Title: Wandering the Cathedral
Bahamut - November 6, 2004 06:19 PM (GMT)
Bahamut was walking through the cathedral."I like this place, it's nice."He smiles, then sings the song that was all he remembered of Gaia anymore.
"Alone for a while I've been searching through the dark,
For traces of the love you left inside my lonely heart.
To weave by picking up the pieces that remain. Melodies of Life-Love's lost refrain.
Our paths they did cross, though I cannot say just why,
We met, we laughed, we held on fast, and then we said good-bye,
And who'll hear the echoes of stories never told?
Let them ring out loud till they unfold.
In my dearest memories, I see you reaching out to me.
Though you're gone, I still believe that you can call out my name.
A voice from the past, joining yours and mine.
Adding the layers of harmony.
And so it goes, on and on.
Melodies of life.
To the sky beyond the flying birds-forever and beyond.
So far and away, see the bird as it flies,
Gliding through the shadows of the clouds up in the sky,
I've laid my memories, do you remember loving me?
Leave them now and see what tomorrow brings.
In your dearest memories, do you remember loving me?
Was it fate that brought us close and now leaves me behind? A voice from the past, joining yours and mine.
Adding the layers of harmony.
And so it goes, on and on.
Melodies of life.
To the sky beyond the flying birds-forever and beyond.
If should I leave this lonely world behind.
Your voice will still remember our melody.
Now I know we'll carry on.
Melodies of Life.
Come circle round and grow deep in our hearts, as long as we
remember."
Zan - November 6, 2004 07:25 PM (GMT)
Zan loved to stroll through mysterious places. And the ancient ruins were one of his favourites. He liked to explore the place where once had been a town with civilization, but now was nothing more but a deserted mess.
He flapped his bat-like wings and jumped on top of a big boulder, fooling around a bit with his own powers. He made a back flip and landed on the floor again, after which he used his claws of darkness spell to make long purple arms appear that grabbed and killed a small bird.
He produced a sick laughter and continued wandering around until he heard a song sung by a man somewhere in the distance. He frowned and grinned evilly, deciding to sneak up on the person, whoever it was. He dived into the shadows and stayed hidden, pressing his back against a wall. His assassinating skills were so well developed that no one ever heard him coming, and that was perfect for murdering his victims.
He sneaked towards the cathedral and walked in, noticing that the singing man was standing in the centre. The song sounded pretty melancholic, but to Zan, everything sounded sad so that didn't say a thing. He folded his coal black wings upon his back again and waited there, his hands sliding into the pockets of his long black coat. He wondered if the man would notice him any time soon. He narrowed his dark eyes that were surrounded by black lines and smirked.
Bahamut - November 6, 2004 07:38 PM (GMT)
He looks up, then scans the area, drawing his twin swords. He thought he had heard something, but couldn't see anything. He shrugs, then walks up to the altar. It was to some ancient God or goddess."Accursed thing."He casts Draconic Might, and attacks it with his bare fists, destroying the altar.
Zan - November 6, 2004 07:46 PM (GMT)
Zan grinned when he realised the man hadn't seen him yet. He perfectly blended with the shadows; in his black shirt, black pants, black coat and thick black boots. He had an extra-ordinary appearance, especially because of his gothic-like clothing, small horns on top of his head, bat-like wings and small tail, although the tail was always hidden. His dark green eyes gazed at the man and watched how he destroyed the altar, while Zan swept his long silver hair out of his pale face. He didn't have white hair because he was old, he was still very young but for some reason, he was born with it. It was greyer now than it had been before, so he kind of hoped that it would turn black as he became older.
He finally decided to stop stalking the shadows and stepped forwards, his heavy boots making quiet thuds on the stone floor.
"Tut tut tut... Looting, are we?" he said sarcastically, seeing that he wasn't at all opposed to looting himself.
He placed his right hand upon the hilt of his katana in case the man would strike at him.
Bahamut - November 6, 2004 07:54 PM (GMT)
He keeps destroying the altar."No. I just hate the divine. I want to kill them all!Every last one, for what they did to me. I will not stop. The Grave Is No Bar To My Call."He keeps attacking the altar until nothing is left, then turns to the newcomer, looking at him with his different colored eyes.
Varila - November 6, 2004 11:02 PM (GMT)
Varila entered into the ruins of the Cathedral and saw Bahamut and a stranger. Perhaps there was something here that could aid her; something that could fill this emptiness inside of her. Her eyes were devoid of emotion, but within she was furious at what had happened. Pressing a hand to her side, she withdrew it and saw the blood, saw it on her hand.
For a moment she stared at her hand, but soon smeared it angrily across the wall. If it weren't for the help that Kore had given her, she would have been far weaker by now, but her power seemed stronger than ever. Turning to Bahamut, her eyes fell on him coldly. It was his own fault that he had been demoted. Nobody else had thought him competent, but at sign of improvement, they had decided that he was near enough to competent for the job. ((ooc:is that song something you wrote, and does it refer to Bahamut and Varila's past relationship?))
Bahamut - November 6, 2004 11:24 PM (GMT)
(erm, almost, and no its from Final Fantasy 9, just like Bahamut is.)
He turns to her."You!"(i never described his looks in this yet, so its got his prestige class stuff, without snakes or eyes on)He growls, grabbing his saw toothed glaive, eyes turning green, fangs coming out."Good to see you again, I suppose."He uses Withering Gaze, hoping she'll look into his eyes, though he didn't know if it worked on the divine.
Varila - November 6, 2004 11:33 PM (GMT)
Her dagger sang as it was withdrawn from its sheath. "Do not play with death," she said coldly. "It will strike you down in a hearbeat." Smiling at his challenge, she looked at him indirectly and then her aura flared, more powerful than before. Black fire and lightning were entwined about the dagger as she drew it back, ready to attack if he attacked.
"Why do you wish to destroy us?" she demanded frigidly, her eyes stone-cold. "Don't you know that your challenge will only bring death?" The way she gazed at him, she could have been death itself, for her expression was colder than the harshest winter, and she had a rigidity that shouted her anger silently.
"This is my last warning Bahamut," she said softly, "Stop this idiocy or I will be forced to kill you where you stand."
Bahamut - November 7, 2004 12:20 AM (GMT)
"My challenge may bring death, but I will be reborn. I always will be, until the flame that resides in you,"He points the glaive at her"is dead. Your Flame is my key to rest eternal, my escape from my memories."
Varila - November 7, 2004 12:26 AM (GMT)
"But my death will not bring that of the Flame," she said softly. "I am the one that keeps the Flame of Alumri from rending this world limb from limb." Her dagger inched forward. He was not the same person anymore; his death would not hold the same significance as it once had.
Bahamut - November 7, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
"I'll kill the flame! It is my eternal enemy, always has been, always shall be. And my death now wont stop it. it will only bring another rebirth. Who knows when, or whos ill be. I might be your second child, or anyones. But I'll still remember all of this, and all my other lives."
Varila - November 7, 2004 12:43 AM (GMT)
"It will serve you no good; the Flame can only be suppressed, not destroyed." She sighed and held up her arm, revealing the blood that showed on her garment down to her hip. "This is what it did to me, with my power going, trying its best to keep itself under control. Now that you are mortal, it has the ability to rend you limb from limb."
Bahamut - November 7, 2004 12:52 AM (GMT)
"Anything can be destroyed. Even the Flame. He and I, we have our goals. When we fulfill them, or are killed by the other, we have sleep eternal."He smiles at the thought.
