Title: Seeking the Unknown

Iliana - November 2, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
Should I or Shouldn't I? Iliana was contemplating whether or not she should ask for training. She didn’t know if she had any skills and was a little afraid to find out. All of her life she had never known anything about herself. Only recently did she find that she wasn’t susceptibly to some poisons. Iliana didn’t know anything of her family’s history or much of her history at that. Yet she was still on a quest.

But how hard could asking be? am I not here to learn about...me? Iliana scolded herself for she was ferrous because she was being afraid. Fear did not suet her well.

Master Ace - November 2, 2004 01:58 AM (GMT)
Master Ace watched a woman approach the academy grounds from a grand tree. He rested upon a brach in the form of a skinny black cat. She seemed troubled. Ace guessed it was choice of whether or not to join or take classes in the academy. This was a question that befell many who ventured to the academy grounds. Ace hoped he could prehaps give her a push in the right direction. "What is the matter? Is there something that can be done to cure what apparently ails your mind," Master Ace called from the tree. The branch was fairly lowly to the ground and uncover by leaves of other branches. Ace figured that she would be able to see him clear enough.

Iliana - November 2, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
Iliana directed her attention to the voice. She had been unaware that she was being watched and felt slightly embarrassed. Her mind was troubled and hopefully this person could help her in some way.
“Umm…yes,” she replied, “I was wondering how one goes about joining this school? I’m fairly new to this area, but someone told me that if I was looking to learn about magic, this would be a good place to start.”

Selena Starling - November 2, 2004 09:44 AM (GMT)
Two strangers had crossed her path Selena had just noticed. Or were they? There was something familiar about their voices. And when she came closer, she figured, they weren't 'strange' at all.

Master Ace - November 2, 2004 08:25 PM (GMT)
(Um... Selena I know you can do better than that.)
Master Ace listen to her words and leapt down from the tree and landed cleanly on all fours. He quickly changed his form after touching the ground. In seconds a black cat no longer stood before her, but half-dragon. Ace ran his fingers through his long green hair. He strecthed out his emerald scaled wings and tail before speaking to her. His grass green eyes turned their attention to Iliana. "You were told right," Master Ace smiled. "I am Master Ace. I am a magister here at the academy," Master Ace introduced himself. His smile then turned to a frown. "Unfortunely due to a lack of students you will have to settle private lessons here rather than a full class. This doesn't bother you.... I don't think I've caught your name."

Iliana - November 2, 2004 08:44 PM (GMT)
Iliana looked at the two of them, “Iliana,” she said nodding her head a little, “and it’s a pleasure. Privet lessons are totally fine by me. In a way I would probably like it better.”
She looked at the woman and wasn’t sure if she had seen her somewhere before. There was a slight familiarity in the eyes. Iliana had crossed paths with so many she didn’t dare try to keep track. This woman’s face struck something in her, though, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

Master Ace - November 2, 2004 10:54 PM (GMT)
"It is likewise a pleasure to meet you," Master Ace replied. "Some how you seemed one who would prefer privat lessons. Do you have a paticular brand of magic you wish to Learn? ...And do you know any magic now?" Master ace noticed that Iliana's eye's were focus on something. He turned to get a veiw of what she appeared to be looking at. He immediately recognized the woman as none other than Selena. "It's been a long time since I last saw you on the academy grounds," Ace smiled calling out to Selena.

Selena Starling - November 3, 2004 08:33 PM (GMT)
(I know, but I just wanted to role play and be in the story with you all. Does it matter how I get there? Just wanted TO get there.)

Selena walked up to her old friends with a smile on their face. She instantly saw Ace's eyes light up as he saw her. She was pleased to see they were happy to see her again. She always had this strange feeling that people might not know her anymore after a while. Though really, that was stupid, why wouldn't they. And, also, she hadn't been away from Imythess from that long. Only two months or so. Though it had seemed very much longer to her. But that, of course, had a little something to do with all the fighting off evil she had found herself in at the time. But now she was back in Imythess. Back home. And she was very happy to already meet up with some of the nice people she had left behind. She hadn't yet realised until now how much she had missed everyone.

She stuck out her hand towards them and greeted them merrily, still smiling. ''How funny that I stumble upon you here on my first night back in Imythess. Please, do tell me, how have you been doing? What's been going on here? I have only been away on business -she grinned as she said that- for two months or so, but it felt so much longer than that.'

Iliana - November 3, 2004 08:48 PM (GMT)
Iliana was still staring at the women when she answered Master Ace “I don’t know any magic, but something tells me I’ll learn fast.”

She reached for the woman’s hand and shook it lightly, “I’m Iliana,” she said cocking her head slightly to her right, “have we met before?” She knew she didn’t know the woman. The stranger appeared to be harmless, so she was definitely sure that they hadn’t met. Or maybe she was wrong, which happens often.

Sometimes Iliana feels as if she can’t distinguish between reality and dreams. Ever since she was a child she felt she always lived in a different dimension then others. Maybe that was her inner reasoning for always being alone? To avoid what one doesn't understand? she thought to herself.

Selena Starling - November 3, 2004 09:22 PM (GMT)
Selena shook hands with the dark haired mage. Her thoughts racing, she spoke her name; ''Iiana.'' She looked at her for a moment. Then she blinked and snapped back to reality. Only to find that she was still holding her hand. The already strange situation now was very uncomfertable for her.
''Sorry,'' she quickly excused herself and let go of her hand. She smiled, staring at the girl blankly.
''I really thought we had already met. Or maybe...maybe you look like someone I know.... Hmmm, that could be it. I don't know. Maybe it was Kli you reminded me of. But your name does sound familiar to me. Or maybe you just have one hell of a reputation.'' She grinned as she said that, letting her know that last comment was meant as a joke.
''Please, can you tell me, Ace? Have I ever met this young girl?'' She turned to face him again as she said that. ''You often know it all.''
Or maybe I saw her in one of my premonitions... Oh, that gift sometimes really is a curse...

Morgraith - November 3, 2004 10:56 PM (GMT)
*Dedicate StrayFire exited the shop, a small package that contained various herbs and fungi for a healing potion he required. But instead of heading back to the inn, he had decided to investigate the prestigious Academy of Magick. His curiosity willed him to see whether they trained academic mages or if they trained ambient ones too. And so he walked steadily towards the Academy, unmissable as it was the only building that rose high above all the shops and houses in the general area.

After making his way through the labyrinth of backstreets and alleys, he had found himself standing in front of the Academy. He gazed in awe, seeing the immense power there by the silver sheen cast over everything. Outside the gates, he saw three people standing there, talking. Two of them had strong magicks, their power blazing inside them. But the third one had no magick.*

Maybe she's just studying there as a student.

*But as he walked past them, he saw out of the corner of his eye a faint glimmer of silver but when he looked back to the girl, it was gone.*

Probably just a trick of the light or something.

*He was just about to walk into the Academy before he suddenly remembered that he had never been here before and didn't know the way. So he turned around and approached the group before asking.*

"Excuse me, but can anyone help me?"

Master Ace - November 3, 2004 11:30 PM (GMT)
"Starting at the foundation may be easy compared to starting after floundering foundation has been formed," Master Ace thought to himself in response to Iliana's words.
He listened to Selena. "I wonder what one as active as her has been doing all this time. I'll have to make sure to ask her about her adventures later on. Now is a bad time though," Master Ace thought to himself after Listening quitely to Selena. "I don't think she seems like Kli, or any I recall seeing..."

"Selena, I don't think you have met her. I have only just met her myself. She also claims to not have been around in the area until recently. If you did meet her I did not know of your meeting," Master Ace smiled as he could feel himself blushing at her words. Ace saw man walk by while he spoke to Selena. There was a strange twinkle in the man's eyes. Ace was sure he had never seen this man before. "He seemed slightly studious. Prehaps he, like many others, meant to check on a few resources in the academy library, or prehaps he was looking to join the academy and help rid it of it's lack of students," Master Ace thought to himself as he silently studied the man."

Master Ace watched as the man turned around and walked back to them. "I will do my best to. Should it be something to do with this academy I am sure I can help you," he answered.

Iliana - November 4, 2004 02:12 PM (GMT)
Iliana looked at the new arrival to the conversation. This must be a popular place, she thought. The people here were kind and Iliana wouldn’t have a problem fitting in. Although, she was a little unsure of this new character.
“I don’t think I’ll be any use,” she said to the newcomer with a slight smile, “I only just arrived here myself and was asking the same question as you.”

Morgraith - November 5, 2004 10:13 PM (GMT)
“I don’t think I’ll be any use.” “I only just arrived here myself and was asking the same question as you.”

"Oh, I guess then I'll be studying in some of your classes then? Or are you not here to study?"

*He smiled gently but his mind was buzzing with thought.*

She says she's new here, but it appears she came here on her own free will, perhaps she does have magick after all...

*He turned to the man*

"And I'll be glad for any assistance that you can offer me"

*He held out his hand to shake*

"I'm Dedicate Strayfire, it's only been half a year since I recieved my mage certificate at Broken Circle Temple but even though I've completed training, I'm still having trouble controlling my power effectively."

Iliana - November 16, 2004 11:20 PM (GMT)
“I’m here to learn,” Iliana replied, “or at least I think I am? I just kind of ended up here and someone told me that if I was looking for something this would be a good place to start.” She smiled in a confused but somewhat sure of herself way. She didn’t know if she had any gifts but it would hurt to find out. Everyday Iliana tends to find something new about herself, whether it be magic or not.
