Title: Awaiting...
Description: Open
Phedre - October 5, 2004 06:58 PM (GMT)
Phedre hung absent-mindedly from one of the spider web coated tree branches. Her long legs wrapped easily around the branch and let the rest of her slender frame to dangle upsidedown, her arms extended to the ground. Her long crimson hair was loose and hung like a velvet curtain towards the earth. This was one place she could be anyday and any time. It never seemed to get much sun here.
She hummed a song in a saddened minor key, with a smile on her face. She let her body sway back and forth, not having to worry much about blood rushing to her head. She projected her hum until it became a song and her blood-red lips parted happily to sing, "Oh heart and home and burned new light, I pray that death come here tonight, and takes me far from earth and sky, and into feilds of red a-by. And give my soul away to her, who gladly prays upon its burr."
Radeus - October 30, 2004 01:12 AM (GMT)
Radeus stepped out of the shadows from behind a gnarled tree, a large grin on his face. "Your singing is most commendable. I applaude your performance." Radeus bowed to the upsidedown woman. "I must ask though, why are you upsidedown? Is that not a bit uncomfortable?"
Phedre - October 31, 2004 12:12 AM (GMT)
Phedre looked strangly at the man, before flipping up off the branch and landing on her feet on the ground. She gave him a curious look and raised her brow, "I'm glad you enjoyed the private performance," she said with a smile, "although I must admitt, I was hoping one who'd hear it wouldn't mind following through with it's words." She rubbed her hands down her front, clearing them from the bark they were full of from her dismount, "and no, it wasn't near uncomfortable."
Radeus - October 31, 2004 12:41 AM (GMT)
Radeus shrugged at her last statement. "To each thier own. But, why do you want to die and, whatever the rest of the song was." He breathed in the swamp air, smelling the strange smells and tasting death on the wind. Radeus coughed then, for a slight speck had lodged itself in his throat. Every hair on his body instantly grew about six feet. Coughing and stumbling, Radeus reached for his poison sword, which had fell a few feet away.
Phedre - October 31, 2004 01:08 AM (GMT)
Phedre raised a brow, "Well I didn't want to die, I wanted you to-" she stopped when she saw him fumbling around coughing. She saw his hair grow, "interesting." She ran a hand through her own hair and looked down at him, grasping for his blade. "You need a fang," she said with a laugh, "I mean hand? You need a hand?"
Her amber eyes danced with amusement. If he died right infront of her she wouldnt need to worry about killing and it would be extremely fresh meat.
Radeus - October 31, 2004 09:10 PM (GMT)
Radeus finnally got hold of his sword. With a wooshing sound, it sliced through the air, and the hair that covered Radeus's face. Gasping, he fell to his knees and tried to regain his breath. Breathing through all that hair was impossible, Radeus thanked every god he knew of that his sword had fallen, otherwise he would be dead now.
My turn. You've had your fun, go hide somewhere. Radeus forced his alternate side out of control of the body. Standing up, he cast "Alter Self" to remove the mass of hair that covered him. "Where were we?"
Phedre - October 31, 2004 09:26 PM (GMT)
Phedre shook her head, a hand resting on her forehead. She came to realize she wasn't the only other freak here and her appitite desolved quickly. She ran a hand through her hair and shrugged, "I'm not sure," she said softly, "what's wrong with you?" she asked rather bluntly. She smiled to show her "problem" as well, white fangs protruding from under her crimson top lip.
She crossed her arms over her chest and awaited an answer, moving to lean against a nearby tree. She flicked a wandering spider from it's trunk and watched it hit the ground and scuttle off.
Radeus - November 1, 2004 06:57 PM (GMT)
Radeus put up his mental defenses to help ward off his darker side. It had been a while since he had last been in control, and he would savor every moment of it. His "problem" as she put it was probably worse than hers. Sharing your body with another entity, it is not something one has fun with.
"Nice teeth. Mine are better." Radeus grinned and watched as every tooth in his mouth grew out about a foot and a half and sharpened like razors. They bended and twisted to jut out of the mouth, unwilling to harm thier master. Radeus smiled a huge, toothy grin and said, around a mouthful of teeth, ]"Let me introduce myselves. I am Radeus, and I have split personalities."
Phedre - November 1, 2004 10:26 PM (GMT)
When his teeth protruded from his mouth, Phedre couldn't help but roll her eyes in her trademark fashion. She grew easily annoyed, but showoffs rubbed her hard the wrong way. "Wow... what amazing teeth," she groaned sarcastically.
She nodded when he introduced himself and help back a burst of laughter when he told her his 'problem.' "Split personality?" she repeated, turning away a moment to laugh silently, "that sounds," she tried to sober up, "horrible." She shrugged and crossed her arms over her chest, "I'm Phedre, Lady Of The Night. And I do believe you know what my problem is, so to speak."
Radeus - November 2, 2004 07:04 PM (GMT)
Radeus sighed as every single one of his giant teeth fell out and sank into the damp ground. "I hate it when that happens." Shaking off the foul mood that had came as the result of his missing teeth, Radeus straightened up and said, "What do you mean by problem? Is having fangs and prefering the dark a problem or a gift from above? If you don't like your teeth, file 'em off and act like you want. If you prefer being a cold killer, that's fine too."
Phedre - November 3, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
Phedre laughed, her fangs catching the small amount of moonlight which sifted through the swamp. "Obviously you no nothing of my situation." That was all she said on the subject, chosing instead to no give unneeded information about herself. She bent down and picked up a falled tooth, twisting it between her fingers.
"Can I keep this?" she asked softly, motioning to the tooth. She poked the tip of the fang with her index finger, smiling as a small throb of pain shot into it at immediate impact. She raised a brow at the man, awaiting the answer, her amber eyes glittering in deep thought which would remain a mystery to the world's population.
Radeus - November 4, 2004 06:44 PM (GMT)
Radeus thoguht back to a vampire he had once known. Before it had gone away, it had told it's story to him. It had changed from an evil killing machine to a good being.
(Real story. Look around for one of my characters called "ZORGN" if you want to know more. It's an interesting story, at least untill he becomes a beggar.)
Radeus waved his hand in a gesture meant to convey that she could take the tooth. Radeus was a little anoyed that he was wrong. Things like that occupied his mind for a long time, unless he knew why he was wrong. "I don't see what you think is wrong with my suggestion. You are a vampire, so what is wrong?"
Phedre - November 4, 2004 11:22 PM (GMT)
Phedre nodded in thanks and slipped her dagger from its sheath at her hip. She twisted it's sharp tip into the top of the fang until it pierced the other side, making a slight hole through it. She pulled a braided chord from her pocket and strung it through the hole, tying it tightly. The chord was died in blood and seemed to glow an eerie crimson. She twisted her hair into a tight bun and peirced the fang through it, the red chord hanging from it in murderous decoration.
She dropped her hands to cross her chest when the question was asked. "If I tell you, I'd have to kill you," she said with a teasing smile on her lips. She gave him a curt wink and got serious a moment. "In all actuallity, that's a rather personal question. It would bring up weaknesses, in which get you killed in reality." She stopped there, not wanting to give more away. Should have probably dumbed it down to not give away anything important if there was some sort of incentive, but she saw none.
Radeus - November 8, 2004 06:51 PM (GMT)
Radeus was getting tired with sitting in the middle of a swamp and talking to a reluctant vampire. Eventually, he just gave up, "Fine with me. I'm gone." Radeus turned and walked through the swamp, heading hom and away from this festering hell-hole.
Phedre - November 8, 2004 09:55 PM (GMT)
Phedre took the man's hasty departure as quite the insult and anger soon pulsed through her viens. She drew her dagger from it's resting place at her hip and aimed to hit the man in his calf so he would stay a little longer. Mutant-skitzo he was, you still don't rudly leave the Lady of the Night's presence. She loosed the dagger and watched it fly true, aiming striaght for his lower leg. "Please, stay a while."
Radeus - November 9, 2004 07:02 PM (GMT)
Radeus fell as the dagger pierced his leg. He did not cry out, his sense of honor would not allow that. It would allow for revenge.
Radeus pulled the darrer out of his leg, using a healing spell as he did so. The flesh knitted together and the blood stopped flowing. Standing up out of the muck and his blood, Radeus unsheathed his poison blade, dagger in his other hand. "You picked a bad person to attack. My weak side has since fled and I am now in control of this body. I will have your heart as a trophy." Radeus advanced upon the vampire, a look of absolute loathing upon his face as he sought her death.
Phedre - November 9, 2004 09:50 PM (GMT)
Phedre rolled her eyes, what an overreaction. She barely moved, watching the man run at her with a long blade, and her own dagger. She let out a sigh and tried to speak to the enraged man, "Look, obviously you took this the wrong way. I assumed you had a healing spell so I figured it'd be an easy way to get you to stay-" she had to stop there to dance out of the way of the raging man. She contemplated shape changing to balance the fight, but decided against it, once more dancing out of harm's way. " Look, CALM DOWN!"
Radeus - November 10, 2004 06:58 PM (GMT)
Radeus wasn't buying her story. No one tried to kill him without a fight. Radeus would not roll over and die. "Bull! I surprised you with my spell. You were going to kill me!" Radeus stopped and took a swing at The vampire's chest. "Gonna suck my blood! No way!"
Phedre - November 26, 2004 04:08 PM (GMT)
Phedre hopped back just intime, the blade only grazing over her stomach leaving a shallow cut. Her muscles were stiff with the wait she sat earlier and he wasn't moving as fluid as usual. She let out a curse and spat to the ground. "Fine, we'll make a deal," she said begining to pant with the effort to avoid the shots, "I won't lap up your bloody mess, and you leave here without looking back."
Phedre paused a moment to let her demon form well up inside her. Her eyes began to shimmer an enchanting gold and her lips turned into an innocent, hypnotizing smile. Her loose hair fell across her cheeks like velvet sheets, catching the moonlight, seeming to glow. Her alignment was already hidden, but she turned on the charm, her new demon form being able to charm the male species to do whatever she asks of them, intranced by her beauty.
