Title: A mistake in plan
The Hunter - December 18, 2004 08:08 PM (GMT)
Cenarius was running for his life. He had came with differnt hunters, but now he was the only one left. They had planned a riad for there tamed umbras. They failed, and now 4 were dead, 3 were cought, and 1 escaped. He felt guilty for leaveing them behind. He was being chased by 2 umbras now. Turning around, he loaded his bow and shot it. He killed one, but then the other jumped on top of him. "DIE FIEND!" he cried. He then stabed it with a arrow and it died. Throwing the beast off of him, he turned and looked back at where he had just came from. "Larodar, Anubris, Nandieb, Califax, Bandalar, Malorne, and Gholbine are all dead or cought. I must go back for those who survived. I must save them." he said to himself. He began to run back, arrow loaded in his bow.
Phedre - December 19, 2004 05:45 AM (GMT)
Phedre had been following the hunter in the trees for the past half mile, her assassin training keeping her movements silent. Her hair was loose and streamed behind her as she hopped down from the tree she was on to land in a crouched position infront of him. Her eyes shone a light gold and her hair fell to frame her face in soft shadows. She moved to stand upright fluidly. "You do know the slaughter of wild umbra's is not looked lightly upon," she said, her lips dancing with a seductive smile. Her Erinyes side had begun to take over and her movements were smooth and captivating. Her hands rested on her hips as she watched him, black feathered wings tipped in red softly twitched behind her. "What are you running from?" she asked, her hand hovering over her swords hilt. She took a step towards him, her same seductive smile on her crimson lips.

He had just gotten nearer to balefire when hearing a strange voice call out to him. "The shadows speak," he said, "I am guessing you are a guard?". Looking aroud, he continued to walk. He looked around to see if he could figure out who was calling his name. He was not alone, that he was for sure of. The wind was wispy and dry, the night cold and dark, almost like a dungeon. He would need to get pass her and back into Balefire to free his friends before it was to late. He then thought of taking off running, but then decided it was to risky. He found himself near this person now. It was only a matter of time untill it striked, or showed itself.
Phedre - December 19, 2004 07:36 PM (GMT)
Phedre stepped closer towards him until she was scant feet before his face. She wore the same seductive smile of her crimson lips and her hair still hung loosly around her face. There was a creature creeping up behind her, Falco, her dire tiger. It was he who took specifac offence to the killin gof the umbras. She asked him again, "What are you running from?" She appeared as a godly woman, her figure that of perfection and her look that of innocent beauty. Her hand still hovered over her sword's hilt as she awaited his reply. He looked frazzled and scattered, making Phedre wonder if he was all mentally there.
Falco reached Phedre's side his massive side pressed against her leg in a sign of protection. His fangs were bared and a soft rumble echoed in his throat... he was growling.

"I running from fear, but i have relized that the only way to break fear, is by faceing it." he said, his voice somewhat stern. He put the bow down, still loadsed and looked at the tiger. The creature looked as if it could be ridden. He then relized she was stronger then she looked. Much stronger. "As i see, your are a beautiful woman, but you are corrupted by Ernies demon." he said. This wasnt the bravest thing he had ever done in his life. He was looking a powerful being stright in the face, and yet not scared. No normal man could withstand this. He was nevrous, yet brave. Getting pass this would take a good plan, and swift movement and attack.
Phedre - December 20, 2004 03:42 AM (GMT)
Phedre yawned as he spoke, white fangs slipping from behind crimson lips. She half covered her mouth with a hand but the view was still mostly visible. "You are correct in a sense," she said to the man as she absent mindedly stroked the tiger's head, "facing you fear is good... to do on your own. Fear is a weakness to overcome. Facing fear in a position such as this can get your sweaty palms and racing heart in a series of troublesome events."
She smiled at him as he talked about her demon side. "I appreciate the compliment on my beauty," she said in a low, soothing voice, "but corruption is not the word used for my... kind." She ran a hand through her velvet black hair, "I am not corrupted by the Erinyes, I am the Erinyes. I cannot corrupt myself nor allow myself to be corrupted in that way." She gave him an intelligent smile and awaited his action or word in response. She decided to add one last thing, "if I was so corrupted, that little insult would have cost you an instant death," she smiled again, the beauty flooding to her eyes, "note now how you still breathe, have sweaty palms and have a heart that beats the rhythm of... fear."
The Hunter - December 20, 2004 05:21 AM (GMT)
"I am guided by the "Wind Bear" and the druids of my people," he said, "For they are the ones who give me such power, and they are the ones who lead my pathes.". He had been tought to trust "Wind Bear". But he knew that this woman only spoke of the darkness and death. "Fear is not easy to overcome. We elves of a differnt kind can almost overcome it." he said, looked at his bow.
He listened to her. Her beauty was remarkabel, but she wasnt. She was a cold-hearted murderer. "You are welcome, but i will never fall in love will someone as evil as you. It is not my nature and never will be." he said, giving her a stern look, "And if you are not corrupted, then what are you?". Shakeing his head, he looked at her again, "It was no insault, but only a fact. How could you kill one for stateing a fact?" he asked, "I guess i must do what i was souppose to do. Destory all evil." he said, and with that spoken, he lifted his bow and shot stright at her.
Phedre - December 20, 2004 08:31 PM (GMT)
If he hadn't shot at her, needing her to tumble backwards to only be grazed across the shoulder by the arrow, Phedre would have been rolling on the ground laughing. This man knew little of her or her kind, and it was apparent in how he spoke. She did not mind it though, ignorance is a gift in battle. Ignorance costs the fight for the beholder. She smiled as she rose to kneel on the ground, the burning from the graze on her shoulder pushed to the back of her mind. She had learned to tolerate pain, it was nothing compared to what she had dealt with before.
Falco was lunging towards the elf as soon as his bow was raised, and by now his two large front paw has connected with his shoulders and sent him toppling to the ground, pinned there by the mighty weight of the beast. Flaco's fangs were bared and his claws began to sink deeper and deeper into the hunter's flesh. He hesitated his kill, awaiting a command by Phedre.
She had managed to get to her feet and rotate her shoulder, a trickle of blood gliding from it's deapths. The wound itself was shallow and immited a slow trickle of blood as Phedre agitated it's surface with movement. Her sword was already unsheathed and her eyes were cold. She was attacked by a foolish man, and now he would have to pay. She slowly walked over to him, Falco heavy on his chesy making it impossible to move anything, let alone his arms. "Foolish would you not say?"
The Hunter - December 20, 2004 09:25 PM (GMT)
Cenarius looked at the beast. He then made eye to eye contact with him. Hunter had made good bonds with animals, but then he started to wonder if this animal could be tamed. He then just stoped and put his head down. He had to think of something fast before it was to late. He then heard footsteps of someone nearby. "Could they be coming to save my life?" he thought. He hen looked up at the erynies and smiled, "You think death is the end? That my soul will be forever gone? Maybe you havent learned yet. Maybe you need to take the time to relearn life. Murder is not the answer." he said, "And no, it wasnt foolish, just brave.".
He saw her with her sword out. Surely this couldnt be the end. He then saw te blood run down his arms and everywhere. She was nice at first, now evil? Just wasnt right. He then felt the pressence of a druid. A Woodland hero. Maybe he could get this animal off him. He then closed his eyes, and waited.
