Title: Evening Beginnings
Description: Open
Phedre - December 12, 2004 06:22 PM (GMT)
With a yawn Phedre awoke in one of the trees, her limbs stretched comfortably over a few of it's branches. The woods usual fog had settled for the light, scant amounts of moonlight barely broke through the trees. Phedre's hair hung loose, cascading down her back like a curtain of black shadows. Her eyes opened to a golden color and seemed to glitter in the scant light.
She stretched again, gathering up her things and hopped down from the tree onto one of the few completly solid parts of the wood. She smiled, turning her face up to the sky, "What a lovely night," she said lazily.
She looked around the woods in hopes to see someone or something around. She was completly alone and it was an uncomfortable rarity for the vampiress. Her dire tiger, Falco, usually was with her everywhere, but he finds Spiderhaunt far from welcoming. She heard a twig snap and her head jerked towards teh sound, hand hovering over her sword hilt.
Munwithurix - December 13, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix had hit a branch with her long tial and it made a cracking sound, she growled to herself as the woman she was stalking looked at her, the woman had an evil appreance to her which was different for a change because normally good people came to swamp. Her deep set eyes scanned the woman up and down, seeing that the woman had a hand over her sword hilt.
The black dragon stood up to her full height, for she had been crawling to stay hidden, she opened her wings to show how big she was. Munwithurix didn't give her usual grin because this person was of a different type, unlike the others she killed and tormented, and that the woman was about a hundred meters from a hole in the ground full of swamp water, it was covered by a tree but it didn't comfort Munwithurix that the woman was next to her tunnel that lead to her den and something else...
"What is a woman doing out here all by herself? You know it is dangerous to wander the swamps without a whole caravan," she said in her deep growling voice, "What is it in the swamp that makes you come here? Are you trying to get to Balefire? But why do Humans and other weak beings come into the swamp? There is nothing here unless you wish to kill a black dragon, and I am the only one, no one has killed me yet and I will make sure no one will kill me." She looked at the woman and then to her tunnel then back to the woman waiting for an answer.
Phedre - December 13, 2004 10:39 PM (GMT)
Phedre let out a growl of her own followed by curses in a raspy, low voice. She looked at the dragon and rolled her eyes. She had no fear of her, though her size was slightly awe inspiring. She ran a hand through her hair when the dragon spoke. Her dragon form would not speak human, she had to transform her vocal chords and muzzle to that comparable of a humans. She raised her brows a moved to cross her arms over her chest. "Not all women need caravans," she said slowly, "I protect myself. Other's just get in the way."
The dragon's eyes had shifted to the falled tree at her back, and Phedre's gold eyes glanced at it a moment. Was that a dark shadow of a hole beneath it? She didn't risk another glance back, instead she stared straight into the dragon's eyes. She was a full blooded creature, Phedre could feel the half blood of her dragon side screaming to get out. She held back her instinctal urges and continued to speak, "The swamp is a good quiet place," she said roughly, "not that you need explaining to."
She moved her hand to salute the dragon, deciding she was done answering questions. She raised a brow stating one more comment, "I figured no one had killed you yet, " she said with a sighing laugh, "you are standing infront of me. You'd make a fairly solid ghost."
She remained standing, her arms back over her chest and her eyes unblinking, watching the dragon. Her entire body itched to transform. She hadn't let her second for take hold of her since her deal with the devil. It rebelled against it's captivity now harder than ever.
Incubo_Mortale - December 14, 2004 02:47 AM (GMT)
Incubo treaded through the dank swamps of the Spiderhaunt Woods. He'd been here last night resting and forgotten his daggers high up in a tree. All he remembered was waking up with a glaive in his hand and a searing tatoo on his left shoulder blade, like it had been burned their. He couldn't remember why he had forgotten his two daggers and his glaive up their though...
Incubo began to recognize his surroundings, and knew he was getting closer, but he also noticed something else. He heard voices of two different beings. One was a human who he recognized, but couldn't quite but his finger on it, and a draconic voice. He pushed some leaves out of the way and saw two figures standing, facing each other. It was Phedre, and a black dragon. Even in the darkness he could see her long black hair and glowing golden eyes. Incubo sighed as he remembered how he had accidentally attacked Phedre during a flashback in his realm. He remembered how she spared his life and how rudely he returned the favor. He sighed again embarrased to show his face to her again so he turned around to leave, completely forgetting his weapons. He would come for them later. He took one step and it was the biggest mistake he could take at the moment. He stepped right on a large stick which snapped loudly under his foot. He cursed under his breath and turned around slowly. He punched a large redwood tree in frustration, cutting up his fist and allowing it to bleed freely. He knew Phedre would definatly think he was some sort of spy or bounty hunter. His life was sure to end here. Either by a swift slash of the sword, or by dragon. But perhaps the fact that he had no weapons on him would help him out. All Incubo could do now was hope that his second mistake was not his last...
Munwithurix - December 14, 2004 04:34 PM (GMT)
She watched the woman a moment longer thinking but before she could say anything there was a snap as a branch broke under pressure, Munwithurix turned her head and saw a man punching his fist into a tree, which didn't make any sense to her. She grinned for the scent of blood came towards her, freash, moist blood. It made her mouth water for it, but she was not going to attack without thinking. She hissed a spell to herself, Cause Fear, and then she filled her acid gland.
"You never gave me your answer in where your going, but that doesn't make a difference, I still would have killed you." she stood on her back legs making her even taller, something red glowed at her large claw and fire whip appeared in it, in her other hand a black orb appeared growing larger and darker, she used the spell ebon eyes to see through.
She spat acid at the man, it was hot and when it hit a targart it sank into their skin sometimes to the bones if it all hit. She lashed her tail back fourth, the barb on it ready to hit anyone who came in a fourteen foot radiece. She then spat acid on the ground next to the woman, if the more acid came the more fire there will be.

Incubo_Mortale - December 14, 2004 09:57 PM (GMT)
((OOC: Ah okie dok))
Incubo heard the word kill in a draconic like voice. He knew it was the dragon talking to Phedre. It was time to prove himself worthy. Incubo whirled around and got ready to charge, but saw a blot of acid towards him. As quickly as he he could he disappeared, reappering on a tree brach. He chuckled to himself, thinking that could of been the end then noticed something. Their was a burning hole in his cloak where the acid must have hit.
"Reflexes and speed are getting a bit rusty..." Incubo said to himself. In a near by tree Incubo saw his weaponry. Incubo jumped off the branch and kicked off the trunk for even greater speed. He kept his eye on the target and not on the dragon. He swung up a few branches and found himself standing on a branch with all three of his weapons dug into the bark of the tree. He tugged his two daggers out first and stood on guard. He was prepared to take on anything that the dragon or Phedre might throw at him next.
He spun his Assasin's dagger in his hand then sheathed. He put his free hand to his mouth and whistled loudly. Renor came running, kicking off a few trunks until he reached the branch Incubo was on. He growled at the black dragon then at Phedre, drool dripping down his mouth. Incubo bent down and whispered to Renor.
"Phedre is fine, let her go, it is the Black Dragon that is posing a threat to us right now. Unless Phedre decides she wants me dead also, don't let your guard down against the merciless Dragon. Remember, speed is of the essence here." Incubo stood back up, unsheathing his dagger again. "What is it that you want with me?" Incubo knew it was a dumb question but he did not want to start a fight. He had never been in combat with anyone during his time in Imythess, especially not against a dragon. Incubo's eyes were hard as they scanned the dragon up and down. His hand dripped blood freely onto the the branch. He knew it wasn't such a good thing to do around both a dragon and a vampire, but if it wasn't for the fact that his hand was soaked in it, he would not have noticed.
Phedre - December 14, 2004 11:35 PM (GMT)
Phedre opened her mouth to reply to the dragon when a twig snapped and the fight broke out. She cursed looking to and fro for a place to saunter off unnoticed, until she realized who the man was. rage pulsed into her veins, he sure resembled a bountry hunter to her. Her lips peeled back and her vampiric fangs grew to elonged, dagger like, teeth. SHe was beginning to loose control of her dragon side. The rage had knocked her off focus. She cursed and turned her back to the fight, jumping into the bushes to fully transform. Pooling around her feet were the remanance of her human form, a vile of blood hung on a chain, her clothing, and the silvery pile of her weapons.
She jumped from the bushes onto all fours, her dragon form a matching black to the other, she was a different breed... a half-shadow dragon. Her size was considerably smaller. The length of her body without her tail was 8 feet, her tail another 5 or so onto that. Her eyes were the same gold color, and with the addition of her demon counter-part, her usually black wings were now tipped in blood red.
She stalked towards the two locked in battle and let out a low growl. She would try to push the dragon off, leaving Incubo as a meal to last her the afternoon. She growled again, this time baring her white fangs, her tail lifting slightly off the ground to balance her weight. Her silver talons dug deep into the earth with every step. The black dragon did not look at her, so in turn, she growled louder, the force of the roar making the leaves quiver around them. She just wanted to scream for it to back off, but she continued on her vocalization in growls.
Incubo_Mortale - December 15, 2004 12:56 AM (GMT)
Incubo was very worried now. He was sure both the Black Dragon, and this new Shadow Dragon wanted him dead. He was afraid this was the end. Then he did the most unexpected thing one could do in this situation. He smirked looking down at the two dragons.
"It seems this will give me a chance to test my true power also..."
Incubo swiftly back flipped off the branch, landing on the ground. He flashedback to when Right had peirced his thoughts, and relived it. Incubo fell to hsi knees and clutched at his skull and screamed in the night air. Then he went silent and rose into the air, as if he was being pulled by the waist by an invisible rope. The lifted his body to a standing position, his arms at his sides and his fists clenched. Their was a golden aura around him. It looked like a bunch of ethereal needles sticking out of him. His eyes also changed. No longer were they the deep red like Renor's. Now a white light petruded from them, making it look like their were no eyes their to begin with. He had grown no larger, still making him the smallest their but that didn't bother him. When he spoke his voice was no longer human. It was completely demonic now.
"I don't know what I did to disturb you, Black Dragon, other than to fetch what I'd left here by mistake. But if it is a fight you want, it his a fight you'll get!" He pointed a dagger towards the Shadow Dragon. "Now what is it that you want? Are you related to this dragon? Whatever the matter is, it is none of your concern! This is between me Phedre and this Dragon." Incubo looked around but Phedre was now missing. She must have fled when she had the chance. "Or what now seems just me and this Black Dragon." He pointed a dagger at the Shadow Dragon. "Stay out of this."
Incubo's Demonic Mark on his left shoulder blade was burning, as if the presence of another Demonic Infused was still lurking about. He looked around at his surroundings but saw no one. He looked back at the Black Dragon who held a fire red lash that loosley hung and squirmed like a snake. He looked at the Dark Globe but couldn't see anything through it. It was blacker and darker than anything he had ever seen. He was ready to evade anything...
Ghan Hails - December 15, 2004 01:20 AM (GMT)
A cold eerie sound came from beneath the shadow. A sneer almost, no, not a sneer though, but a laugh. Blue green eyes danced as if they were drunken, watching the scene as it unfolded. A figure had been sitting there for many hourse, just watching silently but it somehow started to seem mighty funny to him. It was Ghan of course, Ghan Hails, he wasn't drunk though. It's hard to imagine that he isn't at times though. Some think him strange, but he lives off pain, fear, and war. He laughed at this, as if laughing into the face of danger, death, and everything else that could be said. Ghan laid on his back, watching silently again. He wore over some heavy clothes a long black cloak, it was plain, nothing special what so ever about it. Ghan didn't do much magic, he plans to one day though, which is another thing that made it weird. He knew that if he got them angry they could kill him in two seconds, but somehow he didn't have a care in the world. He got up, his mokingly blonde hair getting into his face before the blonde disapeared to a black. He started walking towards them, curious eyes looking at them as if they were harmless.
"Through the hours that have passed I still have yet to comprehend what is going on.." He said, smirking slightly behind his hood. He stood about 20 feet from them, not bothering to care that he was in the midst of something that wasn't all fun and games. He gave no signs of trying to kill them, yet he also gave no sign of wanting to end the fight. He just stood there quietly.
Phedre - December 15, 2004 10:00 PM (GMT)
Phedre growled and froze in place when she saw his transformation. She stood, stiff as stone, and merely blinked, thoughts surging through her head. She took a few steps back, second guessing her attack. She let out another growl at the other dragon, this one sounding as if telling it to back off. She turned her back on the two as she heard the sound of another man around them. She reared and slammed her front legs to the ground, the leaves shaking with the intense landing, dirt flying up from where she landed. A peircing roar blew from her muzzle, her eyes darkening and sinister. She caught sight of a small, weak looking man, and nearly broke into a human laugh. This would be much too easy in dragon form, almost as easy in her lady form.
She took to the forest, full gallop, her dragon feet immune to the sharp twigs and stones as they past under her. When she was well out of vision, she closed her eyes. Her wings shrunk to black feathered wings with red tips. Her skin turned it's natural pale hue and her claws shrinked into her normal fingernails. She looked down. She was nude from the transformation. Picking her way carefully back to the bush where she transformed she found her clothing and weapons. She donned them easily and prepared herself for the tussle with the spying male some 50 feet away.
She stalked through the bushed towards the man, seeing Incubo and the dragon through the corner of her eye. If they were to catch sight of her now, they may think she had just stolen away to the bushes to sneak up on them. It was better believed that way. She smiled as she hid behind a bush 10 feet from the strange man. She spoke in a low voice that seemed to drift through the air in a seductive hum. It was known to captivate even the most inhumane of men. "Step out and fight," she sung, "like a grown man."
Munwithurix - December 17, 2004 04:40 PM (GMT)
Munwithurix smiled then threw the giant dark orb, aimed at ther man who seemed to want to fight her the most, she spat acid through the orb which will catch the person by surprise. She then used cause fear again because it didn't seem to work last time. She cracked her whip ready to use it, she then turned when a man said something, and the man looked pretty weak...no, she had to keep her mind in the fight she would have to attack the other man when she was finished.
Watching the shadow dragon run off made her glare, dragons weren't suppose to runaway in a fight. She gave a loud hiss then the air started to get cold and she lifted her claw and a frosty orb formed in it, but instead of throwing it at the man she was fighting she spun around and threw it at the other man, if it missed it still would freeze anything nearby. Munwithurix cracked her whip, it caught a tree and turned it to fire, and the fire took well because most of the trees were dead. She went back to all four legs because it was to hard standing on her rear legs. The fire whip dragged across the ground as she walked slowly towards the water filled hole, incase the fire took off and the forest started to burn down.
Incubo_Mortale - December 17, 2004 08:12 PM (GMT)
He watched as the Black dragon ran off back into the forst. He smiled twistedly and back up at the dragon. He heard the words of a man behind him. He payed him no attention. All his attention was on the dark globe and what could possibly be inside it. Was their a fireball in it? Or was it a trick to get him to move to a certain place. The globe could not do anydamage just by itself. Then the dragon threw it it right at him. Incubo just ceased his floating and landed swiftly on the ground. The globe flew over his head and hit a tree. He smiled, but it was soon banished he saw a green gas come from it. Acid!... Incubo coughed and ran to a tree and ran up to a branch. He stood on that, but when he looked at the dragon, he felt a drop of sweat roll down him. He was suddenly afraid of this mighty dragon. Incubo usually feared no one! He kept his calm though. He caught a glimpse of the man that had spoken before but he also saw that the Dragon had thrown an ice orb at him just as that happened, the Dragon's lash came snaking toward him. He had no time to think so he jumped off it, falling quite away down. He landed in his left foot a bit funny as he heard a very tiny crack sound. The sound ones knuckles have when they are cracked. He grabbed it, not wanting to risk making it worse, and a blue glow came from his hand. The minor injury was healed and he was back to normal. He looked up to see falling pieces of wood on fire coming towrds him. He ran once again and was now just in front of a large bush.
"Dragon! You still haven't answered my question! Why do you attack?!" Incubo thundered. He noticed that Renor was no where to be seen. He saw pawprints of his leading away from the scene. He must have been hit with Cause Fear... It was times like these where Incubo really wished he had an epic spell on hand...
Phedre - December 17, 2004 09:03 PM (GMT)
Phedre seemed to ignore the commotion around her. Licks of flame danced to her right where the two remained locked in battle. Just as she risked a glance away from the strange man a blue orb shattered before her. Phedre jumped back just in time, the shattering orb froze everything around it. A whisp from the orb blew towards her, ending as it touched the tips of her night black hair, coating it's ends in an icy blue freeze. It gave a small amout of weight to her head, but nothing she couldn't deal with.
She looked once more at the man who lay tumble on the ground looking to see if any of the ice orb had caught him. This dragon had a lot of tricks up her sleeve, so it seemed. Phedre unsheathed her dagger and pointed it at the man, "Speak wretch," she growled, patience gone and headache returning. When he said nothing in response she continued, "if your choice is to cower your death with be long, drawn out, and painful. I honour strength and courage, not this folly."
Ghan Hails - December 18, 2004 12:01 AM (GMT)
"You speak of me as a child.. As I am foolish.. Why, yes, I am a foolish one.. But, I am no coward.." Ghan said. He had already stepped into the light. In fact, he had been standing there for quite some time. But, he was always being looked right over. No one seemed to care, and neither did he. "I do not wish to fight, but to watch.." He said, a smirk dancing over his lips. "Have to observe masters at play before mastering anything.. If I hid, you would've tried to kill me without speaking would you not?" He said. Just as that he said that a frosty orb whipped right past him. He had dodged just in time, but not time enough. It hit part of his arm, freezing it into place. "Wow, that was nice.." He said, taking his hood from his face with the other hand. "But, I'd have more control if I were you.. As someone once said: 'Before power you must first learn control, if you don't power is nothing.' "Maybe I'll lend you the book sometime.." He said, watching this with his hands in his pockets. Ghan was a very smart sometimes, but also very foolish. For most of his life he was learning about techniques of fighting and about magic, and now he was going to learn how to use the power he was given. Ghan viewed life as a test: 'You must study all aspects before diving in or you will be lost in a sea of uncomprehension' he always said. He stood there very idle, just watching until something would happen.
Munwithurix - December 18, 2004 04:21 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix stood at the side of her water hole and listened to what the man had to say then gave a sissing sound which was a laugh, "I would think someone as smart as you would figure it out, I am a predator I find, stalk and kill my prey, I need food to survive the same like you, it's just the way of life. And it is amusing to me sometimes." she watched the fire burn and the smoke made it hard to see. She wasn't sure where anyone was at the moment, but she dind't care, she wasn't the one in danger of the fire and smoke, but it did mean she wasn't going to have anything to eat...
Tail lashing, mouth dripping with acid and claws digging into the ground, she hoped someone would survive so she could eat...she was very hungry...
She opened her mouth and spat acid into the smoke a few times and then started to think to herself. Maybe I should go and find food somewhere else...no! I have to wait until the fire goes away. Hissing with impatiances, she turned and looked into the water which was all mirky and had pieces of bones at the bottom. She started to think what she would do if someone lived through the fire, she could use a fireball of she could freeze them or... the options went on and on. She then searched the smoke with her deep eyes but only saw smoke, she growled something to herself then crouched and waited.
Phedre - December 19, 2004 12:20 AM (GMT)
The smoke was thickening, and beginning to make Phedre's eyes water. She held back a string of curses she would have directed at the dragon and focused on the man. He was ignorant, which was especially amusing considering he thought he was intelligent. "I would call you more than foolish," she said softly, her muscles twiching as she faught the urge to stab him right then and there. Mayhap she would leave him for the dragon. Phedre tried to listen for the black creature, still looking at the man, at least she had reasoning behind this fighting. Phedre had sensed a den nearby, she was just too tired to care when she lay to rest in a tree nearby it. She continued to speak to the man, "you act as though you are a man of education, a scholar perhaps," Phedre began, her heart beating madly in her ears as she felt the rage in her viens pulse through her body, "but you act like a child, a young, ignorant, stupid child."
She ran a hand through her hair hoping to steady her anger, "you think to lecture us about control when you can't even control your mind? We have more control than 12 of you combined," she rested her hand of her sword hilt. She inhaled slowly continuing, "and you are wrong about hiding and being killed. No matter what you would have done, you will be killed. An unwanted observer is not only a neusance, but also a witness. Why leave those lying around? If you wanted someone to watch, you should have gone to the training academies, you weren't wanted here."
Ghan Hails - December 19, 2004 01:05 AM (GMT)
Ghan grinned, watching the dragon quietly. "I know why you hunt. It is not only to keep living, but as an instinct.. Truely facinating.." He said. He just stood there, not really amazed or in awe. The smoke rose in through his nostrils, he breathed it in as it was a heavenly aroma even though he was not a pyro or anything of the sort; it reminded him of sweet pain. "Who said I'm smart? If I were smart, as most would say, I wouldn't walk into the many battles that I have.. Sorry for intruding.." He said, putting an emphasis on 'intruding' slightly. "I came here to watch the fight, not to talk.." He said. "But, yes, I do act like a child.. Mostly because half the talk is mostly jokes that no one understands and are not really funny.." He looked towards where he thought the dragon would be. "And to tell you, I was kidding about the control thing.." He said. He didn't quite like this. Usually the others would just shoot at him and go on fighting, but now they talked as if they didn't understand. "Why would the Academy like me to be there huh? Plus, I've gone to plenty and all of them are quite boring. 'To learn you must learn first hand..' someone once said. I might as well find something that interests me.." He said, a smirk again dancing on his lips.
He sat down a few feet away, looking up at them. "Plus, why would anyone want to kill someone who doesn't care if he dies? It's just no fun.. No purpose.. So, don't mind me.. I won't whisper if you don't attack.. You can go on dancing the darkness away, two blue green eyes can't stop you can it?" He asked with a slight laugh, a bit of making fun of himself. He knew he couldn't beat up any of them, and he also knew that he wasn't worth the fight. This was one of the reasons he was never afraid, besides the fact that he is engrossed in darkness and death.
Incubo_Mortale - December 19, 2004 01:48 AM (GMT)
Incubo was becoming irritated both by the man and the smoke. This man spoke as if fighting was just an entertainment for one. He spoke as if Black Dragon's were the least of our worries as of now. Incubo moved through the smoke, levitaing. He found the silhouettes of Phedre and the man bickering.
"You speak as if nothing here can harm you, like that of a God or Goddess. And I sense you aren't near those stages yet. You speak foolishly indeed." Incubo stopped as he heard the sound of the dragon sitting down. He was relieved to hear the dragon would not fight until the smoke settled. "Your words seem to make no sense to anyone but you. You act like you are just here to be entertained and learn of the arts of fighting. Well I have some combat tips for you young one..." Incubo moved through the smoke revealing himself. "When you are in a battle zone, you are apart of the battle."
Incubo disappeared then reappeared behind the man. He raised his hand, Assasin's dagger in it, and came down with it. He was attempting to stun the man with the hilt of his dagger. Perhaps he could prove to be more useful in that state than in his ignorant, consciense state...
Phedre - December 19, 2004 04:58 AM (GMT)
Phedre let out a sigh when Incubo emerged from the smoke, whether it was a sigh of relief, fatigue or annoyance, even she wasn't sure. She turned her back on the two men, trusting Incubo to take care of the nucience, and walked towards the dragon's heavy breathing. She had to squint when she walked so the heavy smoke wouldn't burn or blind her eyes. She figured she could talk to the creature. Phedre respected dragons as not only creatures of strength of also as mages and extreme intelligence.
Phedre pulled her night, black hair back into a twisted cable that hung loosly down between her shoulder blades, out of her way. Her gold eyes were barely visible through the fog, they were squinted together so closely. Finally she emerged in a somewhat clearing, where Phedre had met the dragon earlier. She saw a large figure looming before her, and assumed it was the dragon, and slowly moved towards the waters edge. She dunked her hands in and splashed the oddly clean water over her face, hair and neck. She caught glimpses of the skulls at the bottom and made a note in her head to this fashionable design. She couldn't help but smile as she got back to her feet and turned to the shadowy figure. "Are we able to have a discussion without acid and burning, for a moment?" she asked softly, her arms crossed over her chest.
Ghan Hails - December 19, 2004 11:28 PM (GMT)
Ghan turned just in time to dodge the hilt of the dagger. He grabbed Incubo's hand that laid on the dagger for a moment. "Thanks for the tip.." He said. "I'll try to remember that.." He said, taking his hand away and looking to where he thought the dragon was. "Good luck there missy.." He smirked. "Never know if you're going to need it.. But, there's always a chance, even if it's small, that you might not claim victory." He looked to Incubo. "When your half dead from the day of birth your worry of death will never be with you as long as you live.." He said. "The thing is, is that's exactly right.. A good job to you ol' chap.." He smirked. "I am only here to learn the art of fighting.." He said. "So, you can either try to kill the thing who wants to eat you, or you can waist precious time conversing with a weakling who isn't trying to harm anyone just yet.. Either way I'll learn from it.." He said. "The more power you give to a weakling, the more dangerous he gets.." He said, implying that the more he tries to shut him up, the more Ghan would have to talk and the more time would be wasted. "Because why you might ask? His personality changes with power.." He said quietly.
Incubo_Mortale - December 20, 2004 12:59 AM (GMT)
Incubo could honestly say he hadn't tried, or at least hadn't expected to hit him. He could also say that he had underestimated him a bit though. He tugged his wrist away with a snarl. Incubo spun his dagger, then sheathed it. He moved up a couple steps in front of the man. He looked at where the Dragon and Phedre would be, but he couldn't see through the smoke. He breathed in deeply, smoke was quite common from his old realm. It was a minor stress reliever from what had just happened. Incubo let go of his Demonic form and his eyes returned a that same deep red, but thin red wisps levitated up from them. The golden aura was gone and he could no longer levitate. That wasn't a very big loss to him though. Now it was easier to see through the smoke. The light from his aura and eyes had interupted his sight through smoke.
"I would never try to kill a Dragon unless completely forced to. I fight my battles without attacking much. I evade those sronger than I and attack those that just get in the way." Incubo put his hands in his cloak pockets. "I do not attempt to kill innocent. And so far this Dragon is innocent. I could have fled at the first sign of hostility. I'm confident this Dragon will have quite a difficult time trying to eat me. And as of now..." Incubo raised his arms in the air, "... You will learn nothing since it looks like their will be no fighting going on..." He stuffed his hands in his pockets again. "So I could either talk the Dragon out of killing me also, or keep you occupied." Incubo finished turning back to the man. "So what do they call you?"
Munwithurix - December 20, 2004 01:37 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix gave a low hiss when the woman put her hands in the water and splashed it on herself, she then gave a louder hiss when the woman talked, "And why would you wish to talk to me?" growling she jumped into the water but kept her head above so she could watch the woman, now there wasn't much room in the water, "The only thing you need to know is that I am a black dragon, the only black dragon in these swamps, I eat whatever comes to me and I live here. What else is there to talk about?" her voice growing slightly louder and angry.
Her legs paddled lightly to stay above the swamp water, she did not like talking to people for humans were lower then a dragon, and they were not as smart and cunning. The smoke was heavy but the fire had seem to disappear from sight, which frustrated her even more, she wanted it to stay to burn the people, but if they died by inhaling enough smoke then the bodies wouldn't be wasted. She thought for a moment about the hole where she was, if the woman tried going into the water Munwithurix would have to get out and jumped back making the woman have a head start...pondering this she focused all her attention on the woman, then she opened her wings to make it even harder for anyone to jump in, now she lifted herself by her strong wings instead of paddling.
Phedre - December 20, 2004 03:27 AM (GMT)
Phedre rolled her eyes. This was one of those stubborn and stuck up dragons. She had met many before. Usually their kind know of thier intelligence and use it in fun or other matters, but putting themselves on a pedistal wasn't showing for an appreciated dragon. She ran her hand through her hair and stared straight into the black dragon's eyes, her own level and solid, "You need to relax a moment," she began, moving her hand to her sword hilt for a scant moment. "I'm sure you're hungry, and there is two fine fellows there for you to much on," Phedre motioned to the noises of the men without turning in that direction, "so you can lend me one, unhostile minute of your time."
Phedre plunked herself down on the ground, a sign that she wasn't going to try anything and continued on her speech, "I come here for solitude and mayhap a little rest every odd time," her voice was amused but respectful, "now I know you're a big girl, but I think we can arrange some sort of deal where I can have a section of oh," she paused, looking like she was thinking, "5 trees or so." She gave a wry smile and proceeded, "I don't come here to hunt you, or even look at you for that matter, and the only reason why I came so nearby to your den," she motioned to the shadowy hole nearby, "is because I was too tired to notice it earlier. Now if you want to be hostile, I can deal with it." She laughed, "not kill you deal with it mind you, you're a little too cunning for that." She got to her feet and dusted off her bottom, "What say you to that?" It was a more than fair deal.
Ghan Hails - December 21, 2004 01:36 AM (GMT)
Ghan grinned, watching the man quietly. He always seemed to have fun, it was his nature, even if it was at anothers expense. He didn't like humans though, he thought they were ignorant and had no morals. 'Half will kill thousands for no reason what-so-ever and the other half will be so miserable that their life is worthless. The only ones worthy, are the ones who are able to set free the souls of the world without anger or happiness' as he once said. It was both survival of the fittest no matter what words you used in it. He hid a smirk underneath that childish grin as he spoke. "I guess you speak to decieve because I am learning right now from what you just said and how you spoke it.." He said, looking up to the sky a moment before his gaze went right back from whence(sp?) it came.
"You seem wise for someone who tried to shut me up so soon.." He said light heartedly. "Killing innocent with no reason is life or death.. And sometimes the killing with a reason is the same senario." He didn't explain much on this, he didn't have much to say on his beliefs. Half of his life he was told what to believe, to this day he still struggles to learn about himself. He looked to where he believed the dragon and the woman were. He heard them, not as clear as some, but he did. "So why do you choose to keep me occupied? Not much on talking or something?" He said. "It isn't that hard for me, I taste like rotten eggs.." He said, knowing this to be true; he once drank his own blood to keep him from loosing control over himself. "Ghan Hails. And you?" He said simply, staring into the same direction he thought they seemed to be.
Incubo_Mortale - December 22, 2004 09:00 PM (GMT)
Incubo shook his head in shame. He had heard what Phedre had said. Ever since he'd become a Barbazu, his senses had become much sharper. He supposed this is the reputation she was talking about. It didn't bother him though. He still wanted to be her "freind" though. Deceiving was to be expected with people of Unholy. He was prepared for an attack by the both of them at any given moment.
"I choose to talk to you because of the fact that I'm sure to be killed if I tread towards Phedre and the Black Dragon. I have a feeling Phedre really doesn't like me much, or at least would kill me if she had the chance. Besides, you wouldn't be learning anything if know one was here to talk to you." Incubo smirked. "I am Incubo Mortale."
((OOC: Sorry for the short post >.<))
Ghan Hails - December 24, 2004 01:19 AM (GMT)
"Oh.. I see.. But, I have a feeling Phedre, which I believe you have called her, doesn't like too many at all. An animal, or any other being, cannot control their nature as well as nature cannot change itself. I wouldn't take things too hard. As they say every rose has its thorns and some are sharper than others.." He smirked. "Some unbreakable, some mortal, some unaparent, but all there. If there weren't thorns life would forever be the same and nothing would be interesting. Creatures would waste through life as sap slowly from a tree, slow as a tortoise." He sighed boredly. His eyes wandered even though there was not much to look at. "Interesting name.." He said simply. "You're not completely right, Incubo, one can learn many things without having anything happen specifically to him. To watch life is to learn, no matter what is happening in it. One of the best ways to learn is observance."
Munwithurix - January 9, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
Munwithurix thought for a moment then said dully, "No," she filled her acid gland and glared at the woman, "I make no deals with anyone unless I knew I was getting food or power. You must leave now or I will kill you and the two others." She gave a hiss and jumped out of the water her claws digging into the ground.
She gave a sigh and started to let the magic go into her, waiting for the woman to do something, she then transformed into a woman with dark hair, skin, and eyes which had an evil look. Munwithurix knew she would be able to control the magic better if she was able to stand on two feet. She wore a dark dress which she didn't like very much.
She lifted her hand and made a small fireball and in the other hand she made a dark orb, "Leave now! Or I will kill you!" she shouted and shot the fireball at the woman. She then turned and threw the other orb into the smoke where the men where. She made a firewhip come to her left hand and made another dark orb appear. "Leave my land!"
Phedre - January 9, 2005 05:40 AM (GMT)
((OOC: Anyone a part of this RP may pm me or post here to give their reply. I can't see this going much of anywhere, and when I try to slip in a twist it always comes back with the same reply, "DEATH." That is fine, though right now some what boring. Are we ending this or continuing in the endless sprial?))
