Title: A mistake
Linye - December 5, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
Linye was in a particularly foul mood as she entered into the place known as the Bloodseal Tavern and she let the door slam shut behind her. Though none of the inhabitants within the large square room jumped at the noise, a few of the more drunk members did curse her. She hissed at those few, her lips pulling back from her sharply pointed teeth.
Through narrowed gold eyes she scanned the room and, to her disappointment, found that there were no empty tables, only seats at the bar. And so she began her journey from the door to the bar, weaving between the tables with such a grace that it seemed she were gliding.
As she sat, she pushed back both the hood of her cloak and the black cloak itself. Now that the cloak was out of the way, both her outfit and what she held could be seen. The outfit was what she normally wore; a dress with black skirts and black bodice with purple trim, and pieces of indigo ribbon tied in bows around her wrists and neck. Held within her two arms was a doll; stitched in gold eyes, black yarn for hair, red foxes ears and tail, and a random outfit made by the owner.
“Would ya’ lookie here!” A man drawled, he obviously being drunk by his attitude... Or at least he was on his way there. “The wittle lass has a doll!” He and his friends laughed and then, before Linye could stop him, he took her doll.
She was standing in a second, glaring up at the drunk man through gold eyes filled with anger and hate.
“Give..her..back.” She spoke then clenched teeth, for the moment able to resist the urge of lunging at him. “Kitsune is mine!”
“Then why don’t you come and get her,” the man replied, holding it high above his head and taunting her with it.
She snarled and leapt at him, her fangs now bared once more and she went for his throat as her momentum combined with her slight weight sent both herself and him crashing to the floor. The man in question seemed almost shocked as she went for his throat but he roughly shoved her off. She didn’t even pause after this, merely went for him again, her nails leaving a long bloody trail down his face.

Ghan sat nearby, watching the child attack the man. He smirked under his hood quietly at this. Who was Ghan Hails? Not many people knew him. His blue green eyes seemed to twinkle in delight as he saw the blood. It tempted him for his hunger seemed to be growing rapidly from lack of human life in him. His black hair and strong figure was hid by his dark cloak. He never dared to take his cloak off, nor to take the hood from his face. He hid in the shadows, just watching this with a smirk. Chaos seemed to always be around him, and he hardly had to lift a finger for his own sick entertainment. Some would say he was sick. Some would say that he needed help, that he needed to find another hobby other than watching death and pain over and over again with the same sick enjoyment. He wished he had a pipe to smoke, but unfortuately the last time he smoked he "Accidently" set the place on fire and it too burned to ashes with the rest of the bar. Instead, he lit a match and smelled the smoke as it made the match turn to ashes. He let the ashes fall lazily to the ground and sighed, idling as he waited for something to happen that interested him. He looked at Linye again quietly, seemingly uninterested now.
"Poor boy.. Doesn't know what not to do... You do not steal a dolly from a lady.. She'll rip your arms, and drink the essence of life, from your meaningless body. Such a foolish one.." He shook his head with a sloppy smirk. He looked to the bartender. "A bloody mary.." He smirked. The bartender knew what he meant. He wanted a little blood and whiskey. A flask was pushed to him and he caught it with ease, drinking as he watched.

Again the man tried to push her off but this time she dug her nails into the skin about his shoulders and her teeth found his neck. Despite what those about them seemed to think, she wasn’t a vampire and she didn’t drink human blood.. No, that wasn’t why she’d gone for his neck and it became apparent as Linye tore through the soft, pliable flesh around the man’s throat, tearing through the main artery and then she sat back on his chest and looked down at her work, most of the anger she felt now gone.
Where the man’s throat should be was but a gaping hole and a bloody mess, that same blood smeared across Linye’s face. She didn’t bend down to drink the drink that welled up, she merely wiped the blood on her hands off onto the man’s clothes.
She licked the blood from her lips and stood, retrieving her doll from the dead man’s grip as she did. “There now Kitsune, you’re safe again...” She trailed off and nodded, her eyes scanning through the room in search of something or someone and then they landed on Ghan. A vampire or partly so.
“Would you care for the moron’s blood?” She asked him, though some of the human’s blood had already spilled out and was pooling around him on the floor.

"Sorry.. Even though I'm hungry the man probably is no good.." He said with a sigh. "Only the innocents taste good.." He said. "They seem sweeter than the rest.. Taking what good there is out of this meaningless world.. A good deed if I do say so myself.." He said, eyes looking to the bloody man. "So fun to torture though..." He frowned. "People are so selfish.. Don't even leave them alive long enough to let the others have fun.. Oh well.. They'll learn won't they?" He asked, looking up to the girl. He smirked. Yes, all this time he was talking bolth to her and about her. He had an interesting way of talking to people. He looked to the body again, a vampire already feeding without permission. "Plus, some don't understand the tricks of the trade yet.." He said. He was half demon half vampire. "They'll learn won't they?" He echoed again, sipping his blood quietly. He observed her, just like everyone else he saw. If he was to be successful he must first observe what others who succeed do. "You're dolls name is Kitsune?" He said, watching her. "You know, some say that caring for something is a weakness.. Not that I'm saying it is.. You seem to care for it as a sibling.." He said. He didn't say much after this.
He simply drank his blood and whiskey quietly, watching the vultures feast on their already dead prey. He sighed slightly, looking to the girl again to see her reaction.
Linye - December 6, 2004 11:46 PM (GMT)
She moved away from the dead body, away from those feeding or trying to feed and she loosely held kitsune in her arms.
“Her,” she corrected him, “Not it.. Kitsune is a her and yes, I do care for her. She is mine after all.” She shrugged but smiled a little smile, clearly happy now. Apparently she either didn’t understand the fact that he was talking about her as she spoke to her or she didn’t care. Linye wasn’t necessarily stupid but then, she wasn’t really the brightest star in the sky, so it could be either or.
“And anyway, all people care for at least one thing in life.” Linye began to skip over to where the ‘interesting man’ sat but halfway there she knocked into someone, or rather, the man knocked into her.
“Watch where you’re going you stupid girl.”Linye looked unfazed by his glare, “Who?”
“You, you air headed git!” The man snarled, but Linye just looked at his face, a blank expression in her eyes.
“Me what?”
He growled and tried to knock her out of the way but she didn’t move. “Get the hell out of meh way and watch where you’re going will you?” He spat at her, clearly annoyed.
“You ran into me you insignificant pee-brained bug that I would love to mush into a million pieces! Though bugs are very interesting...” She had been yelling at him but then she trailed off, beginning to mumble to herself about the different kinds of bugs. The man eyed her as though she’d grown a second head, muttered something that suspiciously sounded like ‘insane little girl’ and then moved off.
Linye smiled and continued on her way, skipping over to where Ghan sat as though the incident had never happened.

"I see... Well, a precious one she is.." He said, not quite enthused. He sighed. "But not everyone cares for at least one thing in life anymore.." He said, taking out a bottle of clear liquid and pouring it into his flask. He put the bottle back in his cloak pocket, putting a finger between a large dog collar and his neck. Yes, a dog collar. Time will tell the story though, and this is certainly not the place to explain just yet. He watched as a man suddenly took his drink out of the corner of his eye. The man had been eyeing it since it was there. Ghan smirked slightly, hearing the man gasp for air after taking a large gulp. The man put the flask down with a loud bang right before he had fallen to the floor. Ghan looked at the flask and took a sip, pretending he noticed nothing of what had just happened. The man lay cold and dead on the floor, the few who were not too drunk sat staring at the man. He watched the girl still, some bandits checking the dead mans pocket for money or anything else that they could take from him.
Ghan finally looked over to the man who lay dead on the floor. "That's funny.. I wonder what happened.. Oh well, here's to you!" He said doing a slight toast before taking another sip. "You lucky dog.. You died in a place where you'll be happy the rest of you're days.." He said, smirking slightly as he watched the others. A woman walked up to him, holding a knife. "Now, now.. Don't be hastey m'lady.." He said, grabbing the blade of the knife and smiled evilly at her. He loved playing with other peoples mind when he got the chance. "You.. You killed my husband..." He said, trying to kill him. "Lady, what are you talking about?" "Your drink had poison in it.. You've poisoned him!" Ghan looked at her as though completely suprised at her story. "Well missy, I do believe you need some fresh air. All this musty dust in this tavern must be getting to your head. I wasn't the one who made him drink my drink, so, therefore, I could not have committed murder on your husband. I can't say I'm sorry for your loss.." He said. "He's the one who stole my drink.." Ghan said with a shrug of cold heartedness. He pulled the knife away and threw it so it stuck to the ceiling.
The woman kind of shuffled off as Ghan looked to Linye. "I'll tell you a secret.. Always know what everyone else is doing... Sometimes you can both teach them a lesson they can take to their grave, and help them along in this arogant ghastly and incompetent world.
