Title: Watching the marketplace in boredom

Raine - October 10, 2004 07:46 PM (GMT)
Pertched atop a clay-built house, Raine watched, legs dangling, the busy Tethyr market. His wolf, laying beside him, panted heavily in the heat with an almost empty bowl of water by his side. Looking down, he saw elegant furs and jewels being traded for numerous priceless items and artifacts. Kids stealing apples and other fruits, some being chased by the monkeys that guarded them. He looked up at the huge sun watching over them all. Hoping the day would not go by without some excitement, he hopped down onto the ground, nearly landing on a small boy. He looked up a Raine with awe and ran away. His wolf looked down at him with anger, his gray fur burning in the baking sun. Can't we find a place to get away from this heat? He said to him. "Yeah, if you'll ever get down from there!" He jumped down, quite a high fall for a wolf, but appeared totally unharmed. He was eager to cool down. The two walked off, finding something to see.
