PM (GMT)
Geist silently cursed Ace for ruining his entertainment, it was after all a heated and enjoyable battle to watch. Geist watched as both Ace and Shynthriir stared at Mithranduir, he knew they wanted a answer for his actions, and Geist did not know the answer as well, but Geist had a better idea. He jumped to his feet and yelled out, "Take them both!". The crowd looked around quiet and mumured to people beside them before jumping up as well and cheering wildly. Geist grinned, if the audience had their way, all hell was about to break loose...
falcotank386 - December 23, 2004 03:31 PM (GMT)
Mithranduir turned to the crowd only one time and acknoledged their exsistence and said I will not take both. I won't attack Master Ace even if you were to pay me. He is a great teacher as well as a great friend. If you want to se the end of this match go to the Taras Arena! Then he walke over and stood by Master Ace.
Master Ace - December 23, 2004 07:32 PM (GMT)
Ace's peircing eyes snapped to Geist. He wondered if that fool had something to do with this mess. A crowd would not flock to see a fight they did not know about. The crowd was certainly not composed of students, after all there was a nasty shortage of those as well as teachers. Ace would have threatened the fool enough to silence the crowd, but luckly Mith spoke first. "Charming!," Ace said sarcasticly as his emerald eyes turned from Geist back to Mith. "Now do you mind telling us why this fight happened in the first place? It seems as though shynthriir does not have the answer either and would likely wish to have it. " Ace's voice sounded angry and cold though he tried to make it sound otherwise.
falcotank386 - December 23, 2004 07:55 PM (GMT)
Mithranduir looked at the crowd and they hushed instantly then he whispered to Ace I wanted to see what the Orodreth Ancalimë had to offer. I was tipped that he was at the academy and I wanted to fight him now. I guess my Impusiveness cost me. I will accept my punishment but don't punish him Master Ace I ask this as a student and a friend. Then he turned and waited for what Master Ace had to say.
Shynthriir - December 23, 2004 08:55 PM (GMT)
It seemed a very pointless reason to have a fight, though Shynthriir was honored that Mith asked Ace for none of the blame to be shifted on himself, though he still felt slightly responcable. He thought that Ace would have already set his mind to whatever he was thinking though and he took it that he could do nothing to sway him from his decision. He still stood, waiting to hear how things would turn out in this drastic change of events.
falcotank386 - December 23, 2004 09:01 PM (GMT)
Mithranduir went over to Shynthriir and said Shynthriir, you won't be blamed for this duel we had. I wanted to fight you to see what kind of people Kuya was bringing in for his guild. Sorry if I didn't tell you before. Please forgive me. He bowed and then relaxed and waited for Master Ace's final judgement.
Geist - December 24, 2004 01:27 AM (GMT)
Geist frowned, the battle would have been a epic one but Mith had stood down. He watched as Master Ace glared at him, Geist soon knew he out stayed his welcome. He quickly got up, turned 180 degrees before shoot to the top of the bleachers. Geist turned around as he reached the edge, he gave a sly grin before leaping off the bleachers and taking off for the forest.
Master Ace - December 24, 2004 09:42 PM (GMT)
Thousands of fitting punishment coursed through Ace's head. There were several jobs he could have Mithranduir do to fix up the academy. Somewhere past the anger that showed well in his face and voice, a spark of kindness surfaced. "I will accept your apology and forgive you. Just clean up this mess make sure I never find out about you fighting on the academy grounds again," Ace said as he stared at Mithranduir. Having done his job, Ace could back to his mother and Leave mith to clean up. "Also I think you may owe Shynthriir for acting so childishly," Master Ace said as he turned around and walked back the way he had come.
falcotank386 - December 27, 2004 05:11 PM (GMT)
Mithranduir saw the mess he and Shynthriir made he then turned to Shynthriir and said Please excuse my inmature act I wanted to see what the Oordroth guild had to offer. If you'll excuse me I have to pick up this mess. Then he turned on the heels of his feet and went to the nearest mess and started to move debris and repair tile.
