Title: Conversing with the Bandit Leader(P)
Description: First topic of the War
Adsero - November 7, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
Adsero sat in a lower branch of the tree. It bent slightly under her weight but it held. The bandit leader stood on the ground below. I suppose you're not going to come down. "And I suppose you're not going to come up so lets get this over with from where we are." Listen fire girl, I don't want to be aligning myself with you right now either. "Then why did you contact me?" The elves have been bothering us more then usual. I knew you hated elves more then you hated us so I figured you could be trusted. If I figured wrong then leave. Adsero sighed loudly. She really hated dealing with these people but she would never pass up the chance to burn some elves. "No, I'll stay. This doesn't mean I like you though, I just really hate them." She rolled her head on her neck, her arms in their sockets, and cracked her knuckles. As though it was a chore, she hopped down from the tree and drew her sword. "Well, let's go kill some elves."
(For those who did not notice the big P I put next to the topic title, this is for members of the Hero and Pyro guilds and their allies only.)
Radeus - November 9, 2004 06:54 PM (GMT)
(IT'S WAR!!! I think we can post here... If not, disregard this post. I'll ask an admin to delete it if I'm in error)
Radeus raised his hand and watched as a small fire about the size of a candle's flame danced over eack of his fingers. It was a weak spell, it couldn't stand up to much of anything and would barely light a torch. It was his only fire spell though, he had barely convinced himself to learn this spell. Magic was not something Radeus used much, he trusted in himself only. Not some imagined powers, no matter how real their effects.
"Elves?" Radeus said, "I'd rather kill other things, but elves are die the same as anything else. Lead me to the slaughter." Radeus held the hilt of his sword in his hand as he spoke. It was reassuring to have a weapon when death might come for him.
Adsero - November 9, 2004 08:55 PM (GMT)
(yep, you're suppose to post here.)
"Believe me, elves are much more fun to kill then some other things." A slight hint of venom was evident in her voice. Adsero was usually able to get along with almost any race and alignment but elves were different. Only one or two elves could truly claim to be her friend and she was not even sure how that had happened. The pure hatred and evil she felt in her scared her a little but she was not about to let anything as insugnificant as morals get in her way. She cast a sidelong glance at Radues, fearing that this slaughter might give the evil part of him better hold, but the sweet reward of revenge hung before her eyes and she would not pass up the chance.
Ahren - November 9, 2004 09:09 PM (GMT)
Ahren sat in the branches of a nearby tree, listening to the conversation that was taking place. The wind easily carried the words that were spoken to his ears. He watched the group of people huddled around the fire, preparing to strike when he had the best chance. It was time that this war got underway, and he would be here for the first battle, even if he had to start it. He climbed silently through the trees, hoping that he wouldn't be heard until he wanted to be. He moved forward until he was in a tree almost directly over the fire.
The most recognizable person in the group was Adsero, leader of the Pyro guild, it would be vital to try and take her out soon. If only so that the enemy would be leaderless for a short while. Ahren picked up his bow, and readied an arrow, waiting for the chance to fire. He thought it would be interesting to see what happened if he made his presence know to the assembly. "Killing elves? That doesn't sound very nice, are you sure that you aren't biting off more than you can chew?"
Sin34 - November 10, 2004 12:55 AM (GMT)
As the people talked amongst themselves a black humanoid shaped demon was lurking in the shadow's. When they where done speaking of killing the elves it dissapeared and then reapered about a mile or so away. There on the road was a man cloaked in black.
When the demon had given him the information he said in a quiet voice. "It has been so long since I had the soul to feast on. Soon I will have many elven souls to taste." He then walked over to where the people were and without looking at anyone said "Where are the elves. I will kill them all." In his voice could be heard malice and anger above any one else. His eyes burned pure red as the demon controling him became more excited. He hated all races and people, including those of his guild. However he had sworn an oath not to kill them as long as they remained together.
Adsero - November 10, 2004 09:53 PM (GMT)
Adsero shook her head. At the first appeance of the half elf, she had jumped up and drawn her sword. Now though she smiled. She looked at SIn out of the corner of her eye, not wanting to leave the elf out of her gaze. Again she shook her head. "No Sin, I want to kill some. This is not something I will allow you to do alone but you may keep all the souls if you wish. For now let's deal with this rather rude intruter." She did not speak to the elf but she had already summoned the fire elemntal named Cremo. Slowly, the being crept up behind the elf. It floated enough to be on the same level as the elf. She was determined to his his and his kindred's blood flow that day and nothing would stop her.
Bahamut - November 10, 2004 11:22 PM (GMT)
Bahamut looks at them all from another tree."Elves?I love them. Burning, even if I am-or was, I dunno-one. Burned elves, sounds cool."He was actually hanging upside down, using his clawed feet to grip the tree branch, his clawed hands holding his saw-toothed glaive. His eyes were green, and he had his snake fangs out, and his green skin almost blended in with his surroundings. Only the sharpest eyes could see him among the leaves.
Ahren - November 10, 2004 11:30 PM (GMT)
Ahren watched Adsero calmly, unaware of the fire elemental that was coming up behind him. He walked easily along the tree branch, allowing himself a view of the entire group of people there. "Let's deal with some of this fire, I don't think it would be very helpful if you accidently set fire to the forest, we would all burn." Ahrne tapped into his new magical energies, and summoned up a small rain, large enough to affect the area they were in, but no much further. The cloud released it's rain instantly, puring down on the heads of the people below. "Let's see how effective your fire is when the ground is drenched with rain." Ahren slowly drew an arrow, and set it on his bow, preparing to fire at the hated Adsero.
Adsero - November 11, 2004 04:42 AM (GMT)
Rain fell on her skin and hissed. She quickly wrapped her cloak around her, hood down, and jumped into the lower braches of a tree. Her cloak his all of her from the tiny drops of pain and she glared at the elf from beneath her hood. "Your rain will only take a little more of my energy elf. Energy quickly regained with sleep." Cremo flickered for a second as the rain came down before settling back into it's man-like shape. She would have to feed her energy directly to her fire to keep it alight which would prove draining so she tried to finish this one elf off as soon as possible. Her eyes flared red/orange and Cremo sliced downward with a sword of fire. The words of another comrade reached her ears and she smiled again beneather the hood, eyes still glowing. "How nice of you to join us Bahamut. I didn't notice you in the tree until just now." Her eyes never left the elf.
Radeus - November 11, 2004 06:51 PM (GMT)
"NO MORE RAIN! I CAN'T CONCENTRATE! Radeus warred with himself as he looked around. He couldn't help but look upon the rain and all it's beauty. Rain still continued to surprise him, since he had only seen it once. It frequently distracted him from whatever he was doing at the moment. That could prove deadly here.
Unable to tear his eyes away drom the sky, radeus continued to stand and stare upwards. Rain drenched his face and clothes as he stood in a little gap in the overhanging trees, letting the rain fall untill something more happened.
Ahren - November 11, 2004 09:12 PM (GMT)
Ahren felt the sudden heat from the elemental, and swiftly leapt to the side, hoping to avoid the impending attack. The fire sword missed him by inches, and he landed lightly on another branch. On the outside, he was still calm and watching Adsero, but inside he was cursing himself for allowing himself to be so open to attack like that. "That's a neat trick you have, but I don't think it will help you that much." Ahren looked around carefully, trying to pick out where the voice of Bahumat had come from, he wasn't to worried, if he needed to, he could just fire an arrow, andhave the wind find Bahumat for him.
"So, it seems that you have me outnumbered, still, I don't think I have that much of a disadvantage, you cannot fly, while I can. Plus, I hold a couple of water spells that should prove useful when the time comes." Ahren slowly drew the string of his bow back, ready to release an arrow at Adsero if he needed to. For now, he was more interested in finding the unseen person that had been talking to Adsero.
Radeus - November 12, 2004 06:51 PM (GMT)
OOC POST. Please, someone attack me or something, I don't want to stand in the rain the whole topic. It'd be out of character for me to just stop watching the rain, I NEED HELP. I can't post about the rain for three posts in a row, I need someone to get me fighting. I don't care if adsero stabs me or something, at least I'll be able to help fight then.
Please excuse the fact that this is not an RPing Post.
Adsero - November 12, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
(looks like your rped yourself into a corner. Hope this helps some.)
Adsero drewshoes out a a bag she carried. She loathed to wear the things be they could prove useful. After slipping them on, she jumped down next to radeus. "I realize there is nothing I can do about you currently controling my friend but either give him control or stop staring at the rain." As quickly has she had jumped down she jumped back up into her tree and then into the tree with the elf. "If the need becomes great I will be forced to evaporate the water and kill you that way. If you don't plan to die quickly then prepare for a rather slow and aganizing death by either our swords or our flames. Either way you die." She drew her katanas, growing rather impatient with this elf. The bandit leader below had fled it seemed. No problem, he would pay for his cowardance(sp?) later.
(where is the rest of the hero's guild? I know there's no way that you're the only member.)
Radeus - November 12, 2004 11:34 PM (GMT)
Radeus shook himself out of the trance. He was so fascinated by the rain, Tethyr had no rain, so Radeus had to marvel at the miracle of nature every time a single drop of rain fell. This time was different. There was a battle to be fought, an enemy to be killed. Radeus yelled to Adsero as he walked to the tree with the elf, "This body is mine! I will not give it up! I will burn Radeus out of his hiding place and send him fleeing to the abyss!" Radeus began the climb up to the elf and his ally.
Bahamut - November 13, 2004 04:50 AM (GMT)
Bahamut growls, and drops down from the tree branch, standing up. "Die, elf."He smirks, then rushes to attack the intruder, using his demon powers to help him. He hated elves, except a few, but mostly it was pure hatred.
Radeus - November 13, 2004 03:33 PM (GMT)
Where is the rest of the guild? This guy is going to get slaughtered without help. Ah, what do I care? Radeus had reached the top of the. tree. He climbed onto the branch where the rest of the guild was. He stood back from the others, unwilling to attack untill there was no one else in the way. Killing allies was not good.
Ahren - November 13, 2004 05:43 PM (GMT)
Ahren climbed swiftly higher up the trees, he knew that he was outmatched, and he sincerely hoped that the other members of the guild arrived soon. Ahren drew back his bowstring, and fired an arrow straight down at the members of the pyro guild. Air rushed after the arrow, gaining strength until they were hurricane force. Not waiting to see what happened, Ahren continued to move, if he delayed to long, he would end up dead. He summon energy from the storm above him, and swiftly brought down a lightning bolt to try and strike at the members of the pyro guild. He directed the lightning bolt towards Adsero, trying to take her out quickly.
(I have no idea where the other members are.)
Bahamut - November 13, 2004 08:24 PM (GMT)
He jumps into the tree easily, quickly catching him" Intruders are dealt with, elf."He attacks the elf again, then casts Ennervation at him, using his Demonic Powers to make it twice more powerful.
Adsero - November 13, 2004 08:50 PM (GMT)
(*shakes bahamut* post more then 2 lines please)
Adsero jumpeds out of the way of the arrows, her whole body stinging from the wind but otherwise unharmed. She was forced to jump again to avoid the lightning bolt, this time not missing by so much. She placed most of her weighet on her left leg and ignored the pain in her right foot. Back up into a tree she went, doing her best to follow the elf. He was more agile then her and her foot was making it hard to land but eventually she landed next to him. "You are out numbered elf and I have no problem with setting this whole forest alight, including the elven village. Surrender now or die; I will not give you another chance."
(*glares at the hero's guild* I might have to go yell at your guild buddies. It's no fun when you fight a war against one person)
Bahamut - November 13, 2004 09:16 PM (GMT)
(sorry)
Bahamut smirks, agreeing."You cannot escape, elf. Why not give up? Maybe Adsero will go easy on you. Though I must say, I wouldn't. But she and I are different."He shrugs, waiting for the elf to respond. Why wouldn't he give up, is what Bahamut wanted to know, but it was not his place to ask.
Lilith - November 14, 2004 12:02 AM (GMT)
Lilith came running out of the shadows, her lightning sword in one hand and using her telekinesis to lift a large log. She used all her mental capacity to force the large object at her once beloved Bahamut. “Step away from him!” She screamed. She flew up into the air with her small, delicate wings and grabbed her sword with both hands bringing it near Adsero’s throat. “You will not win this battle Adsero!” She glanced at Ahren and said, “They are coming. Do not fret.” Her concentration was forced back to the enemy.
Radeus - November 14, 2004 01:51 AM (GMT)
Radeus's blade interposed itself between Adsero and the enemy's blade. Earlier, seeing that the battle had been heading upwards, Radeus had silently followed. When the time came, he had struck with a quickness like the snake he was slowly becoming. "Adsero shall not die yet. I will fight you." Radeus grinned as he slowly began to push back against his opponent's blade.
Silently, Radeus called out for another of his allies to join the fight. Slithering up from the lower regions of the tree, came Sisthraii, Radeus' King Cobra. It slid silently up behind Lilith, a deadly grace to it's every movement. The snake opened it's mouth, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Ahren - November 14, 2004 04:46 AM (GMT)
Ahren continued to jump through the trees, narrowly dodging the enervation bolt. He nodded a quick thanks to Lilith for her arrival. Ahren was grateful that the others would soon be arriving. Until then, they would need all the help that they could get. Ahren sent out a plea to any nearby woodland creature. The answer came with surprising speed, a passing wol arrived swiftly to aid in the fight. "So, let's see how the pyro guild is affected by fire." Ahren raised his right hand, and launched forth a barrage of green flame(PrC ability) that would only harm his enemies. It would be interesting to see how the Pyro guild would deal with this fire that burned only them and their allies.
Adsero - November 14, 2004 07:47 PM (GMT)
(Adsero is immune to fire so I'm going to go ahead and assume that green fire counts.)
Seeing that Radeus had the woman taken care of and that more members of the hero's guild were arriving, Adsero continued to rush after the elf. The green fire she ignored, to her knowledge it could not hurt her. Still, she kept and eye on her guild members. The water would not harm them as it did her (though it did distract Radeus some) but they could be harmed by the fire. She did not want to see her guild members hurt. All of that combined with the pain in her leg distracted her and slowed her some. Harro arrived, following the other wolf, and prepared to do his best to keep it distracted. The two members were still outnumbered, but Adsero had a feeling that may change soon.
Lilith - November 15, 2004 02:42 AM (GMT)
The snake behind Lilith went unnoticed as she used all of her concentration on her spell, create water. She had seen how it had effected Radeus and knew to use it to her advantage. She held a handful and threw it in his direction. Then she held her sword out and called for lightening. If the water hit Radeus at the same time the lightening hit, he would be electrocuted. She was not sure if he was somehow immune to it, but she didn't have many choices to chose from. At that moment, a lightening bolt struck the water.
Radeus - November 15, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)
(Evil... Useing water against me... *HINT*Rain will distract me. Not a bucket of water*HINT*)
Radeus hadn't time to think well. She's so quick... Flinging a handfull of water and calling for lightning at the same time, that was fast. His last act was a quick swing at his opponent's sword. Radeus was already grounded, so the water didn't do much for him. It didn't help but it didn't hurt either. Unfortunantly the lightning did hurt him. Radeus was blown backwards, into the weak limbs at the edge of the tree.
As Radeus struggled to regain consciousness, Sisthraii struck at Lilith. All the killer instinct of her breed was free in her, the poison that could drop people in minutes was at her disposal. For her master, she would kill the giants that walked the earth and killed her kind on sight. For Radeus, she would kill.
(I am not dead.)
Ahren - November 17, 2004 03:57 AM (GMT)
Ahren saw Radeus get hit by the lightning, and assumed that he would be out for a while. He concentrated all of his attention of Adsero, summoning up a powerful wind. He launched the wind downward, trying to slow Adsero down even more. Ahren kept his wings tightly folded against his body, not wanting them to get injured by any tree limbs. Ahren continued to climb higher through the trees, leaving no sign that he had passed. It was then that he saw the snake that was poised to strike at Lilith. Ahren swiftly pulled back the arrow on his bow, and launched it downward, commanding the wind to guide it to hit the ground right in the path of the snake. It would stop the snake long enough to act against it. "Watch the snake behind you Lilith!" Ahren summoned his cloud companion, and stepped onto it lightly. It would make a perfect platform from which to strike at the members of the Pyro guild.
Bahamut - November 17, 2004 11:04 PM (GMT)
Bahamut smirks. He was confused about the fairy girl, but would feel no remorse in killing her. "Now it is your turn, fairy girl."He swings the glaive at her, spitting poison as he does so, then jumps up a bit higher. "Catch me if you can." Grinning, he jumps up another branch, which breaks under him. His right foot catches a branch, and he stays that way, dazed.
Adsero - November 19, 2004 01:21 AM (GMT)
(you guys only have 2 members? :( I'm disappointed my rant only got one more person to come)
Adsero put her arms before her face, crossed over each other, and stood the pain. It was less effective then water by far but it still greatly stung and she felt blood trickle down her arms. To think that two lone heros were gaining even equal footing against 3 (she did not count anyone not currently dealing with any imediate threat) pyros. If they could not defeate these two, how could they hope to defeat the entire guild? There was of course the chance that this was the entire guild but from what she had seen and what she knew, neither of these two were the leader which ment there was at least one other member they would have to battle. She didn't like this very much. Not so much the fact that she was being beaten, that she could deal with and had many times, but the fact that so many skeems and posibilities came to mind. She wasn't like that, she didn't plan to kill or even take that forceful of a role as leader. She was a backseat type person, merely bringing together some people with a common love and introducing the option of working together. But these were her friends and fire was her love and her being. If they stood in the way of that or any other guild actions, war would become unavoidable.
(technically, the pyro guild IC has not decalred war or thought of it. We're just out to kill some elves and you're in our way, thus building the tension that leads to the war. there is an outline of what me and falco came up with in the pyros guild for any unaware of the above fact.)
falcotank386 - December 19, 2004 08:18 AM (GMT)
(srry so late long time to talk my mom to let me come back on)
Mithranduir had been chanting a storm just out of view of the pyro guild and his own. He was also studing the attack habits of this intriquing guild. When the storm seemed like you could see it from miles away it followed him as he jumped down from the tree as Bahamut spits poison so he saw some wood and used control winds to carry it over to Lilith and take the acid hit for her. [color:gray] Why are you here Adsero? Why must you and your guild terroize the elves that live in this forest? By the way sorry I'm late Lilth and Ahren I wanted to do alittle "spying" on the behavioral patterns of this guild.[/color] Then he drew the sword Narsil reforged by the great Godess Ciara of the Air and started to quicken his pace twords her. Then he jumped into the air and came down to what looked like was a first attack. But at the last second he cast a Storm Kindlers Obscuring Mists and it quickly blanketed the battle field and he dissapeared in it leaving Adsero unharmed. Then the storm came in.
Adsero - December 19, 2004 09:46 PM (GMT)
"Revenge Mithranduir! Something I doubt you know anything about." Adsero shouted at the guild master. So, he has finally arrived. This could prove to make things much more difficult but much more interesting. Adsero looked up at the sky and noticed the storm aproaching. "Dammit! Can't you people ever make things easy?" She wrapped her cloak around her tightly and jumped next to Radeus. The guild leader had arrived but was shrouded in mist. She knew the water in the mist would melt away her skin slowly and she already had the rain to deal with, not to mention both Radeus and Bahamut being dazed in trees. "All I wanted was to kill some damned elves but no, you stupid do-gooders had to show up and ruin it." Adsero sliced at Lilth, clentching her teeth in anger. "Now for fires sakes, could someone please tell me why you all care so much about some murdering elves!? Is it some sort of hero complex or something, where you really think that everyone can just 'get along'? You may have ruined my day bt there's no way in any of the nine hells I'm going to let you ruin my revenge!"
falcotank386 - December 20, 2004 09:06 AM (GMT)
Mithranduir yelled to his gulid members Jump above the mist! Or you will be sorry! Then almost 1 1/2 seconds later he called lighting from the skies to electrify the mist (one of his favorite combos) and do some well deserved damage to the Pyro Guild. Then once the mist dissapated he ran at Adsero and drew Thor's Bane and used it to call lightning to hit Adsero and then he attempted to slash her starting at the right collarbone.
Adsero - December 20, 2004 06:06 PM (GMT)
Adsero jumped away from the tree and into a different tree to avoid the lightning, hoping Radeus would be alright. She barely got her sword up in time to block his attack. She kicked at him with her foot, slicing horizontally across his chest with her free sword. "Hey Radeus and Bahamut, might be nice if you would wake up now."
(Sorry for the short post.)
Geist - December 20, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
Geist was quickly walking down a narrow path towards a clearing where he heard a battle had broke out between his guild and another. He was given to little details in his breifing from Mithranduir, but he heard that the rival guild had been intercepted before they could shed Elven blood as they had planned. This enraged Geist, unskilled in magic he may be but in hand to hand combat he was no less a formendal foe.
Geist jerked his head left as a lightning bolt struck from the skies to a area not far from him. He watched in awe as a rather huge light show erupted as the lightning adparently hit alot of water and ran through it like a hot knife through butter. Geist drew his Scimitar and muttered, "Short cut." before he ran straight toward where the lightning bolt had assumingly hit.
Geist arrived in seconds to see a ongoing battle between the Hero's and Pyro guild. He looked up to see a couple fiures in the trees but he was unable to tell who was who. He quickly placed the reverse edge of his Scimitar in his teeth and begin his desent into the nearest tree by grabbing a nearby limb and pulling himself up...
Ahren - December 20, 2004 10:31 PM (GMT)
Ahren ignored Mithranduir's warning. He had his wall of wind blow the fog away from him. He ended up standing in a small area with no fog in it. Smiling at Mithranduir's lightning bolt, Ahren summoned his own. Directing it to where Adsero had last been seen, he drew another arrow from his quiver. He needed to delay the other pyro guild members from joining the fight. Pulling the string back, he brought to his mind the image of Bahumat. Releasing the string, the arrow flew through the fog, curving through the air until it was heading toward Bahumat. Ahen drew one of his knives, and plunged into the fog, racing to the area where the wind told him Adsero was. If they could kill the leader, then the guild would crumble. The other guild members had finally arrived, so this fight would become more even sided.
falcotank386 - December 21, 2004 12:58 PM (GMT)
Mithranduir saw this attack coming and he jumped back off the tree and into the middle of the battle ground. Then all of a sudden a light tunnel froze Mithranduir in his place. Then the greatest of the Celestials came out of what seemed like air and began conversing with him. Then the Celestial Solar dissapered and there was a scream from Mithranduir and then he dropped to the floor and got up very weak. He sheathed narsil and told everyone I'm ok keep attacking don't let them catch you off your gaurd. Then he sat there by a tree and rested.
Adsero - December 21, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
Adsero was pleased to see that Mith was weakened. She barely had time to smile though before the lightning bolt hit her. White hot pain seared it's way through her body, her mouth open in a soundless scream. The ground rushed up to meet her and hit her hard in the back. She lay there stunned, in too much pain to lift herself up. "I......hate......lightning......." A human like fire elemental appeared in front of Adsero, ready to fight any who dared attack her and trying to keep the mist at bay. Well, this isn't good.
Geist - December 21, 2004 11:06 PM (GMT)
Geist watched as a lightning bolt struck a person in the tree. He watched as she slammed into the forest floor. He grinned it was Adsero, the Pyro Guild Leader, He turned and jumped towards her but before he was 5 feet above her, a fire elemental appeared between him and Adsero. Geist barely had the time to say, "I'm fucked..." seconds before he would land in the Elementals arms. Geist knew he was in for it now, scorching and burnings. He knew a whole world of hurt lay ahead...
falcotank386 - December 22, 2004 12:04 AM (GMT)
Mithranduir saw that Giest was about to get cooked so he screamed Ciara give me strength! Then he looked up to the sky and let the rain come. And it came hard! He thought Giest fell and hit the ground and the elemental was extinguished. Then he got up and looked at aderso and ran up to her and drew Narsil and waited for her next move.
Geist - December 22, 2004 12:13 AM (GMT)
There was a dull 'THUD' has Geist hit the ground at Adseros feet. He groaned sharply and clenched his rib cage with his right arm but when he did this, to his horror, he did not have his Scimitar in his hand. It struck him that he dropped it in his fall, he quickly galanced around for it but it was hard to see in such pouring rain, and with his vise blurred from his rough landing it was impossible to find before Adsero took advantage of him. So Geist quickly began pulling himself through the mud in a crawl to the trees...
