Title: The beauty of darkness
Description: Private: Ranewen

Rith - December 1, 2004 01:16 AM (GMT)
Rith walked slowly through gloomwood. Fear had nothing at all to do with Rith’s slow pace. As a matter of fact he was taking in all of his scenerary closely. He could not believe that so beautiful a place could exist. He cursed his impatience in building his base of operations, this would have been a far better place. No light was prescent at all, but Rith could see well. He loved the twisted and strange trees. They gave the woods the semblance of a glorious nightmare. Inspired thoughts rushed through Rith’s mind. He would certainly be glad to meet the creatures that lived in the beautiful woods. Terror floated beside Rith. Terror was in his normal form, but invisible as Rith wanted none of his light to ruin the splender of the woods or scare away the umbra feles. They had been in Gloomwood for about an hour when Terror merrily dashed through the trees. One thing had caught Terror’s attention. It was the unholy aura of an infused though there Ranewen, being the Goddess of darkness, had reason to have an aura that was far greater than an normal demonic infused or even a demon for that matter. Terror was drawn to Ranewen like a fly to honey. Rith wondered who it was that had so quickly attracted Terror’s attention. He knew it was either an infused or maybe be even a demon, though Rith could not recall him ever acting in such a way for a demon of any sort.

Ranewen - December 2, 2004 05:42 PM (GMT)
((-sigh- Acora'shiin, this is a private topic... You can't post here unless invited... I've deleted your post.))

Ranewen heard some sort of faint noises coming through the woods as she looked around. She'd heard that a city - most likely loyal to her, but you'd never know - had come back from the Shadow Plane and she had to check out the umbra feles to see if they, too, were fit for her collection of... many pets. She couldn't even keep track of where they went nowadays.

Up on her large winged unicorn - or horned pegasus - she didn't fear all that much, but we she could hear she could not see. That worried her just a little bit. Be it an enemy, Ranewen was ready to use her Divine Splendor ability or her Divine Storm ability to stop anything from coming at her. Then again, it could be someone she knew. Someone, perhaps, that she didn't want dead. Shrugging her shoulders, she looked around, trying to find any sight of what was coming at her.

Isilme Isto shifted udnerneath her, his ears twitching as he, too, heard something. He looked around, but saw nothing and was confused just like Ranewen was. But, he wasn't scared. Why did you need to be scared of something probably an eighth or so of his size. ((Not literally, just saying. heh)) A black panther stood by, watching the woods for his new mistress Ranewen. Her white wolf, dragons, nightmare and other familiars were somewhere, obviously, but Ranewen didn't know where. Then again, she really couldn't care. Once again, she looked around with a confused look on her face.

Rith - December 2, 2004 10:59 PM (GMT)
(Terror would probably qualify as one eighth his size)
Terror circled slowly around Ranewen. After one quick rotation, Terror dispelled his invisblity and tainted wisps form was shown. The wisp showed no signs of being harmful, though few would consider the floating ball of purple light benign. Rith eyes momentarily took on a bright purple glow as he saw through Terror’s vision. Rith blinked momentarily as he saw Ranewen. The golden glow of her eyes was enough to see that she was in fact an infused.

Thin spider-like legs came out of Rith’s back and hoisted him into the air. His long legs slowly crawled across the ground, but he was making an incredible progress. He could see Ranewen in the distance. She seemed much better without the wisps distorted vision. After his act of arrogance earlier he did not want to over use his powers, but Rith thought that the she may like having the wisp explained. “Good Night, Ranewen. I should not be so surprised to see you here. It is a beautiful place, isn’t?” Rith’s voice appeared near Ranewen and was soft enough to be audible to only herself. He did not wish to disturb the inhabitants of the forest especially if he meant to find one himself.

Ranewen would probably be able to see him now. He had not doubt that the goddess of darkness could see as weel in the dark as she could in the day and if not better. He wondered how well she would take to meeeting one who had given her the first impression of an arogant fool.

Ranewen - December 3, 2004 12:06 AM (GMT)
Ranewen looked to Rith as she saw him and nodded her head and then looked back at the wisp. So, she had heard something coming. Well, not necessarily heard him, but she felt his presence. She blinked slowly and looked back to Rith, the confusion that was on her face before was now gone – like it had never existed. “Yes, a lovely place. I’m glad they have returned.” she nodded her head as she spoke and blinked her golden eyes slowly, looking around again.

She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, Isilme Isto’s ears twitching as she did so. He looked to Rith, then to the purple Wisp and seemed to blush in his own way. He had made a fool of himself – worrying over something 1/8 of his size. He shook his head, causing Ranewen to look at him for a moment and stroke his head, and then she looked back at Rith and wondered about the Wisp. “What’s this about?” she asked, waving her hand to say she was talking about the Wisp.

((-dies- So short... Heh, sorreh...))

Rith - December 3, 2004 02:06 AM (GMT)
Rith smiled as he saw her act as if her confusion never existed, It was nice to know that even the divine were not some emotionless beings who toy with the planet to amuse themselves. They still were still flawed in their own ways. Ways that even divine powers could not compensate for. “To think they have never been so far away. Always hiding where ever darkness can be found. They could see but never be seen or interact in anyway with our world,” Rith smiled. He had basically described the plane of shadow itself. He did not if Ranewen knew of it, but thought it likely that she did. It was common for summoners to know much of the planes, especially those they summoned from. If Ranewen did not know of the plane, Then it would perhaps be something she would be interested in listening to.

“That is my wisp, Terror. He has a peculiar liking for the aura of infused if I am correct. You undoubtedly have be bonded your soul to a demon’s since our last meeting,” Rith explained as he slowly approached. Rith stopped when he was about seven feet away from Isilme Isto. He held himself in the air upon his spidery legs and lowered him to where he was at eye level with Rae. It was not comforting to talk to some one if you were too high or too low. “So do you come to admire the beauty of the woods or do other intentions fit in as well. I can surely say that I am here for the later. I am sure you have heard of Umbra Feles,” Rith smiled.

Ranewen - December 4, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
Ranewen nodded her head and smiled. “Yes, that’s basically why I am here too. I have also decided to come see what this place had to offer, you know? A new place always has those who are curious looking in it. And, seeing as this is one of the only dark cities, I saw it fit that I see what it exactly was.” She nodded her head. “I have, though, come here to buy myself one of their creatures that they have.; a dark one. I do not wish for a tame, calm one.” She smirked and looked around once more as she turned Isilme Isto’s head to look directly at Rith, the horn just missing his abdomen (if he’s standing like I think he is). The mount’s eyes looked directly up at Rith, unafraid to say the least. Soon enough, Ranewen’s gaze drifted away from Rith and she looked around the woods, then to the actual city of Balefire. “So, you’re doing the same I suppose?” she asked him, a smirk on her pale face as she looked back at him.

Rith - December 6, 2004 07:18 PM (GMT)
(I edited the last one to say where I stoped. I forgot to add that when I wrote it)

“You come to buy one that is untamed? It seems that you rather come to find one on your own. I’d imagine finding one not reasonably tamed, or at least said to be tamed, would be a difficult matter. Most people in Balefire are out to make a profit especially when it comes to foreigners and I doubt most have been on Imythess long enough to know that you are the goddess of darkness. Selling untamed umbras is less profitable than selling tamed ones or kits. Kit’s can also be found in abundance on the market, but they might as well be tamed themselves. Yes, I would have to say I am doing the same as you. Umbra feles are something that my sources are currently limited when it come to information. Intend to learn a bit more of them and then decide if Terror should have another companion,” Rith smiled. Terror, satisfied in revolving around Rae several times, rushed back to Rith’s arms. Terror took the form of a small black cat and Rith slowly stroked his fur as he looked from Rae to the darknes around them. Rith could have sworn he had heard something, but was unsure. It most have just been terror. “If you don’t mind my asking, Do you still have love for Kore Takamura as you once did,” Rith asked calmly. He had good reason to doubt that she did, but if here cold heart would still melt for this man then Rith would indeed have information that she might like to know.

Ranewen - December 17, 2004 08:03 PM (GMT)
"I know of that already..." she said to his first little 'speech'. "And a love for Kore? Let's just say he could die for all I cared. I care not about him. If he died tomorrow, I would not mourn his death. He deserves it." a smirk came upon her face and she looked at Rith, her golden eyes full of hatred. Not towards him, but towards Kore. "He doesn't know what he should say to someone like me or what not to say, if you know what I mean." An evil, mischievous grin danced upon her pale face. She looked around. "As for the Umbra feles, I think I might just get myself a pair of them. Both dark: one a kit, one an adult. You can never have too many companions..." she said and looked around. There was still an evil smirk on her face. She did - so far - have a love for these animals that she had heard so much about. And she had yet to find one somewhere lurking around the area of Balefire. Here, she heard, might be her best bet. It was said to be hard to capture a dark umbra, be it a kit or an adult, and even harder to tame one, but Ranewen would tame one. She'd make the best of it. She then looked back at Rith, finally at eye level with him, her smirk falling back to make her face expressionless.

Rith - December 19, 2004 10:29 PM (GMT)
Rith smiled at the emotion that came after Kore's name. He would have been sickened if she still had a crush over him. She seemed not to like him but there something in here still liking him though despising his ways. "He apparently knows what to say and not to say around a certain other goddess. I am sure you may know of Kore's new lover. I thought she may have learned after dealing with bahamut, but you can say I was deceived," Rith smiled though weaker than usual as hinted at who he was speaking of. He wondered if more anger would be evoked though doubted the words were enough to do so. He hoped at least that they weren't. It would prove that mind dwelled too much on him, though there was of course a solution to that problem. Turning away from the subject of the foolish boy, Rith's eyes peered over his should wher he thought he had heard footsteps, but saw nothing. Rith turned his eyes back to Rae. "For an umbra kit we'd have to find a nest, but for the adult I don't think we have to look too far. It seems as though we are hunted. From what I heard they hunt in backs. Your senses may do better than my own in discerning how many we have about us," Rith smiled as he saw a large umbra vanish behind a tree in the distance behind Rae and her steed.

Ranewen - January 26, 2005 12:20 AM (GMT)
Ranewen shrugged her shoulders. “No, I do not know who his new lover is and I honestly do not care who it is. In fact, I hope they rest in pieces. Or, I might as well make it worse for both of them: take away Kore’s soul and have him living in a dungeon somewhere with only a body and no will to live, but no reason to die, for he will still think that whoever loves her loves him back. But, I would be able to modify this woman’s mind no matter who she is and make her forget about him. Oh, that would be amusing…” she thought and smirked, looking around her. She heard the umbra pack around her and opened her bright eyes and looked around. “There are three behind myself and four behind you,” she said with a nod of her head, though her voice was emotionless, for she had no reason to be scared. Nearly invincible, she was, with the new powers and abilities she had gained. There really was no reason for her to go around frantically and think that she was going to die. She, unlike most people, couldn’t die from a dagger to the heart. She had her own healing powers that could probably easily cure that. But, she didn’t wish to try it. No need to risk her life, even if there was a little to no chance of her dying.

Rith - January 27, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
Revenge, that is what seemed to be more more in her mind by her words than Apathy for Kore. She certainly had taste. This something Rith could not say of Varila. Rith's thoughts soon turned to the umbra. He did not fear them either. As far as he knew death could not come to him, but that did not stop pain from entering his body. Rith turned about as his thin spiderlike legs let him come down to the ground. "Seven against four, Sounds like fun," Rith smiled humorlessly. Rith despised fighting close up. The umbra would stike the weakest looking and preferable attack ones back. Rith would likely be the main focus of their attacks. Rith could feel a slight tickling in his head. At the thought that the creatures used telepathic senses as well to see their prey. It meant no illusions would be useful but it did mean that he could use their sense to his own advantage by tampering with it. Then again such an attempt would require too much attention of Rith. Terror chaged back into a purble ball of light before dissapearing. Terror was not much of a fighter, but did well supporting on the side. The same could be said of Rith, but Rith was even less of a fighter and could not get off to the side at the moment. Wordlessly and motionlessly Rith casted Foresight upon himself. With open eyes, he stared out into the darkness. "I think you would find that hard to do since she is one of the few you can call your peers, though I am not sure how well Varila can compare to you," Rith smiled as he readied himself.

Ranewen - January 27, 2005 02:30 AM (GMT)
Well, if it means anything to you, Rith, I dislike all of the Gods, save Sargoth and Oppel… The only reasons I like them are because we’ve been friends before I became the Goddess of Darkness, and because Oppel helped me thought previous times of which one probably would not know. But, knowing you and your wit, you probably are already well aware of that, eh? You probably know more about me than anyone, I assume?” she said and smirked slightly before turning Isilme’s head to gaze at one of the Umbras, which she saw with perfect vision through this darkness, enchanted or not, she didn’t care to notice. She cast Ebon Eyes silently long before this had come to happen. No, she hadn’t seen it, but what good would she do in the dark woods with no vision? Well, Isilme could see through it easily, but that was beside the point… “Now…are we going to take these Umbras for ourselves? Or just kill some of them off? Or have you something else in mind?” she asked, ready to use any of her spells and/or deity abilities. She had plenty of things on her mind: controlling an Umbra into coming to them, then casting Divine Shield to not let any others inside to attack them, or Divine Ray to instantly kill an Umbra. Though, she would rather watch it suffer… It was amusing, to her, to watch someone suffer until death grasped them and pulled them along to play in the afterlife. Grinning at these thoughts, she then looked back towards Rith, though she made sure not to let her guard down on the Umbras.

Rith - January 28, 2005 04:11 PM (GMT)
It did matter to Rith. The only deities Rith thought worth his time were Varila and Ranewen. The other gods and goddesses favored the light too much. Varila's love for fools was proof that something was ill in her and Ranewen was clearly seen as the most important goddess. She at least did not let love capture her heart now. Rith hoped to find a way to fix Varila, though he knew a price may be turning Ranewen against her. If that came to be he would at least have created a good level of tension amognst the gods. Such a conflict would involve over half of the deities if Varila played her part. Rith doubted that such a rivalry would be lasting and there by not too useful for his own plans. "It indeed does mean something to be Rae. I would not expect you to care so much for the lovers of the light. Your freindship with sargoth is surprising, but understandable since it began before you were a goddess and you two have yet to have a conflict in plans. I do recall that Oppel helped you. Prehaps I do know more of you than any, but I know mainly your past. Your chosen would likely know more of the present which has changed so radically and is difficult for me to monitor. As for the Umbra, I think we are talented enough to do both of the former. Perhaps we can simply toy with the last three," Rith smiled. He knew he would not be of much help himself so long as the numbers were so large. He was curious as to how well the goddess would perform though not in the position to pay her much attention.

Three umbra prepared to attack Rith from every open side. The one before Rith stoped just as it was about to pounce upon its prey. Terror was a work and enjoying it too. The two remaining umbra lept in the air towards Rith. They would stike him their paws as the blazed through the air. They were organized enough that their path's did not cross. Rith move closer to Isilme and out of Reach of the first Umbra. Rith wordlessly fired a black bolt from his pointed fingertips and towards the Umbra. The creature let out a strained yelp as the bolt peirced through the creature's flesh. The umbra fell to the ground gracelessly. It was not dead, but so near it, that the umbra might even slip away as the fight went on.

Ranewen - January 28, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
Ranewen shrugged her shoulders. “Well, I guess we all have our own views of things… I don’t talk to them much anymore, but I would never say something bad against them…well, maybe I would, but nothing too bad as to start a conflict or something… I, however, despise the other Gods and Goddesses. No need for war, though… Well, not yet, that is. I cannot tell the future at this precise moment, for I do not care about it.” With a nod of her head, she looked to one of the Umbras and smirked slightly as Rith moved closer to Isilme. “Hope you don’t mind this, Rith… If you don’t, just tell me and I’ll turn you back,” she said, carefully watching the other Umbras as she hopped off the back of Isilme and transformed* (using her deity ability to alter form, except on him) him into the child she has once seen in Taras at night, when he had spoke of her fortune. Eventually, however, she had walked out on him. Why? She couldn’t remember, nor did she really care at the moment. She then turned back to the other Umbra that had missed him. “Xal streea al’doer dos, lueth dos zhal al'doer ol,” she spoke the words of the Drow freely.

Forming a ball in her hand, she flicked her wrist and sent the ball, which had now turned into a ray, and went directly at that Umbra, causing it to fall back on the ground. Ranewen grinned: she had made it so that the ray wasn’t strong enough to have killed it, but strong enough to make it paralyzed unless one had decided to heal it. As for his fate…well, he’d probably die of hunger, lest someone find him. Grinning, she turned to Rith, watching him, and then back to the other Umbra that he had hit on the ground. Both were spotted. She frowned – one of them had better been a dark umbra, which was what she had come for. She frowned slightly and watched the other Umbra, almost daring them to come closer to her. Would they? She didn’t know, but she was looking forward to finding out.

*=Seeing as it is a deity ability, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be able to use it on someone else… -shrugs- Not sure if it’s allowed, but it’s all good. ;)

[.Drow Translation. 'Might death welcome you and you shall welcome it']

Rith - January 29, 2005 10:57 PM (GMT)
(Wow this took me all day)
Rith found it odd that the three that had attempted to attack him were spotted. He heard that these were the ones that were most easily domesticated. These were not good enough to suit Rith's own purposes, though he could always use another soul to add to his collection. It was hard to split one's attention in such a situation, but Rith listened to her words as he kept a watch for the remaining four umbra. The odds had shifted to four against three, Terror would not likely tear away from his prey til the poor umbra's heart gave away from more fear than one should face. After Rae caster her spell, Rith's thin spider-like legs receded back into his back. He figured it was so as not to get in the way of her horse or freak him out. Given that the horse was owned by Raenewen, he doubted the later was possible. Perhaps it was way of offering him to ride her horse and better stay out of harm's way. He would not feel comfortable upon the steed, but he knew that it would likely be very safe place to be. Rith would rather be riding upon Torment, but he was not brought upon this excursion. Rith did not mind the removal of his strange appendages. He had not learned to use them to adeptly in battle, and they were merely another target for the Umbra to hit.

Before Rith could decide where or not to get on Isilme or even make out a reply was attacked again by three more umbra. None of these were spotted. Two were wild and had long feral fangs and the one that attacked from in front of Rith was a a dark umbra. rith could forsee that he would not be able to get out any spell before they could get to him. Now would be as good a time as any to be on Isilme. Rith knew that Rae had dismounted. Rith envisioned himself upon Islme's back. Though no longer tied to it in the same way, Gloomwood and balefire were still connected to the plane of Shadow in a manner that could be found nowhere else. The eternal darkness was the result of this. Rith felt silly for not recognizing all of his ablites. (using Shadowdancer ablity) Rith vanished from the ground and appeared upon Isilme's back. "Should hope neither of you mind. As for the loss of my legs, thank you, it is likely better that they are gone. I can bring them back myself if needed," Rith said as he turned to veiw the umbra now behind him. He casted as his gaze fixed upon one of the wild umbra. Within seconds the creature was overtaken by feelings of hopelessness. It fell lazily upon the ground as if waiting to be killed, as if wanting it's miseries to end.

Ranewen - January 30, 2005 12:19 AM (GMT)
Well, Rith, you’re safer up there and that was my whole point,” she said and looked at the remaining three Umbras, two of which had their eyes set specifically on her. She smirked. “We want two left over, you said?” she asked rather rhetorically and then looked at on specific Umbra – the ones closest to her. She smirked. “Time to die,” she said as if she were a happy child. Grinning, she thought of a spell, this time, you use and frowned for a moment, taking her time to think. At the same time, she also held the reins of Isilme’s bridle and she brought them back over the head of the giant beast and offered them to Rith. “Just in case he gets spooked at all, which I highly doubt…” she said and grinned. Before Ranewen could react, one of the Umbras lunged at her, claws extended and mouth wide – it was the one she had told that it was time for it to die.

Seeing that his master couldn’t react quickly enough, Isilme shook his head violently and the Umbra shrieked in pain. The black horse had cast ‘Inflict Minor Wounds’ on the umbra. But, still, it sailed through the air. So, being careful since Rith was on his back, he waited for the exact moment and then let his horn collide with the side of the Umbra with another violent shake of his head. This resulted in a large crunching sound, which made a chill go up even Ranewen’s spine. For a moment, she had thought that it was Isilme’s horn cracking in half. But, it was one of the ribs of the wild umbra that had launched itself to attack the Goddess. Of course, it had obviously failed its task, now lying on its side on the ground. Ranewen snapped her fingers and, soon enough, the Umbra had laid its head upon the ground and its body stopped moving – she had killed it. She had possessed the creature with the snap of her fingers and told it to stop breathing, which ended up killing it because of suffocation. Grinning to herself, she then turned back to Rith. “Save the last two? I’ll pay for the training expenses if you wish to have the last wild one… I, myself, prefer the dark Umbra,” she said and motioned to it with her left hand, grinning. “But, as I have said, I will pay for its expenses in training if you take the wild umbra,” she said with another grin.

||ooc||In other words, I will buy the wild Umbra for you as a gift. Just because…well, I can. ^^ Unless you already have one and I just don’t know it? Heh. Also, our posts don't have to be huge. xD

Rith - February 8, 2005 02:41 AM (GMT)
(I know about the length. Just trying to improve everyonce in a while. I must say I am doing better than I imagined. As for the umbra can I get a dark umbra[puppy dawg eyes], I'll pay the extra 50 [not that you truly need money :P ])
Rith took the reins despite the fact that he doubted that anything in a forest of darkness would spook a creature trained by the goddess of darkness. More so he doubted he could use the reins properly if Isilme were to be spooked. Rith didn't that much about riding, but he had enough knowledge to fool the passing glance into thinking he knew a lot about riding. It was something Rith would likely invest time in later. It would nice to be riding upon Torment should he find himself in a situation simmilar to this again.

Rith quickly returned his attention to the umbra about them. It was awkward how none of the four of them had killed an Umbra yet. There was the umbra that Terror was still playing with. It would not be long before the poor creature's heart gave way to the overexertion. There was the Umbra of which Rith had shot a bolt of enveneration at and it was on the border between life and death soon to teeter of the edge. There was one Rae had fires a divine ray at and it was left in only slightly better condition than Rith's victim. There was also the one had lost his will to fight. That left a Dark umbra and a wild umbra, yet that only made six all together. Rae had said there was seven and Rith did not have a doubt in the number. Rith's thoughts were momentarily disturbed by the loud crack. A sadistic grin found its way onto Rith's face. The crackling of bones was always a pleasing sound and it was even more so when followed by a pained scream.

Rith's eyes caught sight of the missing umbra. It was attempting to make an escape. It was intelligent enough to know that no meal could be found amongst the group. Rith did not want to let this Dark umbra escape. Perhaps Rae would let him keep it rather than taking both Dark umbra. The dark umbra would be more useful than any of the other umbra. Rith's finger quickly pointed to Terror's victim. A blak bolt jumped from Rith's finger and snapped loudly as it his the spotted umbra's flesh and killed the poor weakened beast. After a mental command, Terror darted after the dark umbra. The invisible wisp was quickly gainig upon his target. The fact that fear could already be found in the umbra's heart made terror wish to get to his prey even more.

"There are two dark umbra. Wild and spotted umbra have little use to myself," Rith smiled as he turned his attention to the last fighting umbra, the one which was to be Raenewen's.

Ranewen - February 13, 2005 04:36 PM (GMT)
Ranewen let her eyes wander over the dead Umbra and to the struggling spotted and wild Umbras that still lives, fighting for their life, despite the fact they knew death welcomed them with open arms. She watched them and, with a snap of her fingers, both stopped breathing and their eyes lay open, but glazed—they were both dead now. Grinning to herself, she looked back to the one dark Umbra she had left for herself and sighed lightly, before snapping her fingers and using Dark Regeneration to cure it. “Rendan…” she muttered, having met the beast’s new name. She yawned lightly and looked back to the remaining Dark Umbra and shrugged her shoulders. She couldn’t care less as to what Rith did with the remaining Umbra. Keep it? She didn’t really care. If he wanted it, he could have it. If he didn’t want it—she was sure, however, that he wanted one—she would take it for herself. Just another useless addition to the numerous pets and animals she owned.

Do with it what you will,” she said and shrugged her shoulders. He was right: wild and spotted Umbras were of no use at all. She yawned once more out of boredom and looked at the Dark Umbra now at her feet, having given up any fight to run away, seeing what had become of his former—now dead—pack mates. Satisfied, she looked back up at Isilme. Well, there wasn’t enough room for the both of them to sit upon the winged Pegasus’s back. Ah, well, she’s just have to hover up off the ground and fly to keep up with Isilme on the way to wherever they’d be headed. “Once you’ve satisfied yourself, where are we to go? Continue to Balefire? Or go elsewhere? My temple, for example; perhaps the Bloodseal Tavern?” she asked and simple shrugged her shoulders, showing him that she honestly had no clue, nor did she care.

She let her wing appear fro out of her shoulder blades and her eyes turned that sinister gold of in Erinyes demon. She looked around the Gloomwood Forest for a few moments before turning her golden gaze upon that of Rith’s face, awaiting an answer from him. Soon enough, however, her eyes wandered elsewhere and looked over the dead bodies of the Umbras and then the remaining Dark Umbra that Rith probably wanted. If he wanted it, then so be it. She’d pay for it if she had to, which, of course, she probably would have to do. She didn’t mind, though. She could deal with a loss of two hundred and fifty Gold. She could make up that within a few days’ time. No big deal.

Rith - March 1, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
(took Long enough  )
Rith expected that to be her answer, afterall she already had an army of animals and Rith was sure she had some that even he did not know of. Rith held up his palms and a hardly noticable chill breeze began to blow. The souls of the dead ubra moved to Rith like light leaves floating upon a babbling brook. Each soul made it's way to a different gem upon Rith's waist. In the same manner Rith had got on Isilme, Rith dismounted.

Terror had easily caught up with his prey and had it cowering in fear. Terror shifted into a more tangible form as Rith had mentaly told him to do and picked up the umbra by the back of the neck. Rith turned his attention back to Ranewen at her question. "Balefire cannot compare to the glory of these woods, and Bloodseal Tavern is too often visited for my own buisness. I should think a trip to your temple would be for the best," Rith smiled before turning his attention back to Terror who was still bringing the frightened umbra back to Rith. The poor umbra looked like a freightened kitten carried by it's mother.

Rith raised his hand as terror brought the umbra down to Rith. The terrified quickly steadly seemed to calm down. After the umbra was calmed down and released from Terror's grip, Rith put his hand down. Casting another spell, a vertical black circular portal opened up at Rith's right and seconds later an identical portal opened at Rith's left. Two large winged Devils stepped out of the portals and turned to the umbra. With a mental command from Rith, they carfully picked up the subbmissive ubmra and flew off into the sky. He would deal with the Umbra later. A bit of training would be needed before Rith would see the Umbra as a big use.

As Terror slowly became visible, the form of a large dark phoinex was revealed. His black feathers were covered in a dull cold purple flame. Rith turned around as the thin wirey legs returned from rith's back and hoisted him into the air. The wiry legs moved back and lowered Rith when he was over Terror's back. "I should think that handles everything, You may lead the way as I do not yet know the way... but wait Before we leave there is one last thing I should like to handle," Rith smiled as the wiry legs snaked their way back ino his back. Before Raenewen could ask what as many would Rith continued, "I have made others make sacrifices for power and now it is my time to make a sacrifice. I am willing to pledge loyalty to you if you were to consider me as one of your Chosen."

Ranewen smirked as she watched the happenings in front of her—she’s have to pay before they left, but that could be done later on. Plus, no one would force her to pay anyways, seeing as she was one of the deities. Her golden eyes looked around as the two demons came out and Ranewen took a small step back to give them some room. Isilme looked out of the corner of his eye and watched with mild interest before looking back at Ranewen and snorting. “You can wait, Isilme. Or, in fact, just go now. I’ll have Alantha bring me back,” she said and smirked. She hadn’t even ridden her own dragon yet. Pretty sad, eh? Then again, she didn’t have the right equipment to be riding him, but if she had to, she could just change her appearance to an actual dragon rider. But, she wouldn’t have to—Alantha was loyal to her and wouldn’t do anything stupid to throw her off—accidentally or on purpose. Plus, she had her own wings to catch her if the worst happened. The worst wouldn’t happen—she could find a way to conjure something up to put on the back of the dragon’s neck between its neck ridges.

She shifted her weight, watching the phoenix now, and then turned her attention back to Rith, listening to what he had to say like she did to everyone else. Even if she knew it was worthless and/or pointless to listen, she did anyways. She had all the time in the world—literally. “It’s be an honor, Rith, to have you in my Chosen. You’ve already proven yourself by leading a great Guild, which consists of some of the evilest of being in Imythess, save for myself since I never had the time to join it…I will one day, though. But, yes, you may be in my Chosen. You’ve always been welcomed in my temple, and you can now have a room in there.” She nodded her head and smirked slightly. All of her Chosen had their own room in her temple, and so would he. He’d probably have the best of the rooms, too, and most likely full access to her temple. She knew if she didn’t give it to him, he’d find his way around anyways with all of the spells he had. “And to quickly sum up where the temple is…” she said and, with a wave of her hand, a section of the view in front of them moved around, as if they were water, and then soon enough a view of her temple and the Hauntwood Marsh came into the large circle. “It’s set in the back of the Hauntwood Marsh,” she said with a grin.

She crossed her arms and then whistled sharply, and a pair of black wings came into view, followed by the dragon itself. It was a very large dragon—if not the largest in Imythess. She had no knowledge if it was or not—she didn’t care. Well, he was one of the more feared dragons, seeing as he belonged to her and was the only one of that specific breed. “Have you a mount? Or would you like me to call Renor Cryso?” she asked, looking up at the sky, looking as if she was about to call the second dragon. Instead, her eyes watched the large, black dragon circle above and finally land in a clearing not far from them—maybe about 100 meters, but that was it. She frowned for a moment out of curiosity, and then let her gaze fall back on Rith, wondering if he would rather ride a dragon than a mount of his own. If he wanted to ride a mount of his own he was more than welcome to, but she had to at least offer it to him or she’d end up being mad at herself for being rude, which happened a lot, seeing as she always made decisions that she usually didn’t want. That was beside the point, though. “Ah, almost forgot to mention: each and every one of my chosen has access to their own stable, which is a part of my Great Stables, much like the ones in Kellen. Mine, however, is made for all types of animals. They get taken care of for free, too, by my ‘servants’ if that’s what you would like to call them,” she said and grinned.
