Title: Perilous Journey

Oppel - November 2, 2003 06:51 PM (GMT)
Oppel made his way through the Dragon Spine Mountains. Every so often he would here a snort of a nearby dragon that made him jump and hide himself from the dragons' site. Luckily he was yet to be seen by the marvelous creatures which made Oppel venture further throughout the area.

After a long time of continuous walking, Oppel's legs grew tired and he knew he needed to rest them. He looked down at the ground below him and brushed away the rocks that would make his rest uncomfortable. He then bent to and sat on the ground. He was careful as to not make any noise so that the dragons would not have a clue of his position, unless they already did.

Bahamut - November 2, 2003 06:55 PM (GMT)
Bahamut was flying over the area, when he saw Oppel. Now is when I wish I had my old form....He lands silently behind Oppel, with a huge grin on his face. He then Creates a Spark, and lights Oppels hair on fire(when he takes it away, not a mark will be left, so dont worry. I just can't resist:D)

Oppel - November 2, 2003 08:37 PM (GMT)
((lol))

Oppel yelped as he rose up from the ground as the fire seeped through his hair. He instinctively summoned rain to put out the fire which of course did. Unfortunetly for Oppel, the dragons must have heard this as several noises could bee heard all around him. Oppel looked around the area and then back to Bahamut and smiled, "This'll be fun."

Bahamut - November 2, 2003 08:46 PM (GMT)
He grins."Yep."He looks at a dragon."Ooh, nice"He puuls out his two Masterwork Scimaters(or whatever they are)"Dunno what this will do too them. Should I use Flame Strike?"He looks at Oppel questioningly. His eyes had turned red, as they sometimes did.

Oppel - November 2, 2003 08:54 PM (GMT)
"Forgive me as i do not know the ways of the fire element, but perhaps it would be worth a try." said Oppel as he reached for his bow and an arrow. He then held the bow ready for an attack and readied his mind for any useful spell. He didn't appreciate killing animals, but he would make sure he would not leave them to die, just harm them enough as to provoke them to stop attacking. Oppel glared at Bahamut and watched as he began ready for an attack. Oppel now stood still, and was waiting.

Bahamut - November 8, 2003 04:30 PM (GMT)
A vertical column of flame roars down towards the dragon, hitting it in the face. "Hm, strange....."The dragon hadnt been afected hardly at all. "Okay, this might get ugly. Know any good spells? I have Ennervation, but not much else." He looks at the dragon warily. "Even gods meet their match sometimes..." He sighs."Good luck, we're probably going to need it. Or we could just try to run?" He didn't sound all to convinced at his idea.

Oppel - November 8, 2003 04:34 PM (GMT)
"I prefer not to learn magic to be used on my offense," Said Oppel sarcastically, "But perhaps I'll need it after today!" He chuckled. A snort was heard from the dragon and Oppel turned suddenly to see it was quite angry. Oppel bulled back on the string of his bow, prepared to fire at a moments notice. He surely hoped no other dragons and heard this...

Bahamut - November 8, 2003 04:44 PM (GMT)
Bahamut pulls out his Composite Longbow, and notches an arrow, making sure another was ready."Aim for the eyes or the wing. They are the only weak spots on a dragon."He sighs, wishing he still had his old form, so this might be easier."Oh well, no use worrying now..."He aims carefully.

Oppel - November 8, 2003 04:57 PM (GMT)
Oppel watched as Bahamut prepared his bow for firing. Hopefully, they were both a good aim so that there would be no mistakes. He then turned to face the dragon who seemed to be taunting them both. Oppel found his mark and was ready to fire. "On your word..."

Bahamut - November 8, 2003 05:02 PM (GMT)
"FIRE!"He shoots his bow, hitting the dragons left eye, then gets another arrow and hits its wing. He doesn't seem happy."Dragons are my favorite species, but I can't die, not yet." He seems to be talking to himself, as he notches another arrow but doesn't fire it.

Oppel - November 8, 2003 05:07 PM (GMT)
Oppel's first arrow hit the dragon's wing. It seemed injured now, as it was letting out several cries of pain. "I feel your pain Bahamut, I love animals aswell, but when they threaten my existence, then I must defend myself." He turned himself to face the dragon again. The loud noise of its pain was sure to call for other dragons. "We best get out of here, before even more come!"

Bahamut - November 8, 2003 05:20 PM (GMT)
"Yes, a grand idea."He starts running through a pass to the left. As they run, he asks,"would you rather fly?"he spreads his wings."Im sure I would be able to carry you, if you wish it so." He looks behind them."Hm...."he stops for a moment, casts Ennervation, then continues running.

Oppel - November 8, 2003 09:14 PM (GMT)
Oppel ducked out of the way of the spell that aimed itself towards the dragon. He smiled when Bahamut had asked him if he would like to ride upon his back even though they were in quite a dangerous situation. "Why no thankyou." He said as he used polymorph, turning himself into a hawk. Oppel knew a hawk couldn't outfly a dragon, but a hawk could always go places a dragon couldn't. Oppel, in hawk form, flew up into the air and looked down at Bahamut who was still running. He then glanced behind him and saw not one, but two dragons flying after them. They must have heard their friend He said to himself as he soared through the sky. He put one wing down and hi instantly turned into a sharp downright spiral. He then let himself out of the spiral and was now flying straight again. He was now looking for a place to hide from the marvfelous beasts.

Bahamut - November 9, 2003 12:55 AM (GMT)
Bahamut continued to run, buying Oppel time to find a place to hide."I will not die here"he pants. He was running out of stamina, but he had reserves left, in case he needed them. He looks back, then quickly looks forward again."Just what I need. Two dragons."After a while he pulled out his Demon sword, flying upwards to face the dragons.

Oppel - November 9, 2003 01:48 AM (GMT)
Oppel now noticed that Bahamut was not running below him anymore. He swirled around in the sky to face behind him, and noticed that Bahamut was going to take on the dragons! Oppel just glanced at the oncoming dragons. He flew towards the ground and turne himself back into his natural form. He only did this because he knew Bahamut would be a distraction to the two dragons. He called lightning, and several bolts came crashing down from the sky. Oppel hoped he would be able to direct the lightning as to help protect Bahamut.

Bahamut - November 9, 2003 01:51 AM (GMT)
He flies up close, dodging a claw, then slashes at a dragons arm, biting into the arm, then taking it out."This is a good blade..."He goes for the other dragon, then dodges a lightning bolt coming from seemingly no where."What the....?"He continues on to the dragon, and hits its belly full speed with the sword.

Oppel - November 9, 2003 02:03 AM (GMT)
That was close Oppel said to himself as he watched Bahamut dodge a lightning bolt he had conjured. Oppel attempted again, this time concentrating very closely on his mark. The crackling could be heard from the clouds, as yet another bolt of lightning came down and hit one of the dragons dead on. It called out in pain as it came crashing down towards the ground. Well thats one for me Bahamut, now its your turn he said as he watched the dragon breathe heavily as it lay at on the ground, barely alive.

Bahamut - November 9, 2003 02:53 AM (GMT)
Still at the stomach, he watches the other dragon fall."Good job..."He casts every offensive spell in rapid succesion, and as it falls, he pulls his sword out and flies to Oppel."I wish we didn't have to do that...."He watches the majestic creature fall.

Oppel - November 9, 2003 03:21 AM (GMT)
"I do have a solution, but once i use it, it will require quick speed on your part. But not on mine for a will be to weak to do anything. It is the spell noble sacrifice. Once I use it, I will not have enugh strength to get out of here, but I do not want to let these dragons die. However, if I use it I am hoping you will carry my on your back and swiftly get out of here before they return to full strength. Do you wish for me to use this solution?" he waited for Bahamut's answer as he stood staring at the dragons as the lay hopelessly breathing heavily.

Bahamut - November 9, 2003 03:34 AM (GMT)
He looks at the dragons, his normally dull eyes filled with sadness."Yes, go ahead. But....."He goes over to the flame red one and takes a scale, then walks back."A memento..."He waits for Oppel to do the spell, hoping it would work, as he wanted the dragons to live.

Oppel - November 9, 2003 03:41 AM (GMT)
Oppel nodded to Bahamut then focused his eyes back onto the two dragons. He was concentrating hard now, and his eyes showed it. There was no chance of disturbing Oppel now, for he was truly focused. Then, A feeling overcome Oppel and he collapsed onto the ground. He was now weak, near death and couldn't move. Not even could he raise his head to see if the spell had worked, for it felt as though the bind of death was holding him to the ground. He tried to let out a yell, but he couldn't. He was in pain.

Bahamut - November 9, 2003 03:51 AM (GMT)
He hurriedly picks up Oppel, and flies off as far from the dragons as possible."Took alot of you, huh....."He goes to the Temple of Nature, as that was where Oppel would have the best chance of recovering. When he got there, he took him inside.(PM me if wanna continue in your temple)
