Title: A Dragon's Tale
Description: Open to anyone

Astalder - December 9, 2004 10:09 PM (GMT)
Astalder walked through the doors of the Library. His sword clanked noisely against his side. He walked over to the 'D' section of the books and skipped his fingers on the the spines of the book until he reached one that seemed interesting. Engraved on the spine with stringy gold press, was "A Dragon's Tale". This seemed to prove worthy of reading considering he was quite interested on the where abouts, lifestyles, and actions of dragons mixed with some fairy tale tellings. He found a chair and laid his elegant harp against a large redwood wall. He unbuckled his belt that held the scabbard of his saber. He sat in a seat closest to him and opened the cover of the book where the title was again. He skimmed through the chapter pages and prelude until he got to the first chapter, "A Baby Dragon's Ember."

"A giant Dragon's egg lay in a crude straw nest on the brink of a red rock cliff. Guarding the tiny egg was a great Fire dragon. The other Dragon's of the tribe had called her Sheil. She stood on top of the cliff looking down at soaring dragons makeing sure her infant was not harmed. A small cracking sound seemed to BOOM across the silent area. Sheil's nostrals flared as thin smoke floated up. She roared loudly that shook the entire cliff. Small rocks tumbled down the steep mountain side as Sheil screamed. She blew a great firestorm into the air at last the small dragon emerged from it's shell. The new born Dragon shook off the shell peice on his had and stretched out his leathery wings. He yawned widely and looked up with big orange eyes at the first thing he saw. His eyes rested on Sheil who he stamped into his mind as his mother..."

Astalder heard the sound of footsteps approaching, so he lowered the book from his face, revealing his Hazelish eyes...

Finduilas - December 12, 2004 04:29 PM (GMT)
A snow white wolf slowly walked into the library her nails tapping across the tile floor as she looked around her bright white fur dripping wet. Panting heavily as if she had been running she walked towards Astalder and shook herself off spending crystal like water droplets everywhere.

Her bright green eyes turned back to Astalder and her face held an expression of laughter. The wolf wagged her tail and layed down by his feet. She did not know the man other then having ran with him once before but she figure id she wanted otu the ran she best look like someone's pet.

Astalder - December 12, 2004 04:47 PM (GMT)
Astalder looked down at the wolf he had met in the Debon Plains. He recognized her because of her bright green eyes. He put his book down and ruffled te wolf's hair on her head.

"Well, aren't you a familiar face?" Astalder smiled down at the wolf. "You aren't quite like other wolves though. I don't see your type come into a library much. Here let me get you a towel."

Astalder walked over to the librarian. "Excuse me, you wouldn't happen to have any towels for those that have come in from the rain?"

Finduilas - December 12, 2004 04:57 PM (GMT)
Standing up Finduilas streatched her back legs and let out a large yawn before looking over to where the elf had gone. She smiled he seemed nice enough yet at the same very stupid to have yet to regonize her for a werewolf.

Smiling her wolf grin she trotted over to one of the windows and looked out to the stormy skies. To her suprise the full moon was starting to be covered by the stormy clouds. She had to find some place safe to transform back into her human from.

Running around like a rapid wolf she looked in every asile but could not find a place without people. KNowing nothing else to do she ducked under a near by table and started to transform.

Astalder - December 12, 2004 06:45 PM (GMT)
Astalder returned with a towel. He wiped off his moist hands from petting the wolf. When Astalder returned he noticed something was different. The wolf he had met so many times was missing. Now their a was a slender young woman standing nearby. Quite a beautiful woman, noted. He nodded to her and sat back in his seat to read the book he picked up.

"Crazy green eyed wo-" Astalder stopped. He looked up from his book and at the woman still standing by the table. She had the same bright green eyes as the wolf. Of course! She's a werewolf. Why hadn't I seen that before? He walked up to the woman and bowed lowely, kissing her hand.

"It is a pleasure to meet you miss. I don't believe I've met a werewolf in person before," said Astalder, rising. He smiled at her.

Finduilas - December 12, 2004 07:26 PM (GMT)
"You didn't see anything." Finduilas snapped quickly as the man stood back up from his bow. Pulling her hand from his she pulled her cloak tightly around her and pulled the hood up.

Hidding her face she headed towards the door to leave and into the stormy city. She did not want it to be known that she was a werewolf and this elf was only going to let it be known.

Astalder - December 12, 2004 07:36 PM (GMT)
Astalder looked confused. As the woman ran out, he had followed out the door. Once he had opened though she was no where to be seen, not even wolf tracks. Astalder shook his head a returned to the library to catch up on his reading...

Finduilas - December 12, 2004 07:43 PM (GMT)
Findulias crouched low in one of the gutter beside the library longing to escape the cold and ran but knowing better then return to the library. She didn't know who that man was but he knew her secert and that was something that did not need to be known by all those in the library.

"I'll just have to courner him when he leaves." She whispered to herself as she trimbled with cold. As she crouched their the clouds moved away from in front of the moon and once agina she returned to the form of the snow white wolf with bright green eyes.

Astalder - December 12, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
"...As Sheil fell to the ground, a black arrow piercing her heart, she let out a great cry and lay down motionless."

The End

Astalder smiled as he finished. Quite an interesting book. He shut it and returned it to it's original slot. Astalder looked out the window and noticed it was dark. "I should be heading out..." He murmered to himself. He packed his harp, and strapped his blade up. He walked outside and saw the rain had stopped, but their were miscelaneous puddles about. Astalder sesned something was wrong, but it was probably the fact that it was night, and a crummy one for that. In anycase, Astalder's hand twitched nervously over the handle of his Elven Blade as he trudged along to find an Inn...

Finduilas - December 12, 2004 08:15 PM (GMT)
Finduilas stocked him through the night in the shadows making sure that she could not be heard. Watching the elf with bright green eyes she took her chance to reappear to him when teh clouds covered the moon once again.

Turning human once agian she stepped out before the man lower her cloak hood. "I need to talk to you sir... " She said in her whispered of a voice that was strangely calm.

Astalder - December 12, 2004 08:27 PM (GMT)
Astalder's footsteps sounded muffled on the cobblestone path. He looked up at the large yellow moon in the night sky. He listened to how silent it was around him. He didn't like it at all. He heard a whisper that sounded like a shout in the silent night. He spun around quickly unsheathing his sword and pointing it at the cloaked figure. He looked at the what seemed just a silhoutte of a person, draped in a cloak.

"About what stranger?" He stared at the person with hard eyes. He tightned and relaxed his hand, ready to smite the stranger with a lightning bolt if it came down to it.

Finduilas - December 12, 2004 08:42 PM (GMT)
"You know of my curse... you have seen me in both forms... I want to your word you will not tell anyone." Finduilas whispered not scard of the weapon she woulc only be killed with a silver straight to the heart. "You know what I am... I do not want to have to remove your tounge to keep you shut elf." She added wtih a hint of a growl to her voice.

She looked at the weapon and moved closer to the elf gently pushing the sword away. "You can't kill me just like that." She said looking at him with her bright green eyes.

Astalder - December 12, 2004 09:20 PM (GMT)
It was the werewolf that had fled him in the library a couple hours ago. He sheathed his sword, knowing it wouldn't do much to her. He sighed deeply.

"I had no intentions of telling anyone in the first place. And if you really want it such a secret, then I promise to forget all about it." He started at the bright green eyes that looked more like emeralds. "And if I were to tell anyone, that would be quite a possibility..." Astalder disappeared and reappeared behind Finduilas "... You would have to be very quick to cut my tongue out." Astalder said crossly and stepped backwards. He thought to himself: I really need a bow and arrow...

Finduilas - December 13, 2004 12:34 AM (GMT)
Turning aroung quickly she let out a low growl as slashed out a hand at him. Catching hold of his arm she attempted to sink her claw like nails into his flesh. "We are of the same guild and I was invited into it... I doubt you would like it if I took this manner to Kuya and yes he knows what I am." She said baring her teeth dangerously.

She looked into his eyes with her bright green ones telling him she would not hurt him by choice and was only holding him like she was because he had challanged her. Releasing him for her grip she continued to look him in the eyes not scard of him or of anything he could do to her. Something told Finduilas he would not spill knowlage of her curse.

"What is your name?" She asked him still looking the male elf in the eyes without blinking. "I want to know the name of one of the three males who know of my curse. And for your own knowledge I am known as Finduilas." She told him.

Astalder - December 13, 2004 05:10 PM (GMT)
"I was also invited into the guild, and Kuya has seen me in proper behavior. He knows I have good reasons for my bidding. That was no challenge, that was just to inform you... But it seems," Astalder lifted his sleeve revealing tiny bruise marks running down it, "... I'd underestimated you. As for your so called "curse", I believe it is much more of a gift. I believe you could use it to your advantage." Astalder paused then went on. "Considering you've told me your name, I think it's only fair to tell you mine. My name is Astalder, I come from the land of Faitheniir. It's..." Astalder searched for the right word. "... Been interesting meeting you. I suppose after trying to kill me, now you'll hire a bounty hunter to kill me?" Astalder stared at Finduilas not fearing what she could cook up next. Hey knew his sword would not do much but if needed he would use it.

Trith - January 24, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
Suddenly a Guardian Angel named Trith stepped out of the inn Findulias and Astalder were talking in front of. Trith has known Findulias and Astalder for 3 months without realizing that they knew eachother. "How are you Astalder? You look well Findualis".He was aware that Findulias was a werewolf and that she only had 1/2 control over her wolf self. So he always had a silver arrow and crossbow ready to shoot. Trith said, "You both should get a little bit of rest."
