Title: Wandering the Desert
Bahamut - November 27, 2004 10:30 PM (GMT)
Bahamut looks up at the scorching sun, then back to the endless desert. He cursed himself at coming here, all for some jewel. He sighs, then starts. He had found an oasis! He was smiling as he ran up to the water. "Water....."He takes a long drink, then sits back, enjoying the shade.
Incubo_Mortale - November 27, 2004 11:44 PM (GMT)
Incubo had eaten a good meal this morning and had gotten a well rested night. Plus he had only spent about 15 minutes in the desert. Therefore, the sun didn't bother him much and hunger wasn't a problem. Incubo walked along the sandy plains of few cacti. He spotted a man not far away. The man seemed to be searching for something. He then spotted an oasis and saw the man run over to it. He chuckled to himself. Is that all he was looking for?... Incubo thought to himself. He walked over to the man and spoke.
"Excuse me sir, but I couldn't help but notice that you looked troubled. Perhaps I could be of some assistance?"
Bahamut - November 28, 2004 12:03 AM (GMT)
He looks to the man, eyes green, snake-like, fangs out. His green scaled skin didn't feel the sand blown at it, and the clawed hands grabbed air." No, you can't, not really. Unless you want to find something, in this desert."
Incubo_Mortale - November 28, 2004 12:14 AM (GMT)
Incubo looked at his surroundings. He really didn't have anything better to do. Plus how hard could it be to find something in a desert? Unless it's buried but that's a different story. Incubo cupped his hands and spooned some water to his mouth. It was soothing to his throat. He wiped off his mouth and turned back to the man.
"Sure, I don't mind doing that." Incubo bowed to the man. "My name is Incubo Mortale, a pleasure to meet you."
Bahamut - November 28, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
He smirks slightly."Well then."He stands up, brushing himself off."I'm Bahamut. Currently......Anyways, have you ever heard of a Desert Jewel? They are quite rare. I'm looking for one."
Incubo_Mortale - November 28, 2004 12:58 AM (GMT)
Incubo's eye's widened. Had he just said he was Bahamut?
"Bahamut? If I'm not mistaken, you were once the God of Fire? Considering my primary element is fire, it is a GREAT honor." Incubo bowed once more. He came back up and pulled himself together. "As for this Desert Jewel you speak of, I have indeed heard many fables of them. It will be quite a task to come across such a fortune. The danger of being attacked by desert beasts is also a high factor... I am up to the challenge though." Incubo nodded towards Bahamut. "Where to?"
Bahamut - November 28, 2004 01:17 AM (GMT)
He growls."I'm through with that life. And good riddance, I say." He shakes his head."I know, but if it was easy, it wouldn't be fun. I know where one can be found, but it is guarded. Well, let's go."He stands up, then fills his flask with water, then walks off, west.
Incubo_Mortale - November 28, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
Incubo also filled a flask he had with water. He had to run to catch up, then slowed to a walk when he was next to Bahamut.
"Yes I suppose you're right... It wouldn't be much fun," Incubo said smirking. "But as you said before, it was guarded... Guarded by whom? Or what, I should ask."
He started fiddling around with his shadow dagger, flipping it up in the air and making it levitate just above his palm. Although the territory in front of them was blury from the heat, Incubo could make out a black smadge that seemed to have claws.
"Hmm, I wonder what that is up ahead." Incubo thought aloud.
Bahamut - November 28, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
"That is where we are heading. It's farther than it seems, trust me. That, is what guards the jewel."He smiles."Will be fun, eh?"He laughs slightly, turning back to the speck."We'll be there soon....."
Incubo_Mortale - November 28, 2004 02:08 AM (GMT)
Incubo nodded, acknowledging he understood, but it seemed too easy...
"Surely their must be more of them... Just one seems too easy," said Incubo.
Incubo then unsheathed his other dagger. This dagger gleamed in the sunlight. His other dagger seemed to dance was the poison in it swam around...
"One more thing. We're searching for this jewel because of it's value correct? It doesn't posses a certain power, does it?" He asked curiously.
Bahamut - November 28, 2004 03:15 AM (GMT)
"No powers, not as far as I know. Just the value, mostly. And the point of owning it."He smirks slightly. He loved twisting others, but he hadn't even started yet. He would bide his time. He would bide. The beast was closer now.
Incubo_Mortale - November 28, 2004 04:21 PM (GMT)
Incubo couldn't shake the feeling that Bahamut was being very mysterious about this whole thing...it was no time to think of it now... Now they were face to face with the beast. It was a giant scorpion. It had a black shell/armor, beady green eyes, and a blue poison seemed to drip from it's stinger. White foam dripped from it's mouth and it's claws snapped violently. Incubo smirked, This will be quite interesting... Incubo readied himself. He swiftly dodged a strike from it's tail and stabbed it's back with his Assasin's dagger. It was a small wound that wouldn't do much, but Incubo was just getting started...
Bahamut - November 28, 2004 04:27 PM (GMT)
He smiles mischeivously(sp?) and jumps on its back, biting it with his fangs. He then stabs it with the saw-toothed glaive, which meant only magic could heal the wound. He slices the stinger, then jumps off, rolling under it, then stabbing up, then rolls out from under it, and jumps away.
Incubo_Mortale - November 28, 2004 04:56 PM (GMT)
Incubo's eyebrow raised. He backed away from the spasming creature and said...
"Very impressive, Bahamut. But just to make sure this bug doesn't wake up..."
Incubo took out his Shadow Dagger, threw it up in the air once. He ran with great speed and slid under the beast, slicing it's under belly. The dagger realesed it's poison as it entered the animal's body. He stood back up from his slide and ran over to Bahamut and spoke.
"That poison will kill him within 15 minutes," his voice was icy cold, even in the desert heat.
Incubo looked in front of the fallen beast at the towering pyramid. "I suppose that is where the gem is hidden?"
Bahamut - December 1, 2004 11:17 PM (GMT)
He nods."Yes, and I trust my source of this information very much." He smiles, heading into the pyramid. It had strange writing on the walls, Gaian writing, which could not be learned, only those born in Gaia knew it."I haven't seen this writing in ages....."He turns right, then takes many more turns, continuous. They then get to a room, with a firey pit in the middle, across the room. There was no bridge across the gap."Interesting."He uses one of his spells to change into a fire dragon and fly across, then turns back to normal. "Come across, if you can.....what?"The gem wasn't in it's place. Its was in the hands of another giant scorpion."Great....."
Incubo_Mortale - December 2, 2004 12:08 AM (GMT)
Incubo was worried. He had no way to cross the fire. He also saw another scorpion, with a shiney object in its claw. Great, another obsticale (sp?) to slow us down. He yelled over the flaming pit.
"I'm afraid I have no way to get across!" He yelled towards Bahamut. "But I can still help out!" Incubo gave his dagger a swift side ways flick. It spun like a frisbee over the liking flaming and penetrated the Scorpion right between its hard top shell and underbelly, where flesh was. "I hope you can retreive that for me! It has no return enchantment!" Just then Renor Xukuth came to his side. The fire made excited him. He barked angrily at the scorpion, drooling on the ground. Incubo now new where to take Renor, if he wanted to fight...
Bahamut - December 18, 2004 04:38 PM (GMT)
He nodded, jumping on the scorpion. He dragged his glaive across it's back, then grabbed the gem as the scorpion fell, then turned into a gryphon, flew across, then back to normal. The scorpion gets up."We might want to go now....."He hurries out of the pyramid.
